1Adsorption behavior of phosphate on Lanthanum(Ⅲ) doped mesoporous silicates material显示文摘A series of lanthanum doped meosoporous MCM-41(LaxM41,x is Si/La molar ratio) was prepared by sol-gel method.The surface structure of the materials was investigated with X-ray diffraction and N2 adsorption/desorption technique.The content of La in the materials was determined by ICP.It was found that the La content of La25M41,La50M41 and La100M41 was 7.53%,3.89% and 2.32%,respectively.The phosphate adsorption capacities increased with increasing amount of La incorporation.With 0.40 g La25M41 99.7% phosphate could be removed.The effects of Si/La molar ratio,LaxM41 dose,pH,initial concentration of phosphate solution,co-ions on phosphate adsorption were also evaluated.The phosphate adsorption kinetics of LaxM41 could be well-described by the pseudo second-order model,and Langmuir isotherm fit equilibrium data much better than the Freundlich isotherm.Jianda Zhang Zhemin Shen Wenpo Shan Ziyan Chen Zhijian Mei Yangming Lei Wenhua Wang 2010Journal of Environmental Sciences2010,22,4:18
2Metal chlorides loaded on activated carbon to capture elemental mercury显示文摘Activated carbon (AC) was considered to be an effective sorbent to control mercury in combustion systems. However, its capture capacity was low and it required a high carbon-to-mercury mass ratio. AC loaded with catalyst showed a high elemental mercury (Hg 0 ) capture capacity due to large surface area of AC and high oxidization ability of catalyst. In this study, several metal chlorides and metal oxides were used to promote the sorption capacity of AC. As a result, metal chlorides were better than metal oxides loaded on AC to remove gaseous mercury. X-ray diffractometer (XRD), thermogravimetric analyzer (TGA) and specific surface area by Brunauer- Emmett-Teller method (BET) analysis showed the main mechanisms: first, AC had an enormous surface area for loading enough MClx; second, Cl and MxOy were generated during pyrogenation of MClx; finally, there were lots of active elements such as Cl and MxOy which could react with elemental mercury and convert it to mercury oxide and mercury chloride. The HgO and HgCl 2 might be released from AC's porous structure by thermo regeneration. A catalytic chemisorption mechanism predominates the sorption process of elemental mercury. As Co and Mn were valence variable metal elements, their catalytic effect on Hg 0 oxidization may accelerate both oxidation and halogenation of Hg 0 . 3Control techniques of tilt rotor unmanned aerial vehicle systems: A review显示文摘The tilt rotor unmanned aerial vehicle(TRUAV) exhibits special application value due to its unique rotor structure. However, varying dynamics and aerodynamic interference caused by tiltable rotors are great technical challenges and key issues for TRUAV's high-powered flight controls, which have attracted the attention of many researchers. This paper outlines the concept of TRUAV and some typical TRUAV platforms while focusing on control techniques. 5STUDY ON SENSOR-BASED CONTROL METHOD FOR HARMONIC DRIVE SYSTEM显示文摘A new type of robust traje ctory tracking control for harmonic using joint torque sensor and joint acceleration sensor information is concerned with.Joint torque sensor information is used to compensate the uncertainty of link and load parameters. Joint acceleration feedback control will enhace the robustness of the driving system, resist the dynamic uncertainties and disturbing torque acted on the joint axis within definite bandwidth, improve the joint tracking performance, and resist the vibration of the load side of the harmonic drive system. 6Simple PID Parameter Tuning Method Based on Outputs of the Closed Loop System显示文摘Most of the existing PID parameters tuning methods are only effective with pre-known accurate system models, which often require some strict identification experiments and thus infeasible for many complicated systems. Actually, in most practical engineering applications, it is desirable for the PID tuning scheme to be directly based on the input-output response of the closed-loop system. Thus, a new parameter tuning scheme for PID controllers without explicit mathematical model is developed in this paper. The paper begins with a new frequency domain properties analysis of the PID controller. After that, the definition