1Outline of the Report on Cardiovascular Disease in China,2010显示文摘Major and profound changes have taken place in China over the past 30 years.Rapid socioeconomic progress has exerted a great impact on lifestyle,ranging from food,clothing,working and living conditions,and means of transportation to leisure activities and entertainment.At the same time,new health problems have emerged,and health services are facing new challenges.Presently,cardiovascular diseases (CVD) are among the top health problems of the Chinese people,and pose a serious challenge to all engaged in the prevention and control of these diseases.An epidemic of CVD in China is emerging as a result of lifestyle changes,urbanization and longevity.Both national policy decision-making and medical practice urgently need an authoritative report which comprehensively reflects the trends in the epidemic of CVD and current preventive measures.Since 2005,guided by the Bureau of Disease Prevention of the Ministry of Health of the People's Republic of China and the National Center for Cardiovascular Diseases of China,nationwide experts in the fields of epidemiology,clinical medicine and health economics in the realms of CVD,cerebrovascular disease,diabetes and chronic kidney disease,completed the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China every year.The report aims to provide a timely review of the trend of the epidemic and to assess the progress of prevention and control of CVD.In addition,as the report is authoritative,representative and readable,it will become an information platform in the CVD field and an important reference book for government,academic institutes,medical organizations and clinical physicians.This publication is expected to play a positive role in the prevention and control of CVD in China.We present an abstract from the Report on Cardiovascular Diseases in China (2010),including trends in CVD,morbidity and mortality of major CVDs,up-to-date assessment of risk factors,as well as health resources for CVD,and a profile of medical expenditure,with the aim of providing evidence for decision-making in CVD prevention and control programs in China,and of delivering the most authoritative information on CVD prevention and control for all citizens.HUSheng Shou KONG Ling Zhi GAO Run Lin ZHU Man Lu WANG Wen WANG Yong Jun WU Zhao Su CHEN Wei Wei LIU Ming Bo For the editorial board 2012Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2012,25,3:93

3Trends of Extreme Precipitation in Eastern China and Their Possible Causes显示文摘Significant increases of heavy precipitation and decreases of light precipitation have been reported over widespread regions of the globe. Global warming and effects of anthropogenic aerosols have both been proposed as possible causes of these changes. We examine data from urban and rural meteorological stations in eastern China(1955–2011) and compare them with Global Precipitation Climatology Project(GPCP) data(1979–2007) and reanalysis data in various latitude zones to study changes in precipitation extremes. Significant decreases in light precipitation and increases in heavy precipitation are found at both rural and urban stations, as well as low latitudes over the ocean, while total precipitation shows little change.Characteristics of these changes and changes in the equatorial zone and other latitudes suggest that global warming rather than aerosol effects is the primary cause of the changes. In eastern China, increases of annual total dry days(28 days) and 10 consecutive dry days(36%) are due to the decrease in light precipitation days, thereby establishing a causal link among global warming, changes in precipitation extremes, and higher meteorological risk of floods and droughts. 4Supramolecular precursor strategy for the synthesis of holey graphitic carbon nitride nanotubes with enhanced photocatalytic hydrogen evolution performance显示文摘A simple one-step thermal polymerization method was developed for synthesis of holey graphitic carbon nitride nanotubes,involving direci eating of mixtures of melamine and urea or melamine and cyanuric acid in specific mass ratios.Supramolecular structures formed betweer the precursor molecules guided nanotube formation.The porous and nanotubular structure of the nanotubes facilitated efficient charge carrier nigration and separation,thereby enhancing photocatalytic Hz production in 20 vol.