1Temporal-Spatial Structure of Intraplate Uplift in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau显示文摘The intraplate uplift of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau took place on the basis of breakup and assembly of the Precambrian supercontinent, and southward ocean-continent transition of the Proto-, Paleo-, Meso-and Neo-Tethys during the Caledonian, Indosinian, Yanshanian and Early Himalayan movements. The intraplate tectonic evolution of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau underwent the early stage of intraplate orogeny characterized by migrational tectonic uplift, horizontal movement and geological processes during 180-7 Ma, and the late stage of isostatic mountain building characterized by pulsative rapid uplift, vertical movement and geographical processes since 3.6 Ma. The spatial-temporal evolution of the intraplate orogeny within the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau shows a regular transition from the northern part through the central part to the southern part during 180-120 Ma, 65-35 Ma, and 25-7 Ma respectively, with extensive intraplate faulting, folding, block movement, magmatism and metallogenesis. Simultaneous intraplate orogeny and basin formation resulted from crustal rheological stratification and basin-orogen coupling that was induced by lateral viscous flow in the lower crust. This continental dynamic process was controlled by lateral flow of hot and soft materials within the lower crust because of slab dehydration and melted mantle upwelling above the subducted plates during the southward Tethyan ocean-continent transition processes or asthenosphere diapirism. Intraplate orogeny and basin formation were irrelevant to plate collision. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as a whole was actually formed by the isostatic mountain building processes since 3.6 Ma that were characterized by crust-scale vertical movement, and integral rapid uplift of the plateau, accompanied by isostatic subsidence of peripheral basins and depressions, and great changes in topography and environment. A series of pulsative mountain building events, associated with gravity equilibrium and isostatic adjustment of crustal materials, at 3.6 Ma, 2.5 Ma, 1.8-1.2 Ma, 0.9-0.8 Ma and 0.15-0.12 Ma led to the formation of a composite orogenic belt by unifying the originally relatively independent Himalayas, Gangdisê, Tanghla, Longmenshan, Kunlun, Altyn Tagh, and Qilian mountains, and the formation of the complete Qinghai-Tibet Plateau with a unified mountain root after Miocene uplift of the plateau as a whole.LI Dewei 2010Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2010,84,1:21

5Estimation method for a skip-stop operation strategy for urban rail transit in China显示文摘The skip-stop operation strategy(SOS) is rarely applied to Chinese urban rail transit networks because it is a simple scheme and a less universally popular transportation service. However, the SOS has performance advantages, in that the total trip time can be reduced depending on the number of skipped stations, crowds of passengers can be rapidly evacuated at congested stations in peak periods, and the cost to transit companies is reduced. There is a contradiction between reducing the trip time under the SOS and increasing the passengers' waiting times under an all-stop scheme. Given this situation, the three objectives of our study were to minimize the waiting and trip times of all passengers and the travel times of trains. A comprehensive estimation model is presented for the SOS. The mechanism through which the trip time for all passengers is affected by the SOS is analyzed in detail. 6Quality guaranteed aggregation based model predictive control and stability analysis显示文摘The input aggregation strategy can reduce the online computational burden of the model predictive controller. But generally aggregation based MPC controller may lead to poor control quality. Therefore,a new concept,equivalent aggregation,is proposed to guarantee the control quality of aggregation based MPC. From the general framework of input linear aggregation,the design methods of equivalent aggregation are developed for unconstrained and terminal zero constrained MPC,which guarantee the actual control inputs exactly to be equal to that of the original MPC. For constrained MPC,quasi-equivalent aggregation strategies are also discussed,aiming to make the difference between the control inputs of aggregation based MPC and original MPC as small as possible. 