1Building a sequence map of the pig pan-genome from multiple de novo assemblies and Hi-C data显示文摘Pigs were domesticated independently in the Near East and China,indicating that a single reference genome from one individual is unable to represent the full spectrum of divergent sequences in pigs worldwide.Therefore,12 de novo pig assemblies from Eurasia were compared in this study to identify the missing sequences from the reference genome.As a result,72.5 Mb of nonredundant sequences(~3% of the genome)were found to be absent from the reference genome(Sscrofa11.1)and were defined as pan-sequences.Of the pan-sequences,9.0 Mb were dominant in Chinese pigs,in contrast with their low frequency in European pigs.One sequence dominant in Chinese pigs contained the complete genic region of the tazarotene-induced gene 3(TIG3)gene which is involved in fatty acid metabolism.Using flanking sequences and Hi-C based methods,27.7% of the sequences could be anchored to the reference genome.The supplementation of these sequences could contribute to the accurate interpretation of the 3D chromatin structure.A web-based pan-genome database was further provided to serve as a primary resource for exploration of genetic diversity and promote pig breeding and biomedical research.Xiaomeng Tian Ran Li Weiwei Fu Yan Li Xihong Wang Ming Li Duo Du Qianzi Tang Yudong Cai Yiming Long Yue Zhao Mingzhou Li Yu Jiang 2020Science China(Life Sciences)2020,63,5:7

3The nodulation and nyctinastic leaf movement is orchestrated by clock gene LHY in Medicago truncatula显示文摘As sessile organisms,plants perceive,respond,and adapt to the environmental changes for optimal growth and survival.The plant growth and fitness are enhanced by circadian clocks through coordination of numerous biological events.In legume species,nitrogen-fixing root nodules were developed as the plant organs specialized for symbiotic transfer of ni-trogen between microsymbiont and host.Here,we report that the endogenous circadian rhythm in nodules is regulated by MtLHY in legume species Medicago truncatula.Loss of function of MtLHY leads to a reduction in the number of nodules formed,resulting in a diminished ability to assimilate nitrogen.The operation of the 24-h rhythm in shoot is further influenced by the availability of nitrogen produced by the nodules,leading to the irregulated nyctinastic leaf movement and reduced biomass in mtlhy mutants.These data shed new light on the roles of MtLHY in the orchestration of circadian oscillator in nodules and shoots,which provides a mechanistic link between nodulation,nitrogen assimilation,and clock function.Yiming Kong Lu Han Xiu Liu Hongfeng Wang Lizhu Wen Xiaolin Yu Xiaodong Xu Fanjiang Kong Chunxiang Fu Kirankumar S.Mysore Jiangqi Wen Chuanen Zhou 2020Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2020,62,12:4
4NOVEL 6-DOF WEARABLE EXOSKELETON ARM WITH PNEUMATIC FORCE-FEEDBACK FOR BILATERAL TELEOPERATION显示文摘A particular emphasis is put on a novel wearable exoskeleton arm,ZJUESA,with 6 degrees of freedom,which is used for the robot teleoperation with the force-feedback in the unknown environment.In this external structure mechanism,the 3-revolution-prismatic-spherical(3RPS) parallel mechanism is devised from the concept of the human upper-limb anatomy and applied for the shoulder 3-DOF joint.Meanwhile,the orthogonal experiment design method is introduced for its optimal design.Aiming at enhancing the performance of teleoperation,the force feedback is employed by the pneumatic system on ZJUESA to produce the vivid feeling in addition to the soft control interface.Due to the compressibility and nonlinearity of the pneumatic force feedback system, a novel hybrid fuzzy controller for the precise force control is proposed and realized based on the Mega8 microcontroller units as the units of the distributed control system on ZJUESA.With the results of several experiments for master-slave control with force feedback,the feasibility of ZJUESA system and the effect of its hybrid fuzzy controller are verified.ZHANG Jiafan FU Hailun DONG Yiming ZHANG Yu YANG Canjun CHEN Ying 2008Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2008,21,3:3
