3黄土塬边坡植被类型对土壤孔隙的影响显示文摘黄土塬边坡植被建设以固坡为目的,不同植被的土壤孔隙结构有利于增加降水入渗,从而减少坡面产流的水蚀危害。本研究以长武塬黄土塬边坡的侧柏(Platycladus orientalis)林地、沙棘(Hippophae rhamnoides)灌丛、草地和农地4种植被为研究对象,采集0–30 cm的原状土柱,利用CT扫描和图像处理技术,对其土壤孔隙度、孔隙数目、孔隙成圆率和孔隙分形维数进行定量分析,结合土层样品的理化性质,研究影响土壤孔隙结构的主要因素。结果表明,农地、侧柏孔隙的孔径大小分异不大,而草地、沙棘自身根系互动穿插生成的根孔扩展了孔径分布范围,不仅增加了孔隙度和大孔隙数目,也降低了孔隙成圆率。草地、沙棘有利于降水入渗,是固坡的优先选择。土壤有机质、粘粒含量等性质与孔隙参数之间具有极显著(P<0.001)或显著(P<0.05)相关关系,它们的改变对土壤孔隙特征变化和提高蓄水保土能力具有重要影响。冯璐 丁康 屈媛媛 Farhat Ullah KHAN 杜峰 徐学选 2020草业科学2020,37,4:11
4Inhibition of hepatitis B virus DNA replicative intermediate forms by recombinant interferon-γ显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the in vitro anti-HBV activity of recombinant human IFN-γ, alone and in combination with lamivudine. METHODS: A recombinant baculovirus-HBV/HepG2 culture system was developed which could support productive HBV infection in vitro. Expression of HBsAg and HBeAg in infected HepG2 culture medium was detected by commercial enzyme immunoassays. HBV DNA replication intermediates were detected in infected cells by Southern hybridization and viral DNA load was determined by dot hybridization. RESULTS: IFN-γat 0.1 to 5μg/L efficiently down regulated HBsAg expression in transduced HepG2 cells. At 5μg/L, IFN-γalso suppressed HBV DNA replication in these cells. While treatment with a combination of lamivudine and IFN-γshowed no additive effect, sequential treatment first with lamivudine and then IFN-γwas found to be promising. In this culture system the best HBV suppression was observed with a pulse of 2μmol/L lamivudine for two days, followed by 1μg/L IFN-γfor another four days. Compared to treatment with lamivudine alone, the sequential use of 0.2μmol/L lamivudine for two days, followed by 5μg/L IFN-γfor six days showed a 72% reduction in HBV cccDNA pool. CONCLUSION: This in vitro study warrants further evaluation of a combination of IFN-γand lamivudine, especially in IFN-αnon-responder chronic hepatitis B patients. 5Prognostic factors in patients with advanced cholangiocarcinoma: Role of surgery, chemotherapy and body mass index显示文摘AIM: To study the factors that may affect survival of cholangiocarcinoma in Lebanon. METHODS: A retrospective review of the medical records of 55 patients diagnosed with cholangio- carcinoma at the American University of Beirut between 1990 and 2005 was conducted. Univariate and multivariate analyses were performed to determine the impact of surgery, chemotherapy, body mass index, bilirubin level and other factors on survival. RESULTS: The median survival of all patients was 8.57 mo (0.03-105.2). Univariate analysis showed that low bilirubin level (< 10 mg/dL), radical surgery and chemotherapy administration were significantly associated with better survival (P = 0.012, 0.038 and 0.038, respectively). In subgroup analysis on patients who had no surgery, chemotherapy administration prolonged median survival significantly (17.0 mo vs 3.5 mo, P = 0.001). Multivariate analysis identifiedonly low bilirubin level < 10 mg/dL and chemotherapy administration as independent predictors associated with better survival (P < 0.05). 6A review of cavitation in tip-leakage flow and its control显示文摘The tip-leakage vortex(TLV)cavitation is a challenging issue for a variety of axial hydraulic turbines and pumps from both technical and scientific viewpoints.The flow characteristics of the TLV cavitation were widely studied in the past decades,but the knowledge about the tip-leakage cavitating flow is still limited.The present paper reviews the progresses in the researches of the TLV cavitation,including the numerical methods for the TLV cavitation,the flow characteristics of the TLV,the influences of the TLV cavitation on the local flow field and the control strategies of the TLV cavitation.It is indicated that the non-condensable gas may play an important role in the development of the TLV cavitation,and this fact should be considered during a careful simulation of the TLV cavitation.It is also suggested that the development of the TLV cavitation will significantly influence the distributions of the vorticity and the turbulence kinetic energy.Due to the complexity of the TLV cavitation,it is still an open question how to suppress the TLV cavitation in a simple but effective way.Finally,based on these understandings,some advanced topics for the future work are suggested to further promote the study of the TLV cavitation,for a deeper knowledge about the TLV cavitation.Huai-yu Cheng Bin Ji Xin-ping Long Wen-xin Huai Mohamed Farhat 2021Journal of Hydrodynamics2021,33,2:8
