| 2 | Engineering complex systems applied to risk management in the mining industry显示文摘Related to complexity, there is a wide diversity of concepts, ranging from ‘‘systemic' to ‘‘complex', implying a need for a unified terminology. Per different authors, the main drivers of complexity can be found in human behaviour and uncertainty. This complexity, structural or dynamic can be organizational, technological, or nested in their relationship. ISO international standard 31000:2009 definition of risk management ‘‘coordinated activities to direct and control an organization with regard to risk', when applied to economic sectors, industry, services, project, or activity, it requires the use of models or theories as guidelines. Therefore, as its basic elements comprehend human behaviour and/or uncertainty, risk management to be effective and adapted as much as possible to reality, must be operational within complex systems, as already demonstrated in different R&D environments. Risk management faces demanding challenges when approaching specific and endogenous needs, such as the mining sector. | 4 | EFFECT OF INTERPHASE LIFT FORCE ON THE FLUID FLOW IN AN AIR-STIRRED CYLINDRICAL VESSEL显示文摘In the present paper, based on the two-phase model (Eulerian model), the two dimensional fluid flow liz air-stirred water systems is simulated, and the effect of interphase lift force on the fluid flow is specially discussed. In the Eulerian two-phase model, gas and liquid phase are considered to be two different continuous fluids interacting with each other through the finite inter-phase areas. The exchange between the phases is represented by source terms in conversation equations. Turbulence is assumed to be a property of the liquid phase, k - ε model is used to describe the behavior of the liquid phase. The dispersion of phases due to turbulence is represented by introducing a diffusion term in mass consecrvation equation. The contribution of bubble movement to the turbulent energy and its dissipation rate is taken into accounted by adding extra volumetric source terms to the equations of turbulent enemy and its dissipation rate. The comparison between the mathematical simulation and experiment data indicates that the interphase lift force has a big effect on the flow behavior, and considering both drug force and lift force as interphase forces is important to accurately simulate the gas-water two-phase fluid flow in air-stirred systems. The interphase lift force makes bubbles move away from the centerline, the gas concentration is decreased near the centerline, and increased near the wall. | 6 | MICROSTRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF ZL201 ALLOY OBTAINED BY NEAR-LIQUIDUS ELECTROMAGNETIC CASTING显示文摘The microstructures of 7L201 alloy slurry prepared by near-liquidus electromagnetic casting (NLEMC), electromagnetic casting(EMC), and near-liquidus casting(NLC) were investigated by means of electron microscopy and image analysis. Mechanical properties of as-cast alloys were determined. The results show that the NLEMC induces a fine, uniform, and equiaxed grain struc- ture with a mean equal-area-circle grain diameter of 32.8μm. The as-cast alloy has a hardness of HV122.8 and a tensile strength of 368MPa. Both of them are better than those of the alloys pre- pared by EMC and by NLC. | 11 | 减少卵子老化对于补救性卵母细胞单精子显微注射结局的影响显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the results of a novel protocol that allows to rescue IVF unfertilized oocytes by intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI).Design: Prospective clinical trial.Setting: Private reproductive medical center.Patient(s): Thirty patients undergoing IVF.Intervention(s): Controlled ovarian stimulation (COS), conventional IVF, rescue ICSI, embryo culture, and embryo transfer.Main Outcome Measure(s): Identification of unfertilized IVF oocytes 6 hours after insemination and fertilization, and developmental rates of those oocytes after rescue microinjection, as well implantation and pregnancy rates (PR).Result(s): All oocytes (392) from 30 patients were inseminated with standard IVF 3 hours after ovum pick- up.Polar body (PB) status was checked at decumulation and rechecked 3 hours later.Eighty- two oocytes were fertilized after IVF alone and 184 nonactivated oocytes (failed fertilization) were rescue microinjected and 166 of them fertilized (20 patients).Cleavage stage on day 2 was significantly more advanced and embryo grade was higher after standard IVF fertilization than after rescue ICSI.Eight of the 30 embryos transferred were implanted in the IVF- only patients (27% )- and 8 of 68 embryos in the rescue ICSI patients (12% ).Conclusion(s): Rescue ICSI of unfertilized IVF oocytes 6 hours after insemination (9 hours after egg retrieval) can provide normal fertilization, embryo development, and pregnancy; however, corresponding outcome parameters tend to be impaired in comparison to the standard IVF fertilization results. | Nagy Z.P.
