Cold-chain food contamination as the possible origin of COVID-19 resurgence in Beijing显示文摘COVID-19,caused by SARS-CoV-2[1,2],has been contained in China through stringent non-pharmaceutical interventions.Border control and quarantine have effectively prevented the virus from being spread by infected travellers, but the risk of resurgence caused by other routes of introduction and transmission remains unclear, and current strategies to prevent resurgence could be flawed.Since July,SARS-CoV-2 RNA contaminations in frozen food imported from countries with ongoing epidemics have been reported in nine provinces in China[3,4].However,there is no robust evidence of COVID-19 outbreaks initiated by environmentto-human transmission. Here we add to evidence of such transmission by investigating the recent COVID-19 resurgence in Beijing.Xinghuo Pang Lili Ren Shuangsheng Wu Wentai Ma Jian Yang Lin Di Jie Li Yan Xiao Lu Kang Shichang Du Jing Du Jing Wang Gang Li Shuguang Zhai Lijuan Chen Wenxiong Zhou Shengjie Lai Lei Gao Yang Pan Quanyi Wang Mingkun Li Jianbin Wang Yanyi Huang Jianwei Wang COVID-19 Field Response Group COVID-19 Laboratory Testing Group 2020National Science Review2020,7,12:51
Erianin,a novel dibenzyl compound in Dendrobium extract, inhibits lung cancer cell growth and migration via calcium/calmodulin-dependent ferroptosis显示文摘Ferroptosis,a novel form of programmed cell death,is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation and has been shown to be involved in multiple diseases, including cancer.Stimulating ferroptosis in cancer cells may be a potential strategy for cancer therapy.Therefore,ferroptosis-inducing drugs are attracting more attention for cancer treatment. Here,we showed that erianin,a natural product isolated from Dendrobium chrysotoxum Lindl, exerted its anticancer activity by inducing cell death and inhibiting cell migration in lung cancer cells.Subsequently,we demonstrated for the first time that erianin induced ferroptotic cell death in lung cancer cells, which was accompanied by ROS accumulation, lipid peroxidation, and GSH depletion. The ferroptosis inhibitors Fer-1 and Lip-1 but not Z-VAD-FMK,CQ,or necrostatin-1 rescued erianin-induced cell death, indicating that ferroptosis contributed to erianin-induced cell death.Furthermore,we demonstrated that Ca^(2+)/CaM signaling was a critical mediator of erianin-induced ferroptosis and that blockade of this signaling significantly rescued cell death induced by erianin treatment by suppressing ferroptosis.Taken together, our data suggest that the natural product erianin exerts its anticancer effects by inducing Ca^(2+)/CaMdependent ferroptosis and inhibiting cell migration, and erianin will hopefully serve as a prospective compound for lung cancer treatment.Peng Chen Qibiao Wu Jiao Feng Lili Yan Yitian Sun Shuiping Liu Yu Xiang Mingming Zhang Ting Pan Xiaying Chen Ting Duan Lijuan Zhai Bingtao Zhai Wengang Wang Ruonan Zhang Bi Chen Xuemeng Han Yicong Li Liuxi Chen Ying Liu Xingxing Huang Ting Jin Wenzheng Zhang Hong Luo Xiaohui Chen Yongqiang Li Qiujie Li Guohua Li Qin Zhang Lvjia Zhuo Zuyi Yang Huifen Tang Tian Xie Xiaoping Ouyang Xinbing Sui 2020Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2020,5,1:42
Formation history and protolith characteristics of granulite facies metamorphic rock in Central Cathaysia deduced from U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic studies of single zircon grains显示文摘The petrochemical as well as zircon U-Pb and Lu-Hf isotopic studies of granulite facies metamorphic rock from the Taoxi Group in eastern Nanling Range, Central Cathaysia indicate that its protolith is the sedimentary rock with low maturation index. The clastic materials are mostly from middle Neoproterozoic (~736 Ma) granitoid rocks with minor Neoarchaean and Paleoproterozoic rocks. The timing of this Neoproterozoic magmatism is in agreement with the second period of magmatism widespread surrounding the Yangtze Block. Hf isotopic data indicate that the Neoproterozoic granitoids resulted from the recycled Paleoproterozoic mantle-derived crustal materials. The sedimentary rock was deposited in Late Neoproterozoic Era, and carried into low crust in Early Paleozoic. The partial melting of the meta-sedimentary rock took place at about 480 Ma and subsequently granulite facies metamorphism occurred at ca. 443 Ma. The zircons forming during this time interval (Early Paleozoic) show large Hf isotope variations, and their -Hf(t) values increase from -13.2 to +2.36 with