| 3 | Effect of Phenolation, Lignin-Type and Degree of Substitution on the Properties of Lignin-Modified Phenol-Formaldehyde Impregnation Resins: Molecular Weight Distribution, Wetting Behavior, Rheological Properties and Thermal Curing Profiles显示文摘Here,the effects of substituting portions of fossil-based phenol in phenol formaldehyde resin by renewable lignin from two different sources are investigated using a factorial screening experimental design.Among the resins consumed by the wood-based industry,phenolics are one of the most important types used for impregnation,coating or gluing purposes.They are prepared by condensing phenol with formaldehyde(PF).One major use of PF is as matrix polymer for decorative laminates in exterior cladding and wet-room applications.Important requirements for such PFs are favorable flow properties(low viscosity),rapid curing behavior(high reactivity)and sufficient self-adhesion capacity(high residual curing potential).Partially substituting phenol in PF with bio-based phenolic co-reagents like lignin modifies the physicochemical properties of the resulting resin.In this study,phenol-formaldehyde formulations were synthesized where either 30%or 50%(in weight)of the phenol monomer were substituted by either sodium lignosulfonate or Kraft lignin.The effect of modifying the lignin material by phenolation before incorporation into the resin synthesis was also investigated.The resins so obtained were characterized by Fourier Transform Infra-Red(FTIR)spectroscopy,Size Exclusion Chromatography(SEC),Differential Scanning Calorimetry(DSC),rheology,and measurements of contact angle and surface tension using the Wilhelmy plate method and drop shape analysis. | Marion Thébault Larysa Kutuzova Sandra Jury Iris Eicher Edith-Martha Zikulnig-Rusch Andreas Kandelbauer | 2020 | Journal of Renewable Materials2020,8,6: | 2 |

| 5 | Modulation of protein tyrosine phosphorylation in gastric mucosa during re-epithelization processes显示文摘AIM:To investigate the role of protein tyrosine phosphorylation in gastric wound formation and repair following ulceration. METHODS:Gastric lesions were induced in rats using restraint cold stress.To investigate the effect of oxidative and nitrosative cell stress on tyrosine phosphorylation during wound repair,total activity of protein tyrosine kinase(PTK),protein tyrosine phosphatase (PTP),antioxidant enzymes,nitric oxide synthase (NOS), 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthetase,hydroxyl radical and zinc levels were assayed in parallel. RESULTS:Ulcer provocation induced an immediate decrease in tyrosine kinase(40% in plasma membranes and 56% in cytosol,(P<0.05) and phosphatase activity (threefold in plasma membranes and 3.3-fold in cytosol),followed by 2.3-2.4-fold decrease (P<0.05) in protein phosphotyrosine content in the gastric mucosa. Ulceration induced no immediate change in superoxide dismutase (SOD) activity,30% increase (P<0.05) in catalase activity,2.3-fold inhibition (P<0.05) of glutathione peroxidase,3.3-fold increase (P<0.05) in hydroxyl radical content,and 2.3-fold decrease (P<0.05) in zinc level in gastric mucosa.NOS activity was three times higher in gastric mucosa cells after cold stress. Following ulceration,PTK activity increased in plasma membranes and reached a maximum on day 4 after stress (twofold increase,P<0.05),but remained inhibited(1.6-3-fold decrease on days 3,4 and 5,P<0.05) in the cytosol.Tyrosine phosphatases remained inhibited both in membranes and cytosol(1.5-2.4-fold,P< 0.05).NOS activity remained increased on days 1,2 and 3(3.8-,2.6-,2.2-fold,respectively,P<0.05).Activity of SOD increased 1.6 times(P<0.05)days 4 and 5 after stress.Catalase activity normalized after day 2. Glutathione peroxidase activity and zinc level decreased (3.3-and 2-fold,respectively,P<0.05)on the last day. Activity of 2',5'-oligoadenylate synthethase increased 2.8-fold (P<0.05) at the beginning,and 1.6-2.3-fold (P<0.05) during ulcer recuperation,and normalized on day 5,consistent with slowing of inflammation processes. | 20 | Peculiarities of Morphodensitometric Indices of Epitheliocytes of the Oral Cavity Mucous Membrane in Children with Latent Iron Deficiency and Mild Iodine Deficiency显示文摘The article represents the results of the study of the micronutrient deficiency effect(iron and iodine)on the morphometric and optical indices of the oral cavity mucous membrane(OCMM)in school children.In order to achieve this goal,99 school children aged 6-18 years with adequate iodine and iron supply(control group),latent iron deficiency,and mild iodine deficiency were examined.The morphodensitometric study included the determination of the perimeter and area of cells and nuclei,the nuclear-cytoplasmic ratio,the state of chromatin condensation of the epitheliocyte OCMM.The study material was:epitheliocytes of the buccal scraping.It was determined that the area of epitheliocytes in girls aged 6-11 has significantly increased in mild iodine deficiency and in latent iron deficiency.Instead,the decrease of nuclei area was more noticeable in boys of this age in mild iodine deficiency.During the analysis of the general level of chromatin condensation of epitheliocyte nuclei in children,a gender peculiarity has been proved,which was manifested by a greater sensitivity of girls to microelementosis(increase of the integrative optical density of nuclei in the latent iron deficiency at 97.9%,p1-3<0.05,and cell area at 45.8%,p1-4<0.01 relative to control).Among children aged 12-18 years,young men were more sensitive to the deficiency of the studied trace elements.Significant growth of the cell area at 38.7%(p1-2<0.05)in adolescents with mild iodine deficiency and total optical density of nuclei at 63.6%(p1-2<0.05)was substantiated with respect to control in the decrease of karyoplasmic area. | Uliana Shalamay Nataliya Voronych-Semchenko Larysa Kovalchuk Mykola Bagriy | 2020 | Journal of Pharmacy and Pharmacology2020,8,1: | 0 |