%lactic acid under visible light irradiation.Nanotubes synthesized using melamine and urea in a 1:10 mass ratio(denoted herein as CN-MU nanotubes)exhibited a photocatalytic hydroger production rate of 1,073.6μmol·h^-1·^-g with Pt as the cocatalyst,a rate of 4.7 and 3.1 times higher than traditional Pt/g-CN4 photocatalysts prepared from graphitic carbon nitride(g-CN4)obtained by direct thermal polymerization of melamine or urea,respectively.On the basis of their outstanding performance for photocatalytic H2 production,it is envisaged that the holey g-C3N4 nanotubes will find widespread uptake in other areas,including photocatalytic CO2 reduction,dye-sensitized solar cells and photoelectrochemical sensors.Xiaoshuai Wang Chao Zhou Run Shi Qinqin Liu Geoffrey I. 5Multiple cytokine profiling in serum for early detection of gastric cancer显示文摘AIM To investigate the value of multiparameter joint analysis in the early diagnosis of gastric cancer(GC) in clinical practice.METHODS Concentrations of CEA, CA724 and three kinds of cytokines(TNF-α, IL-6 and IL-8) in 176 GC patients, 117 atypical hyperplasia patients, and 204 healthy control individuals were used for building the diagnostic model, then 58 GC patients, 41 atypical hyperplasia patients, and 66 healthy control individuals were enrolled independently. The joints of the indicators were analyzed by binary logistic regression analysis method.RESULTS For discriminating the healthy control group and the GC group, IL-6 had the best diagnostic value, and the area under curve(AUC) of joint analysis was 0.95(0.93-0.97). For the early stage and advanced stage GC, the AUC were 0.95(0.92-0.98) and 0.95(0.92-0.97). For discriminating the atypical hyperplasia group and GC group, CA724 had the best diagnostic value, and the AUC of joint analysis was 0.97(0.95-0.99). For the early stage and advanced stage GC groups, the AUC were 0.98(0.96-0.99) and 0.96(0.94-0.98). After evaluation, for discriminating the GC, early stage GC and advanced cancer group from the healthy control group, the diagnostic sensitivity was 89.66%, 84.21% and 92.31%, respectively, and the specificity was 92.42%, 90.91% and 90.91%. For discriminating the GC, early stage GC and advanced cancer groups from the atypical hyperplasia group, the diagnostic sensitivity was 87.93%, 78.95% and 92.31%, respectively, and the specificity was 87.80%, 85.37% and 90.24%.CONCLUSION We have built a diagnostic model including CEA, CA724, IL-6, IL-8, and TNF-α. 6Screening and degrading characteristics and community structure of a high molecular weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon-degrading bacterial consortium from contaminated soil显示文摘Inoculation with effcient microbes had been proved to be the most important way for the bioremediation of polluted environments. For the treatment of abandoned site of Beijing Coking Chemical Plant contaminated with high level of high-molecular-weight polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(HMW-PAHs) ,a bacterial consortium capable of degrading HMW-PAHs,designated 1-18-1,was enriched and screened from HMW-PAHs contaminated soil.Its degrading ability was analyzed by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC) ,and the community structure was investigated by construction and analyses of the 16S rRNA gene clone libraries(A,B and F) at different transfers.The results indicated that 1-18-1 was able to utilize pyrene,fluoranthene and benzoapyrene as sole carbon and energy source for growth.The degradation rate of pyrene and fluoranthene reached 82.8%and 96.2%after incubation for 8 days at 30°C,respectively;while the degradation rate of benzoapyrene was only 65.1%after incubation for 28 days at 30°C. Totally,108,100 and 100 valid clones were randomly selected and sequenced from the libraries A,B,and F.Phylogenetic analyses showed that all the clones could be divided into 5 groups,Bacteroidetes,α-Proteobacteria,Actinobacteria,β-Proteobacteria andγ-Proteobacteria.Sequence similarity analyses showed total 39 operational taxonomic units(OTUs) in the libraries.The predominant bacterial groups wereα-Proteobacteria(19 OTUs,48.7%) ,γ-Proteobacteria(9 OTUs,23.1%) andβ-Proteobacteria(8 OTUs,20.5%) . 9An observation-based perspective of winter haze days in four major polluted regions of China显示文摘An observation-based approach is used to examine key characteristics of winter haze days in four major polluted regions in China.Major findings in this study are:first,there was no significant trend in the number of winter haze days in most provinces and districts in eastern China from 1973 to 2012,contrary to the 2.5-fold increase in the emissions of particulate matter and its precursors(PM emissions)in the same period of time.Second,meteorological and climate conditions rather than PM emissions are in control of the interannual variabilities and trends of winter haze days.These interannual variabilities(ranging from 24 to 125%)pose a substantial masking effect that must be overcome by any control of PM emissions before its impact becomes statistically detectable.Finally,we find that global warming may have contributed significantly to the trend of winter haze days in eastern China.Lu Mao Run Liu Wenhui Liao Xuemei Wang Min Shao Shaw Chen Liu Yuanhang Zhang 2019National Science Review2019,6,3:7

