2Sirt1-ROS-TRAF6 Signaling-Induced Pyroptosis Contributes to Early Injury in Ischemic Mice显示文摘Stroke is an acute cerebro-vascular disease with high incidence and poor prognosis,most commonly ischemic in nature.In recent years,increasing attention has been paid to inflammatory reactions as symptoms of a stroke.However,the role of inflammation in stroke and its underlying mechanisms require exploration.In this study,we evaluated the inflammatory reactions induced by acute ischemia and found that pyroptosis occurred after acute ischemia both in vivo and in vitro,as determined by interleukin-1β,apoptosis-associated speck-like protein,and caspase-1.The early inflammation resulted in irreversible ischemic injury,indicating that it deserves thorough investigation.Meanwhile,acute ischemia decreased the Sirtuin 1(Sirtl)protein levels,and increased the TRAF6(TNF receptor associated factor 6)protein and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels.In further exploration,both Sirtl suppression and TRAF6 activation were found to contribute to this pyroptosis.Reduced Sirtl levels were responsible for the production of ROS and increased TRAF6 protein levels after ischemic exposure.Moreover,N-acetyl-L-cysteine,an ROS scavenger,suppressed the TRAF6 accumulation induced by oxygen-glucose deprivation via suppression of ROS bursts.These phenomena indicate that Sirtl is upstream of ROS,and ROS bursts result in increased TRAF6 levels.Further,the activation of Sirtl during the period of ischemia reduced ischemiainduced injury after 72 h of reperfusion in mice with middle cerebral artery occlusion.In sum,these results indicate that pyroptosis-dependent machinery contributes to the neural injury during acute ischemia via the Sirt1-ROS-TRAF6 signaling pathway.We propose that inflammatory reactions occur soon after oxidative stress and are detrimental to neuronal survival;this provides a promising therapeutic target against ischemic injuries such as a stroke.Weijie Yan Wei Sun Jiahui Fan Haiqing Wang Song Han Junfa Li Yanling Yin 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,8:9
3Study on liquid-liquid bimetal composite casting hammers显示文摘Crusher hammers for the mineral processing industry must meet the demands of both high wear resistance at the hammer head and high impact toughness at the hammer handle. The crusher hammers made of Hadfield steel have typically low service life of less than 40 hours. To solve the problem, a kind of bimetal crusher hammers made of high chromium cast iron(HCCI) and low alloy steel(LAS) has been successfully developed by using liquid-liquid composite casting. The microstructure and composite interface bonding was analyzed using optical microscope, SEM, EDX and XRD. Micrographs indicate that the composite interface is metallurgically bonded with a zigzag shape across the boundary and without unbound region or void. After heat treatment, the composite hammers have shown excellent properties. The hardness of HCCI is at least 63 HRC and its αk is greater than 3.5 J·cm-2; the hardness of LAS is greater than 35 HRC and its αk is no less than 80 J·cm-2. Diffusion of elements takes place at the interface and forms a transition region. The micro hardness increases from LAS to the interface and then to HCCI. Wear comparison was made separately between the bimetal composite hammer and a Hadfield steel hammer in two quarries of Jilin province and Liaoning province. 6Elevated 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2'-deoxyguanosine in genome of T24 bladder cancer cells induced by halobenzoquinones显示文摘Halobenzoquinones(HBQs) are an emerging class of halogenated disinfection byproducts(DBPs) in drinking water, which raised public concerns due to potential carcinogenic effects to human bladder. Our previous work demonstrated that HBQs and hydrogen peroxide(H_2O_2)together generated oxidative DNA damage via a metal-independent and intercalationenhanced oxidation mechanism in vitro. This study further investigated the efficiency of various HBQs to induce oxidative DNA damage in T24 bladder cancer cells. Compared with T24 cells without treatment(3.1 lesions per 10~6 d G), the level of 8-oxo-7,8-dihydro-2′-deoxyguanosine(8-oxod G) significantly increased by 1.4, 3.2, 8.8, and 9.2 times after treatment with tetrabromo-1,4-benzoquinone(TBBQ), terachloro-1,4-benzoquinone(TCBQ),2,6-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone(2,6-DCBQ) and 2,5-dichloro-1,4-benzoquinone(2,5-DCBQ) for24 hr, respectively. 7Voussoir beam model for lower strong roof strata movement in longwall mining - Case study显示文摘The paper presents the influence of varying immediate roof thickness on the lower strong roof strata movement and failure pattern in longwall coal mining with large mining height. The investigation is based on 58 geological drill holes and hydraulic shield pressure measurements around the longwall Panel 42105 of the Buertai Mine in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. The longwall Panel 42105 is characterized by relatively soft immediate roof strata of varying thickness superposed by strong strata,herein defined as lower strong roof. A voussoir beam model is adopted to interpret the structural movement of the lower strong roof strata and shield pressure measurements. It is shown that when the immediate roof is relatively thick, the broken overlying lower strong roof tends to form a stable voussoir beam with previously broken layer, thus not exerting high pressure on the hydraulic shield and working face. When the immediate roof is relatively thin, the broken overlying lower strong roof tends to behave as a cantilever beam, thus exerting higher pressure on the hydraulic shield and working face. 8Study on Thermal Simulation of Solidification in Heavy Section Ductile Iron显示文摘Using an artificial intelligent instrument and a computer feedback control method, a new thermal simulation systemis studied. Based on numerical simulation of casting solidification, a sample in the new system successfully simulatedthe solidification of heavy section ductile iron. The results show that the new thermal simulation system is accurateand reliable. Not only cooling curve but also graphite in the center of the thermal sample and the heavy sectionductile iron is identical. 