7Paleoproterozoic granitic gneisses of the Dinggye and LhagoiKangri areas from the higher and northern Himalaya,Tibet:Geochronology and implications显示文摘Granitic gneisses have been widely found in crystalline rocks in the Dinggye area of the Higher Himalaya (HHM) and the LhagoiKangri area of the North Himalaya (NHM), Tibet. In the HHM, the gneisses intruded in the granulite-amphibolite facies metamorphosed sedimentary rocks, known as Nyalam group. In the NHM, the gneisses intruded in the amphibolite facies metamorphosed ones, known as LhagoiKangri group. These granitic gneisses are peraluminous monzonitic granites in terms of their mineral assemblage, and are considered as being derived from metamorphosed sedimentary rocks by anatexis based on the transitional relationship of the gneisses with their migmatitized wall rocks. Zircons are similar in crystal shape and interior structure from both gneisses. Most of them are euhedral or subhedral elongated prism-shaped transparent crystals, with fine oscillatory zoning, showing the magmatic genesis. Some of them are short prism-shaped and with relict core inherited from magma source and oscillatory zoning mantle crystallized from magma. SHRIMP U-Pb dating of zicons shows that both the granitic gneisses in the HHM and NHM are Paleoproterozoic (1811.6±2.9 Ma and 1811.7±7.2 Ma, respectively). These ages are similar to those (1815 to 2120 Ma) from granitic gneiss which is widely distributed in the Lesser Himalaya (LHM). The ages of inherited zircons (>2493.9±7.0 Ma, 2095.8± 8.8 Ma, 1874±29 Ma) exhibit the possible presence of several thermal events in Paleoproterozoic. All of the ages suggest the same India basement beneath the different units in Himalaya area, and do not support the idea that the HHM and NHM are accretionary terranes in Pan-Africa orogenic event. 8Materials evolution of bone plates for internal fixation of bone fractures:A review显示文摘Bone plates play a vital role in bone fracture healing by providing the necessary mechanical fixation for fracture fragments through modulating biomechanical microenvironment adjacent to the fracture site.Good treatment effect has been achieved for fixation of bone fracture with conventional bone plates,which are made of stainless steel or titanium alloy.However,several limitations still exist with traditional bone plates including loosening and stress shielding due to significant difference in modulus between metal material and bone tissue that impairs optimal fracture healing.Additionally,due to demographic changes and non-physiological loading,the population suffering from refractory fractures,such as osteoporosis fractures and comminuted fractures,is increasing,which imposes a big challenge to traditional bone plates developed for normal bone fracture repair.Therefore,optimal fracture treatment with adequate fixation implants in terms of materials and design relevant to special conditions is desirable.In this review,the complex physiological process of bone healing is introduced,followed by reviewing the development of implant design and biomaterials for bone plates.Finally,we discuss recent development of hybrid bone plates that contains bioactive elements or factors for fracture healing enhancement as a promising direction.This includes biodegradable Mg-based alloy used for designing bone screw-plates that has been proven to be beneficial for fracture healing,an innovative development that attracts more and more attention.This paper also indicates that the tantalum bone plates with porous structure are also emerging as a new fracture internal fixation implants.The reduction of the stress shielding is verified to be useful to accelerate bone fracture healing.Potential application of biodegradable metals may also avoid a second operation for implant removal.Further developments in biometals and their design for orthopedic bone plates are expected to improve the treatment of bone fracture,especially the refractory fractures.Junlei Li Ling Qin Ke Yang Zhijie Ma Yongxuan Wang Liangliang Cheng Dewei Zhao 2020Journal of Materials Science & Technology2020,36,1:5

10Two-Stage Transformerless Dual-Buck PV Grid-Connected Inverters with High Efficiency显示文摘A semi-two-stage common-ground-type transformerless dual-buck-based grid-connected inverter is proposed in this paper.The common-ground-type topology can eliminate common mode(CM)leakage current by connecting the negative terminal of the photovoltaic(PV)directly to the neutral point of the grid,which bypasses the PV array’s stray capacitance.The dual-buck-based topology guarantees increased robustness since the dc-link cannot be short-circuited by a shoot-through event.The semi-two-stage topology features multi-level characteristic,which has a lower forward-voltage drop and smaller dv/dt.Compared with the conventional two-stage inverter,the proposed topology achieves higher efficiency and higher reliability.Experimental results of a 1.5kW prototype show that the proposed inverter is able to achieve high efficiency and low leakage currents.Li Zhang Fengkai Jiang Dewei(David)Xu Kai Sun Yongqiang Hao Tao Zhang 2018Chinese Journal of Electrical Engineering2018,4,2:4
