1First dark matter search results from the PandaX-Ⅰ experiment显示文摘We report on the first dark-matter(DM)search results from PandaX-I,a low threshold dual-phase xenon experiment operating at the China JinPing Underground Laboratory.In the 37-kg liquid xenon target with 17.4 live-days of exposure,no DM particle candidate event was found.This result sets a stringent limit for low-mass DM particles and disfavors the interpretation of previously-reported positive experimental results.The minimum upper limit,3.7×10-44cm2,for the spin-independent isoscalar DM-particle-nucleon scattering cross section is obtained at a DM-particle mass of 49 GeV/c2at 90%confidence level.XIAO MengJiao XIAO Xiang ZHAO Li CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 2PandaX: a liquid xenon dark matter experiment at CJPL显示文摘PandaX is a large liquid-xenon detector experiment usable for direct dark-matter detection and 136Xe double-beta decay search.The central vessel was designed to accommodate a staged target volume increase from initially 120 kg(stage I)to 0.5 t(stage II)and eventually to a multi-ton scale.The experiment is located in the Jinping Deep-Underground Laboratory in Sichuan,China.The detector operates in dual-phase mode,allowing detection of both prompt scintillation,and ionization charge through proportional scintillation.In this paper a detailed description of the stage I detector design and performance as well as results established during the commissioning phase are presented.CAO XiGuang CHEN Xun CHEN YunHua CUI XiangYi FANG DeQing FU ChangBo GIBONI Karl L. 3Modeling and boundary control of a flexible marine riser coupled with internal fluid dynamics显示文摘In this paper, vibration reduction of a flexible marine riser with time-varying internal fluid is studied by using boundary control method and Lyapunov's direct method. To achieve more accurate and practical riser's dynamic behavior, the model of marine riser with time-varying internal fluid is modeled by a distributed parameter system (DPS) with partial differential equations (PDEs) and ordinary differential equations (ODEs) involving functions of space and time. The dynamic responses of riser are completely different if the time-varying internal fluid is considered. Boundary control is designed at the top boundary of the riser based on original infinite dimensionality PDEs model and Lyapunov's direct method to reduce the riser's vibrations. The uniform boundedness and closed-loop stability are proved based on the proposed boundary control. 4Synergistic effect of MXene on the flame retardancy and thermal degradation of intumescent flame retardant biodegradable poly(lactic acid)composites显示文摘The effect of Ti3C2 MXene nanosheets on the intumescent flame retardant(IFR)poly(lactic acid)(PLA)composites was investigated among a series of PLA/IFR/MXene,which were prepared by melt blending 0-2.0 wt%MXene,10.0 wt%-12.0 wt%IFR and PLA together.The results of limiting oxygen index(LOI)and vertical burning(UL-94)discover that the combination of 0.5 wt%MXene and 11.5 wt%IFR synergistically improves the fire safety of PLA to reach UL-94 V-0 rating with LOI value of 33.0%.The PLA/IFR/MXene composites perform an obvious reduction in peak of heat release rate(HRR)in cone calorimeter tests(CCTs).Furthermore,the carbon residues after CCTs were characterized by scanning electron microscope(SEM),laser Raman spectroscopy(LRS),X-ray diffraction(XRD)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).It is demonstrated that both the titanium composition of the MXene structure and the characteristics of the two-dimensional material enhance the PLA/IFR/MXene composite materials’ability to produce a dense barrier layer to resist burnout during thermal degradation.Haowei Huang Dexuan Dong Weijie Li Xinya Zhang Li Zhang Ying Chen Xinxin Sheng Xiang Lu 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,7:7
5Superior anti-corrosion and self-healing bi-functional polymer composite coatings with polydopamine modified mesoporous silica/graphene oxide显示文摘In this article,graphene oxide(GO)and benzotriazole-loaded mesoporous silica nanoparticles(BTA/MSNs)are combined on micro scale through the in situ polymerization of polydopamine(PDA),preparing a selfhealing bi-functional GO(fGO)used as nano-fillers for anti-corrosion enhancement of waterborne epoxy(WEP)coatings.Scanning electronic microscopy(SEM)images show that the BTA/MSNs are uniformly distributed on the surface of high aspect ratio GO nanosheets to endow GO nanocontainer characteristics.UV-vis profiles demonstrate that fGO has p H-controlled release function.Modulus at lowest frequency is generally used for comparing the corrosion resistance of organic coatings.Modulus at lowest frequency(1.42×10^(5)Ωcm^(2))after 30 days immersion in 3.5 wt.