1Parameterizing soil organic carbon's impacts on soil porosity and thermal parameters for Eastern Tibet grasslands显示文摘This study investigates the stratification of soil thermal properties induced by soil organic carbon (SOC) and its impacts on the parameterization of the thermal properties. Soil parameters were measured for alpine grassland stations and North China flux stations, with a total of 34 stations and 77 soil profiles. Measured data indicate that the topsoils of alpine grasslands contain high SOC contents than underlying soil layers, which leads to higher soil porosity values and lower thermal conductivity and bulk density values in the topsoils. However, this stratification is not evident at the lowland stations due to low SOC contents. Evaluations against measured data show that three thermal conductivity schemes used in land surface models severely overestimate the values for soils with high SOC content (i.e. topsoils of alpine grassland), but they are better for soils with low SOC content. A new parameterization is then developed to take the impacts of SOC into account. The new one can well estimate the soil thermal conductivity values in both low and high SOC content cases, and therefore, it is a potential candidate of thermal conductivity scheme to be used in land surface models.CHEN YingYing YANG Kun TANG WenJun QIN Jun ZHAO Long 2012Science China Earth Sciences2012,55,6:31

4Effect of chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) additive on phenothiazine dyes sensitized photovoltaic performance显示文摘The effects of chenodeoxycholic acid (CDCA) in a dye solution as a co-adsorbent on the photovoltaic performance of dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs) based on two organic dyes containing phenothiazine and triarylamine segments (P1 and P2) were investigated.It was found that the coadsorption of CDCA can hinder the formation of dye aggregates and improve electron injection yield and thus Jsc.This has also led to a rise in photovoltage,which is attributed to the decrease of charge recombination.The DSSC based on dye P2 showed better photovoltaic performance than P1:a maximum monochromatic incident photon-to-current conversion efficiency (IPCE) of 89.5%,a short-circuit photocurrent density (Jsc) of 9.57 mA/cm2,an open-circuit photovoltage (Voc) of 697 mV,and a fill factor (FF) of 0.66,corresponding to an overall conversion efficiency of 4.42% under the standard global AM 1.5 solar light condition.The overall conversion efficiency was further improved to 5.31% (Jsc=10.36 mA/cm2,Voc=0.730 V,FF=0.70) upon addition of 10 mM CDCA to the dye solution for TiO2 sensitization.Electrochemical impedance data indicate that the electron lifetime was improved by coadsorption of CDCA,accounting for the significant improvement of Voc.These results suggest that interfacial engineering of the organic dye-sensitized TiO2 electrodes is important for highly efficient photovoltaic performance of the solar cell.LI Jing,WU WenJun,YANG JiaBao,TANG Jin,LONG YiTao & HUA JianLi Key Laboratory for Advanced Materials and Institute of Fine Chemicals East China University of Science & Technology,Shanghai 200237,China 2011Science China Chemistry2011,54,4:3
5Controlling factors of Dengying Formation reservoirs in the central Sichuan paleo-uplift显示文摘Macroscopic and microscopic characteristics revealed that the Dengying Formation reservoir in the central Sichuan paleo-uplift belonged to the compound genetic reservoir of the mound-shoal facies and karst.Development of the reservoir was controlled by the mound-shoal facies,and dissolution-enlarged or added pores(vugs)due to superimposed karstification modification were favorable reservoir spaces.The karst of the Dengying Formation in Tongwan stage was the stratabound-weathered crust karst of the early diagenesis stage,the extensive superimposition of mound-shoal facies and regional karstification in the central Sichuan paleo-uplift area was the key to develop the large-scale continuous Dengying Formation reservoirs.Due to differences in the development degree of mound-shoal facies and in the intensity of karst modification,the reservoir development degree varied in different zones in the paleouplift area.The NS-extending zone on the western side of the Gaoshiti-Moxi area was the sweet spot for reservoir development.Effective identification of mound-shoal facies and fine depiction of karst landform was the key for reservoir prediction of the Dengying Formation to discovery the superimposed area of the mound-shoal facies and the karst monadnock-karst steep slope which similar to Moxi-Gaoshiti area.Bing Luo Yaoming Yang Wenjun Luo Long Wen Wenzhi Wang Kang Chen 2017Petroleum Research2017,2,1:3

