| 1 | Integrated multi-scheme digital modulations of spoof surface plasmon polaritons显示文摘The future wireless communications require different kinds of modulation functions to be integrated in a single intelligent device under different scenarios.Here,we propose a multi-scheme digital modulator to achieve this goal based on integrated spoof surface plasmon polaritons(SPP)in different frequency bands.By constructing switchable spoof SPP units,the propagating wave in the proposed spoof SPP waveguide can be manipulated in amplitude domain,frequency domain,and phase domain.As a proof of concept,the integrated multi-scheme digital modulator is experimentally verified to achieve at least three kinds of modulations,including amplitude shift keying,phase shift keying,and frequency shift keying,in a single digital spoof plasmonic waveguide.The simulated and measured results show that the modulator has excellent property of field confinement and is capable of frequency-domain modulation.Hence,the multi-scheme modulation property makes the proposed SPP digital modulator be an effective and reliable candidate for efficient manipulations of SPP waves and for advanced modulation technology. | Lepeng ZHANG Haochi ZHANG Min TANG Peihang HE Lingyun NIU Liangliang LIU Jiayuan LU Wenxuan TANG Junfa MAO Tiejun CUI | 2020 | Science China(Information Sciences)2020,63,10: | 2 |

| 15 | Evaluation Model and Method of Margin in Electromagnetic Environmental Effects for Complex Systems显示文摘Margin is an important index in the control of Electromagnetic environmental effects(E3) and Electromagnetic compatibility(EMC) design for systems.How to define and verify the E3 margins of complex systems such as ships and airplanes is a difficult problem.A new method of system-level E3 margin evaluation is proposed. Based on the theory of fault tree, the evaluation model of system-level margin is constructed.The complex system function is transformed into the equipment and subsystem that affect the function, and the relationship between margin of system-level and equipment is established. The change from margin of equipment to system-level margin is realized. According to the action process of Electromagnetic environment(EME), the verification and evaluation methods of EME domain, response domain and effect domain are put forward. The margin calculation formula of EME domain and typical electromagnetic energy coupling response are deduced. The problem of margin evaluation for equipment under different input parameters is solved. A typical application example is given. The verification test scheme is designed. The methods of electromagnetic energy radiation and injection are adopted. The system-level margin is analyzed by the data obtained from the effective test verification. | 17 | Low-loss wide-bandwidth planar transmission line with a laminated conductor显示文摘In this paper,the laminated conductor technology is first introduced to planar-integrated transmission lines.The laminated conductor is composed of multilayers of metal and insulator,which has a lower conductor loss than a solid conductor.Based on the silicon-based micro electromechanical system technology,a laminated coplanar waveguide(CPW)with wide bandwidth and low loss is proposed,which uses a laminated conductor for signal lines and grounds.A laminated CPW and its transition are designed,fabricated,and measured.The simulation results show that the laminated CPW with many insulator layers has a low conductor loss.The measurement results illustrate that the average insertion loss of the laminated CPW is0.65 d B from DC to 40 GHz,which is 44.4%smaller than that of the solid CPW. | Ken NING Xiao-Chun LI Yan SHAO Junfa MAO | 2023 | Science China(Information Sciences)2023,66,5: | 0 |
