2A 2-kb Mycovirus Converts a Pathogenic Fungus into a Beneficial Endophyte for Brassica Protection and Yield Enhancement显示文摘Mycoviruses are viruses that infect fungi,and hypovirulence-associated mycoviruses have the potential to control fungal diseases.However,it is unclear how mycovirus-mediated hypovirulent strains live and survive in the field,and no mycovirus has been applied for field crop protection.In this study,we found that a previously identified small DNA mycovirus(SsHADV-1)can convert its host,Sclerotinia sclerotiorum,from a typical necrotrophic pathogen to a beneficial endophytic fungus.SsHADV-1 downregulates the expression of key pathogenicity factor genes in S.sclerotiorum during infection.When growing in rapeseed,the SsHADV-1-infected strain DT-8 significantly regulates the expression of rapeseed genes involved in defense,hormone signaling,and circadian rhythm pathways.As a result,plant growth is promoted and disease resistance is enhanced.Field experiments showed that spraying DT-8 at the early flowering stage can reduce the disease severity of rapeseed stem rot by 67.6%and improve yield by 14.9%.Moreover,we discovered that SsHADV-1 could also infect other S.sclerotiorum strains on DT-8-inoculated plants and that DT-8 could be recovered from dead plants.These findings suggest that the mycoviruses may have the ability to shape the origin of endophytism.Our discoveries suggest that mycoviruses may influence the origin of endophytism and may also offer a novel strategy for disease control in which mycovirus-infected strains are used to improve crop health and release mycoviruses into the field.Hongxiang Zhang Jiatao Xie Yanping Fu Jiasen Cheng Zheng Qu Zhenzhen Zhao Shufen Cheng Tao Chen Bo Li Qianqian Wang Xinqiang Liu Binnian Tian David B.Collinge Daohong Jiang 2020Molecular Plant2020,13,10:9

4Catalysis under shell: Improved CO oxidation reaction confined in Pt@h-BN core-shell nanoreactors显示文摘Core-shell nanostructures consisting of active metal cores and protective shells often exhibit enhanced catalytic performance, in which reactants can access a small part of the core surfaces through the pores in the shells. In this study, we show that Pt nanoparticles (NPs) can be embedded into few-layer hexagonal boron nitride (h-BN) overlayers, forming Pt@h-BN core-shell nanocatalysts. The h-BN shells not only protect the Pt NPs under harsh conditions but also allow gaseous molecules such as CO and O2 to access a large part of the Pt surfaces through a facile intercalation process. As a result, the Pt@h-BN nanostructures act as nanoreactors, and CO oxidation reactions with improved activity, selectivity, and stability occur at the core-shell interfaces. The confinement effect exerted by the h-BN shells promotes the Pt-catalyzed reactions. 6Transmissible hypovirulent element in isolate Ep-1PN of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum显示文摘The cause of virulence decline of hypovirulent isolate Ep-1PN of Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (Lib.) de Bary has been studied through transmitting test and analysing its offsprings derived from single ascospore. When the colony of a normal strain Ep-1PNA 183 intermingled with the colony of Ep-1PN, its margin became abnormal, just like Ep-1PN. Cultures isolated from top-tip of the colony of Ep-1PNA 183 showed the hypovirulence and its associated properties of Ep-1PN. Moreover, a series of cultures which have characteristics between Ep-1PN and normal strain could be isolated from stipes of Ep-1PN. More than 200 offsprings derived from single ascospore of Ep-1PN were normal strains. 8BUCKLING AND POSTBUCKLING ANALYSIS OF ELASTO-PLASTIC FIBER METAL LAMINATES显示文摘The elasto-plastic buckling and postbuckling of fiber metal laminates(FML) are studied in this research. Considering the geometric nonlinearity of the structure and the elastoplastic deformation of the metal layers, the incremental Von Karman geometric relation of the FML with initial deflection is established. Moreover, an incremental elasto-plastic constitutive relation adopting the mixed hardening rule is introduced to depict the stress-strain relationship of the metal layers. Subsequently, the incremental nonlinear governing equations of the FML subjected to in-plane compressive loads are derived, and the whole problem is solved by the iterative method according to the finite difference method. 9Determination of Berberine Hydrochloride Content in Qingwen Baidu Granule by HPLC显示文摘The paper was to establish a simple and sensitive HPLC method for determination of berberine hydrochloride content in Qingwen Baidu granule.The HPLC system consisted of Stable Bond- C18 column(4.6×150 mm,5μm) and with a mobile phase of acetonitrile- 0.05mol / L potassium dihydrogen phosphate solution(50∶50,v∶v) mixture.Berberine hydrochloride was detected at the wavelength of 345 nm,with a flow rate of 1.0 mL / min and a column temperature of30 ℃.The excipients and solvents in the granule could be well separated from the drug under such a designated chromatogram condition and did not interfere with the assay.A good linear relationship was found between peak area and the concentration of berberine hydrochloride in the range of 16.0- 48.0 μg / mL.The average recovery of berberine hydrochloride was 99.09%.The established approach was specific,accurate,reliable,prompt,sensitive and applicable,and could be used to control the quality of Qingwen Baidu granule.Guo Shijin Wang Yanping Fu Shijun Zhang Zhimei Xu Qianqian Shen Zhiqiang 2014Animal Husbandry and Feed Science2014,6,1:2
