1长爪沙鼠的遗传多样性分析显示文摘利用17个微卫星DNA标记对Z:ZCLA长爪沙鼠封闭群、野生群和近交系进行遗传多样性分析,评估群体内的遗传变异和群体间的遗传分化。结果表明:在Z:ZCLA封闭群和野生群中共有9个微卫星DNA标记获得稳定的结果,分别为AF200940、AF200941、AF200942、AF200945、AF200946、AF200947、D11Mit128、PKC和SCN,共检测到41个等位基因,每个基因的等位基因数从1~7不等,片段大小在120~283bp之间,所有位点的平均期望杂合度(He)和多态信息含量(PIC)值分别为0.5032和0.4656,Z:ZCLA封闭群和野生群9个微卫星位点平均有效等位基因数分别为2.78和2.89,平均基因杂合度分别为0.3704和0.3893,平均多态信息含量分别为0.3256和0.3344,两个群体都表现为中度多态,Z:ZCLA封闭群较野生群稍低;在3个近交系中共有8个位点获得稳定的扩增结果,分别为AF200941、AF200942、AF200945、AF200946、AF200947、D11Mit128、PKC和SCN,共检测到11个等位基因,片段大小在140~241bp之间,其中5个位点在群体内表现为单态纯合,3个位点在群体内表现为单态杂合,所有位点在群体内和群体间均呈单态性,表明这3个长爪沙鼠品系基本符合近交系的要求,微卫星标记技术适用于近交系长爪沙鼠的遗传检测。丁贤明 钱宝珍 Matsuda Junichiro Koura Minako 萨晓婴 施张奎 2008遗传2008,30,7:16
2Machine-learning-assisted discovery of polymers with high thermal conductivity using a molecular design algorithm显示文摘The use of machine learning in computational molecular design has great potential to accelerate the discovery of innovative materials.However,its practical benefits still remain unproven in real-world applications,particularly in polymer science.We demonstrate the successful discovery of new polymers with high thermal conductivity,inspired by machine-learning-assisted polymer chemistry.This discovery was made by the interplay between machine intelligence trained on a substantially limited amount of polymeric properties data,expertise from laboratory synthesis and advanced technologies for thermophysical property measurements.Using a molecular design algorithm trained to recognize quantitative structure—property relationships with respect to thermal conductivity and other targeted polymeric properties,we identified thousands of promising hypothetical polymers.From these candidates,three were selected for monomer synthesis and polymerization because of their synthetic accessibility and their potential for ease of processing in further applications.The synthesized polymers reached thermal conductivities of 0.18–0.41 W/mK,which are comparable to those of state-of-the-art polymers in non-composite thermo-plastics.Stephen Wu Yukiko Kondo Masa-aki Kakimoto Bin Yang Hironao Yamada Isao Kuwajima Guillaume Lambard Kenta Hongo Yibin Xu Junichiro Shiomi Christoph Schick Junko Morikawa Ryo Yoshida 2019npj Computational Materials2019,,1:14
3Characteristics of gas evolution profiles during coal pyrolysis and its relation with the variation of functional groups显示文摘Strict relation between the substituents or functional groups attached to the coal macromolecules and the generation of the volatile products, e.g., CH4 H2O, CO, CO2, etc., during the coal pyrolysis is an important but confusing subject. In this paper, quadrupole mass spectronletry, gas chromatography, and ^l3C nuclear magnetic resonance are applied to real-time monitoring the formations of volatile products, off-line quantitative determination of the total products from the pyrolysis of a sub-bituminous coal (SC), and the changes of diverse substitents in the SC along with coke foamation, respectively. These measurements are also performed for the pyrolysis of a caking coal to contrast SC. The qualitative and quantitative data reveal that, during coal pyrolysis, the functional groups related with the formation of CO, i.e., ether, carbonyl, and anhydride, can directly gen erate CO via bond breaking, or take a detour of the formation of other intermediates via condensation and recombination firstly. 4Nomograms for colorectal cancer:A systematic review显示文摘AIM: To assist in the selection of suitable nomograms for obtaining desired predictions in daily clinicalpractice.METHODS: We conducted electronic searches for journal articles on colorectal cancer(CRC)-associated nomograms using the search terms colon/rectal/colorectal/nomogram. Of 174 articles initially found, we retrieved 28 studies in which a nomogram for CRC was developed.RESULTS: We discuss the currently available CRCassociated nomograms, including those that predict the oncological prognosis, the short-term outcome of treatments, such as surgery or neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy, and the future development of CRC. Developing nomograms always presents a dilemma. On the one hand, the desire to cover as wide a patient range as possible tends to produce nomograms that are too complex and yet have C-indexes that are not sufficiently high. 5Effect of herbal medicine Juzentaihoto on hepatic and intestinal heat shock gene expression requires intestinal microflora in mouse显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the role of intestinal microflora in the effects of multi-herbal medicine on gene expression in the gut and liver. METHODS: The multi-herbal medicine Juzentaihoto (JTX) was administered to five germ-free mice and regular mice for 2 wk. Among the results of the comprehensive gene chip analysis of the intestine