5A NEW UNSUPERVISED CLASSIFICATION ALGORITHM FOR POLARIMETRIC SAR IMAGES BASED ON FUZZY SET THEORY显示文摘In this letter, a new method is proposed for unsupervised classification of terrain types and man-made objects using POLarimetric Synthetic Aperture Radar (POLSAR) data. This technique is a combi-nation of the usage of polarimetric information of SAR images and the unsupervised classification method based on fuzzy set theory. Image quantization and image enhancement are used to preprocess the POLSAR data. Then the polarimetric information and Fuzzy C-Means (FCM) clustering algorithm are used to classify the preprocessed images. The advantages of this algorithm are the automated classification, its high classifica-tion accuracy, fast convergence and high stability. 7LIM domain proteins Pinch1/2 regulate chondrogenesis and bone mass in mice显示文摘The LIM domain-containing proteins Pinch1/2 regulate integrin activation and cell–extracellular matrix interaction and adhesion.Here,we report that deleting Pinch1 in limb mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)and Pinch2 globally(double knockout;dKO)in mice causes severe chondrodysplasia,while single mutant mice do not display marked defects.Pinch deletion decreases chondrocyte proliferation,accelerates cell differentiation and disrupts column formation.Pinch loss drastically reduces Smad2/3 protein expression in proliferative zone(PZ)chondrocytes and increases Runx2 and Col10a1 expression in both PZ and hypertrophic zone(HZ)chondrocytes.Pinch loss increases sclerostin and Rankl expression in HZ chondrocytes,reduces bone formation,and increases bone resorption,leading to low bone mass.In vitro studies revealed that Pinch1 and Smad2/3 colocalize in the nuclei of chondrocytes.Through its C-terminal region,Pinch1 interacts with Smad2/3 proteins.Pinch loss increases Smad2/3 ubiquitination and degradation in primary bone marrow stromal cells(BMSCs).Pinch loss reduces TGF-β-induced Smad2/3 phosphorylation and nuclear localization in primary BMSCs.Interestingly,compared to those from single mutant mice,BMSCs from dKO mice express dramatically lower protein levels ofβ-catenin and Yap1/Taz and display reduced osteogenic but increased adipogenic differentiation capacity.Finally,ablating Pinch1 in chondrocytes and Pinch2 globally causes severe osteopenia with subtle limb shortening.Collectively,our findings demonstrate critical roles for Pinch1/2 and a functional redundancy of both factors in the control of chondrogenesis and bone mass through distinct mechanisms.Yiming Lei Xuekun Fu Pengyu Li Sixiong Lin Qinnan Yan Yumei Lai Xin Liu Yishu Wang Xiaochun Bai Chuanju Liu Di Chen Xuenong Zou Xu Cao Huiling Cao Guozhi Xiao 2020Bone Research2020,8,4:2
8Effect of matrix cracking on the time delayed buckling of viscoelastic laminated circular cylindrical shells显示文摘The effect of matrix cracking on the bifurcation creep buckling of viscoelastic laminated circular cylindrical shells is investigated.The viscoelastic behavior of laminas is modeled by Schapery's integral constitutive equation with growing matrix cracks.The values of damage variables are correlated to non-dimensional density of matrix cracks relying on the formulas from mesomechanics approach,and the evolution equation predicting the growth rate of density of matrix cracks is assumed to follow a power type relation with transverse tensile stress.The governing equations for prebuckling creep deformation and bifurcation buckling of laminated circular cylindrical shells under axial compression are obtained on the basis of the Donnell type shallow shell theory and Kármán-Donnell geometrically nonlinear relationship.Corresponding solution strategy is constructed by integrating finite-difference technique,trigonometric series expansion method and Taylor's numerical recursive scheme for convolution integration.The bifurcation creep buckling of symmetrically laminated glass-epoxy circular cylindrical shells with matrix creep cracking coupled are examined for various geometrical parameters and parameters of damage evolution as well as boundary conditions.The numerical results show that matrix creep cracking remarkably shortens the critic time of bifurcation buckling and reduces the durable critic loads,and its effects become weak and finally vanish with the increase of the ratio of radius to thickness in the case of short laminated circular cylindrical shells,also the influence of the matrix creep cracking is mainly dependent on the boundary conditions at two ends for moderately long circular cylindrical shells.PENG Fan,FU YiMing & CHEN YaoJun College of Mechanics and Aerospace,Hunan University,Changsha 410082,China 2008Science China(Technological Sciences)2008,51,12:2