of characteristic frequency for the PID controller is given in order to study the mathematical relationship between the PID parameters and the open-loop frequency properties of the controlled system. Then, the concepts of M-field and θ-field are introduced, which are then used to explain how the PID control parameters influence the closed-loop frequency-magnitude property and its time responses. Subsequently, the new PID parameter tuning scheme, i.e., a group of tuning rules, is proposed based on the preceding analysis. Finally, both simulations and experiments are conducted, and the results verify the feasibility and validity of the proposed methods. 7Outcomes in refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma:results fromamulticenter real-world study in China显示文摘Background:Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)patients refractory to rituximab-based immunochemotherapy have a dismal prognosis.However,the definition of refractory DLBCL remains inconsistent and no large cohort study data is available from Asian countries.To validate the definition and outcomes of refractory DLBCL in China,we conducted a multicenter,retrospective cohort study.Methods:The REtrospective AnaLysis of Treatment REspoNse of refractory DLBCL(REAL-TREND)study was performed using real-world data from 8 centers in China.DLBCL patients with curative intent were included in the REAL-TREND dataset.Overall survival(OS)was estimated using the Kaplan-Meier method and compared by the log-rank test.Due to heterogeneity in response rates among different centers,the response rates of refractory patients were pooled using random-effect models.Multivariate survival analysis was performed using the Cox regression model.Results:A total of 2778 DLBCL patients diagnosed between January,2010 and December,2015 were enrolled to this study.After validating previous definitions,the SCHOLAR-1 study was most suitable to define refractory DLBCL.The estimated 5-year cumulative incidence of refractory patients was 20%(95% confidence Interval[CI]=18%-22%).After the determination of refractory disease,overall response rate and complete remission rate were 30%(95%CI=22%-38%)and 9%(95%CI=4%-15%),respectively.Patients with either no response to immunochemotherapy or relapse within 12 months after stem-cell transplantation had inferior survival with a median OS of 5.9 months(95%CI=5.5-7.1 months)and 2-year OS rate of 16%(95%CI=12%-20%).International prognostic index score 4-5(hazard ratio[HR]=2.22;95%CI=1.47-3.35),central nervous systemrelapse(HR=1.43;95%CI=1.04-1.97),and best response status(HR=2.68;95%CI=1.42-5.03 for partial remission.HR=5.97,95%CI=3.21-11.11 for stable disease/progressive disease)were independent unfavorable prognostic factors.Conclusions:This is the first large-scale Asian cohort study focusing on outcomes of refractory DLBCL.The definition of the SCHOLAR-1 study identifies patients with homogenously inferior survival,thus is appropriate to select refractory DLBCL.Due to poor clinical outcomes in the rituximab era,patients with refractory DLBCL may be potential candidates for novel treatment modalities.Shuo Wang Li Wang Jianda Hu Wenbin Qian Xi Zhang Yu Hu Qi Zhu Bobin Chen Depei Wu Chung-Chou H.Chang Pengpeng Xu Xiaoyun Zheng Juying Wei Yao Liu Guohui Cui Yong Tang Yan Ma Haiwen Huang Hongmei Yi Weili Zhao 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,3:10
8Clinical risk score for invasive fungal diseases in patients with hematological malignancies undergoing chemotherapy:China Assessment of Antifungal Therapy in Hematological Diseases (CAESAR) study显示文摘Invasive fungal disease (IFD) is a major infectious complication in patients with hematological malignancies.In this study,we examined 4889 courses of chemotherapy in patients with hematological diseases to establish a training dataset (n=3500) by simple random sampling to develop a weighted risk score for proven or probable IFD through multivariate regression,which included the following variables: male patients,induction chemotherapy for newly diagnosed or relapsed disease,neutropenia,neutropenia longer than 10 days,hypoalbuminemia,central-venous catheter,and history of IFD.The patients were classified into three groups,which had low (0-10,~1.2%),intermediate (11-15,6.4%),and high risk (> 15,17.5%) of IFD.In the validation