1Chemical comparison of dried rehmannia root and prepared rehmannia root by UPLC-TOF MS and HPLC-ELSD with multivariate statistical analysis显示文摘To identify the chemical differences which lead to the different therapeutic effects of dried rehmannia root(DRR)and prepared rehmannia root(PRR),we compared the chemical composition of decoctions of randomly purchased DRR and PRR using ultra performance liquid chromatography(UPLC)coupled with time-of-fight mass spectrometry and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)coupled with evaporative light scattering detection(ELSD)with the aid of multivariate statistical analysis.Both approaches clearly revealed compositional and quantitative differences between DRR and PRR.UPLC-MS data indicated stachyose,rehmaiono-side A(or rehmaionoside B),acteoside(or forsythiaside,or isoacteoside),6-O-coumaroylajugol(or 6-O-E-feruloylajugol,or 6-O-Z-feruloylajugol)as important discriminators between DRR and PRR decoctions.HPLC-ELSD analysis showed that the content of fructose in the decoctions of PRR was about four times greater than that of DRR(P<10^(-5)),while sucrose content in the decoctions of PRR was only about one seventh of that in DRR(P<0.01).Our results suggest that some compounds,such as fructose,stachyose and rehmaionoside,may be responsible for the differing therapeutic effects of DRR and PRR.Furthermore,improvements in quality control for PRR,which is currently lacking in the Chinese Pharmacopoeia,are recommended.Qiande Liang Jing Ma Zengchun Ma Yuguang Wang Hongling Tan Chengrong Xiao Ming Liu Beibei Lu Boli Zhang Yue Gao 2013Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,1:8
2The temporal and spatial patterns and potential evaluation of China's energy resources development显示文摘The issue of China's energy supply security is not only the key problem which affects China's rapid and sustainable development in the 21st century,but also the one which international attention focuses on.Based on the notable characteristic of spatial imbalance between energy production and consumption in China,this paper takes the evolution of China's primary energy resources development(excluding hydropower) from 1949 to 2007 as the study object,with the aim to sum up the evolutive characteristics and laws of China's energy resources development in the past nearly 60 years.Then,based on comprehensive considerations of coal's,oil's and natural gas's basic reserves,qualities,geological conditions,production status,and ecological service function of every province,this paper adopts development potential index(DP)to evaluate the development potential of every province's energy resources,and divide them into different ranks.Conclusions are drawn as follows:(1) Generally speaking,China's gross energy production was increasing in waves from 1949 to 2007.From the viewpoint of spatial patterns,China's energy resources development has shown a characteristic of 'concentrating to the north and central areas,and evolving from linear-shaped to 'T-shaped' pattern gradually since 1949.(2) The structure evolution of China's energy resources development in general has shown a trend of 'coal proportion is dominant but decreasing,while oil and gas proportions are increasing' since 1949.(3) At the provincial scale,China's energy resources development potential could be divided into large,sub-large,general and small ranks,four in all.In the future,the spatial pattern of China's energy production will evolve from 'T-shaped' to '∏-shaped pattern'.These conclusions will help to clarify the temporal and spatial characteristics and laws of China's energy resources development,and will be beneficial for China to design scientific and rational energy development strategies and plans,coordinate spatial imbalance of energy production and consumption,ensure national energy supply,avoid energy resources waste and disorderly development,and promote regional sustainable development under the globalization background with changeful international energy market.MA Beibei LU Chunxia ZHANG Lei CHENG Xiaoling 2010Journal of Geographical Sciences2010,20,3:8
3Detection of geosmin and 2-methylisoborneol by liquid-liquid extraction-gas chromatograph mass spectrum (LLE-GCMS) and solid phase extraction-gas chromatograph mass spectrum (SPE-GCMS)显示文摘Two sample preparation methods were introduced and compared in this paper to establish a simple,quick and exact analysis of geosmin and 2-methylisoborneol.LC-18 column was employed in solid phase extraction(SPE),1.0 mL of hexane was adopted in liquid-liquid extraction(LLE),and the extracts were analyzed by gas chromatograph mass spectrum(GCMS)in selected ion mode.Mean recoveries of SPE were low for 2-methylisoborneol(2-MIB)and geosmin(GSM)with values below 50%.For LLE,the recoveries were satisfyingly above 50%for 2-MIB and 80%for GSM.Detection limits of the LLE method were as low as 1.0 ng/L for GSM and 5.0 ng/L for 2-MIB.A year-long investigation on odor chemicals of drinking water in Shanghai demonstrated that in the summer,there was a serious odor problem induced by a high concentration of 2-MIB.The highest concentration of 152.82 ng/L appeared in July in raw water,while GSM flocculation was minimal with concentrations below odor threshold.MA Xiaoyan GAO Naiyun CHEN Beibei LI Qingsong ZHANG Qiaoli GU Guofen 2007Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2007,1,3:7