9BUCKLING AND POSTBUCKLING ANALYSIS OF ELASTO-PLASTIC FIBER METAL LAMINATES显示文摘The elasto-plastic buckling and postbuckling of fiber metal laminates(FML) are studied in this research. Considering the geometric nonlinearity of the structure and the elastoplastic deformation of the metal layers, the incremental Von Karman geometric relation of the FML with initial deflection is established. Moreover, an incremental elasto-plastic constitutive relation adopting the mixed hardening rule is introduced to depict the stress-strain relationship of the metal layers. Subsequently, the incremental nonlinear governing equations of the FML subjected to in-plane compressive loads are derived, and the whole problem is solved by the iterative method according to the finite difference method. 10MULTI-REGION SEGMENTATION OF SAR IMAGE BY A MULTIPHASE LEVEL SET APPROACH显示文摘In this letter,a multiphase level set approach unifying region and boundary-based infor-mation for multi-region segmentation of Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)image is presented.Anenergy functional that is applicable for SAR image segmentation is defined.It consists of two termsdescribing the local statistic characteristics and the gradient characteristics of SAR image respectively.A multiphase level set model that explicitly describes the different regions in one image is proposed.The purpose of such a multiphase model is not only to simplify the way of denoting multi-region by levelset but also to guarantee the accuracy of segmentation.According to the presented multiphase model,the curve evolution equations with respect to edge curves are deduced.The multi-region segmentationis implemented by the numeric solution of the partial differential equations.The performance of theapproach is verified by both simulation and real SAR images.The experiments show that the proposedalgorithm reduces the speckle effect on segmentation and increases the boundary alignment accuracy,thus correctly divides the multi-region SAR image into different homogenous regions.Fu Yusheng Cao Zongjie Pi Yiming 2008Journal of Electronics(China)2008,25,4:2
11Analysis of nonlinear vibration for symmetric angle-ply laminated viscoelastic plates with damage显示文摘The behavior of nonlinear vibration for symmetric angle-ply laminated plates including the material viscoelasticity and damage evolution is investigated. By employing the von Karman's nonlinear theory, strain energy equivalence principle and Boltzmann superposition principle, a set of governing equations of nonlinear integro-differential type are derived. By applying the finite difference method, Newmark method and iterative procedure, the governing equations are solved. The effects of loading amplitudes, exciting frequencies and different ply orientations on the critical time to failure initiation and nonlinear vibration amplitudes of the structures are discussed. 12Ag nanoparticles preparation and their light trapping performance显示文摘Ag nanoparticles were fabricated on Si substrates by radio-frequency magnetron sputtering and thermal annealing treatments.It was found that Ag nanoparticles are ellipsoid at low annealing temperature,but the axis ratio decreases with the increase of annealing temperature,and a shape transformation from ellipsoid to sphere occurs when the temperature increases to a critical point.The experimental results showed that the surface plasmon resonances depend greatly on the nanoparticles'shape and size,which is in accordance with the theoretical calculation based on discrete dipole approximation.The results of forward-scattering efficiency(FSE) and light trapping spectrum(LTS) showed that Ag nanoparticles annealed at 400°C could strongly enhance the light harvest than those annealed at 300 and 500°C,and that the LTS peak intensity of the former is 1.7 and 1.5 times stronger than those of the later two samples,respectively.The conclusions obtained in this paper showed that Ag ellipsoid nanoparticles with appropriate size is more favorable for enhancing the light trapping.BAI YiMing WANG Jun YIN ZhiGang CHEN NuoFu ZHANG XingWang FU Zhen YAO JianXi LI Ning HE HaiYang GULI MiNa 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,1:2