decreasing age, suggesting the injection of mantle-derived materials during partial melting and metamorphism processes in the Early Paleozoic. Calculation results show that this metamorphic rock, if evolved to Mesozoic, has similar isotopic composition to the nearby Mesozoic high Si peraluminous granites, implying that this kind of granulite facies metamorphic rock is probably the source material of some Mesozoic peraluminous granitoids in eastern Nanling Range.YU Jinhai ZHOU Xinmin Y. 5The recommendations of Chinese Parkinson’s disease and movement disorder society consensus on therapeutic management of Parkinson’s disease显示文摘Background:Parkinson’s disease(PD)is a chronic, progressive and debilitating disease, which affects over 2.5 million people in China.PD is characterized clinically by resting tremor, muscular rigidity, bradykinesia and postural instability. As the disease progresses, additional complications can arise such as non-motor and neurobehavioral symptoms.Pharmacological treatment and surgical intervention for PD have been implemented in China.Until 10 years ago, there was lack of standardization for the management of PD in different regions and among different physicians, leading to different treatment levels in different regions and different physicians.Since then, the Chinese Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorder Society have published three versions of guidelines for the management of PD in China,in 2006,2009 and 2014,respectively.Correspondingly,the overall level of treatment for PD in China improved. Objectives:To update the treatment guidelines based on current foreign and domestic practice guidelines and clinical evidence, and to improve the treatment options available to physicians in the management of PD.Summary:A variety of treatment recommendations in the treatment guidelines have been proposed, including physical activity and disease-modifying medication, which should be initiated at the early-stage of the disease. The principles of dosage titration should be followed to avoid acute adverse reactions to the drugs,to achieve a satisfactory clinical effect with a low dose and to reduce the incidence of long-term motor complications. Moreover, different treatment strategies should be considered at different stages of the disease.Importantly, treatment guidelines and personalized treatments should be valued equally.A set of treatment recommendations has been developed to assist physicians to improve and optimize clinical outcomes for patients with PD in China.Shengdi Chen Piu Chan Shenggang Sun Haibo Chen Baorong Zhang Weidong Le Chunfeng Liu Guoguang Peng Beisha Tang Lijuan Wang Yan Cheng Ming Shao Zhenguo Liu Zhenfu Wang Xiaochun Chen Mingwei Wang Xinhua Wan Huifang Shang Yiming Liu Pingyi Xu Jian Wang Tao Feng Xianwen Chen Xingyue Hu Anmu Xie Qin Xiao 2016Translational Neurodegeneration2016,5,1:23
Trends in cancer mortality in China from 2004 to 2018:A nationwide longitudinal study显示文摘Background:The long-term trend in cancer death in a rapidly developing country provides information for cancer prophylaxis. Here,we aimed to identify the trends in cancer mortality in China during the 2004-2018 period. Methods:Using raw data from the national mortality surveillance system of China,we assessed the mortalities of all cancer and site-specific cancers during the 2004-2018 period. The participants were divided into three age groups:≥65 years,40-64 years,and≤39 years.Changing trends in cancer death by gender, residency, and tumor location were estimated using fitting joinpoint models to log-transformed crude mortality rates(CMRs)and age-standardizedmortality rates(ASMRs).Results:Cancer death accounted for 24% of all-cause of death in China during 2014-2018.The CMR of all cancer was 150.0 per 100,000 persons.Cancer was the leading cause of death in the population<65 years. The six major cancer types(lung/bronchus cancer, liver cancer, stomach cancer, esophagus cancer, colorectal cancer, and pancreas cancer)accounted for 75.85% of all cancer deaths. The CMR of all cancer increased while the ASMR decreased during 2014-2018(P<0.001).Lung/bronchus cancer and liver cancer were the leading causes of cancer death in the population<65 years, accounting for 45.31%(CMR)and 44.35%(ASMR)of all cancer death, respectively. The ASMR of liver cancer was higher in the 40-64 years population than in the≥65 years population,in contrast to the other five major cancers. The ASMRs of liver cancer, stomach cancer, and esophagus cancer