2DISTRIBUTION AND CHARACTERIZATION OF POLYCYCLIC AROMATIC HYDROCARBON COMPOUNDS IN AIRBORNE PARTICULATES OF EAST ASIA显示文摘A review is presented on the distribution and characterization of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) and their derivatives, including nitro-PAHs and hydro-PAHs, on atmospheric particulates of East Asia. Generally, PAH compounds with two or three aromatic rings are released mainly into the gas phase, while those containing three or more aromatic rings are associated with particulate matter (PM) emission. Particle-associated PAHs are primarily adsorbed on fine particles, and little associated with coarse particles. Investigation into the concentration level of PAHs in different areas can serve not only to reflect the pollutant status and sources but also to lead to the formulation of control strategies. 5Risk factors for perforation during endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography in post-reconstruction intestinal tract显示文摘BACKGROUND Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP) in patients with surgically altered anatomy has been a major challenge to gastrointestinal endoscopists with low success rates for reaching the target site as well as high complication rates. The knowledge of ERCP-related risk factors is important for reducing unexpected complications.AIM To identify ERCP-related risk factors for perforation in patients with surgically altered anatomy.METHODS The medical records of 187 patients with surgically altered anatomy who underwent ERCP at our institution between April 2009 and December 2017 were retrospectively reviewed. An analysis of patient data, including age, sex, type of reconstruction, cause of surgery, aim of ERCP, success rate of reaching target site,success rate of procedure, adverse events, type of scope, time to reach the target site, and duration of procedure, was performed. In patients with Billroth-Ⅱ reconstruction, additional potential risk factors were the shape of the inserted scope and whether the anastomosis was antecolic or retrocolic.RESULTS All patients(n = 187) had surgical anatomy, such as Billroth-Ⅰ(n = 22), Billroth-Ⅱ(n = 33), Roux-en-Y(n = 54), Child, or Whipple reconstruction(n = 75). ERCP was performed for biliary drainage in 43 cases(23%), stone removal in 29 cases(16%),and stricture dilation of anastomosis in 59 cases(32%). The scope was unable to reach the target site in 17 cases(9%), and an aimed procedure could not be accomplished in 54 cases(29%). Adverse events were pancreatitis(3%),hyperamylasemia(10%), cholangitis(6%), cholestasis(4%), excessive sedation(1%), perforation(2%), and others(3%). 7Probing the lower ionospheric perturbations associated with earthquakes by means of subionospheric VLF/LF propagation显示文摘There have been reports for many years that the ionosphere is very sensitive to seismic effects, and the detection of ionospheric perturbations associated with earthquakes(EQs) attracts a lot of attention as a very promising candidate for short-term EQ prediction.In this review we present a possible use of VLF/LF (very low frequency(3-30 kHz)/low frequency(30-300 kHz)) radio sounding of seismo-ionospheric perturbations. In order to avoid the overlapping with my own previous reviews,we first show some pioneering results for the Kobe EQ and we try to present the latest results including the statistical evidence on the correlation between the VLF/LF propagation anomalies(ionospheric perturbations) and EQs(especially with large magnitude and with shallow depth),medium-distance(6-8 Mm) propagation anomalies,the fluctuation spectra of subionospheric VLF/LF data(the effect of atmospheric gravity waves,the effect of Earth’s tides,etc.),and the mechanism of lithosphere-atmosphere-ionosphere coupling.Finally,we indicate the present situation of this kind of VLF/LF activities going on in different parts of the globe and we suggest the importance of international collaboration in this seismo-electromagnetic study.Masashi Hayakawa 2011Earthquake Science2011,24,6:5
8日本香川地区荷斯坦牛乳与娟姗牛乳营养成分的比较显示文摘目的比较日本香川地区荷斯坦和娟姗牛乳中乳清蛋白的总蛋白质含量,乳过氧化物酶(LPO)和乳铁蛋白的一些基本性质。方法以荷斯坦和娟姗牛乳为对象,经酸沉淀除酪蛋白后,通过离心,SP-Sepharose离子交换层析分离纯化得到乳过氧化物酶和乳铁蛋白,利用考马斯亮蓝定量、SDS-PAGE定性、ABTS检测乳过氧化物酶活性、最后通过基质辅助激光解吸电离飞行时间质谱(MALDI-TOF-MS)确认分子量。结果娟姗牛乳中乳清蛋白的总蛋白质和乳过氧化物酶含量均高于荷斯坦中乳清蛋白中的总蛋白质和乳过氧化物酶含量。娟姗乳清蛋白中的乳过氧化物酶活性(0.870 5 U/ml)高于荷斯坦乳清蛋白中的乳过氧化物酶活性(0.758 9 U/ml)。娟姗乳清蛋白中的乳过氧化物酶和乳铁蛋白分子量分别为786 48.154和831 23.538 k Da,荷斯坦乳清蛋白中的乳过氧化物酶和乳铁蛋白分子量分别为777 64.841和827 65.494 k Da。结论对于乳酪行业,当考虑养殖奶牛品种生产乳酪同时又想最大限度利用需要处理的乳清蛋白和乳铁蛋白的时候,相比于荷斯坦奶牛,娟姗奶牛是更好的选择。王任 Shigeru Hayakawa 周明昊 罗金文 2015中国食品卫生杂志2015,27,6:4

11Influence of Agricultural Activity on Nitrogen Budget in Chinese and Japanese Watersheds显示文摘To analyze the effect of agricultural activity on nitrogen(N) budget at the watershed scale,a comparative study was conducted at two Japanese watersheds,the Shibetsu River watershed(SRW) and Upper-Naka River watershed(UNRW),and one Chinese watershed,the Jurong Reservoir watershed(JRW).The total area and the proportion of agricultural area(in parentheses) of the watersheds were 685(51%),1 299(21%),and 46 km 2(55%) for SRW,UNRW,and JRW,respectively.The main agricultural land use in SRW was forage grassland,while paddy fields occupied the highest proportion of cropland in UNRW(11% of total area) and JRW(31% of total area).The farmland surplus N was 61,48,and 205 kg N ha 1 year 1 for SRW,UNRW,and JRW,respectively.The total input and output for the whole watershed were 89 and 76,83 and 61,and 353 and 176 kg N ha 1 year 1 for