13NONLINEAR TRANSIENT RESPONSE OF FUNCTIONALLY GRADED SHALLOW SPHERICAL SHELLS SUBJECTED TO MECHANICAL LOAD AND UNSTEADY TEMPERATURE FIELD显示文摘This paper is concerned with the transient deformation of functionally graded(FG)shallow spherical shells subjected to time-dependent thermomechanical load. Based on TimoshenkoMindlin hypothesis and von Karman nonlinear theory, a set of nonlinear governing equations of motion for FG shallow spherical shells in regard to transverse shear deformation and all the inertia terms are established using Hamilton's principle. The collocation point method and Newmarkbeta scheme in conjunction with the finite difference method are adopted to solve the governing equations of motion and the unsteady heat conduction equation numerically. 14Effect of Steam Explosion Technology Main Parameters on Moso Bamboo and Poplar Fiber显示文摘One of the large-scale industrial applications of Moso bamboo and poplar in China is the production of standardized fiberboard.When making fiberboard,a steam blasting pretreatment without the addition of traditional adhesives has become increasingly popular because of its environmental friendliness and wide applicability.In this study,the steam explosion pretreatment of Moso bamboo and poplar was conducted.The steam explosion pressure and holding time were varied to determine the influence of these factors on fiber quality by investigating the morphology of the fiber,the mass ratio of the unexploded specimen at the end face,the chemical composition,and the tensile strength.The following conclusions were drawn:As the steam burst pressure and holding time increased,more cellulose and hemicellulose degradation occurred(the degradation of hemicellulose was greater than that of cellulose),the lignin content rose,and the fiber bundle strength decreased.The degradation of bamboo cellulose was slightly higher than that of poplar,and the degradation of poplar hemicellulose was significantly faster than that of bamboo.Furthermore,increasing the steam explosion pressure and pressure holding time could not effectively increase the lignin content.It is recommended to use a steam blasting pressure of 2.5 MPa or 3.0 MPa and a holding time of 180 s to perform steam blasting on bamboo and poplar specimens.Biqing Shu Qin Ren Lu Hong Zhongping Xiao Xiaoning Lu Wenya Wang Junbao Yu Naiqiang Fu Yiming Gu Jinjun Zheng 2021Journal of Renewable Materials2021,9,3:1

16Application of Nano-Delivery Systems in Lymph Nodes for Tumor Immunotherapy显示文摘Immunotherapy has become a promising research“hotspot”in cancer treatment.“Soldier”immune cells are not uniform throughout the body;they accumulate mostly in the immune organs such as the spleen and lymph nodes(LNs),etc.The unique structure of LNs provides the microenvironment suitable for the survival,activation,and proliferation of multiple types of immune cells.LNs play an important role in both the initiation of adaptive immunity and the generation of durable anti-tumor responses.Antigens taken up by antigen-presenting cells in peripheral tissues need to migrate with lymphatic fluid to LNs to activate the lymphocytes therein.Meanwhile,the accumulation and retaining of many immune functional compounds in LNs enhance their efficacy significantly.Therefore,LNs have become a key target for tumor immunotherapy.Unfortunately,the nonspecific distribution of the immune drugs in vivo greatly limits the activation and proliferation of immune cells,which leads to unsatisfactory anti-tumor effects.The efficient nano-delivery system to LNs is an effective strategy to maximize the efficacy of immune drugs.Nano-delivery systems have shown beneficial in improving biodistribution and enhancing accumulation in lymphoid tissues,exhibiting powerful and promising prospects for achieving effective delivery to LNs.Herein,the physiological structure and the delivery barriers of LNs were summarized and the factors affecting LNs accumulation were discussed thoroughly.Moreover,developments in nano-delivery systems were reviewed and the transformation prospects of LNs targeting nanocarriers were summarized and discussed.Yiming Xia Shunli Fu Qingping Ma Yongjun Liu Na Zhang 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,9:1
