3Propagation of plane wave in non-homogeneously saturated soils显示文摘Based on Biot's model for fluid-saturated media,which takes the inertial,fluid viscous,mechanical couplings,compressibility of grains and fluid into account,the dispersion equations of plane waves in non-homogeneously saturated soil are established by using reverberation ray matrix method(RRMM) with the aid of Helmholtz theorem.The non-homogeneity considered is a gradient variation in material properties with depth.The propagation characteristic of elastic waves in non-homogeneously saturated soil is analyzed by numerical example in this paper.The results show that the wave number and dissipation change little for two kinds of compression along the variation direction of the material properties,however,the non-homogeneity has significant effect on the wave number and dissipation of shear wave.ZHOU FengXi LAI YuanMing SONG RuiXia 2013Science China(Technological Sciences)2013,56,2:15

5Comparison of breast-conserving surgery and mastectomy in early breast cancer using observational data revisited:a propensity score-matched analysis显示文摘Recent observational studies showed that breast-conserving surgery(BCS) resulted in superior survival compared to mastectomy in breast cancer patients. This study compared the clinical outcomes of BCS and mastectomy using propensity score(PS)matching analysis, which had advantages over conventional methods in reducing bias. Nonmetastatic breast cancer patients who underwent BCS and mastectomy were matched 1:1 based on their PS. We used the Kaplan-Meier method and Cox-regression model to estimate the treatment effects. A total of 2,866 patients with a median follow-up time of 67 months were included in the original study population. Although the mastectomy cohort(N=1,219) had more advanced disease compared to the BCS cohort(N=1,647), LRFS was similar between the two groups(93.8% vs. 92.4%, P>0.05). BCS(vs. mastectomy) was associated with improved DFS(73.8% vs. 58.7%, P<0.01) and CSS(91% vs. 78.2%, P<0.01) in the original population. In the PS-matched population(N=1,668), clinicopathological features were equally distributed between the two cohorts. BCS(vs. mastectomy) was not associated with improved DFS(70.7% vs. 66.9%, P>0.05) or CSS(87.5% vs. 84.9%, P>0.05). We found that PS methods reduce bias when estimating treatment effects using observational data. 11Transcriptome Analysis Reveals Clues into leaf-like flower mutant in Chinese orchid Cymbidium ensifolium显示文摘The floral morphology of Cymbidium ensifolium,a well-known orchid in China,has increasingly attracted horticultural and commercial attention.However,the molecular mechanisms that regulate flower development defects in C.ensifolium mutants are poorly understood.In this work,we examined a domesticated variety of C.ensifolium named‘CuiYuMuDan',or leaf-like flower mutant,which lacks typical characteristics of orchid floral organs but continues to produce sepal-to leaf-like structures along the inflorescence.We used comparative transcriptome analysis to identify 6234 genes that are differentially expressed between mutant and wild-type flowers.The majority of these differentially expre ssed genes are involved in membrane-building,anabolism regulation,and plant hormone signal transduction,implying that in the leaf-like mutant these processes play roles in the development of flower defects.In addition,we identified 152 differentially expre ssed transcription factors,including the bHLH,MYB,MIKC,and WRKY gene families.Moreover,we found 20 differentially expressed genes that are commonly involved in flower development,including MADS-box genes,CLAVATA3(CLV3),WUSCHEL(WUS),and PERIANTHIA(PAN).Among them,floral homeotic genes were further investigated by phylogenetic analysis and expression validation,which displayed distinctive spatial expression patterns and significant changes between the wild type and the mutant.This is the first report on the C.ensifolium leaf-like flower mutant transcriptome.Our results shed light on the molecular regulation of orchid flower development,and may improve our understanding of floral patterning regulation and advance molecular breeding of Chinese orchids.Yonglu Wei Jianpeng Jin Xiani Yao Chuqiao Lu Genfa Zhu Fengxi Yang 2020Plant Diversity2020,42,2:4

14An auxin‐responsive endogenous peptide regulates root development in Arabidopsis显示文摘Auxin plays critical roles in root formation and development. The components involved in this process,however, are not well understood. Here, we newly identified a peptide encoding gene, auxin‐responsive endogenous polypeptide 1(AREP1), which is induced by auxin, and mediates root development in Arabidopsis. Expression of AREP1 was specific to the cotyledon and to root and shoot meristem tissues. Amounts of AREP1 transcripts and AREP1‐green fluorescent protein fusion proteins were elevated in response to indoleacetic acid treatment. Suppression of AREP1 through RNAi silencing resulted in reduction of primary root length, increase of lateral root number, and expansion of adventitious roots, compared to the observations in wild‐type plants in the presence of auxin. By contrast, transgenic plants overexpressing AREP1 showed enhanced growth of the primary root under auxin treatment.Additionally, root morphology, including lateral root number and adventitious roots, differed greatly between transgenic and wild‐type plants. Further analysis indicated that the expression of auxin‐responsive genes, such as IAA3, IAA7, IAA17, GH3.2, GH3.3,and SAUR‐AC1, was significantly higher in AREP1 RNAi plants, and was slightly lower in AREP1 overexpressing plants than in wild‐type plants. 15比较B超定位和常规体表定位法静脉输液港植入术在乳腺癌患者中的应用(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to compare the anatomic-landmark and ultrasound-guided techniques in the placement of an internal jugular vein port in patients with advanced breast cancer.Methods:Between March 2010 and October 2010,60 patients with advanced breast cancer underwent central venous port placement for the delivery of chemotherapy,preferably through the internal jugular vein.Patients were randomly assigned to either the anatomic-landmark or the ultrasound-guided group.Failure on first attempt,number of attempts until successful catheterization,time to successful placement,the accordance of the two placement approaches,and the demographics of each patient were recorded.Results: The consistency of the direction of two lines drawn using the anatomic-landmark and ultrasound-guided techniques or of the diameter of the internal jugular vein as determined by the two approaches was 85%(51/60).The rate of successful placement at first attempt was higher in the ultrasound group than in the anatomic-landmark group(P<0.05).A greater number of attempts and longer time to successful port placement were needed in the latter(P<0.05).Conclusion:The findings of this study indicate that,in the placement of an internal jugular vein port,the ultrasound(US)-guided technique has several advantages over the anatomic-landmark technique.Nanyan Rao Jiannan Wu Shunrong Li Liang Jin Weijuan Jia Heran Deng Fengxi Su 2011The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2011,10,12:2
