| 1 | Forming limits under multi-index constraints in NC bending of aluminum alloy thin-walled tubes with large diameters显示文摘With increasing diameters of aluminum alloy thin-walled tubes (AATTs), the tube forming limits, i.e. the minimum bending factors, and their predictions under multi-index constraints including wrinkling, thinning and flattening have been being a key problem to be urgently solved for improving tube forming potential in numerical control (NC) bending processes of AATTs with large diameters. Thus in this paper, a search algorithm of the forming limits is put forward based on a 3D elastic-plastic finite element (FE) model and a wrinkling energy prediction model for the bending processes under axial compression loading (ACL) or not. This algorithm enables to be considered the effects of process parameter combinations including die, friction parameters on the multi-indices. Based on this algorithm, the forming limits of the different size tubes are obtained, and the roles of the process parameter combinations in enabling the limit bending processes are also revealed. The followings are found: the first, within the appropriate ranges of friction and clearances between the different dies and the tubes enabling the bending processes with smaller bending factors, the ACL enables the tube limit bending processes after a decrease of the mandrel ball thickness and diameters; then, without considering the effects of the tube geometry sizes on the tube constitutive equations, the forming limits will be decided by the limit thinning values for the tubes with diameters smaller than 80 mm, while the wrinkling for the tubes with diameters no less than 80 mm. | 2 | The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. | 3 | Effects of 1-MCP on Ethylene Synthesis and Metabolismof Apple During Storage显示文摘Red Fuji apple (Malus domestica Borkh var. Red Fuji) fruits were used to study the effect of 1-MCP on ethylene biosynthesis metabolism during storage. The results showed that 1-MCP maintained the firmness and inhibited the respiration rate, LOX activity and ethylene production rate of fruits. Further study indicated that 1-MCP inhibited ACS (ACC synthase) activity from the 15th day, increased ACC accumulation,and delayed the appearance of ACO (ACC oxidase) activity peak. | 5 | Co-application of energy uncoupling and ultrafiltration in sludge treatment:Evaluations of sludge reduction,supernatant recovery and membrane fouling control显示文摘Energy uncoupling is often used for sludge reduction because it is easy to operate and does not require a significant amount of extra equipments(i.e.no additional tank required).However,over time the supernatant extracted using this method can deteriorate,ultimately requiring further treatment.The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using a low-pressure ultrafiltration membrane process for sludge water recovery after the sludge had undergone an energy uncoupling treatment(using 3,3’,4’,5-tetrachlorosalicylanilide(TCS)).Energy uncoupling was found to break apart sludge floe by reducing extracellular polymeric substances(EPS)and adenosine triphosphate(ATP)content.Analysis of supernatant indicated that when energy uncoupling and membrane filtration were coapplied and the TCS dosage was below 30 mg/L,there was no significant deterioration in organic component removal.However,ammonia and phosphate concentrations were found to increase as the concentration of TCS added increased.Additionally,due to low sludge concentrations and EPS contents,addition of 30-60 mg/L TCS during sludge reduction increased the permeate flux(two times higher than the control)and decreased the hydraulic reversible and cake layer resistances.In contrast,high dosage of TCS aggravated membrane fouling by forming compact fouling layers.In general,this study found that the co-application of energy uncoupling and membrane filtration processes represents an effective alternative method for simultaneous sludge reduction and sludge supernatant recovery. | An Ding Yingxue Zhao Zhongsen Yan Langming Bai Haiyang Yang Heng Liang Guibai Li Nanqi Ren | 2020 | Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2020,14,4: | 3 |
| 6 | Multi-omics approaches identify SF3B3 and SIRT3 as candidate autophagic regulators and druggable targets in invasive breast carcinoma显示文摘Autophagy is a critical cellular homeostatic mechanism,and its dysfunction is linked to invasive breast carcinoma(BRCA).Recently,several omics methods have been applied to explore autophagic regulators in BRCA;however,more reliable and robust approaches for identifying crucial regulators and druggable targets remain to be discovered.Thus,we report here the results of multi-omics approaches to identify potential autophagic regulators in BRCA,including gene expression(EXP),DNA methylation(MET)and copy number alterations(CNAs)from The Cancer Genome Atlas(TCGA).Newly identified candidate genes,such as SF3 B3,TRAPPC10,SIRT3,MTERFD1,and FBXO5,were confirmed to be involved in the positive or negative regulation of autophagy in BRCA.SF3 B3 was identified firstly as a negative autophagic regulator,and siRNA/shRNA-SF3 B3 were shown to induce autophagyassociated cell death in in vitro and in vivo breast cancer models.Moreover,a novel small-molecule activator of SIRT3,1-methylbenzylamino amiodarone,was discovered to induce autophagy in vitro and in vivo.Together,these results provide multi-omics approaches to identify some key candidate autophagic regulators,such as the negative regulator SF3 B3 and positive regulator SIRT3 in BRCA,and highlight SF3 B3 and SIRT3 as new druggable targets that could be used to fill the gap between autophagy and cancer drug development. | Shouyue Zhang Jin Zhang Yang An Xiaoxi Zeng Ziyi Qin Yuqian Zhao Heng Xu Bo Liu | 2021 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,5: | 3 |

| 8 | Feasibility study of creep feed grinding of 300M steel with zirconium corundum wheel显示文摘The ultrahigh strength 300M steel has been commonly used in the manufacture of aircraft landing gear and rotor shaft parts due to its excellent mechanical properties.Creep feed grinding is one of the essential operations during the whole component manufacturing processes.In this work,the feasibility of creep feed grinding of 300M steel by using the hard zirconium corundum wheel was theoretically and experimentally evaluated.A variety of responses including grinding forces,temperature fields,specific grinding energy,surface integrity and chip modes were carefully recorded.Besides,the mechanism of ground surface profile generation and the spatial frequency spectrum of the surface profile were tentatively analyzed.It was found that the wheel speed has a relative influence on the grinding forces and temperatures of which the work hardening effect dominates the material removal with lower wheel speed while the thermal softening becomes crucial as the wheel speed exceeds the critical value for the studied 300M steel.Furthermore,a scattered spatial frequency spectrum for the generated surface profile was noticed with lower wheel speed while the spectrum gathers towards the lower frequency values with higher amplitude as the wheel speed increases.The shearing chip and flowing chip dominates the main chip type,indicating the excellent abrasive sharpness during the grinding process.In general,the used zirconium corundum wheel presents feasibility for the creep feed grinding of 300M steel because of the high material removal rate,absence of surface burn,low wheel wear and higher compressive residual stresses. | Jiaqiang DANG Heng ZANG Qinglong AN Weiwei MING Ming CHEN | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,3: | 2 |

Li_4Ti_5O_(12) (LTO)possesses high lithium ion conductivity, and it is also can be used as an active adsorbent for polysulfide. Herein, fine LTO particle coated carbon nanofibers(CNF) were prepared and a conductive network both for electron and lithium ion was built, which can greatly promote the electrochemical conversion of polysulfide and improve the rate performance of Li–S batteries. Meanwhile, a quantity of adsorption sites is constructed by defects of the surface of LTO-CNF membrane to effectively immobilize polysulfide. The multifunctional LTO-CNF interlayer could impede the shuttle effect and enhance comprehensive electrochemical performance of Li–S batteries, especially high rate performance. With such LTO-CNF interlayer,the Li–S battery presents a specific capacity of 641.9 mAh/g at 5 C rate. After 400 cycles at 1 C, a capacity of 618.0 mAh/g is retained.