decreased although they were higher in rural residents than in urban residents;the ASMRs of lung/bronchus cancer, colorectal cancer, and pancreas cancer increased in rural residents although they were higher in urban residents than in rural residents during 2014-2018.Conclusion:Although the ASMR of all cancer decreased in China during 2004-2018,lung/bronchus cancer and liver cancer remained the leading causes of cancer-related premature death.Lung/bronchus cancer, colorectal cancer, and pancreas cancer increased in rural residents.Dongming Jiang Lijuan Zhang Wenbin Liu Yibo Ding Jianhua Yin Rongbing Ren Qi Li Yifan Chen Jiaying Shen Xiaojie Tan Hongwei Zhang Guangwen Cao 2021Cancer Communications2021,41,10:23
A Review of Seasonal Climate Prediction Research in China显示文摘The ultimate goal of climate research is to produce climate predictions on various time scales. In China, efforts to predict the climate started in the 1930 s. Experimental operational climate forecasts have been performed since the late 1950 s,based on historical analog circulation patterns. However, due to the inherent complexity of climate variability, the forecasts produced at that time were fairly inaccurate. Only from the late 1980 s has seasonal climate prediction experienced substantial progress, when the Tropical Ocean and Global Atmosphere project of the World Climate Research program(WCRP) was launched. This paper, following a brief description of the history of seasonal climate prediction research, provides an overview of these studies in China. Processes and factors associated with the climate variability and predictability are discussed based on the literature published by Chinese scientists. These studies in China mirror aspects of the climate research effort made in other parts of the world over the past several decades, and are particularly associated with monsoon research in East Asia. As the climate warms, climate extremes, their frequency, and intensity are projected to change, with a large possibility that they will increase. Thus, seasonal climate prediction is even more important for China in order to effectively mitigate disasters produced by climate extremes, such as frequent floods, droughts, and the heavy frozen rain events of South China.WANG Huijun FAN Ke SUN Jianqi LI Shuanglin LIN Zhaohui ZHOU Guangqing CHEN Lijuan LANG Xianmei LI Fang ZHU Yali CHEN Hong ZHENG Fei 2015Advances in Atmospheric Sciences2015,32,2:20

PM_(2.5)-bound polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) in Beijing:Seasonal variations, sources, and risk assessment显示文摘Polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons(PAHs) have been of health concern due to its carcinogenesis and mutagenesis. In this study, we aimed to assess the variations, sources, and lifetime excessive cancer risk(ECR) attributable to PAHs bound to ambient particulate matters with aerodynamic diameter less than 2.5 μm(PM_(2.5)) in metropolitan Beijing, China. We collected24-hour integrated PM_(2.5) samples on daily basis between November 2014 and June 2015 across both central heating(cold months) and non-heating(warm months) seasons, and further analyzed the PAH components in these daily PM_(2.5) samples. Our results showed that total concentrations of PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs varied between(88.6 ± 75.4) ng/m^3 in the cold months and(11.0 ± 5.9) ng/m^3 in the warm months. Benzo[a]pyrene(Ba P), the carcinogenic marker of PAHs,averaged at 5.7 and 0.4 ng/m^3 in the cold and warm months, respectively. Source apportionment analyses illustrated that gasoline, biomass burning, diesel, coal combustion and cooking were the major contributors, accounting for 12.9%, 17.8%, 24.7%, 24.3% and 6.4% of PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs, respectively. The BaP equivalent lifetime ECR from inhalation of PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs was 16.2 cases per million habitants. Our results suggested that ambient particulate reduction from energy reconstruction and adaption of clean fuels would result in reductions PM_(2.5)-bound PAHs and its associated cancer risks. However, as only particulate phased PAHs was analyzed in the present study, the concentration of ambient PAHs could be underestimated.Baihuan Feng Lijuan Li Hongbing Xu Tong Wang Rongshan Wu Jie Chen Yi Zhang Shuo Liu Steven Sai Hang Ho Junji Cao Wei Huang 2019Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,3:17