7A policy gradient algorithm integrating long and short-term rewards for soft continuum arm control显示文摘The soft continuum arm has extensive application in industrial production and human life due to its superior safety and flexibility. Reinforcement learning is a powerful technique for solving soft arm continuous control problems, which can learn an effective control policy with an unknown system model. However, it is often affected by the high sample complexity and requires huge amounts of data to train, which limits its effectiveness in soft arm control. An improved policy gradient method, policy gradient integrating long and short-term rewards denoted as PGLS, is proposed in this paper to overcome this issue. The shortterm rewards provide more dynamic-aware exploration directions for policy learning and improve the exploration efficiency of the algorithm. PGLS can be integrated into current policy gradient algorithms, such as deep deterministic policy gradient(DDPG). The overall control framework is realized and demonstrated in a dynamics simulation environment. Simulation results show that this approach can effectively control the soft arm to reach and track the targets. Compared with DDPG and other model-free reinforcement learning algorithms, the proposed PGLS algorithm has a great improvement in convergence speed and performance. 16Migration and risks of potentially toxic elements from sewage sludge applied to acid forest soil显示文摘`The application of sewage sludge(SS)to forested lands may lead to the downward migration of potentially toxic elements(PTEs)through rainfall and thus pose risk to the subsoil and groundwater.Batch column experiments were conducted using leaching water equivalent to the rainfall amount in the study area over 3 years to investigate changes in concentrations of PTEs,including copper(Cu),zinc(Zn),lead(Pb),cadmium(Cd),and nickel(Ni)in the leachate from the acidic forest soil.Water quality index of leachate,potential ecological risk and human health risk in soil at different leaching stages were compared.Sewage sludge was applied at SS/soil mass ratios of 0:100(controls),15:85(T1),30:70(T2),45:55(T3),60:40(T4),and 75:25(T5).All treatments resulted in increased PTEs concentration in the upper 20 cm soil,T3-T5 increased potential ecological risk from'low'(control)to'moderate'or'considerable'.During first year leaching,PTEs concentration increased with increasing SS/soil ratios,but the water quality index of T1-T3 was'excellent'or'good'.Pb,Cu,Cd,and Ni in the 20-40 cm soil depth,and Zn in the 60-80 cm soil depth were also enriched,but potential ecological risk was'low'.In subsequent leaching,PTEs concentration of leachate gradually returned to the background value and water quality index was'excellent'.There were no significant changes in PTEs and ecological risk observed.During the monitoring process,the health risk caused by the migration of PTEs to the human body was always within the acceptable range.Overall,this study provides a reference for the management of risks from the application of SS on forestlands,i.e.,SS/soil ratios<45:55 is recommended on forestlands,and special attention should be given to early leaching risk.In addition,it also provides an important assessment method for the risk of PTEs leaching and migration in forested land application.Shuangshuang Chu Lihua Xian Can Lai Wenjun Yang Jing Wang Mandi Long Jianhui Ouyang Dandan Liao Shucai Zeng 2023Journal of Forestry Research2023,34,6:0
17One dimensional nickel phosphide polymorphic heterostructure as carbon-free functional support loading single-atom iridium for promoted electrocatalytic water oxidation显示文摘Although conducting materials such as carbon nanotube and carbon fiber paper(CFP)have been extensively employed as support of electrocatalytic active sites,most of them are of poor catalytic functionality by themselves and undesirable stability during strong acid/alkaline environments or oxidation process.Here we report a novel one-dimensional(1D)nickel phosphide polymorphic heterostructure(denoted as NPPH)to work as one effective carbon-free functional support for loading of single-atom Ir water oxidation electrocatalyst.Specifically,the NPPH composed of both Ni12P5and Ni2P phases is not only active for robust alkaline water oxidation but also is of good stability and hydrophilicity for favorable loading of single-atom dispersed iridium.The NPPH supported single-atom Ir electrocatalyst(Ir/NPPH)is found