11A Facile and Template-Free One-Pot Synthesis of Mn_3O_4 Nanostructures as Electrochemical Supercapacitors显示文摘In this paper, we report an effective, simple, and cost-effective strategy of electrochemical deposition to prepare hausmannite Mn_3O_4 thin films for the applications of supercapacitors. Various precursor concentrations and deposition durations were manipulated to tailor the surface morphologies of Mn_3O_4 nanostructures and to optimize their electrochemical performances. The Mn_3O_4 samples prepared at 0.05 M Mn(NO3)2solution for 30 min delivered a large gravimetric specific capacitance of 210 F g-1at a current density of 0.5 A g-1, and a good rate capability over other samples. This superior electrochemical performance may be attributed to the improved electrode conductivity with increased accessible area for electrolytes ions. Furthermore, a nanocomposite film based on Mn_3O_4/carbon foam was fabricated by utilizing the developed optimized conditions. The Mn_3O_4/carbon foam films exhibit an excellent specific capacitance with negligible degradation in retaining specific capacitance values up to 4000 cycles. 13Controlled fabrication of Pr(OH)_3 nanowires for enhanced photocatalytic activities显示文摘In this report, praseodymium hydroxide Pr(OH)_3 nanowires with different aspect ratios (length to diameter ratios) were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal approach. The variations in alkali concentration during synthesis are found to form different aspect ratios of nanowires. The X-ray diffraction and Raman spectroscopy analysis demonstrate the absence of any impurity phases in as-prepared materials.Subsequently, photocatalytic activities of as-prepared nano wires were evaluated by the degradation of methyl orange (MO). Our findings reveal that the nanowires with larger aspect ratios have higher photocatalytic efficiency than the smaller aspect ratio samples. X-ray photospectroscopy investigations reveal that the samples with higher aspect ratio are found to exhibit more oxygen vacancies as compared to lower aspect ratio samples. The enhanced photocatalytic activities can be attributed to the presence of higher percentage of active crystal facet (100), higher concentration of defects densities and narrower band gap. 14Decomposition and decoupling analysis of carbon dioxide emissions in African countries during 1984–2014显示文摘The potential for mitigating climate change is growing worldwide,with an increasing emphasis on reducing CO_(2)emissions and minimising the impact on the environment.African continent is faced with the unique challenge of climate change whilst coping with extreme poverty,explosive population growth and economic difficulties.CO_(2)emission patterns in Africa are analysed in this study to understand primary CO_(2)sources and underlying driving forces further.Data are examined using gravity model,logarithmic mean divisia index and Tapio's decoupling indicator of CO_(2)emissions from economic development in 20 selected African countries during 1984-2014.Results reveal that CO_(2)emissions increased by 2.11%(453.73 million ton)over the research period.Gravity centre for African CO_(2)emissions had shifted towards the northeast direction.Population and economic growth were primary driving forces of CO_(2)emissions.Industrial structure and emission efficiency effects partially offset the growth of CO_(2)emissions.The economic growth effect was an offset factor in central African countries and Zimbabwe due to political instability and economic mismanagement.Industrial structure and emission efficiency were insufficient to decouple economic development from CO_(2)emissions and relieve the pressure of population explosion on CO_(2)emissions in Africa.Thus,future efforts in reducing CO_(2)emissions should focus on scaleup energy-efficient technologies,renewable energy update,emission pricing and long-term green development towards sustainable development goals by 2030.Claudien Habimana Simbi Jianyi Lin Dewei Yang Jean Claude Ndayishimiye Yang Liu Huimei Li Lingxing Xu Weijing Ma 2021Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4:3
15Porous silicon carbide coated with tantalum as potential material for bone implants显示文摘Porous silicon carbide(SiC)has a specific biomorphous microstructure similar to the trabecular microstructure of human bone.Compared with that of bioactive ceramics,such as calcium phosphate,SiC does not induce spontaneous interface bonding to living bone.In this study,bioactive tantalum(Ta)metal deposited on porous SiC scaffolds by chemical vapour deposition was investigated to accelerate osseointegration and improve the bonding to bones.Scanning electron microscopy indicated that the Ta coating evenly covered the entire scaffold structure.Energy-dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction analysis showed that the coating consisted of Ta phases.The bonding strength between the Ta coating and the SiC substrate is 88.4MPa.The yield strength of porous SiC with a Ta coating(pTa)was 45.862.9MPa,the compressive strength was 61.463.2MPa and the elasticmodulus was4.8GPa.When MG-63 human osteoblasts were co-cultured with pTa,osteoblasts showed good adhesion and spreading on the surface of the pTa and its porous structure,which showed that it has excellent bioactivity and cyto-compatibility.To further study the osseointegration properties of pTa.PTa and porous titanium(pTi)were implanted into the femoral neck of goats for 12weeks,respectively.The Van-Gieson staining of histological sections results that the pTa group had better osseointegration than the pTi group.These results indicate that coating bioactive Ta metal on porous SiC scaffolds could be a potential material for bone substitutes.Zhijie Ma Jingyu Li Fang Cao Jiahui Yang Rong Liu Dewei Zhao 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,5:3