A survey of remote sensing-based aboveground biomass estimation methods in forest ecosystems显示文摘Remote sensing-based methods of aboveground biomass(AGB)estimation in forest ecosystems have gained increased attention, and substantial research has been conducted in the past three decades. This paper provides a survey of current biomass estimation methods using remote sensing data and discusses four critical issues–collection of field-based biomass reference data, extraction and selection of suitable variables from remote sensing data, identification of proper algorithms to develop biomass estimation models, and uncertainty analysis to refine the estimation procedure.Additionally,we discuss the impacts of scales on biomass estimation performance and describe a general biomass estimation procedure.Although optical sensor and radar data have been primary sources for AGB estimation, data saturation is an important factor resulting in estimation uncertainty.LIght Detection and Ranging(lidar)can remove data saturation, but limited availability of lidar data prevents its extensive application. This literature survey has indicated the limitations of using single-sensor data for biomass estimation and the importance of integrating multi-sensor/scale remote sensing data to produce accurate estimates over large areas.More research is needed to extract a vertical vegetation structure(e.g.canopy height)from interferometry synthetic aperture radar(InSAR)or optical stereo images to incorporate it into horizontal structures(e.g.canopy cover)in biomass estimation modeling.Dengsheng Lu Qi Chen Guangxing Wang Lijuan Liu Guiying Li Emilio Moran 2016International Journal of Digital Earth2016,9,1:17
Full-thickness tissue engineered skin constructed with autogenic bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells显示文摘To explore the feasibility of repairing clinical cutaneous deficiency, autogenic bone marrow mesen-chymal stem cells (BMSCs) were isolated and differentiated into epidermal cells and fibroblasts in vitro supplemented with different inducing factors and biomaterials to construct functional tissue- engineered skin. The results showed that after 72 h induction, BMSCs displayed morphologic changes such as typical epidermal cell arrangement, from spindle shape to round or oval; tonofibrils, melano-somes and keratohyaline granules were observed under a transmission electronic microscope. The differentiated cells expressed epidermal stem cell surface marker CK19 (59.66% ± 4.2%) and epidermal cells differentiation marker CK10. In addition, the induced epidermal cells acquired the anti-radiation capacity featured by lowered apoptosis following exposure to UVB. On the other hand, the collagen microfibrils deposition was noticed under a transmission electronic microscope after differentiating into dermis fibroblasts; RT-PCR identified collagen type I mRNA expression in differentiated cells; radioimmunoassay detected the secretion of interleukin-6 (IL-6) and interleukin-8 (IL-8) (up to 115.06 pg/mL and 0.84 ng/mL, respectively). Further in vivo implanting BMSCs with scaffold material short-ened skin wound repair significantly. In one word, autogenic BMSCs have the potential to differentiate into epidermal cells and fibroblasts in vitro, and show clinical feasibility acting as epidermis-like and dermis-like seed cells in skin engineering.HE LiJuan, NAN Xue, WANG YunFang, GUAN LiDong, BAI CiXian, SHI ShuangShuang, YUAN HongFeng, CHEN Lin, LIU DaQing & PEI XueTao Laboratory of Stem Cells and Regenerative Medicine, Institute of Blood Transfusion, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, Beijing 100850, China 2007Science China(Life Sciences)2007,50,4:16
Calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside stimulates osteoblast differentiation through regulating the BMP/WNT signaling pathways显示文摘The iso fl avone calycosin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(CG) is a principal constituent of Astragalus membranaceus(AR) and has been reported to inhibit osteoclast development in vitro and bone loss in vivo. The aim of this study was to investigate the osteogenic effects of CG and its underlying mechanism in ST2 cells. The results show that exposure of cells to CG in osteogenic differentiation medium increases ALP activity, osteocalcin(Ocal) m RNA expression and the osteoblastic mineralization process. Mechanistically, CG treatment increased the expression of bone morphogenetic protein 2(BMP-2), p-Smad 1/5/8, β-catenin and Runx2, all of which are regulators of the BMP- or wingless-type MMTV integration site family(WNT)/β-catenin-signaling pathways. Moreover, the osteogenic effects of CG were inhibited by Noggin and DKK-1 which are classical inhibitors of the BMP and WNT/β-catenin-signaling pathways, respectively. Taken together, the results indicate that CG promotes the osteoblastic differentiation of ST2 cells through regulating the BMP/WNT signaling pathways. On this basis, CG may be a useful lead compound for improving the treatment of bone-decreasing diseases and enhancing bone regeneration.Jing Jian Lijuan Sun Xun Cheng Xiaofang Hu Jichao Liang Yong Chen 2015Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2015,5,5:16
