9The second natural gas hydrate production test in the South China Sea显示文摘Clayey silt reservoirs bearing natural gas hydrates(NGH)are considered to be the hydrate-bearing reservoirs that boast the highest reserves but tend to be the most difficult to exploit.They are proved to be exploitable by the first NGH production test conducted in the South China Sea in 2017.Based on the understanding of the first production test,the China Geological Survey determined the optimal target NGH reservoirs for production test and conducted a detailed assessment,numerical and experimental simulation,and onshore testing of the reservoirs.After that,it conducted the second offshore NGH production test in 1225 m deep Shenhu Area,South China Sea(also referred to as the second production test)from October 2019 to April 2020.During the second production test,a series of technical challenges of drilling horizontal wells in shallow soft strata in deep sea were met,including wellhead stability,directional drilling of a horizontal well,reservoir stimulation and sand control,and accurate depressurization.As a result,30 days of continuous gas production was achieved,with a cumulative gas production of 86.14×104 m3.Thus,the average daily gas production is 2.87×10^4 m^3,which is 5.57 times as much as that obtained in the first production test.Therefore,both the cumulative gas production and the daily gas production were highly improved compared to the first production test.As indicated by the monitoring results of the second production test,there was no anomaly in methane content in the seafloor,seawater,and atmosphere throughout the whole production test.This successful production test further indicates that safe and effective NGH exploitation is feasible in clayey silt NGH reservoirs.The industrialization of hydrates consists of five stages in general,namely theoretical research and simulation experiments,exploratory production test,experimental production test,productive production test,and commercial production.The second production test serves as an important step from the exploratory production test to experimental production test.Jian-liang Ye Xu-wen Qin Wen-wei Xie Hai-long Lu Bao-jin Ma Hai-jun Qiu Jin-qiang Liang Jing-an Lu Zeng-gui Kuang Cheng Lu Qian-yong Liang Shi-peng Wei Yan-jiang Yu Chunsheng Liu Bin Li Kai-xiang Shen Hao-xian Shi Qiu-ping Lu Jing Li Bei-bei Kou Gang Song Bo Li He-en Zhang Hong-feng Lu Chao Ma Yi-fei Dong Hang Bian 2020China Geology2020,3,2:22

15Effectiveness of Different Waist Circumference Cut-off Values in Predicting Metabolic Syndrome Prevalence and Risk Factors in Adults in China显示文摘Objective To study the effectiveness of waist circumference cut-off values in predicting the prevalence of metabolic syndrome(MetS) and risk factors in adults in China. Methods A cross-sectional survey was condcuted in 14 provinces(autonomous region, municipality) in China. A total of 47 325 adults aged ≥20 years were selected by multistage stratified sampling, and questionnaire survey and physical and clinical examination were conducted among them. MetS was defined according to the International Diabetes Federation(IDF) criteria and modified IDF criteria.Results The age-standardized prevalence of MetS was 24.2%(22.1% in men and 25.8% in women) and 19.5%(22.1% in men and 18.0% in women) according to the IDF criteria and modified IDF criteria respectively. The age-standardized prevalence of pre-MetS was 8.1%(8.6% in men and 7.8% in women) according to the modified IDF criteria. The prevalence of MetS was higher in urban residents than rural residents and in northern China residents than in southern China residents. The prevalence of central obesity was about 30% in both men and women according to the ethnicity-specific cut-off values of waist circumference for central obesity(90 cm for men and 85 cm for women). Multivariate regression analysis revealed no significant difference in risk factors between the two MetS definitions. 18Blocking meningeal lymphatic drainage aggravates Parkinson’s disease-like pathology in mice overexpressing mutated α-synuclein显示文摘Background:Abnormal aggregation of brainα-synuclein is a central step in the pathogenesis of Parkinson’s disease(PD),thus,it is reliable to promote the clearance ofα-synuclein to prevent and treat PD.Recent studies have revealed an essential role of glymphatic system and meningeal lymphatic vessels in the clearance of brain macromolecules,however,their pathophysiological aspects remain elusive.Method:Meningeal lymphatic drainage of 18-week-old A53T mice was blocked via ligating the deep cervical lymph nodes.Six weeks later,glymphatic functions and PD-like phenotypes were systemically analyzed.Results:Glymphatic influx of cerebrospinal fluid tracer was reduced in A53T mice,accompanied with perivascular aggregation ofα-synuclein and impaired polarization of aquaporin 4 expression in substantia nigra.Cervical lymphatic ligation aggravated glymphatic dysfunction of A53T mice,causing more severe accumulation ofα-synuclein,glial activation,inflammation,dopaminergic neuronal loss and motor deficits.Conclusion:The results suggest that brain lymphatic clearance dysfunction may be an aggravating factor in PD pathology.Wenyan Zou Tinglin Pu Weixi Feng Ming Lu Ying Zheng Renhong Du Ming Xiao Gang Hu 2019Translational Neurodegeneration2019,8,1:17
19Polyamine Accumulation in Transgenic Tomato Enhances the Tolerance to High Temperature Stress显示文摘Polyamines play an important role in plant response to abiotic stress.S-adenosyl-l-methionine decarboxylase(SAMDC) is one of the key regulatory enzymes in the biosynthesis of polyamines.In order to better understand the effect of regulation of polyamine biosynthesis on the tolerance of high-temperature stress in tomato,SAMDC cDNA isolated from Saccharomyces cerevisiae was introduced into tomato genome by means of Agrobacterium tumefaciens through leaf disc transformation.Transgene and expression was confirmed by Southern and Northern blot analyses,respectively.Transgenic plants expressing yeast SAMDC produced 1.7-to 2.4-fold higher levels of spermidine and spermine than wild-type plants under high temperature stress,and enhanced antioxidant enzyme activity and the protection of membrane lipid peroxidation was also observed.This subsequently improved the efficiency of CO2 assimilation and protected the plants from high temperature stress,which indicated that the transgenic tomato presented an enhanced tolerance to high temperature stress(38℃) compared with wild-type plants.Our results demonstrated clearly that increasing polyamine biosynthesis in plants may be a means of creating high temperature-tolerant germplasm.Lin Cheng Yijing Zou Shuli Ding Jiajing Zhang Xiaolin Yu Jiashu Cao Gang Lu 2009Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2009,51,5:16