set (n=1389),the IFD incidences of the groups were ~1.4%,5.0%,and 21.4%.In addition,we demonstrated that antifungal prophylaxis offered no benefits in low-risk patients,whereas benefits were documented in intermediate (2.1% vs.6.6%,P=0.007) and high-risk patients (8.4% vs.23.3%,P=0.007).To make the risk score applicable for clinical settings,a pre-chemo risk score that deleted all unpredictable factors before chemotherapy was established,and it confirmed that anti-fungal prophylaxis was beneficial in patients with intermediate and high risk of IFD.In conclusion,an objective,weighted risk score for IFD was developed,and it may be useful in guiding antifungal prophylaxis.Ling Wang Ying Wang Jiong Hu Yuqian Sun He Huang Jing Chen Jianyong Li Jun Ma Juan Li Yingmin Liang Jianmin Wang Yan Li Kang Yu Jianda Hu Jie Jin Chun Wang Depei Wu Yang Xiao Xiaojun Huang 2019Frontiers of Medicine2019,13,3:10
9Long-term joint effect of nutrients and temperature increase on algal growth in Lake Taihu,China显示文摘To study how global warming and eutrophication affect water ecosystems,a multiplicative growth Monod model,modified by incorporating the Arrhenius equation,was applied to Lake Taihu to quantitatively study the relationships between algal biomass and both nutrients and temperature using long-term data.To qualitatively assess which factor was a limitation of the improved model,temperature variables were calculated using annual mean air temperature (AT),water temperature (WT),and their average temperature (ST),while substrate variables were calculated using annual mean total nitrogen (TN),total phosphorus (TP),and their weighted aggregate (R),respectively.The nine fitted curves showed that TN and AT were two important factors influencing algal growth;AT limited growth as algal photosynthesis is mainly carried out near the water surface;N leakage of phytoplankton and internal phosphorus load from sediment explains why TN was the best predictor of peak biomass using the Monod model.The fitted results suggest that annual mean algal biomass increased by 0.145 times when annual mean AT increased by 1.0°C.Results also showed that the more eutrophic the lake,the greater the effect AT had on algal growth.Subsequently,the long-term joint effect of annual temperature increase and eutrophication to water ecosystems can be quantitatively assessed and predicted.Chun Ye Zhemin Shen Tao Zhang Maohong Fan Yangming Lei Jianda Zhang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:9

11Rapid growth of a long-seed KDP crystal显示文摘To reduce the seed length while maintaining the advantages of the cuboid KDP-type crystal,a long-seed KDP crystal with size 471 mm×480 mm×400 mm is rapidly grown.With almost the same high cutting efficiency to obtain third harmonic generation oriented samples,this long-seed KDP-type crystal can be grown with a shorter seed than that of the cuboid KDP-type crystal.The full width at half maximum of the high-resolution X-ray diffraction of the(200)crystalline face is 28.8 arc seconds,indicating that the long-seed KDP crystal has good crystalline quality.In the wavelength range of 377–1022 nm,the transmittance of the long-seed KDP crystal is higher than 90%.The fluence for the 50%probability of laser-induced damage(LID)is 18.5 J/cm^2(3 ns,355 nm).Several test points survive when the laser fluence exceeds 30 J/cm^2(3 ns,355 nm),indicating the good LID performance of the long-seed KDP crystal.At present,the growth of a long-seed DKDP crystal is under way.Duanyang Chen Bin Wang Hu Wang Xiangyu Zhu Ziyuan Xu Yuanan Zhao Shenghao Wang Kaizao Ni Lili Zheng Hui Zhang Hongji Qi Jianda Shao 2020High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,1:5