4sLe^(x) expression in invasive micropapillary breast carcinoma is associated with poor prognosis and can be combined with MUC1/EMA as a supplementary diagnostic indicator显示文摘Objective: Mucin 1(MUC1/EMA) and sialyl Lewis X(sLe^(x)) indicate polarity reversal in invasive micropapillary carcinoma(IMPC). The purpose of this study was to evaluate the expression of MUC1/EMA and sLe^(x) and to assess their diagnostic and prognostic value in patients with IMPC.Methods: The expression of sLe^(x) and MUC1/EMA in 100 patients with IMPC and a control group of 89 patients with invasive ductal carcinoma not otherwise specified(IDC-NOS) were analyzed with IHC. Fresh tumor tissues were collected from patients with IMPC or IDC-NOS for primary culture and immunofluorescence analysis.Results: The rate of nodal metastasis was higher in patients with IMPC than those with IDC-NOS, and IMPC cells tended to express more sLe^(x) and MUC1/EMA in the cytomembranes(the stroma-facing surfaces of the micropapillary clusters) than IDC-NOS cells. In IMPC, high cytomembrane expression of sLe^(x), but not MUC1/EMA, indicated poor prognosis. In addition, among the 100 patients with IMPC, 10 patients had sLe^(x)+/EMA-expression patterns, and 8 patients had sLe^(x)-/EMA+ expression patterns. The primary IMPC cells were suspended, non-adherent tumor cell clusters, whereas the primary IDC cells were adherent tumor cells. 5Plasmonic biosensors and nanoprobes based on gold nanoshells显示文摘Gold nanoshells (GNSs), consisting of a dielectric core coated with gold, have gained extensive attention as they show readily tunable optical properties and good biocompatibility. As highly sensitive and label-free optical biosensors with wide applications, GNSs have been investigated in many fields including drug delivery, immunoassay, cancer treatment, biological sensing and imaging. Taking advantage of the adjustability of the local surface plasmon resonance (LSPR) and the sensitivity of the surfaceenhanced Raman scattering (SERS) signal of GNSs, we have developed diverse applications including plasmonic biosensors and nanoprobes based on GNSs. In this review we introduce plasmonic and electromagnetic properties and fabrication methods of GNSs. We describe research progress in recent years, and highlight several applications of GNSs developed by our group. 6Unraveling a genetic roadmap for improved taste in the domesticated apple显示文摘Although taste is an important aspect of fruit quality, an understanding of its genetic control remains elusive in apple and other fruit crops. In this study, we conducted genomic sequence analysis of 497 Malus accessions and revealed erosion of genetic diversity caused by apple breeding and possible independent domestication events of dessert and cider apples. Signatures of selection for fruit acidity and size, but not for fruit sugar content, were detected during the processes of both domestication and improvement. Furthermore, we found that single mutations in major genes affecting fruit taste, including Ma1, MdTDT, and MdSOT2, dramatically decrease malate, citrate, and sorbitol accumulation, respectively, and correspond to important domestication events. Interestingly, Ma1 was identified to have pleiotropic effects on both organic acid content and sugar:acid ratio, suggesting that it plays a vital role in determining fruit taste. Fruit taste is unlikely to have been negatively affected by linkage drag associated with selection for larger fruit that resulted from the pyramiding of multiple genes with minor effects on fruit size. 7Sulfonated carbon catalyzed oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids by hydrogen peroxide显示文摘Sulfonated carbon as a strong and stable solid acid catalyst exhibited excellent catalytic performance in various acid-catalyzed reactions. Here, sulfonated carbon, as catalyst for oxidation reaction, was prepared via the carbonization of starch followed by sulfonation with concentrated sulfuric acid. N2 physisorption, X-ray diffraction, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, X-ray fluorescence and acid-base titration were used to characterize the obtained materials. The catalytic activity of sulfonated carbon was studied in the oxidation of aldehydes to carboxylic acids using 30 wt% H2O2 as oxidant. This oxidation protocol works well for various aldehydes including aromatic and aliphatic aldehydes. 