SRW,UNRW,and JRW,respectively.The proportion of discharged N to net anthropogenic N input was 31%,37%,and 1.7% for SRW,UNRW,and JRW,respectively.The two watersheds in Japan showed similar proportions of discharged N to those of previous reports,while the watershed in China(JRW) showed a totally different characteristic compared to previous studies.The high N input in JRW did not increase the amount of discharged N at the outlet of the watershed due to high proportions of paddy fields and water bodies,which was an underestimated N sink at the landscape scale.S. 12STUDY ON SIMILARITY LAWS OF A DISTORTED RIVER MODEL WITH A MOVABLE BED显示文摘WT5”BZ]In this study, by considering the scale ratio related to the specific gravity of the submerged bed material, and introducing a degree of distortion, n the similarity laws for a distorted river model with a movable bed were derived under the conditions that the values of dual dimensionless parameters in a regime-criterion diagram for the bars are the same in a model as they are in a prototype, and that a resistance law such as the Manning-Strickler-type formula is to be valid for a model and a prototype. The usefulness of the similarity laws derived in this study was verified by comparing the bed forms from the distroted model experiments with the bed forms from the 1/50-scale undistorted model experiments, which were performed by the Hokkaido Development Bureau (H. D. B.), Japan, to examine the tentative plan for the improvement of a low-flow channel in the Chubetsu River, which is a tributary of the Ishikari River. 162-14 Investigation of the Thermonuclear 18Ne(α, p)21Na Reaction Rate via Resonant Elastic Scattering of 21Na + p显示文摘A nuclear astrophysics experiment was performed at CRIB (CNS low-energy Radioactive-Ion Beam separator)on Mar. 2011. The goal of this experiment is to study the reaction rate of 18Ne(,p)21Na reaction, which mightbe a key breakout reaction from the hot CNO cycle to rp-process in X-ray burst and nova. Yet its reaction rate ispoorly known.Explosive hydrogen burning is thought to be the main source of energy generation and a source of nucleosynthesisin X-ray burst and nova[1;2]. For example, XRBs are characterized by a sudden increase of X-ray emission withinonly a few seconds to a total energy output of about 1040 ergs, which is observed to repeat with some regularity.The recurrence time for single bursts can range from hours to days at the typical temperature of 0.4~2 GK. Thebursts have been interpreted as being generated by thermonuclear runaway on the surface of a neutron star thataccretes H- and He-rich material from a less evolved companion star in a close binary system. 17On-chip 3D rotation of oocyte based on a vibration-induced local whirling flow显示文摘We propose a novel on-chip 3D cell rotation method based on a vibration-induced flow.When circular vibration is applied to a microchip with micropillar patterns,a highly localized whirling flow is induced around the micropillars.The direction and velocity of this flow can be controlled by changing the direction and amplitude of the applied vibration.Furthermore,this flow can be induced on an open chip structure.In this study,we adopted a microchip with three micropillars arranged in a triangular configuration and an xyz piezoelectric actuator to apply the circular vibration.At the centre of the micropillars,the interference of the vibration-induced flows originating from the individual micropillars induces rotational flow.Consequently,a biological cell placed at this centre rotates under the influence of the flow.Under three-plane circular vibrations in the xy,xz or yz plane,the cell can rotate in both the focal and vertical planes of the microscope.Applying this 3D cell rotation method,we measured the rotational speeds of mouse oocytes in the focal and vertical planes as 63.7±4.0°s^(−1) and 3.5±2.1°s^(−1),respectively.Furthermore,we demonstrated the transportation and rotation of the mouse oocytes and re-positioned their nuclei into a position observable by microscope.Takeshi Hayakawa Shinya Sakuma Fumihito Arai 2015Microsystems & Nanoengineering2015,1,1:2
18Examining the properties and therapeutic potential of glial restricted precursors in spinal cord injury显示文摘In the aftermath of spinal cord injury,glial restricted precursors(GRPs) and immature astrocytes offer the potential to modulate the inflammatory environment of the injured spinal cord and promote host axon regeneration.Nevertheless clinical application of cellular therapy for the repair of spinal cord injury requires strict quality-assured protocols for large-scale production and preservation that necessitates long-term in vitro expansion.Importantly,such processes have the potential to alter the phenotypic and functional properties and thus therapeutic potential of these cells.Furthermore,clinical use of cellular therapies may be limited by the inflammatory microenvironment of the injured spinal cord,altering the phenotypic and functional properties of grafted cells.This report simulates the process of large-scale GRP production and demonstrates the permissive properties of GRP following long-term in vitro culture.Furthermore,we defined the phenotypic and functional properties of GRP in the presence of inflammatory factors,and call attention to the importance of the microenvironment of grafted cells,underscoring the importance of modulating the environment of the injured spinal cord.Kazuo Hayakawa Christopher Haas Itzhak Fischer 2016Neural Regeneration Research2016,11,4:2