10Organic solvent-and phase transfer catalyst-free oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone with dilute H_2O_2显示文摘The oxidation of cyclohexanol to cyclohexanone with 30% aqueous hydrogen peroxide by using peroxotung-state complexes formed in situ from sodium tungstate di-hydrate and various bidentate organic ligands as the catalysts, without organic solvents, halide and phase transfer catalyst has been carried out. The influence of 13 ligands on the oxidation is investigated. The maximum yield of cyclohexanone is obtained when using 1,10-phenanthroline (96%) and oxalic acid (95%) as the ligand. Very high yields (around 90%) have also been obtained for the instances of using salicylic acid, 3,5-dibromosalicylic acid, and 8-hydro- xylquino-line as ligands. 11Electronic structure and chemical reaction of Ca deposition on regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) surfaces显示文摘Conjugated polymer, regioregular poly(3-hexylthiophene) (rr-P3HT), films were prepared by spin-coating the rr-P3HT chloroform solution onto clean silicon wafer surfaces. The chemical re-action and electronic structure of Ca deposition on rr-P3HT surfaces were in situ investigated by synchrotron radiation photoemission spectroscopy (SRPES) and X-ray photoemission spectros-copy (XPS). Upon Ca deposition, Ca-induced band bending of rr-P3HT is observed. In addition, Ca atoms preferentially react with S atoms of rr-P3HT. No obvious reaction between Ca and C atoms can be found. 12Synergistic catalysis of cluster and atomic copper induced by copper-silica interface in transfer-hydrogenation显示文摘To data,using strong metal-support interaction(SMSI)effect to improve the catalytic performance of metal catalysts is an important strategy for heterogeneous catalysis,and this effect is basically achieved by using reducible metal oxides.However,the formation of SMSI between metal and inert-support has been so little coverage and remains challenge.In this work,the SMSI effect can be effectively extended to the inert support-metal catalysis system to fabricate a Cu^(0)/Cu-doped SiO_(2) catalyst with high dispersion and loading(38.5 wt.%)through the interfacial effect of inert silica.In the catalyst,subnanometric composite of Cu cluster and atomic copper(in the configuration of Cu-O-Si)can be consciously formed on the silica interface,and verified by extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS),in situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),and high-angle annular dark field-scanning transmission electron microscopy(HAADF-STEM)characterization.The promoting activity in transfer-hydrogenation by the SMSI effect of Cu-silica interface and the synergistic active roles of cluster and atomic Cu have also been revealed from surface interface structure,catalytic activity,and density functional theory(DFT)theoretical calculation at an atomic level.The subnanometric composite of cluster and atomic copper species can be derived from a facile synthesis strategy of metal-inert support SMSI effect and the realistic active site of Cu-based catalyst can also been identified accurately,thus it will help to expand the application of subnanometric materials in industrial catalysis.Ruoyu Fan Yange Zhang Zhi Hu Chun Chen Tongfei Shi Lirong Zheng Haimin Zhang Junfa Zhu Huijun Zhao Guozhong Wang 2021Nano Research2021,14,12:3
13Nitrogen doped FeS_(2) nanoparticles for efficient and stable hydrogen evolution reaction显示文摘Performance breakthrough of electrocatalysts highly relies on the regulation of internal structures and electronic states.In present work,for the first time,we successfully synthesized nitrogen doped FeS_(2) nanoparticles(N-FeS_(2))as the electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).The band structure and electronic state of FeS_(2) are modulated by a nitrogen doping strategy,as confirmed by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XAS)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations.Owing to the band structure and electronic state regulation as well as the weakening of H-S interaction,the designed N-FeS_(2) electrocatalyst exhibits superior catalytic performance with a low overpotential(~126 mV at 10 mA cm^(-2))and excellent activity stability under alkaline conditions,which is substantially improved as compared with that of the pure FeS_(2) counterpart.Our work demonstrates that the modulation of electron state and band structure of an electrocatalyst,which can provide a valuable guidance for designing excellent catalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction and beyond.Jian Ye Yipeng Zang Qingyu Wang Yida Zhang Da Sun Leijie Zhang Gongming Wang Xusheng Zheng Junfa Zhu 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,5:2
14Integrated multi-scheme digital modulations of spoof surface plasmon polaritons显示文摘The future wireless communications require different kinds of modulation functions to be integrated in a single intelligent device under different scenarios.Here,we propose a multi-scheme digital modulator to achieve this goal based on integrated spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SPP)in different frequency bands.By constructing switchable spoof SPP units,the propagating wave in the proposed spoof SPP waveguide can be manipulated in amplitude domain,frequency domain,and phase domain.As a proof of concept,the integrated multi-scheme digital modulator is experimentally verified to achieve at least three kinds of modulations,including amplitude shift keying,phase shift keying,and frequency shift keying,in a single digital spoof plasmonic waveguide.The simulated and measured results show that the modulator has excellent property of field confinement and is capable of frequency-domain modulation.Hence,the multi-scheme modulation property makes the proposed SPP digital modulator be an effective and reliable candidate for efficient manipulations of SPP waves and for advanced modulation technology.Lepeng ZHANG Haochi ZHANG Min TANG Peihang HE Lingyun NIU Liangliang LIU Jiayuan LU Wenxuan TANG Junfa MAO Tiejun CUI 2020Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,10:2