9The evolution of microstructure and texture of AZ80 Mg alloy cup-shaped pieces processed by rotating backward extrusion显示文摘This study proposed an effective plastic deformation technique,rotating backward extrusion(RBE),for producing high performance AZ80 magnesium alloy cup-shaped pieces.The RBE process was carried on the Gleeble-3500 test machine at 653 K,and the conventional backward extrusion(CBE)was also conducted for comparison.A detailed microstructure analysis was performed using the optical microscopy(OM)and electron back-scatter diffraction(EBSD).The results shown that the equivalent strain and deformation uniformity of the cup pieces could be substantially increased by the RBE process compared with the CBE process.Furthermore,the RBE process could significantly improve the grain refining capacity and the proportion of dynamic recrystallization(DRX),of which the maximum reduction of grain size was 88.60%,and the maximum increase of DRX proportion was 55.30%in the cup bottom.The main deformation mechanism of the RBE process was the discontinuous DRX(DDRX),while the continuous DRX(CDRX)was also occurred in the cup transition.Compared with the CBE sample,the texture of the cup bottom was weakened for the RBE sample.The microhardness value of the RBE sample was higher than that of the CBE sample,which can be attributed to the grain refinement strengthening.Xin Che Qiang Wang Beibei Dong Mu Meng Zhi Gao Kai Liu Jin Ma Fulai Yang Zhiming Zhang 2021Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2021,9,5:4

11Microstructure and mechanical property evolution of friction stir welded(B4C+Al2O3)/Al composites designed for neutron absorbing materials显示文摘(B4C+Al2O3)/Al composite designed for the dry storage of spent nuclear fuels was fabricated and then subjected to friction stir welding, at a welding speed of 100 mm/min and rotation rates of 400–800 r/min. Sound joints were obtained under all welding parameters;however, significant softening occurred in the nugget zone(NZ) for all the joints. Therefore, all the joints exhibited significantly decreased strength at both room temperature and high temperature compared with the base metal, with the joints fracturing in the NZs. Rotation rate exhibited no obvious effect on the tensile strength of the joints, but led to increased elongation as the result of the broadened NZs. The detailed microstructural examinations indicated that the welding thermomechanical effect broke up the near 3D amorphous Al2O3 netlike structure distributed at the Al grain boundaries, caused the coarsening of Al grains, and the agglomeration and crystallization of amorphous Al2O3, thereby resulting in the softening of the NZs and the reduction in the joint strength. 12The harmonious relationship between land use and environment in Xi’an显示文摘In this paper we adopt annual land use conditions change data, land sifting data, social, economic and population data and environment information of nine districts and four counties in Xi’an city from 1980 to 2000 to analyze its structural and degree change of land use since the 1980s, and calculate the benefits and transformation of land use type. The results show that the non-agricultural land increased rapidly, especially the urban and rural residential spots and industrial and mining (RIM) land use increased mostly rapidly, an increase of 64%. Meanwhile, the intensity of land exploitation was accelerating, land was transformed to industries with better benefit and areas experiencing faster urbanization process. By analyzing the harmonious degree of land exploitation in economic and environmental aspects, we find out that the land use imbalance mainly existed in the municipal area of Xi’an, and the imbalance index of land use based on GDP and non-agricultural population were respectively 12.37 and 14.67 in 2000, which were far higher than those in other regions. Nevertheless the environmental harmonious degree in the municipal area of Xi’an ranges between 0.6 and 0.8, which was better than that of suburban area. 13High performance liquid chromatographic separation of eight drugs collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010 on amylose ramification chiral stationary phase显示文摘The enantiomers separation of ei ght pharmaceutical racemates collected in Chinese Pharmacopoeia 2010(Ch.P2010),including nitrendipine,felodipine,omeprazole,praziquantel,sulpiride,clenbuterol hydrochloride,verapamil hydrochloride and chlorphenamine maleate,was performed on chiral stationary phase of amylose ramification