12Two-dimensional Sn2Ta2O7 nanosheets as efficient visible lightdriven photocatalysts for hydrogen evolution显示文摘Two-dimensional Sn2Ta2O7 nanosheets with a thickness of^10 nm were successfully prepared through a novel tantalic acid-based solid-state reaction method at reduced temperature.The as-obtained samples were characterized by powder X-ray diffraction(XRD),ultraviolet–visible(UV–Vis)diffuse reflectance spectra,scanning electron microscopy(SEM),transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller(BET)analysis.The photocatalytic performance of Sn2 Ta2 O7 nanosheets was evaluated by photocatalytic water splitting for hydrogen evolution under visible light irradiation(k C 400 nm).The Sn2Ta2O7 nanosheets with a large surface area of 25.9 m^2·g^-1 showed higher H2 production activity,which was about 4.4 times higher than that of bulk Sn2 Ta2O7 in lactic acid aqueous solutions using Pt as a cocatalyst.The improved photocatalytic performance mainly benefited from the nanosheet structure,which provided abundant surface active sites and facilitated the photogenerated charge carrier separation efficiently.This workmay open up new opportunity to develop novel nanostructured tantalum-based semiconductors with improved catalytic performance for solar energy conversion.Xiao-Shuai Wang Chao Zhou Run Shi Qin-Qin Liu Tie-Rui Zhang 2019Rare Metals2019,38,5:6
13New research trends on high-precision time transfer technology显示文摘High-precision time transfer plays an important role in the areas of fundamental research and applications. Accompanying w ith the remarkable improvements in the ability of generating and measuring high-accuracy time-frequency signal,seeking for new time-transfer techniques betw een distant clocks w ith much further improved accuracy attracts attentions w orld-w idely. The time-transfer technique based on optical pulses has the highest precision presently,and the further improvement in the accuracy is heavily dependent on the time-domain properties of the pulse as w ell as the sensitivity of the applied measurement on the exchanged pulse. The application of optical frequency comb in time transfer for a precision up to femtosecond level are currently the focus of much interest,and has recently achieved many breakthroughs. Further investigations show that,utilizing quantum techniques,i.e. quantum measurement technique and quantum optical pulse source,can lead to a new limit on the measured timing information. Furthermore,it can be immune from atmospheric parameters,such as pressure,temperature,humidity and so on.Such quantum improvements on time-transfer have a bright prospect in the future applications requiring extremely high-accuracy timing and ranging. 16Dominant Synoptic Patterns and Their Relationships with PM2.5 Pollution in Winter over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei and Yangtze River Delta Regions in China显示文摘This paper concerns about the episodes of PM2.5 pollution that frequently occur in China in winter months.The severity of PM2.5 pollution is strongly dependent on the synoptic-scale atmospheric conditions.We combined PM2.5 concentration data and meteorological data with the Hybrid Single Particle Lagrangian Integrated Trajectory model(HYSPLIT4)to investigate the dominant synoptic patterns and their relationships with PM2.5 pollution over the Beijing–Tianjin–Hebei(BTH)and Yangtze River Delta(YRD)regions in the winters of 2014–17.The transport of PM2.5 from the BTH to YRD regions was examined by using cluster analysis and HYSPLIT4.It is found that the level of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region was higher than that over the YRD region.The concentration of PM2.5 in the atmosphere was more closely related to meteorological factors over the BTH region.The episodes of PM2.5 pollution over the BTH region in winter were related to weather patterns such as the rear of a high-pressure system approaching the sea,a high-pressure field,a saddle pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front.By contrast,PM2.5 pollution episodes in the YRD region in winter were mainly associated with the external transport of cold air,a high-pressure field,and a uniform pressure field.Cluster analysis shows that the trajectories of PM2.5 were significantly different under different weather patterns.PM2.5 would be transported from the BTH to the YRD within 48 h when the PM2.5 pollution episodes were associated with three different kinds of weather patterns:the rear of a highpressure system approaching the sea,the high-pressure field,and the leading edge of a cold front over the BTH region.This suggests a possible method to predict PM2.5 pollution episodes based on synoptic-scale patterns.Yuzhi LIU Bing WANG Qingzhe ZHU Run LUO Chuqiao WU Rui JIA 2019Journal of Meteorological Research2019,33,4:5