13ONLINE MODEL AND ACTUATOR FAULT TOLERANT CONTROL FOR AUTONOMOUS MOBILE ROBOT显示文摘A novel fault-tolerant adaptive control methodology against the actuator faults is proposed. The actuator effectiveness factors (AEFs) are introduced to denote the healthy of actuator, and the unscented Kalman filter (UKF) is employed for online estimation of both the motion states and the AEFs of mobile robot. A square root version of the UKF is introduced to improve efficiency and numerical stability. Using the information from the UKF, the reconfigurable controller is designed automatically based on an enhancement inverse dynamic control (IDC) methodology. 14Removal of phosphate by Fe-coordinated amino-functionalized 3D mesoporous silicates hybrid materials显示文摘Phosphate removal from aqueous waste streams is an important approach to control the eutrophication downstream bodies of water.A Fe(III) coordinated amino-functionalized silicate adsorbent for phosphate adsorption was synthesized by a post-grafting and metal cation incorporation process.The surface structure of the adsorbent was characterized by X-ray diffraction,N2 adsoropion/desoprotion technique,and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy.The experimental results showed that the adsorption equilibrium data were well fitted to the Langmuir equation.The maximum adsorption capacity of the modified silicate material was 51.8 mg/g.The kinetic data from the adsorption of phosphate were fitted to pseudo second-order model.The phosphate adsorption was highly pH dependent and the relatively high removal of phosphate fell within the pH range 3.0-6.0.The coexistence of other anions in solutions has an adverse effect on phosphate adsorption;a decrease in adsorption capacity followed the order of exogenous anions:F > SO2-4 > NO-3 > Cl-.In addition,the adsorbed phosphate could be desorbed by NaOH solutions.This silicate adsorbent with a large adsorption capacity and relatively high selectivity could be utilized for the removal of phosphate from aqueous waste streams or in aquatic environment.Jianda Zhang Zhemin Shen Zhijian Mei Shanping Li Wenhua Wang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2:4
15Detection of collapsed buildings with the aerial images captured from UAV显示文摘In this paper, we present a method of detecting the collapsed buildings with the aerial images which are captured by an unmanned aerial vehicle(UAV) for the postseismic evaluation. Different from the conventional methods that apply the satellite images or the high-altitude UAV for the coarse disaster evaluation over large area, the purpose of this work is to achieve the accurate detection of collapsed buildings in small area from low altitude. By combining the motion and appearance features of collapsed buildings extracted from successive aerial images, each pixel in the input image will be measured by a statistical method where the background pixels will be penalized and the ones of collapsed buildings will be assigned with high value.The candidates of collapsed buildings will be established by integrating the extracted feature points into local groups with the online clustering algorithm. To reduce the false alarm caused by the complex background noise,each predicted candidate will be further verified by the temporal tracking framework where both the trajectory and the appearance of a candidate will be measured. The candidate of collapsed buildings that can survive through long time will be considered as true positive, otherwise rejected as a false alarm. 18sEMG based quantitative assessment of acupuncture on Bell's palsy:an experimental study显示文摘Acupuncture is a traditional Chinese therapeutic method, recognized by western medicine as an important complementary therapy. However, the efficacy assessment of this traditional intervention has been mainly empirical rather than scientific. In this paper, we propose a surface electromyography(s EMG) based approach for quantitative assessment of acupuncture on Bell's palsy. The assessment is made by comparing the muscle activities of healthy with diseased ones. A feature-vector of four individual s EMG features is introduced for more comprehensive representation of muscle activity. A clustering technique is then proposed to calculate quantitative differences between the muscle activities of the healthy and diseased sides. A regressive model is also proposed to predict the recovery trend of a patient based on the quantitative assessments during his/her clinical acupuncture history. 