1Effects of Phosphate-Solubilizing Bacteria, Rock Phosphate and Chemical Fertilizers on Maize-Wheat Cropping Cycle and Economics显示文摘A two-year field study was conducted to test the effects of two phosphate-solubilizing bacteria(PSB), Pantoea cypripedii(PSB-3)and Pseudomonas plecoglossicida(PSB-5), inoculated singly or together with rock phosphate(RP) fertilization on maize and wheat cropping cycle by comparing with chemical P fertilizer(diammonium phosphate, DAP), mainly in the crop yield, soil fertility and economic returns. Inoculation of PSB together with RP fertilization increased the crop growth in terms of shoot height, shoot and root dry biomass, grain yield and total P uptake in both maize and wheat crops compared to the other treatments. Soil fertility in the context of available P, enzyme activities and PSB population in both maize and wheat crops was significantly improved with PSB inoculation together with RP fertilization compared to DAP treatment. The combined use of PSB inoculation and RP fertilization was more economical due to minimal cost and maximum returns. 2Management of diabetic dyslipidemia: An update显示文摘Diabetic dyslipidemia is a cluster of lipoprotein abnormalities characterized by increased triglyceride level, decreased high-density lipoprotein-cholesterol levels and increase in small dense low-density lipoprotein(LDL) particles. It is extremely common in type 2 diabetes(T2DM) affecting around 70 % of patients.Diabetic is a significant risk factor for atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease(ASCVD) which is the most common cause of death in the United States and LDL-cholesterol is the number 1 predictor of ASCVD events in T2DM. The purpose of this review is to discuss the pathophysiology and treatment of diabetic dyslipidemia. In this review, we have discussed both nonpharmacological and pharmacological treatment modalities including major treatment trials which have impacted the cardiovascular outcomes in patients with diabetes. Statin therapy is the mainstay of treatment to reduce ASCVD by decreasing LDL-C by 30%-49% or at least 50% depending on risk level. Attractive adjunctive therapies include Ezetimibe which is more cost effective and PCSK9 inhibitors which display potent LDL-cholesterol lowering and ASCVD event reduction. 3Image processing based real-time variable-rate chemical spraying system for disease control in paddy crop显示文摘The agrochemical applicationwith conventional sprayers results inwastage of applied chemicals,which not only increases the economic losses but also pollutes the environment.In order to overcome these drawbacks,an image processing based real-time variable-rate chemical spraying systemwas developed for the precise application of agrochemicals in diseased paddy crop based on crop disease severity information.The developed system comprised ofweb cameras for image acquisition,laptop for image processing,microcontroller for controlling the system functioning,and solenoid valve assisted spraying nozzles.The chromatic aberration(CA)based image segmentation method was used to detect the diseased region of paddy plants.The system further calculated the disease severity level of paddy plants,based onwhich the solenoid valves remained on for a specific timeduration so that the required amount of agrochemical could be sprayed on the diseased paddy plants.Field performance of developed sprayer prototype was evaluated in the variable-rate application(VRA)and constant-rate application(CRA)modes.The field testing results showed a minimum 33.88%reduction in applied chemical while operating in the VRA mode as compared with the CRA mode.Hence,the developed systemappears promising and could be used extensively to reduce the cost of pest management as well as to control environmental pollution due to such agrochemicals.V.K.Tewari C.M.Pareek Gurdeep Lal L.K.Dhruw Naseeb Singh 2020Artificial Intelligence in Agriculture2020,,1:2

11Identification and elucidation of anthropogenic source contribution in PM_(10) pollutant: Insight gain from dispersion and receptor models显示文摘Source apportionment study of PM_(10)(Particulate Matter) in a critically polluted area of Jharia coalfield, India has been carried out using Dispersion model, Principle Component Analysis(PCA) and Chemical Mass Balance(CMB) techniques. Dispersion model Atmospheric Dispersion Model(AERMOD) was introduced to simplify the complexity of sources in Jharia coalfield. PCA and CMB analysis indicates that monitoring stations near the mining area were mainly affected by the emission from open coal mining and its associated activities such as coal transportation, loading and unloading of coal. Mine fire emission also contributed a considerable amount of particulate matters in monitoring stations. Locations in the city area were mostly affected by vehicular, Liquid Petroleum Gas(LPG) & Diesel Generator(DG) set emissions, residential, and commercial activities.