to exhibit remarkably superior water oxidation activity with respect to the NPPH itself or CFP supported single-atom Ir catalyst(Ir/CFP),demonstrating the synergetic promotion effect between NPPH and single-atom Ir catalyst.Furthermore,the NPPH supported single-atom Ir catalyst can bear alkaline water oxidation for over 120 h at current density of 50 mA cm^(-2).The NPPH developed here is expected as functional support to composite with other water oxidation catalysts,as may be an alternative strategy of developing highly efficient carbon-free electrocatalysts.Rashid Mehmood Guifa Long Wenjun Fan Mingrun Li Lifang Liu Fuxiang Zhang 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,4:0
18Clinical efficacy of low-dose emetine for patients with COVID-19:a real-world study显示文摘Objective:Emetine,an isoquinoline alkaloid that is enriched at high concentrations in the lung,has shown potent in vitro activity against severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2).The aim of this study was to better understand the effectiveness of low-dose emetine for patients with coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19).Methods:In this real-world study,63 patients with mild or common COVID-19 were recruited from Wuhan Fangcang Shelter Hospital and five COVID-19-designated hospitals in Anhui Province,China from February to March 2020.Thirty-nine patients from Wuhan Fangcang Shelter Hospital were assigned to a pragmatic randomized controlled clinical trial,and 24 patients from the 5 COVID-19-designated hospitals in Anhui Province underwent a real-world study.The medication course of emetine was less than 10 days.The main symptoms and adverse reactions of all patients were observed and recorded.The primary outcome measure was the time required for a negative SARS-CoV-2 RNA result or the negative result rate on day 10.Secondary outcomes included axillary temperature,transcutaneous oxygen saturation,and respiratory frequency recovery.The study was approved by the Ethics Committee of The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui Medical University on February 20,2019(approval No.PJ2020-03-19)and was registered with the Chinese Clinical Trial Registry on February 20,2019(registration number:ChiCTR2000030022).Results:The oxygen saturation values were higher in the treatment group than in the control group on the first day after enrollment for patients treated at Fangcang Shelter Hospital.The axillary body temperature,respiratory rate,and oxygen saturation among patients in Fangcang Shelter Hospital were related to the time effect but not to the intervention measures.The respiratory rate and oxygen saturation of patients in the Anhui designated hospitals were related to the intervention measures but not to the time effect.The axillary body temperature of patients in Anhui designated hospitals was related to the time effect but not to the intervention measures.Conclusion:Our preliminary study shows that low-dose emetine combined with basic conventional antiviral drugs improves clinical symptoms in patients with mild and common COVID-19 without apparent adverse effects,suggesting that moderately increased doses of emetine may have good potential for treatment and prevention of COVID-19.Song Fan Qi Zhen Cheng Chen Wenjun Wang Qibing Wu Huihui Ma Chengyuan Zhang Li Zhang Baojing Lu Huiyao Ge Liang Yong Bao Li Yafen Yu Weiwei Chen Yiwen Mao Guangbo Qu Li Su Aoli Wang Zhen Ding Haiwen Li Jin Zhang Yonglian Wang Yufeng Gao Xihai Xu Zhongming Zhu Jun Chen Long Zhang Hongqiang Liang Song Wu Meng Huang Quan Xia Ping Li Yehuan Sun Chaozhao Liang Wei Wei Qingsong Liu Liangdan Sun 2021Journal of Bio-X Research2021,4,2:0

20Theory and Model of Agricultural Insurance Subsidy显示文摘The issue of agricultural insurance subsidy is discussed in this paper aiming to make it provided more rationally and sci- entifically. It is started with the connection between agricultural insurance and financial subsidy. It is really necessary and crucial to implement the financial insurance due to the bad operational performance, especially in the developing countries. But the sub- sidy should be provided more rationally because financial subsidy has lots of negative effects. A model in competitive insurance markets developed by Ahsan et al (1982) and a farmers' decision model are developed to solve the optimal subsidized rate. Finally, the equation is got to calculate it. But a quantitative subsidized rate is not made here because the calculation should be under some restricted conditions, which are always absent in the devel- oping countries.