16Three-Dimensional Hierarchical Nanostructured Cu/Ni–Co Coating Electrode for Hydrogen Evolution Reaction in Alkaline Media显示文摘In this work,three-dimensional hierarchical nickel–cobalt alloy coating for hydrogen evolution cathode was fabricated by electrodeposition processes.The coatings’morphology evolves from sea cucumber-like nanostructure to caterpillar-like one with the increase of cobalt content.A large amount of nanometric‘‘steps,’’served as the active sites for hydrogen evolution reaction,were observed.According to Tafel polarization measurements,the exchange current density of the as-synthesized coating with hierarchical nanostructure was 21.9 times compared with that of flat nickel coating.In addition,the hierarchical coating also displayed good electrochemical stability from the galvanostatic test.Ning Wang Tao Hang Dewei Chu Ming Li 2015Nano-Micro Letters2015,7,4:2
17Distributed Subgradient Algorithm for Multi-Agent Optimization With Dynamic Stepsize显示文摘In this paper,we consider distributed convex optimization problems on multi-agent networks.We develop and analyze the distributed gradient method which allows each agent to compute its dynamic stepsize by utilizing the time-varying estimate of the local function value at the global optimal solution.Our approach can be applied to both synchronous and asynchronous communication protocols.Specifically,we propose the distributed subgradient with uncoordinated dynamic stepsizes(DS-UD)algorithm for synchronous protocol and the AsynDGD algorithm for asynchronous protocol.Theoretical analysis shows that the proposed algorithms guarantee that all agents reach a consensus on the solution to the multi-agent optimization problem.Moreover,the proposed approach with dynamic stepsizes eliminates the requirement of diminishing stepsize in existing works.Numerical examples of distributed estimation in sensor networks are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.Xiaoxing Ren Dewei Li Yugeng Xi Haibin Shao 2021IEEE/CAA Journal of Automatica Sinica2021,8,8:2
18Cyst(e)ine in nutrition formulation promotes colon cancer growth and chemoresistance by activating mTORCl and scavenging ROS显示文摘Weight loss and cachexia are common problems in colorectal cancer patients;thus,parenteral and enteral nutrition support play important roles in cancer care.However,the impact of nonessential amino acid components of nutritional intake on cancer progression has not been fully studied.In this study,we discovered that gastrointestinal cancer patients who received cysteine as part of the parenteral nutrition had shorter overall survival(P<0.001)than those who did not.Cystine indeed robustly promotes colon cancer cell growth in vitro and in immunodeficient mice,predominately by inhibiting SESN2 transcription via the GCN2-ATF4 axis,resulting in mTORCl activation.mTORCl inhibitors Rapamycin and Everolimus block cystine-induced cancer cell proliferation.In addition,cystine confers resistance to oxaliplatin and irinotecan chemotherapy by quenching chemotherapy-induced reactive oxygen species via synthesizing glutathione.We demonstrated that dietary deprivation of cystine suppressed colon cancer xenograft growth without weight loss in mice and boosted the antitumor effect of oxaliplatin.These findings indicate that cyst(e)ine;as part of supplemental nutrition,plays an important role in colorectal cancer and manipulation of cyst(e)ine content in nutritional formulations may optimize colorectal cancer patient survival.Jiao Wu Sai-Ching Jim Yeung Sicheng Liu Aiham Qdaisat Dewei Jiang Wenli Liu Zhuo Cheng Wenjing Liu Haixia Wang Lu Li Zhongmei Zhou Rong Liu Chuanyu Yang Ceshi Chen Runxiang Yang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,6:2

20Arabidopsis ENOR3 regulates RNAi-mediated antiviral defense显示文摘Viruses can infect host plants to cause severe diseases and substantial agricultural loss, while plants have evolved RNA interference(RNAi) strategy to defend against viral infection. Despite enormous efforts, only a few host proteins in RNAi pathway were shown to mediate antiviral defense, including RNA-dependent RNA polymerase 1(RDR1), RDR6, DICER-LIKE 2(DCL2) and DCL4. In this study, we carried out a genetic screen for antiviral factors of RNAi pathway in Arabidopsis rdr6 background via inoculation with a 2 bdeficient Cucumber Mosaic Virus(CMV-D2b). We identified a mutant susceptible to CMV-D2b, referred to as enhancer of rdr6(enor) 3-1 rdr6, and found that ENOR3 encodes a functionally unknown protein with high homology to the mammalian Non Imprinted in Prader-Willi/Angelman(NIPA) magnesium transporters. ENOR3 inhibits accumulation of CMV-D2b and acts additively with RDR1, RDR6, DCL2 and DCL4 in antiviral defense.