%Na Cl solution revealed 2 orders of magnitude higher that of blank WEP(1.17×10^(7)Ωcm^(2)).With artificial cracks on its coatings,fGO/WEP had no obvious rust compared with blank WEP after 240 h of immersion.We anticipate that self-healing and physical barrier bi-functional nanocontainers improve the traditional anticorrosion coating efficiency with better,longer-lasting performance for shipping,oil drilling or bridge maintenance.Yanqi Ma Haowei Huang Hongda Zhou Michael Graham James Smith Xinxin Sheng Ying Chen Li Zhang Xinya Zhang Elena Shchukina Dmitry Shchukin 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,36:4
6Electrodeposition of aluminum on aluminum surface from molten salt显示文摘The surface morphology, microstructure and composition of the aluminum coating of the electrodeposition plates in AlCl 3 -NaCl-KCl molten salt with a mass ratio of 8:1:1 were investigated by SEM and EDS. The binding force was measured by splat-cooling method and bending method. The results indicate that the coatings with average thicknesses of 12 and 9 μm for both plates treated by simple grinding and phosphating are compacted, continuous and well adhered respectively. Tetramethylammonium chloride (TMAC) can effectively prevent the growth of dendritic crystal, and the anode activation may improve the adhesion of the coating. 8Visualizing light-induced dynamic structural transformations of Au clusters-based photocatalyst via in situ TEM显示文摘Ultrasmall gold(Au)clusters have been regarded as one of the prototypes materials for solar energy conversion due to their unique strong molecular-like light absorption properties.However,the light-induced aggregation of Au clusters into nanoparticles is one of the most important factors that restricts its application in photocatalysis.Although Au clusters aggregation has been widely demonstrated,the underlying mechanism for cluster fusion is still unclear due to the lack of experimental evidence.Herein,we report the direct observation of Au clusters on TiO_(2) nanosheets aggregating when used as visible light photocatalysts for the reduction of nitroaromatics.Through in situ high-resolution transmission electron microscopy(TEM),the coexistence of two fusion mechanisms of Au clusters on TiO_(2) under ultraviolet-visible(UV-Vis)light irradiation in air is identified,i.e.,the migration and coalescence(MC)and Ostwald ripening(OR).Additionally,the correlation between the photostability of Au clusters and reaction atmospheres has been investigated,among which Au clusters have higher stability in an inert N_(2) atmosphere or vacuum than the oxidizing atmospheres(i.e.,air and O_(2)).These results indicate the inherent stability of Au cluster during photocatalysis,and instability comes from the consuming of ligand layer.This work not only discloses the underlying mechanism of Au cluster sintering but also provides guidelines for enhancing metal clusters-based photocatalysts stability.Bo Weng Youhong Jiang Hong-Gang Liao Maarten B.J.Roeffaers Feili Lai Haowei Huang Zichao Tang 2021Nano Research2021,14,8:1

11Protective performance of shear stiffening gel-modified foam against ballistic impact:Experimental and numerical study显示文摘As one of the most widely used personal protective equipment(PPE),body armors play an important role in protecting the human body from the high-velocity impact of bullets or projectiles.The body torso and critical organs of the wear may suffer severe behind-armor blunt trauma(BABT)even though the impactor is stopped by the body armor.A type of novel composite material through incorporating shear stiffening gel(STG)into ethylene-vinyl acetate(EVA)foam is developed and used as buffer layers to reduce BABT.In this paper,the protective performance of body armors composed of fabric bulletproof layers and a buffer layer made of foam material is investigated both experimentally and numerically.The effectiveness of STG-modified EVA in damage relief is verified by ballistic tests.In parallel with the experimental study,numerical simulations are conducted by LS-DYNA®to investigate the dynamic response of each component and capture the key mechanical parameters,which are hardly obtained from field tests.To fully describe the material behavior under the transient impact,the selected constitutive models take the failure and strain rate effect into consideration.A good agreement between the experimental observations and numerical results is achieved to prove the validity of the modelling method.The tests and simulations show that the impact-induced deformation on the human body is significantly reduced by using STG-modified EVA as the buffering material.The improvement of protective performance is attributed to better dynamic properties and more outstanding energy absorption capability of the composite foam.Huan Tu Haowei Yang Pengzhao Xu Zhe Yang Fan Tang Cheng Dong Yuchao Chen Lei Ren Wenjian Cao Chenguang Huang Yacong Guo Yanpeng Wei 2024Defence Technology(防务技术)2024,32,2:0