The CAMS Climate System Model and a Basic Evaluation of Its Climatology and Climate Variability Simulation显示文摘A new coupled climate system model(CSM) has been developed at the Chinese Academy of Meteorological Sciences(CAMS) by employing several state-of-the-art component models. The coupled CAMS-CSM consists of the modified atmospheric model [ECmwf-HAMburg(ECHAM5)], ocean model [Modular Ocean Model(MOM4)], sea ice model [Sea Ice Simulator(SIS)], and land surface model [Common Land Model(CoLM)]. A detailed model description is presented and both the pre-industrial and 'historical' simulations are preliminarily evaluated in this study. The model can reproduce the climatological mean states and seasonal cycles of the major climate system quantities, including the sea surface temperature, precipitation, sea ice extent, and the equatorial thermocline. The major climate variability modes are also reasonably captured by the CAMS-CSM, such as the Madden–Julian Oscillation(MJO), El Ni?o–Southern Oscillation(ENSO), East Asian Summer Monsoon(EASM), and Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO).The model shows a promising ability to simulate the EASM variability and the ENSO–EASM relationship. Some biases still exist, such as the false double-intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ) in the annual mean precipitation field, the overestimated ENSO amplitude, and the weakened Bjerknes feedback associated with ENSO; and thus the CAMS-CSM needs further improvements.Xinyao RONG Jian LI Haoming CHEN Yufei XIN Jingzhi SU Lijuan HUA Tianjun ZHOU Yanjun QI Zhengqiu ZHANG Guo ZHANG Jianduo LI 2018Journal of Meteorological Research2018,32,6:15
Coronavirus disease(COVID-19):The need to maintain regular physical activity while taking precautions显示文摘The on-going Coronavirus disease(COVID-19)outbreak in China has become the world's leading health headline and is causing major panic and public concerns. On January 30,2020,the World Health Organization(WHO)declared that the new coronavirus outbreak is a public health emergency of international concern.1 The virus has already had a direct impact on more than 10 million people in the city of Wuhan and has reached other parts of China as well, posing a health threat of unknown magnitude globally. As of February 8,2020,WHO reported 34,886 confirmed cases of COVID-19 globally, with 34,589 of them occurring in China(including 6101 severe cases and 723 deaths).A total of 288 other confirmed cases(with 1 death)have been reported in 24 countries, including Japan,Australia,Germany, and United States.2 However, these daily estimates are expected to rise even higher as reports from health authorities in China3 are gathered and near real-time updates of the Johns Hopkins virus dashboard are made 4 The outbreak has caused governments in various countries to take swift and protective measures. In China, these included putting cities on lockdown,5 implementing travel wamings/bans and cancellations,6 extending national holidays, and closing schools and postponing classes7.Peijie Chen Lijuan Mao George P.Nassis Peter Harmer Barbara E.Ainsworth Fuzhong Li 2020Journal of Sport and Health Science2020,9,2:15

Germanium/perovskite heterostructure for high-performance and broadband photodetector from visible to infrared telecommunication band显示文摘A high-performance and broadband heterojunction photodetector has been successfully fabricated. The heterostructure device is based on a uniform and pinhole-free perovskite film constructed on top of a single-crystal germanium layer. The perovskite/germanium photodetector shows enhanced performance and a broad spectrum compared with the single-material-based device. The photon response properties are characterized in detail from the visible to near-infrared spectrum. At an optical fibre communication wavelength of 1550 nm,the heterojunction device