and liver, we featured heat shock proteins (HSPs) 70 and 105 because their gene expression changed only in the presence of microflora. Real-time RT-PCR was performed to confirm the expression levels of these HSP genes. To determine whether JTX acts directly on the HSP genes, sodium arsenite (SA) was used to induce the heat shock proteins directly. To examine the change of the intestinal microflora with administration of JTX, the terminal restriction fragment polymorphism (T-RFLP) method was used. To identify the changed bacteria, DNA sequencing was performed. RESULTS: Heat shock protein gene expression,documented by gene chip and real-time RT-PCR, changed with the administration of JTX in the regular mice but not in the germ-free mice. JTX did not suppress the direct induction of the HSPs by SA. T-RFLP suggested that JTX decreased unculturable bacteria and increased Lactobacillus johnsoni. These data suggested that JTX changed the intestinal microflora which, in turn, changed HSP gene expression. 6Serum Neutrophil Gelatinase-associated Lipocalin(NGAL)Is Elevated in Patients with Asthma and Airway Obstruction显示文摘Neutrophilic airway inflammation is one of the features of severe asthma.Neutrophil gelatinase-associated lipocalin(NGAL),or lipocalin-2,is a glycoprotein associated with neutrophilic inflammation and can be detected in blood.Recently,blood NGAL levels have been reported to be elevated in chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.However,the clinical significance of serum NGAL levels in patients with asthma has not been elucidated.The aim of this study was to explore the association between serum NGAL level and clinical parameters in patients with asthma.Sixty.one non-smoking people with stable asthma were enrolled in this study.All patients underwent blood ollction and pulmonary function tests.The associations between serum NGAL levels and clinical parameters were analyzed retrospectively.Serum NGAL levels in patients with asthma and obstructive ventilatory defect were higher than those in patients with asthma without obstructive ventilatory defect(76.4±51.4 ng/mL vs.39.3±27.4 ng/mL,P=0.0019).Serum NGAL levels were correlated with forced expired flow at 50%of vital capacity%predicted and forced expired flow at 75%of vital capacity%predicted(r=-0.3373,P=0.0078 and r=0.2900,P=0.0234,respectively).Results of a multiple regression analysis demonstrated that serum NGAL level was independently associated with obstructive ventilatory defect.Serum NGAL levels were elevated in patients with asthma and obstructive ventilatory defect.NGAL may be involved in airway remodeling possibly mediated by neutrophilic inflammation in asthma.Junichiro Kawagoe Yuta Kono Yuki Togashi Mayuko Ishiwari Kazutoshi Toriyama Chika Yajima Hideaki Nakayama Satoshi Kasagi Shinji Abe Yasuhiro Setoguchi 2021Current Medical Science2021,41,2:5

8Breakthrough therapy for peritoneal carcinomatosis of gastric cancer:Intraperitoneal chemotherapy with taxanes显示文摘The effect of chemotherapy on peritoneal carcinomatosis(PC) of gastric cancer remains unclear.Recently,the intraperitoneal(IP) administration of taxanes [e.g.,paclitaxel(PTX) and docetaxel(DOC)] during the perioperative period has shown promising results.Herein,we summarized the rationale and methodology for using IP chemotherapy with taxanes and reviewed the clinical results.IP administered taxanes remain in the IP space at an extremely high concentration for 48-72 h.The drug directly infiltrates peritoneal metastatic nodules from the surface and then produces antitumor effects,making it ideal for IP chemotherapy.There are two types of perioperative IP chemotherapy with taxanes: neoadjuvant intraperitoneal and systemic chemotherapy and sequential perioperative intraperitoneal chemotherapy(SPIC).In SPIC,patients receive neoadjuvant IP chemotherapy and the same regimen of IP chemotherapy after cytoreductive surgery(CRS) until disease progression.Usually,a taxane dissolved in 500-1000 m L of saline at ordinary temperature is administered through an IP access port on an outpatient basis.According to phase Ⅰ?studies,the recommended doses(RD) are as follows: IP DOC,45-60 mg/m2; IP PTX [without intravenous(IV) PTX],80 mg/m2; and IP PTX(with IV PTX),20 mg/m2.Phase Ⅱ studies have reported a median survival time of 14.4-24.6 mo with a 1-year overall survival of 67%-78%.A phase Ⅲ study comparing S-1 in combination with IP and IV PTX to S-1 with IV cisplatin started in 2011.The prognosis of patients who underwent CRS was better than that of those who did not; however,this was partly due to selection bias.Although several phase Ⅱ studies have shown promising results,a randomized controlled study is needed to validate the effectiveness of IP chemotherapy with taxanes for PC of gastric cancer.Hironori Yamaguchi Joji Kitayama Hironori Ishigami Shinsuke Kazama Hiroaki Nozawa Kazushige Kawai Keisuke Hata Tomomichi Kiyomatsu Toshiaki Tanaka Junichiro Tanaka Takeshi Nishikawa Kensuke Otani Koji Yasuda Soichiro Ishihara Eiji Sunami Toshiaki Watanabe 2015World Journal of Gastrointestinal Oncology2015,7,11:3
