2Sirt1-ROS-TRAF6 Signaling-Induced Pyroptosis Contributes to Early Injury in Ischemic Mice显示文摘Stroke is an acute cerebro-vascular disease with high incidence and poor prognosis,most commonly ischemic in nature.In recent years,increasing attention has been paid to inflammatory reactions as symptoms of a stroke.However,the role of inflammation in stroke and its underlying mechanisms require exploration.In this study,we evaluated the inflammatory reactions induced by acute ischemia and found that pyroptosis occurred after acute ischemia both in vivo and in vitro,as determined by interleukin-1β,apoptosis-associated speck-like protein,and caspase-1.The early inflammation resulted in irreversible ischemic injury,indicating that it deserves thorough investigation.Meanwhile,acute ischemia decreased the Sirtuin 1(Sirtl)protein levels,and increased the TRAF6(TNF receptor associated factor 6)protein and reactive oxygen species(ROS)levels.In further exploration,both Sirtl suppression and TRAF6 activation were found to contribute to this pyroptosis.Reduced Sirtl levels were responsible for the production of ROS and increased TRAF6 protein levels after ischemic exposure.Moreover,N-acetyl-L-cysteine,an ROS scavenger,suppressed the TRAF6 accumulation induced by oxygen-glucose deprivation via suppression of ROS bursts.These phenomena indicate that Sirtl is upstream of ROS,and ROS bursts result in increased TRAF6 levels.Further,the activation of Sirtl during the period of ischemia reduced ischemiainduced injury after 72 h of reperfusion in mice with middle cerebral artery occlusion.In sum,these results indicate that pyroptosis-dependent machinery contributes to the neural injury during acute ischemia via the Sirt1-ROS-TRAF6 signaling pathway.We propose that inflammatory reactions occur soon after oxidative stress and are detrimental to neuronal survival;this provides a promising therapeutic target against ischemic injuries such as a stroke.Weijie Yan Wei Sun Jiahui Fan Haiqing Wang Song Han Junfa Li Yanling Yin 2020Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,8:9
3Study on liquid-liquid bimetal composite casting hammers显示文摘Crusher hammers for the mineral processing industry must meet the demands of both high wear resistance at the hammer head and high impact toughness at the hammer handle. The crusher hammers made of Hadfield steel have typically low service life of less than 40 hours. To solve the problem, a kind of bimetal crusher hammers made of high chromium cast iron(HCCI) and low alloy steel(LAS) has been successfully developed by using liquid-liquid composite casting. The microstructure and composite interface bonding was analyzed using optical microscope, SEM, EDX and XRD. Micrographs indicate that the composite interface is metallurgically bonded with a zigzag shape across the boundary and without unbound region or void. After heat treatment, the composite hammers have shown excellent properties. The hardness of HCCI is at least 63 HRC and its αk is greater than 3.5 J·cm-2; the hardness of LAS is greater than 35 HRC and its αk is no less than 80 J·cm-2. Diffusion of elements takes place at the interface and forms a transition region. The micro hardness increases from LAS to the interface and then to HCCI. Wear comparison was made separately between the bimetal composite hammer and a Hadfield steel hammer in two quarries of Jilin province and Liaoning province. 4Voussoir beam model for lower strong roof strata movement in longwall mining - Case study显示文摘The paper presents the influence of varying immediate roof thickness on the lower strong roof strata movement and failure pattern in longwall coal mining with large mining height. The investigation is based on 58 geological drill holes and hydraulic shield pressure measurements around the longwall Panel 42105 of the Buertai Mine in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. The longwall Panel 42105 is characterized by relatively soft immediate roof strata of varying thickness superposed by strong strata,herein defined as lower strong roof. A voussoir beam model is adopted to interpret the structural movement of the lower strong roof strata and shield pressure measurements. It is shown that when the immediate roof is relatively thick, the broken overlying lower strong roof tends to form a stable voussoir beam with previously broken layer, thus not exerting high pressure on the hydraulic shield and working face. When the immediate roof is relatively thin, the broken overlying lower strong roof tends to behave as a cantilever beam, thus exerting higher pressure on the hydraulic shield and working face. 5Study on Thermal Simulation of Solidification in Heavy Section Ductile Iron显示文摘Using an artificial intelligent instrument and a computer feedback control method, a new thermal simulation systemis studied. Based on numerical simulation of casting solidification, a sample in the new system successfully simulatedthe solidification of heavy section ductile iron. The results show that the new thermal simulation system is accurateand reliable. Not only cooling curve but also graphite in the center of the thermal sample and the heavy sectionductile iron is identical. 