12S-scheme CoTiO_(3)/Cd_(9.51)Zn_(0.49)S_(10)heterostructures for visible-light driven photocatalytic CO_(2) reduction显示文摘CdZnS solid solutions with strong light absorption are promising materials for solar-driven COreduction;however,their relatively weak redox ability and intrinsic photo-corrosion limit their further development as a photocatalyst.The addition of a second photocatalyst with a suitable band structure to construct a S-scheme photocatalytic system can solve both problems simultaneously.Here,we report a S-scheme photocatalyst based on the heterostructure of CoTiO_(3)/CdZnS(abbreviated as CoTiO_(3)/Cd_(9.51)Zn_(0.49)S_(10))that enables the efficient photocatalytic reduction of CO.Detailed physicochemical characterization resolves the S-scheme charge transfer mechanism in this composite photocatalyst.With the well-designed structure of particles and desirable band offsets,this hybrid system offers visible light absorption in a broad spectral region,large surface area,strong redox ability,and fast carrier separation and transportation.Under visible-light illumination,the CoTiO_(3)/Cd Zn S hybrid system displays a CO formation rate of about 11 mmol hgcombined with a long-term operational stability.Besides,a high apparent quantum efficiency(AQE)of 7.27%is realized for the CO_(2)-to-CO reduction reaction by the optimized Co TiO/Cd Zn S hybrid under 420 nm monochromatic light irradiation.Bo Su Haowei Huang Zhengxin Ding Maarten B.J.Roeffaers Sibo Wang Jinlin Long 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,29:0
13Dissecting the novel abilities of aripiprazole: The generation of anti-colorectal cancer effects by targeting Gαq via HTR2B显示文摘Colorectal cancer(CRC)is a type of malignant tumor that seriously threatens human health and life,and its treatment has always been a difficulty and hotspot in research.Herein,this study for the first time reports that antipsychotic aripiprazole(Ari)against the proliferation of CRC cells both in vitro and in vivo,but with less damage in normal colon cells.Mechanistically,the results showed that5-hydroxytryptamine 2B receptor(HTR2B)and its coupling protein G protein subunit alpha q(Gaq)were highly distributed in CRC cells.Ari had a strong affinity with HTR2B and inhibited HTR2B downstream signaling.Blockade of HTR2B signaling suppressed the growth of CRC cells,but HTR2B was not found to have independent anticancer activity.Interestingly,the binding of Gaq to HTR2B was decreased after Ari treatment.Knockdown of Gaq not only restricted CRC cell growth,but also directly affected the antiCRC efficacy of Ari.Moreover,an interaction between Ari and Gaq was found in that the mutation at amino acid 190 of Gaq reduced the efficacy of Ari.Thus,these results confirm that Gaq coupled to HTR2B was a potential target of Ari in mediating CRC proliferation.Collectively,this study provides a novel effective strategy for CRC therapy and favorable evidence for promoting Ari as an anticancer agent.Haowei Liu Qiuming Huang Yunqi Fan Bo Li Xuemei Liu Changhua Hu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,8:0

15RSBP15 interacts with and stabilizes dRSPH3 during sperm axoneme assembly in Drosophila显示文摘Flagellum in sperm is composed of over 200 different proteins and is essential for sperm motility. In particular, defects in the assembly of the radial spoke in the flagellum result in male infertility due to loss of sperm motility. However, mechanisms regulating radial spoke assembly remain unclear in metazoans.Here, we identified a novel Drosophila protein radial spoke binding protein 15(RSBP15) which plays an important role in regulating radial spoke assembly. Loss of RSBP15 results in complete lack of mature sperms in seminal vesicles(SVs), asynchronous individualization complex(IC) and defective '9 + 2'structure in flagella. RSBP15 is colocalized with dRSPH3 in sperm flagella, and interacts with dRSPH3 through its DD_R_PKA superfamily domain which is important for the stabilization of dRSPH3. Moreover,loss of dRSPH3, as well as dRSPH1, dRSPH4 a and dRSPH9, showed similar phenotypes to rsbp15 KO mutant.
