| 2 | An imine-linked covalent organic framework as the host material for sulfur loading in lithium–sulfur batteries显示文摘Lithium–sulfur(Li–S) batteries have high theoretical specific capacity, providing new opportunities for the next generation of secondary battery. Covalent organic framework(COF) as a new porous crystalline material has been used as the host material in Li–S battery to improve the cell's cycling stability. In this paper, an imine-linked TAPB-PDA-COF was applied as the host material for sulfur loading(60%) in Li–S battery. The TAPB-PDA-COF has a beehive-like morphology with high thermal stability(up to 500 ℃).In the electrochemical experiment, the performance of the composite cathode with acetylene black(AB) and super-P(S-P) as the conductive additives was studied individually. The initial discharge capacity under 0.2 A/g current density was 991 mAh/g and 1357 mAh/g for TAPB-PDA-COF/S@A-B and TAPB-PDACOF/S@S-P, respectively. The better result of S-P based cathode than A-B could be due to the better conductivity of the S-P, as proved by the EIS results. When further increased the current density to 2 A/g,the S-P based composite cathode can still deliver a comparable initial discharge capacity of 630 and 274 mAh/g capacity remained after 940 cycles. | 3 | Factor decomposition of carbon emissions in Chinese megacities显示文摘In this article, per capita urban carbon emissions were decomposed into manufacturing,transportation, and construction sectors using logarithmic mean Divisia index(LMDI)method. This new decomposition method can provide information about specific drivers of carbon emissions, including urban growth and resident living standards, rather than general demographic and economic factors identified by traditional methods. Using four Chinese megacities(Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, and Chongqing) as case studies, we analyzed the factors that influenced per capita carbon emissions from 2010 to 2015. The results showed that per capita carbon emissions increased in Tianjin and Chongqing whereas decreased in Beijing and Shanghai, and that manufacturing was a key driving force. In these four megacities,energy conservation strategies were successfully implemented despite poor energy structure optimization during 2010–2015. Development of manufacturing and improvement of resident living standards in the cities led to an increase in carbon emissions. The unique dual-core urban form of Tianjin might mitigate the increased carbon emissions caused by the transportation sector. | 4 | Decomposition and decoupling analysis of carbon dioxide emissions in African countries during 1984–2014显示文摘The potential for mitigating climate change is growing worldwide,with an increasing emphasis on reducing CO_(2)emissions and minimising the impact on the environment.African continent is faced with the unique challenge of climate change whilst coping with extreme poverty,explosive population growth and economic difficulties.CO_(2)emission patterns in Africa are analysed in this study to understand primary CO_(2)sources and underlying driving forces further.Data are examined using gravity model,logarithmic mean divisia index and Tapio's decoupling indicator of CO_(2)emissions from economic development in 20 selected African countries during 1984-2014.Results reveal that CO_(2)emissions increased by 2.11%(453.73 million ton)over the research period.Gravity centre for African CO_(2)emissions had shifted towards the northeast direction.Population and economic growth were primary driving forces of CO_(2)emissions.Industrial structure and emission efficiency effects partially offset the growth of CO_(2)emissions.The economic growth effect was an offset factor in central African countries and Zimbabwe due to political instability and economic mismanagement.Industrial structure and emission efficiency were insufficient to decouple economic development from CO_(2)emissions and relieve the pressure of population explosion on CO_(2)emissions in Africa.Thus,future efforts in reducing CO_(2)emissions should focus on scaleup energy-efficient technologies,renewable energy update,emission pricing and long-term green development towards sustainable development goals by 2030. | Claudien Habimana Simbi Jianyi Lin Dewei Yang Jean Claude Ndayishimiye Yang Liu Huimei Li Lingxing Xu Weijing Ma | 2021 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2021,33,4: | 3 |