19Clonal isolation of endothelial colony-forming cells from early gestation chorionic villi of human placenta for fetal tissue regeneration显示文摘BACKGROUND Endothelial colony-forming cells(ECFCs)have been implicated in the process of vascularization,which includes vasculogenesis and angiogenesis.Vasculogenesis is a de novo formation of blood vessels,and is an essential physiological process that occurs during embryonic development and tissue regeneration.Angiogenesis is the growth of new capillaries from pre-existing blood vessels,which is observed both prenatally and postnatally.The placenta is an organ composed of a variety of fetal-derived cells,including ECFCs,and therefore has significant potential as a source of fetal ECFCs for tissue engineering.AIM To investigate the possibility of isolating clonal ECFCs from human early gestation chorionic villi(CV-ECFCs)of the placenta,and assess their potential for tissue engineering.METHODS The early gestation chorionic villus tissue was dissociated by enzyme digestion.Cells expressing CD31 were selected using magnetic-activated cell sorting,and plated in endothelial-specific growth medium.After 2-3 wks in culture,colonies displaying cobblestone-like morphology were manually picked using cloning cylinders.We characterized CV-ECFCs by flow cytometry,immunophenotyping,tube formation assay,and Dil-Ac-LDL uptake assay.Viral transduction of CVECFCs was performed using a Luciferase/tdTomato-containing lentiviral vector,and transduction efficiency was tested by fluorescent microscopy and flow cytometry.Compatibility of CV-ECFCs with a delivery vehicle was determined using an FDA approved,small intestinal submucosa extracellular matrix scaffold.RESULTS After four passages in 6-8 wks of culture,we obtained a total number of 1.8×107 CV-ECFCs using 100 mg of early gestational chorionic villus tissue.Immunophenotypic analyses by flow cytometry demonstrated that CV-ECFCs highly expressed the endothelial markers CD31,CD144,CD146,CD105,CD309,only partially expressed CD34,and did not express CD45 and CD90.CV-ECFCs were capable of acetylated low-density lipoprotein uptake and tube formation,similar to cord blood-derived ECFCs(CB-ECFCs).CV-ECFCs can be transduced with a Luciferase/tdTomato-containing lentiviral vector at a transduction efficiency of 85.1%.Seeding CV-ECFCs on a small intestinal submucosa extracellular matrix scaffold confirmed that CV-ECFCs were compatible with the biomaterial scaffold.CONCLUSION In summary,we established a magnetic sorting-assisted clonal isolation approach to derive CV-ECFCs.A substantial number of CV-ECFCs can be obtained within a short time frame,representing a promising novel source of ECFCs for fetal treatments.Kewa Gao Siqi He Priyadarsini Kumar Diana Farmer Jianda Zhou Aijun Wang 2020World Journal of Stem Cells2020,12,2:2
20Bioactive extracellular matrix scaffolds engineered with proangiogenic proteoglycan mimetics and loaded with endothelial progenitor cells promote neovascularization and diabetic wound healing显示文摘Diabetic ischemic wound treatment remains a critical clinical challenge.Neovascularization plays a significant role in wound healing during all stages of the tissue repair process.Strategies that enhance angiogenesis and neovascularization and improve ischemic pathology may promote the healing of poor wounds,particularly diabetic wounds in highly ischemic conditions.We previously identified a cyclic peptide LXW7 that specifically binds to integrinαvβ3 on endothelial progenitor cells(EPCs)and endothelial cells(ECs),activates vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)receptors,and promotes EC growth and maturation.In this study,we designed and synthesized a multi-functional pro-angiogenic molecule by grafting LXW7 and collagen-binding peptides(SILY)to a dermatan sulfate(DS)glycosaminoglycan backbone,named LXW7-DS-SILY,and further employed this multi-functional molecule to functionalize collagen-based extracellular matrix(ECM)scaffolds.We confirmed that LXW7-DS-SILY modification significantly promoted EPC attachment and growth on the ECM scaffolds in vitro and supported EPC survival in vivo in the ischemic environment.When applied in an established Zucker Diabetic Fatty(ZDF)rat ischemic skin flap model,LXW7-DS-SILY-functionalized ECM scaffolds loaded with EPCs significantly improved wound healing,enhanced neovascularization and modulated collagen fibrillogenesis in the ischemic environment.Altogether,this study provides a promising novel treatment to accelerate diabetic ischemic wound healing,thereby reducing limb amputation and mortality of diabetic patients.Siqi He Tanaya Walimbe Hongyuan Chen Kewa Gao Priyadarsini Kumar Yifan Wei Dake Hao Ruiwu Liu Diana L.Farmer Kit S.Lam Jianda Zhou Alyssa Panitch Aijun Wang 2022Bioactive Materials2022,7,4:2
