1The number and cytotoxicity and the expression of cytotoxicity-related molecules in peripheral natural killer(NK)cells do not predict the repeated implantation failure(RIF)for the in vitro fertilization patients显示文摘Natural killer(NK)cells are thought to play a key role in the successful establishment of a pregnancy by facilitating immunological adaptation of the semi-allogeneic developing embryo.The aim of this study was to explore the cell number,immunophenotypic characteristics,and activities of peripheral blood NK cells in women with repeated implantation failure(RIF).Peripheral blood was obtained from 27 women with RIF and 11 healthy,fertile controls during the middle luteal phase of the menstrual cycle.CD3^-CD56^+NK cells were quantified and analyzed by flow cytometry for the expression of cytolytic molecules(granzyme B,granulysin,and perforin)as well as cell surface receptors responsible for NK cell activation or inhibition(NKG2D,NKp30,NKp46,CD158a,CD158b).NK cytotoxicity was measured at three effector-to-target cell ratios.Women with RIF and fertile controls did not differ significantly in the percentage of circulating CD3CD56t NK cells,or in the proportions of these cells that expressed granzyme B,granulysin,or perforin.The two groups also did not differ significantly in the proportions of NK cells expressing the receptors NKG2D,NKp30,NKp46,CD158a or CD158b.General linear model analysis showed that NK cytotoxicity increased with effector-to-target cell ratio.However,NK cytotoxicity did not differ significantly between patients with RIF and fertile controls.These results suggest that RIF is not associated with significant alterations in the number or function of peripheral blood NK cells.Hongzhan Zhang Chunyu Huang Xian Chen Longfei Li Su Liu Yuye Li Yongnu Zhang Yong Zeng Lina HuDepartment of Obstetrics and Gynecology The Second Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical 2020Genes & Diseases2020,7,2:2

5Characterization of particle deposition during crossflow filtration as influenced by permeate flux and crossflow velocity using a microfluidic filtration system显示文摘Particle deposition during crossflow filtration is significantly influenced by the operating conditions,in particular the permeate flux and crossflow velocity.However,there is a lack of detailed knowledge about how deposit layer structures and distributions depend on operating parameters.This study uses a microfluidic visualisation filtration system to examine the influence of operating conditions on the deposition process during crossflow ultrafiltration from a microscopic perspective.Increasing the permeate flux caused an increasing amount of deposition and a thicker deposit layer.Higher crossflow velocities reduced the extent of deposition.The degree of deposition varied over a range of operating conditions due to the altered hydrodynamic forces exerted on the particles,which can be examined by the deposition probability according to an existing model.Building on this,an empirical correlation between the deposition probability and volume of deposition as a function of filtration time was developed,which gave good agreement with experimental results.The effect of solution conditions was also involved in this correlation as a interaction energies.This could be useful for predicting the dynamic deposition process during crossflow filtration over a range of operating and solution conditions.Hongzhan Di Gregory J.O.Martin Dave E.Dunstan 2021Frontiers of Chemical Science and Engineering2021,15,3:1

10Generation and control of dynamically tunable circular Pearcey beams with annular spiral-zone phase显示文摘Light-field shaping technology plays an important role in optics and nanophotonics. For instance, the spatially structured light field, which exhibits characteristic features in complex phases, light intensity, and polarization, is crucial to understanding new physical phenomena and exploring practical applications. Herein, we propose and demonstrate a new class of tunable circular Pearcey beams(TCPBs) by imposing the annular spiral-zone phase(ASZP). Through experiments, we used a spatial light modulator to generate TCPBs based on their spiral phase distribution, and numerically analyzed the generation and control of the beams with unusual autofocusing and self-rotating dynamics. ASZP is a general term for complex phases composed of the spiral phase,equiphase, and radial phase. TCPB typically exhibits dynamical properties, including abrupt autofocusing, automatic generation of optical bottles, and self-rotation of the beam pattern, during propagation. Besides, the number of generated optical bottles can be modulated by the superposition mode of ASZP and the number of subphases. We found that an inappropriate superposition mode leads to distortion, and we analyzed the underlying mechanism. 11The mechanism for tuning the corrosion resistance and pore density of plasma electrolytic oxidation(PEO)coatings on Mg alloy with fluoride addition显示文摘Here we prepared PEO coatings on Mg alloys in silicate-NaOH-phosphate electrolyte containing different concentrations of NaF addition.The detailed microstructural characterizations combining with potentiodynamic polarization and electrochemical impedance spectra(EIS)were employed to investigate the roles of fluoride in the growth and corrosion properties of PEO coating on Mg.The result shows the introduction of NaF led to a fluoride-containing nanolayer(FNL)formed at the Mg/coating interface.The FNL consists of MgO nanoparticles and insoluble MgF_(2)nanoparticles(containing rutile phase and cubic phase).The increase in the NaF concentration of the electrolyte increases the thickness and the MgF_(2)content in the FNL.When anodized in the electrolyte containing 2 g/L NaF,the formed FNL has the highest thickness of 100-200 nm along with the highest value of x of∼0.6 in(MgO)_(1-x)(MgF_(2))x resulted in the highest corrosion performance of PEO coating.In addition,when anodized in the electrolyte containing a low NaF concentration(0.4-0.8 g/L),the formed FNL was thin and discontinuous,which would decrease the pore density and increase the coating's uniformness simultaneously.Zhu Lujun Li Hongzhan Ma Qingmei Lu Jiangbo Li Zhengxian 2023Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2023,11,8:1
