2Effects of swirler position on flame response and combustion instabilities显示文摘This study is concerned with the experimental and theoretical investigation of the combustion instabilities in a premixed swirl combustor.It is focused on the effects of the swirl mixing distance on the intrinsic thermoacoustic mode.The swirler as an origin of the swirling flow is also the source of the flow disturbance,which has effects on the flame response.The location of the swirler is varied in the experiment to study the effect on combustion instabilities and flame transfer functions.A low order model is built to analyze the thermoacoustic instabilities of the combustion system.The experimental results show that the ITA switches from an unstable state to a stable state as the swirl mixing distance changes with an increment of 15 mm;while the instability of the quarter-wave mode is not varied.The measured Flame Transfer Functions(FTFs)show that the gain curves of the frequency-dependent FTFs seem to be stretched or compressed with the modulation of the swirler position,which has effects on frequencies and instabilities of thermoacoustic modes.With the low order model,the effects of flame response on combustion instabilities are analyzed and the flame dominant nature of the ITA mode is confirmed.Liangliang XU Jianyi ZHENG Guoqing WANG Lei LI Fei QI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3:2
3Study on Plasticity Modification for Measuring High Residual Stress by Hole-Drilling Method显示文摘Hole-drilling method is a commonly used method for measuring residual stress. The calibration coefficients in ASTM E837-13 a would cause large errors due to the plasticity deformation of materials. In the study, calibration coefficients were modified in the plasticity deformation stage based on the distortion energy theory. The calibration experiment of calibration coefficients was simulated by the finite element model, and the plasticity modification formulas of 7075 aluminum alloy were obtained. From the results of uniaxial tensile loading test, the measuring errors of high residual stress are significantly reduced from-4.071%~53.440% to-5.140% ~ 0.609% after the plasticity modification. 4Shape-induced phase transition of vortex domain structures in ferroelectric nanodots and their controllability by electrical and mechanical loads显示文摘Shape-induced phase transition of vortex domain structures(VDSs)in BaTiO_3(BT)nanodots under open circuit boundary condition have been investigated using an effective Hamiltonian method.Our calculation indicates the tetragonal VDS missing in cubic BT nanodots can be induced by varying the shape of a nanodot from cube to platelet.Interestingly,a novel VDS is found in BT nanoplatelets in our simulations.Further investigation shows that it is a result of compromise between the ground state and the symmetry of the shape of the nanodot.Furthermore,based on the novel VDS,routes of controlling VDSs governed by homogeneous electric field and uniform stress are discussed.In particular,our results show the possibility of designing multi-states devices based on a single VDS.Jianyi Liu Weijin Chen Yue Zheng 2017Theoretical & Applied Mechanics Letters2017,7,2:1

9Controlling polar-toroidal multi-order states in twisted ferroelectric nanowires显示文摘The toroidal order of electric dipoles in ferroelectric materials has attracted attention in the past decade due to fascinating properties and great potential for enabling novel memory devices,and functional devices in general.However,facile manipulation of toroidal order in ferroelectrics remains challenging.Here,using first-principles derived simulations,we demonstrate an efficient scheme to control the polar-toroidal multi-order(PTMO)states in ferroelectric nanowires.Two feasible strategies of controlling PTMO states by a combination of homogeneous electric field and torque are carried out in ferroelectric/paraelectric composite nanowires.This is possible based on trilinear coupling between polarization,toroidization and the twist force.As a result,switching of the toroidization of the nanowire can be readily achieved by reversal of the axial polarization.The torque threshold needed to control PTMO states is also calculated and found to be relatively small,indicating the feasibility of this method.Our study demonstrates facile control of PTMO states,including ferroelectric skyrmions,in ferroelectrics and is a step towards designing ferroelectric devices based on multi-order states.Jianyi Liu Ye Ji Shuai Yuan Lili Ding Weijin Chen Yue Zheng 2018npj Computational Materials2018,,1:0

11Bidirectional mechanical switching window in ferroelectric thin films predicted by first-principle-based simulations显示文摘Mechanical control of ferroelectric domain evolution has attracted much interest over the past decade.Nevertheless,bidirectional 180°mechanical switching,i.e.,a complete cycle of mechanical writing and then erasing of a ferroelectric nanodomain,has not yet been realized in tip-film architectures.Here,via first-principles-based molecular dynamics simulations,we demonstrate that bidirectional 180°mechanical switching is possible in tip-film architectures when screening condition of ferroelectric films and tip loading force are within an appropriate window.The switching utilizes a delicate competition between the flexoelectric field and an overlooked effective dipolar field.The effective dipolar field dominates at small tip force and trigger switching from a downward single-domain state to an upward poly-domain state,whereas the flexoelectric field dominates at relatively large tip force and enables a back-switching.Bidirectional mechanical switching is achieved by applying tip force pulses with alternatively varying strength.The dipole-dipole interaction dynamics play important roles in mechanical switching.Jianyi Liu Weijin Chen Mengjun Wu Fei Sun Xiang Huang Yue Zheng 2022npj Computational Materials2022,,1:0

15Surface Functionalization of PEO Nanofibers Using a TiO_(2) Suspension as Sheath Fluid in a Modified Coaxial Electrospinning Process显示文摘Convenient and integration fabrication process is a key issue for the application of functional nanofibers.A surface functionalization method was developed based on coaxial electrospinning to produce ultraviolet(UV)protection nanofibers.The titanium dioxide(TiO_(2))nanoparticles suspension was delivered through the shell channel of the coaxial spinneret,by which the aggregation of TiO_(2) nanoparticles was overcome and the distribution uniformity on the surface of polyethylene oxide(PEO)nanofiber was obtained.With the content of TiO_(2) increasing from 0 to 3%(mass fraction),the average diameter of nanofibers increased from(380±30)nm to(480±100)nm.The surface functionalization can be realized during the electrospinning process to gain PEO/TiO_(2) composite nanofibers directly.The uniform distribution of TiO_(2) nanoparticles on the surface of nanofibers enhanced the UV absorption and resistance performance.The maximum UV protection factor(UPF)value of composite nanofibers reaches 2751.This work presented a novel surface-functionalized way for the preparation of composite nanofiber,which has great application potential in the field of micro/nano system integration fabrication.ZHENG Gaofeng PENG Hao JIANG Jiaxin KANG Guoyi LIU Juan ZHENG Jianyi LIU Yifang 2021Chemical Research in Chinese Universities2021,37,3:0
