1Assessment of bone turnover and bone quality in type 2 diabetic bone disease: current concepts and future directions显示文摘Substantial evidence exists that in addition to the well-known complications of diabetes,increased fracture risk is an important morbidity.This risk is probably due to altered bone properties in diabetes.Circulating biochemical markers of bone turnover have been found to be decreased in type 2 diabetes(T2D) and may be predictive of fractures independently of bone mineral density(BMD).Serum sclerostin levels have been found to be increased in T2D and appear to be predictive of fracture risk independent of BMD.Bone imaging technologies,including trabecular bone score(TBS) and quantitative CT testing have revealed differences in diabetic bone as compared to non-diabetic individuals.Specifically,high resolution peripheral quantitative CT(HRp QCT) imaging has demonstrated increased cortical porosity in diabetic postmenopausal women.Other factors such as bone marrow fat saturation and advanced glycation endproduct(AGE) accumulation might also relate to bone cell function and fracture risk in diabetes.These data have increased our understanding of how T2D adversely impacts both bone metabolism and fracture risk.Mishaela R Rubin Janina M Patsch 2016Bone Research2016,4,1:10
2Preeclampsia from a renal point of view:Insides into disease models,biomarkers and therapy显示文摘Proteinuria is a frequently detected symptom,found in 20% of pregnancies.A common reason for proteinuria in pregnancy is preeclampsia.To diagnose preeclampsia clinically and to get new insights into the pathophysiology of the disease it is at first essential to be familiar with conditions in normal pregnancy.Animal models and biomarkers can help to learn more about disease conditions and to find new treatment strategies.In this article we review the changes in kidney function during normal pregnancy and the differential diagnosis of proteinuria in pregnancy.We summarize different pathophysiological theories of preeclampsia with a special focus on the renal facets of the disease.We describe the current animal models and give a broad overview of different biomarkers that were reported to predict preeclampsia or have a prognostic value in preeclampsia cases.We end with a summary of treatment options for preeclampsia related symptoms including the use of plasmapheresis as a rescue therapy for so far refractory preeclampsia.Most of these novel biomarkers for preeclampsia are not yet implemented in clinical use.Therefore,we recommend using proteinuria(measured by UPC ratio) as a screening parameter for preeclampsia.Delivery is the only curative treatment for preeclampsia.In earlypreeclampsia the primary therapy goal is to prolong pregnancy until a state were the child has an acceptable chance of survival after delivery.Janina Müller-Deile Mario Schiffer 2014World Journal of Nephrology2014,3,4:10
3Development of solid-state electrolytes for sodium-ion battery–A short review显示文摘All-solid-state sodium-ion battery is regarded as the next generation battery to replace the current commercial lithium-ion battery, with the advantages of abundant sodium resources, low price and high-level safety. As one critical component in sodium-ion battery, solid-state electrolyte should possess superior operational safety and design simplicity, yet reasonable high room-temperature ionic conductivity. This paper gives a comprehensive review on the recent progress in solid-state electrolyte materials for sodium-ion battery, including inorganic ceramic/glass-ceramic, organic polymer and ceramic-polymer composite electrolytes, and also provides a comparison of the ionic conductivity in various solid-state electrolyte materials. 5DSA血流定量分析软件评价血流导向装置治疗颅内大型动脉瘤的有效性显示文摘目的 探讨DSA血流定量分析软件评价血流导向装置治疗颅内大型动脉瘤后的血流特性改变,以分析血流导向装置治疗颅内大型动脉瘤的有效性.方法 回顾性分析2012年8月-2013年4月采用血流导向装置(Tubridge,Microport,上海)治疗的颅内大型动脉瘤患者15例.以相同标准采集所纳入患者治疗前后常规造影图像,并通过DSA血流定量分析软件进行图像后处理,通过生成的时间密度曲线,分析载瘤动脉远端显影延迟时间、动脉瘤瘤体内血流达峰时间、瘤体内血流曲线下面积以及瘤体内血流最大斜率的变化情况.结果 本组患者的支架置入技术成功率为100%,通过DSA分析软件术后即刻分析发现,与术前相比,载瘤动脉远端延迟时间缩短中位数(M)1.031 s(范围0.324~2.143 s),动脉瘤瘤腔内血流曲线下面积(相对值)以及最大斜率(相对值)分别减少57±15和49±25.结论 Tubridge支架置入前后载瘤动脉远端显影时间延迟、瘤腔内血流曲线下面积及瘤腔内血流最大斜率的下降,证实采用血流定量分析方法评估血流导向装置对于颅内大型动脉瘤的即刻治疗效果是有效的,但其对于远期疗效的评估还有待进一步观察.吴一娜 杨鹏飞 方亦斌 韩静峰 Janina Beilner 黄清海 刘建民 2013中国脑血管病杂志2013,10,10:3

8Comparison of the prognostic value of frailty assessment tools in patients aged≥65 years hospitalized in a cardiac care unit with acute coronary syndrome显示文摘BACKGROUND Frailty is associated with adverse events in elderly patients with acute coronary syndrome(ACS).Our aim was to compare the prognostic value of four frailty scales in patients aged≥65 years hospitalized with ACS in a cardiac care unit(CCU).METHODS Patients aged≥65 years with ACS were included.Frailty was assessed using the Fried frailty scale(reference standard),the Edmonton Frail Scale(EFS),the FRAIL scale,and the Clinical frailty scale(CFS).The primary end point was all-cause mortality and the secondary end point was unscheduled rehospitalization.RESULTS One hundred and seventy four patients aged≥65 years with ACS were recruited.The median follow-up was 637.5 days.Frailty was identified in 41.4%,40.2%,39.1%and 36.3%patients by the Fried frailty scale,EFS,FRAIL scale and CFS,re-spectively.The agreement coefficients were 0.88,0.86,and 0.79 for the FRAIL scale,EFS and CFS,respectively.In the Cox regres-sion model,frailty was associated with all-cause mortality regardless of the scale used(univariate:hazard ratio[HR]95%CI=10.5,2.4-46.8 Fried frailty scale;12.0,2.7-53.4 FRAIL scale;7.1,2.0-25.2 EFS;8.3,2.4-29.6 CFS.Multivariate:HR=5.1,1.1-23.8 Fried frailty scale;5.7,1.2-26.8 FRAIL scale;3.7,1.0-14.0 EFS;4.2,1.1-15.9 CFS).The FRAIL scale had the highest HR.In the uni-variate analysis,frailty was associated with unscheduled rehospitalization(HR=3.2,1.7-6.0 Fried frailty scale;3.4,1.8-6.3 FRAIL scale;3.5,1.8-6.6 EFS;3.1,1.7-5.8 CFS).In the multivariate analysis,only the EFS independently predicted unscheduled rehospit-alization(HR=2.2,1.1-4.63).CONCLUSIONS Frailty assessed by the Fried frailty scale,FRAIL scale,EFS and CFS is associated with all-cause mortality and unscheduled rehospitalization in elderly patients hospitalized in a CCU with ACS.The adjusted HR of the FRAIL scale for all-cause mortality was the highest among the scales compared,whereas the EFS was an independent predictor of unscheduled re-hospitalization.These data should be taken into consideration when choosing a frailty assessment tool.Wojciech Nowak Ilona Kowalik Małgorzata Kuzin Agnieszka Krauze Anna Mierzyńska Ewa Sadowy Kamil Marcinkiewicz Janina Stępińska 2022Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2022,19,5:2