| 5 | Effect of multiphase content on temperature-dependent electrical conductivity in silicone rubber composites显示文摘To investigate how the multiphase structures affect the electrical conductivity in semicrystalline polymer composites,herein,an accurate multiphase content calculation method is proposed and verified,which combines amorphous phase information in broadband dielectric spectroscopy and crystalline phase information in differential scanning calorimetry.Taken aluminium hydroxide(ATH)filled silicone rubber as an example,it is found that the rigid amorphous fraction(RAF)corresponding to the chains constrained by crystals(RAF_(cry))is not linearly increased with crystalline fraction(CF).Compared to non-isothermal crystallisation,RAF caused by ATH/silicone rubber interface(RAF_(int))after isothermal crystallisation at 213 K changes little,while mobile amorphous fraction and RAFcry is attenuated and CF is strengthened.Based on the calculated structures of ATH filled silicone rubber,activation energy of conductivities during cooling is dominated by the thermal transition for conductive ions and shortened distance among the conductive ions through shrunk volumes of the amorphous phase.Our findings deepen the understanding of multiphase content in semi-crystalline polymer composites and its relationship with electrical conductivity,which can be applied in manipulating electrical performance of semi-crystalline polymers by fillers. | Ying Lin Yuhao Liu Bin Cao Jianyi Xue Liming Wang Jianing Wang Lijian Ding | 2023 | High Voltage2023,8,2: | 2 |
| 6 | Molecular catalysis for the steam reforming of ethanol显示文摘In this paper,the application of molecular catalysis for steam reforming of ethanol(SRE)is reviewed.Eight metals(Ni,Co,Cu,Pt,Rh,Pd,Ir and Ru)have shown high catalytic activity for SRE.Among them Ni and Rh are very promising because of high d character in the metal bond and low metal-oxygen bonding(vs.metal-carbon).They can effectively promote C–C bond cleavage in the rate-determining process during SRE.However,Rh is weak in water-gas-shift so that CH4 and CO become the main by-products at low reaction temperatures,while Ni catalysts suffer from rapid deactivation due to coking and sintering.Two low-temperature CO-free catalysts have been developed in our lab,namely Rh-Fe/Ca-Al2O3 and carbonyl-derived Rh-Co/Ce O2,in which the presence of iron oxide or Co can promote water-gas-shift reaction and significantly improve the SRE performance.On the other hand,adding 3 wt%Ca O to Ni/Al2O3 can greatly improve the catalyst stability because the Ca modification not only increases Ni concentration on the Ni/Ca-Al2O3 surface and 3d valence electron density,but also facilitates the water adsorption and coke gasification via water-gas-shift.The availability of abundant surface OH groups helps the formation and conversion of adsorbed formate intermediate.Hence,ethanol reaction on Ca-Al2O3-supported Ni,Pt,Pd and Rh catalysts are found to follow the formate-intermediated pathway,a new reaction pathway alternative to the traditional acetate-intermediated pathway. | Jianyi Lin Luwei Chen Catherine Kai Shin Choong Ziyi Zhong Lin Huang | 2015 | Science China Chemistry2015,58,1: | 1 |

| 8 | Study on Plasticity Modification for Measuring High Residual Stress by Hole-Drilling Method显示文摘Hole-drilling method is a commonly used method for measuring residual stress. The calibration coefficients in ASTM E837-13 a would cause large errors due to the plasticity deformation of materials. In the study, calibration coefficients were modified in the plasticity deformation stage based on the distortion energy theory. The calibration experiment of calibration coefficients was simulated by the finite element model, and the plasticity modification formulas of 7075 aluminum alloy were obtained. From the results of uniaxial tensile loading test, the measuring errors of high residual stress are significantly reduced from-4.071%~53.440% to-5.140% ~ 0.609% after the plasticity modification. Photonic memories employing nonvolatile phase-change materials could achieve zero static power consumption, low thermal cross talk, large-scale, andhigh-energy-efficient photonic neural networks. Nevertheless, the switching speed and dynamic energyconsumption of phase-change material-based photonic memories make them inapplicable for in situ training.Here, by integrating a patch of phase change thin film with a PIN-diode-embedded microring resonator,a bifunctional photonic memory enabling both 5-bit storage and nanoseconds volatile modulation wasdemonstrated. For the first time, a concept is presented for electrically programmable phase-changematerial-driven photonic memory integrated with nanosecond modulation to allow fast in situ training and zerostatic power consumption data processing in ONNs. ONNs with an optical convolution kernel constructedby our photonic memory theoretically achieved an accuracy of predictions higher than 95% when testedby the MNIST handwritten digit database.