exhibits the highest responsivity of 1.4 A/W.The performance is promoted because of an antireflection perovskite coating, the thickness of which is optimized to 150 nm at the telecommunication band.At a visible light wavelength of 680 nm,the device shows outstanding responsivity and detectivity of 228 A/W and 1.6×10^(10) Jones, respectively. These excellent properties arise from the photoconductive gain boost in the heterostructure device. The presented heterojunction photodetector provides a competitive approach for wide-spectrum photodetection from visible to optical communication areas.Based on the distinguished capacity of light detection and harvesting from the visible to near-infrared spectrum, the designed germanium/perovskite heterostructure configuration is believed to provide new building blocks for novel optoelectronic devices.Wei Hu Hui Cong Wei Huang Yu Huang Lijuan Chen Anlian Pan Chunlai Xue 2019Light(Science & Applications)2019,8,1:14
Expression and Function of Zinc-α2-Glycoprotein显示文摘Zinc-α2-glycoprotein(ZAG), encoded by the AZGP1 gene, is a major histocompatibility complex I molecule and a lipid-mobilizing factor. ZAG has been demonstrated to promote lipid metabolism and glucose utilization, and to regulate insulin sensitivity. Apart from adipose tissue, skeletal muscle, liver, and kidney, ZAG also occurs in brain tissue, but its distribution in brain is debatable. Only a few studies have investigated ZAG in the brain. It has been found in the brains of patients with Krabbe disease and epilepsy, and in the cerebrospinal fluid of patients with Alzheimer disease, frontotemporal lobe dementia, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. Both ZAG protein and AZGP1 m RNA are decreased in epilepsy patients and animal models, while overexpression of ZAG suppresses seizure and epileptic discharges in animal models of epilepsy, but knowledge of the specific mechanism of ZAG in epilepsy is limited. In this review, we summarize the known roles and molecular mechanisms of ZAG in lipid metabolism and glucose metabolism, and in the regulation of insulin sensitivity, and discuss the possible mechanisms by which it suppresses epilepsy.Xin Wei Xi Liu Changhong Tan Lijuan Mo Hui Wang Xi Peng Fen Deng Lifen Chen 2019Neuroscience Bulletin2019,35,3:14
Isolated Cases of Plague--Inner Mongolia-Beijing, 2019显示文摘What is already known about this topic?Plague is an acute infectious disease caused by Yersinia pestis(Y.pestis)and is primarily transmitted by rodents.Human can be infected by bites of bacterium-bearing fleas or direct contact with diseased or dead plagueinfected animals. In 2004,the last human plague case was reported in Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region due to skinning a dead hare. What is added by this report? This is the first case of pneumonic plague imported into a major city since the founding of the People's Republic of China. Two primary pneumonic plague cases(Patients A and B)found in residents of Inner Mongolia were confirmed in Beijing on November 12,2019.Another case(Patient C)of Y.pestis was identified as bubonic plague on November 14.Patient A most likely became infected from aerosol exposure to infective droplets while digging on his farm, located in an Meriones unguiculatus(M.unguiculatus)natural plague focus.Patient B became infected from contact with Patient A(her husband).Patient C became infected after skinning a dead hare. There was no epidemiological relationship between the Patient A/B and Patient C.What are the implications for public health practice? When epizootic plague is detected, local health-care providers and the public should be alerted about any possible risks.Public education efforts should focus on promoting personal protection measures.Yumeng Wang Lei Zhou Mengguang Fan Quanyi Wang Jianyun Li Qun Li Zijian Feng George FGao Cheng Xu Lijuan Chen Wei Li Yanping Zhang 2019China CDC weekly2019,1,1:13
