| 1 | Clinical characteristics and effectiveness of antiviral agents in hospitalized children with infectious mononucleosis in China:A multicenter retrospective study显示文摘Importance:The clinical characteristics of infectious mononucleosis(IM)in Chinese children have not been evaluated in multicenter studies,and the effectiveness of antiviral treatment are controversial.Objective:To investigate the clinical characteristics of Chinese children with IM and current status of antiviral therapy for affected patients.Methods:Hospitalized patients with IM were enrolled between 2018 and 2020 in five children’s hospitals in China.The clinical characteristics were compared among four age groups:<3 years,3-<6 years,6-<10 years,and≥10 years.The clinical characteristics of IM and effectiveness of antiviral therapy were compared among patients receiving acyclovir(ACV),ganciclovir(GCV),and no antiviral therapy(i.e.,non-antiviral group).Results:In total,499 patients were analyzed;most patients were 3-<6 years of age.The most common symptoms and signs included fever(100%),lymphadenopathy(98.6%),pharyngitis(86.4%),eyelid edema(76.8%),and snoring(72.9%).There were significant differences in rash,hepatomegaly,and liver dysfunction among the four age groups.Patients aged<3 years had a lower incidence of liver dysfunction and a higher incidence of rash.Among the 499 patients,50.1%were treated with GCV,26.3%were treated with ACV,and 23.6%received no antiviral therapy.Compared with the non-antiviral group,patients in the ACV and GCV groups had longer durations of fever(P<0.001).There were no significant differences in the incidences of complications among the three treatment groups.Interpretation:The incidence of IM in Chinese children peaked at 3-<6 years of age.Clinical features of IM varied according to age.Patients receiving antiviral therapy exhibited more serious clinical manifestations than did patients without antiviral therapy.The effectiveness of antiviral therapy for IM requires further analysis. | Huili Hu Huiling Deng Jing Bi Yi Xu Shuangjie Li Yue Xie Xinrong Sun Dongmeng Wang Xufang Li Wenxian Ouyang Bing Hu Yufeng Zhang He Tang Chunxiao Fang Hui Zhang Lingyun Guo Chen Wang Tianyi Wang Fengxia Yang Tao Jiang Zhengde Xie Gang Liu | 2021 | Pediatric Investigation2021,5,3: | 12 |
| 2 | Successive inverse and normal magnetocaloric effects in the Mn-vacancy compound Mn0.95Co0.75Cu0.25Ge显示文摘Ferromagnetic-structural transformation has been studied widely in MnCoGe-based materials. However, the magnetostructural transition(MST) from antiferromagnetic(AFM) orthorhombic phase to ferromagnetic(FM) hexagonal phase, which may lead to a large inverse magnetocaloric effect(MCE), has rarely been reported. Here, the introduction of Mn vacancy lowers the structural transition temperature while retains the AFM state in the orthorhombic phase, thus successfully realizing the AFM-FM MST in Mn0.95Co0.75Cu0.25Ge. Moreover, successive inverse and normal MCEs are observed around the first-order AFM-FM MST and the second-order FM-paramagnetic(PM) transition, respectively. A thermostat is proposed based on this special feature, which could release heat above the critical temperature while absorb heat below the critical temperature by simply applying the same magnetization/demagnetization cycles. | 3 | Effects of interstitial H and/or C atoms on the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of La(Fe, Si)_(13)-based compounds显示文摘La(Fe,Si)13-based compounds have been considered as promising candidates for magnetic refrigerants particularly near room temperature.Herein we review recent progress particularly in the study of the effects of interstitial H and/or C atoms on the magnetic and magnetocaloric properties of La(Fe,Si)13compounds.By introducing H and/or C atoms,the Curie temperature TC increases notably with the increase of lattice expansion which makes the Fe 3d band narrow and reduces the overlap of the Fe 3d wave functions.The first-order itinerant-electron metamagnetic transition is conserved and the MCE still remains high after hydrogen absorption.In contrast,the characteristic of magnetic transition varies from first-order to second-order with the increase of C concentration,which leads to remarkable reduction of thermal and magnetic hysteresis.In addition,the introduction of interstitial C atoms promotes the formation of NaZn13-type(1:13)phase in La(Fe,Si)13compounds,and thus reducing the annealing time significantly from 40 days for LaFe11.7Si1.3to a week for LaFe11.7Si1.3C0.2.The pre-occupied interstitial C atoms may depress the rate of hydrogen absorption and release,which is favorable to the accurate control of hydrogen content.It is found that the reduction of particle size would greatly depress the hysteresis loss and improve the hydrogenation process.By the incorporation of both H and C atoms,large MCE without hysteresis loss can be obtained in La(Fe,Si)13compounds around room temperature,for instance,La0.7Pr0.3Fe11.5Si1.5C0.2H1.2exhibits a large|SM|of 22.1 J/(kg·K)at TC=321 K without hysteresis loss for a field change of 0 5 T. | ZHANG Hu HU FengXia SUN JiRong SHEN BaoGen | 2013 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2013,56,12: | 6 |

| 17 | Enhanced thermoelectric performance and atomic-resolution interfacial structures in BiSbTe thermo-electro-magnetic nanocomposites incorporating magnetocaloric LaFeSi nanoparticles显示文摘Incorporating magnetic nanoparticles in thermoelectric(TE)materials introduce magnetic interfaces with additional electron and phonon scattering mechanism for high TE performance.However,the influence of heterogeneous interfaces between magnetic nanoparticles and TE matrix on electronic and thermal transport remains elusive in the thermo-electric-magnetic nanocomposites.Here,using p-type TE material Bi_(0.3)Sb_(1.7)Te_(3)(BST)as matrix and magnetocaloric(MC)material La(Fe_(0.92)Co_(0.08))_(11.9)Si_(1.1)(LFS)nanoparticles as a second phase,TE/MC nanocomposites xLFS/BST(x=0.1%,0.2%,0.3% and 0.4%)were synthesized using spark plasma sintering method.The atomic-resolution interfacial structures demonstrate that Te vacancies originating from LFS-BST interfacial reaction decreases the hole concentration of the LFS/BST nanocomposites and enhances the Seebeck coefficient.The LFS/BST nanocomposites exhibit lower thermal conductivity due to enhanced phonon scattering by interfaces and defects.All the nanocomposites have higher ZT than BST matrix,with 0.2% LFS/BST nanocomposite achieving highest ZT=1.11 at 380 K.At working current 1.4 A,the device fabricated using 0.2% LFS/BST nanocomposite achieves maximal cooling temperature 4.9 K,which is 58% higher than the matrix.Moreover,the MC properties are retained in all the nanocomposites,which make them a promising candidate to achieve high TE performance and dual TE/MC properties for future applications. | Lin Xing Wenjun Cui Xiahan Sang Fengxia Hu Ping Wei Wanting Zhu Xiaolei Nie Qingjie Zhang Wenyu Zhao | 2021 | Journal of Materiomics2021,7,5: | 1 |