16BICAO-induced ischaemia caused depressive-like behaviours and caspase-8/-9-dependent brain regional neural cell apoptosis in mice显示文摘Introduction Cerebral ischaemia-induced depression is among the most frequent neuropsychiatric consequences and adversely impact the prognosis and recovery of patients.Although several brain regions have been implied in the development of ischaemia-induced depression,the brain region-specific neural cell apoptosis pathways have not been clarified yet.Methods In this study,bilateral internal carotid artery occlusion(BICAO)mouse model was established to induce cerebral ischaemia.Sucrose preference,tail suspension and forced swim tests were conducted on mice at 7,21 and 30 days after BICAO treatment.In addition,brain regional ischaemic neuron loss was investigated by using immunofluorescent staining of neuronal nuclei(NeuN)and caspase-8/-9-dependent cell apoptosis was also examined by western blot analysis.results BICAO-induced cerebral ischaemia resulted in decreased sucrose preference and increased immobility times,which were representative depressive-like behaviours of mice until 30 days after BICAO treatment compared with Sham-operated mice.This outcome was associated with significant neuron loss by using immunofluorescent staining and increased cleavage levels of pro-caspase-3/-8/-9,but not pro-caspase-12,by western blot analysis in hypothalamus,midbrain,prefrontal cortex and hippocampus of mice.Conclusions This study showed that BICAO-induced ischaemia caused depressive-like behaviours and caspase-8/-9-dependent neural cell apoptosis in several brain regions,including hypothalamus and midbrain of mice.Shuiqiao Liu Song Han Qingqing Dai Shujuan Li Junfa Li 2018Stroke & Vascular Neurology2018,3,1:1
17Engineering the morphology and electronic structure of atomic cobalt-nitrogen-carbon catalyst with highly accessible active sites for enhanced oxygen reduction显示文摘The stabilization of non-precious metals as isolated active sites with high loading density over nitrogendoped carbon materials is essential for realizing the industrial application of single atom catalysts.However,achieving high loading of single cobalt active sites with greatly enhanced oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity and stability remains challenging.Here,an efficient approach was described to create a single atom cobalt electrocatalyst(Co SAs/NC)which possesses enhanced mesoporosity and specific surface area that greatly favor the mass transportation and exposure of accessible active sites.The electronic structure of the catalyst by the strong metal-support interaction has been elucidated through experimental characterizations and theoretical calculations.Due to dramatically enhanced mass transport and electron transfer endowed by morphology and electronic structure engineering,Co SAs/NC exhibits remarkable ORR performance with excellent activity(onset and half-wave potentials of 1.04 V(RHE)and 0.90 V(RHE),Tafel slope of 69.8 mV dec^(-1)and J_(k) of 18.8 mA cm^(-2)at 0.85 V)and stability(7 mV activity decay after 10,000 cycles).In additio n,the catalyst demonstrates great promise as an alternative to traditional Pt/C catalyst in zinc-air batteries while maintaining high performance in terms of high specific capacity of(796.1 mAh/g_(Zn)),power density(175.4 mW/cm^(2)),and long-term cycling stability(140 h).This study presents a facile approach to design SACs with highly accessible active sites for electrochemical transformations.Zhijun Li Leipeng Leng Siqi Ji Mingyang Zhang Hongxue Liu Jincheng Gao Jiangwei Zhang J.Hugh Horton Qian Xu Junfa Zhu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,10:1

20Alkali ion-promoted palladium subnanoclusters stabilized on porous alumina nanosheets with enhanced catalytic activity for benzene oxidation显示文摘Catalytic C−H bond activation is one of the backbones of the chemical industry.Supported metal subnanoclusters consisting of a few atoms have shown attractive properties for heterogeneous catalysis.However,the creation of such catalyst systems with high activity and excellent anti-sintering ability remains a grand challenge.Here,we report on alkali ion-promoted Pd subnanoclusters supported over defectiveγ-Al_(2)O_(3) nanosheets,which display exceptional catalytic activity for C−H bond activation in the benzene oxidation reaction.The presence of Pd subnanoclusters is verified by aberration-corrected high-angle annular dark-field scanning transmission electron microscopy,X-ray absorption spectroscopy,and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy.This catalyst shows excellent catalytic activity,with a turnover frequency of 280 h^(−1) and yield of 98%,in benzene oxidation reaction to give phenol under mild conditions.Moreover,the introduction of alkali ion greatly retards the diffusion and migration of metal atoms when tested under high-temperature sintering conditions.Density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the addition of alkali ion to Pd nanoclusters can significantly impact the catalyst’s structure and electronic properties,and eventually promote its activity and stability.This work sheds light on the facile and scalable synthesis of highly active and stable catalyst systems with alkali additives for industrially important reactions.Zhijun Li Minghui Di Wei Wei Leipeng Leng Zhijun Li Cheng He Qiang Tan Qian Xu J.Hugh Horton Li Li Junfa Zhu 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:1