Gold nanorods together with HSP inhibitor-VER-155008 micelles for colon cancer mild-temperature photothermal therapy显示文摘Enhancing the heat-sensitivity of tumor cells provides an alternative solution to maintaining the therapeutic outcome of photothermal therapy(PTT). In this study, we constructed a therapeutic system, which was composed of methoxy-polyethylene-glycol-coated-gold-nanorods(MPEG-AuN R) and VER-155008-micelles, to evaluate the effect of VER-155008 on the sensitivity of tumor cells to heat, and further investigate the therapeutic outcome of MPEG-AuN R mediated PTT combined with VER-155008-micelles. VER-155008-micelles downregulate the expression of heat shock proteins and attenuate the heat-resistance of tumor cell. The survival of HCT116 cells treated with VER-155008-micelles under 45 ℃ is equal to that treated with high temperature hyperthermia(55 ℃) in vitro. Furthermore, we proved either the MPEG-AuN R or VER-155008-micelles can be accumulate in the tumor site by photoacoustic imaging and fluorescent imaging. In vivo anti-cancer evaluation showed that tumor size remarkably decreased(smaller than 100 mm^3 or vanished) when treated with combing 45℃ mild PTT system, which contrasted to the tumor size when treated with individual 45℃ mild PTT(around 500nm^3) or normal saline as control(larger than 2000 nm^3). These results proved that the VER-155008-micelles can attenuate the heat-resistance of tumor cells and enhance the therapeutic outcome of mild-temperature photothermal therapy.Xichuan Tang Liwei Tan Kun Shi Jinrong Peng Yao Xiao Wenting Li Lijuan Chen Qian Yang Zhiyong Qian 2018Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2018,8,4:12
Meeting 24-h movement guidelines: Prevalence, correlates, and the relationships with overweight and obesity among Chinese children and adolescents显示文摘Background:Meeting 24-h movement guidelines by children and adolescents has been associated with improved indicators of health, although it has been under-studied in China.Hence, this study aimed to investigate the prevalence of meeting the 24-h movement guidelines, its correlates, and its relationships with body mass index in children and adolescents in China.Methods:Cross-sectional data from the 2017 Youth Study in China of 114,072 children and adolescents(mean age=13.75 years,49.18%boys)were used.Meeting 24-h movement guidelines(60 min of daily moderate-to-vigorous physical activity,2 h of daily leisure screen time,911 h and 810 h nightly sleep duration for 613-year-olds and 1417-year-olds,respectively)and height and weight of all participants were assessed. The prevalence of meeting the 24-h movement guidelines and World Health Organization weight status categories were determined.Generalized linear models were used to determine the correlates of meeting the 24-h movement guidelines and the relationships of meeting the 24-h movement guidelines with overweight(OW)and obesity(OB).Results:Only 5.12%of Chinese children and adolescents met the 24-h movement guidelines, and 22.44%were classified as OW/OB.Older children and adolescents were less likely to meet the 24-h movement guidelines.Parental education level and family income were positively related to meeting the 24-h movement guidelines.Children and adolescents meeting the 24-h movement guidelines showed lower odds ratios for OW/OB.Compared with participants meeting the 24-h movement guidelines, boys in 4th6th grades met none of the recommendations(OR=1.22,95%CI:1.061.40),met the screen time recommendation only(OR=1.13,95%CI:1.011.28),met the nightly sleep duration recommendation only(OR=1.14,95%CI:1.031.28),and had significantly higher odds ratios for OW/OB.Similar trends were observed for girls in 4th6th grades:meeting none of the guidelines(OR=1.35,95%CI:1.141.59),meeting sleep duration guidelines only(OR=1.23,95%CI:1.081.39),and meeting moderate-to-vigorous physical activity+nightly sleep duration guidelines(OR=1.24,95%CI:1.011.54).For girls in 7th9th grades, the following trend was observed:meeting none of the guidelines(OR=1.30,95%CI:1.011.67).Conclusion:Very few Chinese children and adolescents met the 24-h movement guidelines.Age(negatively correlated),parental education level, and family income(both positively correlated)were correlates of meeting the 24-h movement guidelines.Children and adolescents meeting the 24-h movement guidelines were more likely to have lower risks for OW/OB,especially in the youngest age group(Grades 46);and girls in the middle age group(Grades 79)were also more likely to have lower risks for OW/OB.Further research studies should explore additional correlates and determinants for meeting the 24-h movement guidelines. Also, future studies should use longitudinal or interventional designs to determine the relationships between meeting the 24-h movement guidelines and OW/OB and other health indicators, while taking sex and age differences into account.Si-Tong Chen Yang Liu Mark S.Tremblay Jin-Tao Hong Yan Tang Zhen-Bo Cao Jie Zhuang Zheng Zhu Xueping Wu Lijuan Wang Yujun Cai Peijie Chen 2021Journal of Sport and Health Science2021,10,3:12