7Effect of mucin production on survival in colorectal cancer:A case-control study显示文摘AIM: To investigate the impact of mucin production on prognosis in colorectal cancer, in terms of overall survival (OS) and time to disease progression (TTP) in patients with mucinous compared to those with non-mucinous colorectal cancer (NMCRC), matched for age, gender, and tumor stage.METHODS: Thirty five patients with mucinous colorectal cancer (MCRC) were matched for age, gender, and tumor stage with 35 controls having NMCRC. OS and TTP were compared among 4 groups divided according to mucin content: group A (50%-75% mucin), group B (75%-100% mucin), group C or controls (< 50% mucin). Group D consisted of all patients with tumors having < 75% mucin (controls and groups A together).RESULTS: Median survival in MCRC and NMCRC groups was 46.2 and 112.9 mo, respectively (P = 0.26). OS in groups A and B was 70.1 and 32.8 mo (P = 0.46), and in groups B and D was 32.8 and 70.1 mo, respectively (P = 0.143). TTP in MCRC and NMCRC was 50.17 and 44.77 mo, respectively (P = 0.795). TTP in groups A, B, and D was 70.1, 24.8, and 65.5 mo, respectively. Twenty-eight percent of patients with MCRC had poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma versus 8.6% in NMCRC patients (P = 0.028).CONCLUSION: MCRC is associated with a non-significant decrease in median survival and TTP, particularlywhen mucin content is > 75% of tumor volume. However, it tends to be more poorly differentiated. 16Hydrodynamic mechanisms of aggressive collapse events in leading edge cavitation显示文摘Transient cavities generated from unsteady leading-edge cavitation may undergo aggressive collapses which are responsible for cavitation erosion.In this paper,we studied the hydrodynamic mechanisms of these events in the leading edge cavitation fonned over a modified NACA0009 hydrofoil using experimental and numerical methods.In the experimental investigation,high-speed visualization(HSV)and paint test are employed to study the behavior of the cavitating flow at σ=1.25,α=5°,U∞=20 m/s.In the numerical part,the same cavitating flow is simulated using an inviscid density-based compressible solver with a barotropic cavitation model.The numerical results are first compared with the experimental HSV to show that the simulation is able to reproduce the main features of the cavitating flow.Then,as the compressible solver is capable of capturing the shock wave upon the collapse of cavities,the location of collapse events with high erosion potential are determined.The location of these collapse events are compared with the paint test results with a qualitatively good agreement.It is clearly observed,in both the experiments and the numerical simulation,that there exists four distinct regions along the hydrofoil with higher risks of erosion:(1)A very narrow strip at the leading edge,(2)an area of accumulated collapses at around 60 percent of the sheet cavity maximum length,(3)an area around the closure line of the sheet cavity with the highest erosion damage,and(4)a wide area close to the trailing edge with dispersed collapse events.A combined analysis of the experimental and numerical results reveals that the small-scale structures generated by secondary shedding are more aggressive than the large-scale cloud cavities(primary shedding).It is also observed that the high risk of cavitation erosion in regions 2 and 3 is mainly due to the collapses of the small cavity structures that are formed around the sheet cavity closure line or the rolling cloud cavity.Mohammad Hossein Arabnejad Ali Amini Mohamed Farhat Rickard EBensow 2020Journal of Hydrodynamics2020,32,1:2

18Effects of blade aspect ratio and taper ratio on hovering performance of cycloidal rotor with large blade pitching amplitude显示文摘In recent years, a lot of research work has been carried out on the cycloidal rotors. However, it lacks thorough understanding about the effects of the blade platform shape on the hover efficiency of the cycloidal rotor, and the knowledge of how to design the platform shape of the blades. This paper presents a numerical simulation model based on Unsteady ReynoldsAveraged Navier–Stokes equations(URANSs), which is further validated by the experimental results. The effects of blade aspect ratio and taper ratio are analyzed, which shows that the cycloidal rotors with the same chord length have quite similar performance even though the blade aspect ratio varies from a very small value to a large one. By comparing the cycloidal rotors with different taper ratios, it is found that the rotors with large blade taper ratio outperform those with small taper ratio. This is due to the fact that the blade with larger taper ratio has longer chord and hence better efficiency. The analysis results show that the unsteady aerodynamic effects due to blade pitching motion play a more important role in the efficiency than the blade platform shape.