by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)on Chiralpak AD-H column and Chiralpak AS-H column with the mobile phase consisted of isopropanol and n-hexane.The detection wavelength and the flow rate were set at 254 nm and 0.7 mL/min,respectively.The effects of proportion of organic additives,alcohol displacer and temperature on the separation were investigated.The results indicated that eight chiral drugs were separated on chiral stationary phase of amylase ramification in normal phase chroma tographic system.The chromatographic retention and resolution of enantiomers were adjusted by factors,including the changes of the concentration of alcohol displacer in mobile phase,organic alkaline modifier and column temperature.It was shown that the resolution was improved with reducing concentration of alcohol displacer.When the concentration of organic alkaline modifier was 0.2%,the resolution and the peak shape were fairly good.Most racemates mentioned above had the best resolution at column temperature of 25℃.The best temperature should be kept unchanged in the process of separation so as to obtain stable separation results.Yan Wang Ying Zhou Chao Ma Beibei Yang Ru Feng Yiying Zhang Jie Fu Wenjing Chen Yupeng Sun Jingyi Ma Qiming Zhang Yulin Deng Yukui Zhang Wenyi He 2012Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2012,2,5:3

16Proteomic Analysis of High Temperature Stress-Responsive Proteins in Chrysanthemum Leaves显示文摘Chrysanthemum is one of the most important ornamental flowers in the world,and temperature has a significant influence on its field production.In the present study,differentially expressed proteins were investigated in the leaves of Dendranthema grandiflorum‘Jinba’under high temperature stress using label-free quantitative proteomics techniques.The expressed proteins were comparatively identified and analyzed.A total of 1,463 heat-related,differentially expressed proteins were successfully identified by Liquid Chromatography-tandem Mass Spectrometry(LC-MS/MS),and 1,463 heat-related,differentially expressed proteins were successfully identified by mass spectrometry after a high temperature treatment.Among these,701 proteins were upregulated and 762 proteins were downregulated.The in-depth bioinformatics analysis of these differentially expressed proteins revealed that these were involved in energy metabolism pathways,protein metabolism,and heat shock.In the present study,the investigators determined the changes in the levels of some proteins,and their expression at the protein and molecular levels in chrysanthemum to help reveal the mechanism of heat resistance in chrysanthemum.Furthermore,the present study elucidated some of the proteins correlated to heat resistance in chrysanthemum,and their expression changes at the protein and molecular levels to help reveal the mechanism of heat resistance in this flower species.These results provide a theoretical basis for the selection of new heat resistant varieties of chrysanthemum in the field.Xin Li Feiya Liao Qiqi Ma Beibei Jiang Yuanzhi Pan Cheng Luo Xinjie Wang Aining Ran 2021Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2021,90,5:1

20Hierarchical N-Doped Porous Carbons for Zn–Air Batteries and Supercapacitors显示文摘Nitrogen-doped carbon materials with a large specific surface area,high conductivity,and adjustable microstructures have many prospects for energy-related applications.This is especially true for N-doped nanocarbons used in the electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)and supercapacitors.Here,we report a low-cost,environmentally friendly,large-scale mechanochemical method of preparing N-doped porous carbons(NPCs)with hierarchical micro-mesopores and a large surface area via ball-milling polymerization followed by pyrolysis.The optimized NPC prepared at 1000°C(NPC-1000)offers excellent ORR activity with an onset potential(Eonset)and half-wave potential(E1/2)of 0.9 and 0.82 V,respectively(vs.a reversible hydrogen electrode),which are only approximately 30 mV lower than that of Pt/C.The rechargeable Zn–air battery assembled using NPC-1000 and the NiFe-layered double hydroxide as bifunctional ORR and oxygen evolution reaction electrodes offered superior cycling stability and comparable discharge performance to RuO2 and Pt/C.Moreover,the supercapacitor electrode equipped with NPC prepared at 800℃ exhibited a high specific capacity(431 F g^−1 at 10 mV s^−1),outstanding rate,performance,and excellent cycling stability in an aqueous 6-M KOH solution.This work demonstrates the potential of the mechanochemical preparation method of porous carbons,which are important for energy conversion and storage.Beibei Guo Ruguang Ma Zichuang Li Shaokui Guo Jun Luo Minghui Yang Qian Liu Tiju Thomas Jiacheng Wang 2020Nano-Micro Letters2020,12,2:1