9Intestinal anisakiasis can cause intussusception in adults:An extremely rare condition显示文摘We report an extremely rare case of adult intussusception caused by anisakiasis. A 41-year-old man was admitted into our hospital for right lower abdominal colicky pain. Ultrasonography and computed tomography revealed the presence of intussusception. As pneumodynamic resolution by colonoscopy failed, surgery was performed. The anisakis body was found in the submucosal layer of the resection specimen. The patient was discharged 9 d after the operation. Anisakiasis may cause intussusception in any country where sushi or sashimi now exists as a popular food. 11TTF-1 is useful for primary site determination in duodenal metastasis显示文摘We report here on a case of duodenal metastasis from primary lung adenocarcinoma. A 69-year old man was diagnosed with primary lung adenocarcinoma. Four courses of combined chemotherapy with carboplatin and paclitaxel associated with irradiation of 60 Gy shrunk the lung tumor. However, soon after,the para-aortic lymph node became swollen. Esophagogastroduodenoscopy revealed three duodenal tumors. Differential diagnosis between malignant lymphoma and metastatic duodenal cancer was endoscopically difficult. The histology of biopsied specimens was poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma. Immunohistochemical analysis revealed a positive reaction for thyroid transcription factor-1 (TTF-1). Thus, we concluded that these were metastatic duodenal tumors from lung adenocarcinoma. Two courses of gemcitabine led to a complete remission in this duodenal metastasisand para-aortic lymph node swelling with only scarring remaining in computed tomography. He is now on the continuous generalized chemotherapy. In conclusion, duodenal metastasis from primary lung adenocarcinoma is rare and hard to diagnose. 14RadonPy:automated physical property calculation using all-atom classical molecular dynamics simulations for polymer informatics显示文摘The spread of data-driven materials research has increased the need for systematically designed materials property databases.However,the development of polymer databases has lagged far behind other material systems.We present RadonPy,an open-source library that can automate the complete process of all-atom classical molecular dynamics(MD)simulations applicable to a wide variety of polymeric materials.Herein,15 different properties were calculated for more than 1000 amorphous polymers.The MD-calculated properties were systematically compared with experimental data to validate the calculation conditions;the bias and variance in the MD-calculated properties were successfully calibrated by a machine learning technique.During the high-throughput data production,we identified eight amorphous polymers with extremely high thermal conductivity(>0.4 W∙m^(–1)∙K^(–1))and their underlying mechanisms.Similar to the advancement of materials informatics since the advent of computational property databases for inorganic crystals,database construction using RadonPy will promote the development of polymer informatics.Yoshihiro Hayashi Junichiro Shiomi Junko Morikawa Ryo Yoshida 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:2

18Study on an Undershot Cross-Flow Water Turbine显示文摘This study aims to develop a water turbine suitable for ultra-low heads in open channels, with the end goal being the effective utilization of unutilized hydroelectric energy in agricultural water channels. We performed tests by applying a cross-flow runner to an open channel as an undershot water turbine while attempting to simplify the structure and eliminate the casing. We experimentally investigated the flow fields and performance of water turbines in states where the flow rate was constant for the undershot cross-flow water turbine mentioned above. In addition, we compared existing undershot water turbines with our undershot cross-flow water turbine after attaching a bottom plate to the runner. From the results, we were able to clarify the following. Although the effective head for cross-flow runners with no bottom plate was lower than those found in existing runners equipped with a bottom plate, the power output is greater in the high rotational speed range because of the high turbine efficiency. Also, the runner with no bottom plate differed from runners that had a bottom plate in that no water was being wound up by the blades or retained between the blades, and the former received twice the flow due to the flow-through effect.