18Relationship Between Coleoptile Length and Drought Resistance and Their QTL Mapping in Rice显示文摘By using a set of recombinant inbred line(RIL)population involving in 195 lines derived from a cross of Zhenshan 97B (lowland variety)and IRAT109(upland variety),the correlation analysis between coleoptile length(CL)and drought resistance index (DRI)and their QTL identification were conducted.There existed a significantly positive relationship between CL and DRI with the correlation coefficient of 0.2206**under water stress conditions.Under normal and water stress conditions,a total of eleven and four QTLs for CL and DRI,respectively,were detected on chromosomes 1,2,4,5,6,7,9,11 and 12 by using a linkage map including 213 SSR markers,which explained 4.84%to 22.65%of phenotypic variance.Chromosomes 1 and 9 possessing the QTLs for DRI harbored simultaneously QTLs for CL,and qCL9 shared the same chromosome location with qDRI9(RM160-RM215).Comparing the QTLs related to drought resistance in other studies,QTLs for CL and DRI were located in the same or adjacent marker interval as those related to root traits,such as number,dry weight,depth,and length of root.Moreover,sixteen and three pairs of epistatic loci for CL and DRI were found,which accounted for 56.17%and 11.93%of the total variation in CL and DRI,respectively.HU Song-ping YANG Hua ZOU Gui-hua LIU Hong-yan LIU Guo-lan MEI Han-wei CAI Run LI Ming-shou LUO Li-jun 2007Rice science2007,14,1:4
19Transformation and migration of phosphorus in excess sludge reduction pretreatment by alkaline ferrate oxidation combined with anaerobic digestion显示文摘Recently,more and more attention has been paid to the strong oxidation ability of newly prepared potassium ferrate(NAPF) in sludge reduction process,but less attention has been paid to the change of phosphorus in this process.The feasibility of phosphorus migration and transformation during excess sludge reduction pretre atment using NAPF pre-oxidation combined with anaerobic digestion was investigated.After 70 mg/g suspended solids NAPF pretreatment and 16 days anaerobic digestion,the solid-phase volatile suspended solids decreased by 44.2%,and much organic matter had been released into the liquid-phase and then degraded during digestion by indigenous microorganisms.As the sludge pre-oxidation process was performed,solid-phase organic phosphorus and chemically combined phosphorus also released into the liquid-phase as PO4^3-,peaking at 100 mg/L.During anaerobic digestion,the Fe3+in the liquid-phase was gradually reduced to Fe2+,and then formed Fe^2+-PO4^3- compound crystals and re-migrated to the solid-phase.The concentration of PO4^3- decreased to 17.08± 1.1 mg/L in the liquid-phase after anaerobic digestion.Finally,the phosphorus in the Fe^2+-PO4^3- compound accounts for 80% of the total phosphorus in the solid-phase.A large number of vivianite crystals in sludge were observed.Therefore,this technology not only effectively reduces sludge,but also increases the proportion of PO43-in the sludge in the form of Vivianite.Xiang Li Yan Yuan Yong Huang Chao-ran Guo Run Jin Ting-ting Liu Jun Ma 2020Journal of Environmental Sciences2020,32,6:4
20Submarine Pipeline Lateral Global Buckling and Buckling Failure Critical State Discussion显示文摘Due to high temperature and pressure,unburied or shallow buried submarine pipelines experience lateral global buckling. Excessive bending caused by uncontrolled deformation may threaten the safety of the pipeline system. Thus,the integer of a post-buckling pipeline section should be assessed under design temperature and pressure differences. This study focuses on the post-buckling pipeline safety assessment.First,a series of model tests based on sand obtained from Bohai Gulf were proposed,and soil resistance to pipelines with different embedment are measured. A dynamic soil resistance model with varying pipeline embedment and lateral displacement was established. The influence of embedment on peak soil resistance and residual soil resistance was analyzed. Second,the critical buckling forces of pipelines with different imperfections were analyzed. A'critical force range'was proposed to evaluate whether the pipeline exhibits lateral global buckling or not. Third,the limit state of a post-buckling pipeline in an engineering case was assessed. The assessment was proposed based on both load control condition and displacement control condition.
