2Highly sensitive wearable sensor based on a flexible multi-layer graphene film antenna显示文摘The use of advanced carbon nanomaterials for flexible antenna sensors has attracted great attention due to their outstanding electromechanical properties. However, carbon nanomaterial based composites have yet to overcome drawbacks, such as low conductivity and toughness. In this work, a flexible multi-layer graphene film(FGF) with a high conductivity of 10~6 S/m for antenna based wearable sensors is investigated. A 1.63 GHz FGF antenna sensor exhibits significantly high strain sensitivity of 9.8 for compressive bending and 9.36 for tensile bending, which is super than the copper antenna sensor(5.39 for compressive bending and 4.05 for tensile bending). 4Polysaccharide,proline,and anti-oxidation enzyme activities of Thailand rosewood(Dalbergia cochinchinensis)seedlings exposed to exponential fertilization显示文摘Thailand rosewood(Dalbergia cochinchinensis)is a vulnerable high value tree species in subtropical and tropical Southeast Asia.The demand for the rehabilitation of the natural habitat of the species requires high-quality seedlings.However,current fertilizer regimes tend to deliver a coarse rate of fertilizers that result in a low uptake efficiency and a high risk of nutrient excess.Exponential fertilization is an effective approach to promote seedling quality through identifying an optimum dose out of a range of applications.In this study,Thailand rosewood seedlings were cultured in a mixed substrate of perlite,vermiculite,and peat(2:2:3,v/v/v)and received exponential fertilization from 0(control),through 100,200,300,400,and 600 mg nitrogen(N)per plant over a four-month cultural rotation.Height,diameter,and shoot biomass increased with fertilizer rate and were maximized at 300 mg N per plant.This application also reduced nutrient deficiencies and avoided excess supply compared to higher rates.Polysaccharide,proline,and anti-oxidation enzyme activities tended to be greater in unfertilized controls or in over-fertilized high dosages,with lower activities around 100–300 mg N plant(-1).Application of 300 mg N per plant was identified as the optimum dosage as it maximized nutrient reserves,polysaccharide and proline contents,and anti-oxidants without causing any symptoms from excess fertilizer toxicity.Future work is required to identify the effects of N-fixation on the formation of nutritional reserves in Thailand rosewood seedlings subjected to exponential fertilization.Zhou Hong Junyu Guo Ningnan Zhang Zengjiang Yang Xiaojing Liu Zhiyi Cui Daping Xu 2022Journal of Forestry Research2022,33,1:4
5Broadband mid-infrared molecular spectroscopy based on passive coherent optical–optical modulated frequency combs显示文摘Mid-infrared dual-comb spectroscopy is of great interest owing to the strong spectroscopic features of trace gases,biological molecules,and solid matter with higher resolution,accuracy,and acquisition speed. However,the prerequisite of achieving high coherence of optical sources with the use of bulk sophisticated control systems prevents their widespread use in field applications. Here we generate a highly mutually coherent dual midinfrared comb spectrometer based on the optical–optical modulation of a continuous-wave (CW) interband or quantum cascade laser. Mutual coherence was passively achieved without post-data processes or active carrier envelope phase-locking processes. The center wavelength of the generated mid-infrared frequency combs can be flexibly tuned by adjusting the wavelength of the CW seeds. The parallel detection of multiple molecular species,including C_(2)H_(2),CH_(4),H_(2)CO,H_(2)S,COS,and H_(2)O,was achieved. 6Effect of organic carbon on nitrification effciency and community composition of nitrifying biofilms显示文摘The effects of organic carbon/inorganic nitrogen(C/N) ratio on the nitrification processes and the community shifts of nitrifying biofilms were investigated by kinetic comparison and denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis(DGGE) analysis.The results showed that the nitrification rate decreased with an increasing organic concentration.However,the effect became weak when the carbon concentration reached a suffciently high level.Denitrification was detected after organic carbon was added.The 12 h ammonium removal rate ranged from 85% to 30% at C/N = 0.5,1,2,4,8,and 16,as compared to the control(C/N = 0).The loss of nitrogen after 24 h at C/N = 0.5,1,2,4,8,and 16 was 31%,18%,24%,65%,59%,and 62%,respectively.The sequence analysis of 16S rRNA gene fragments revealed that the dominant populations changed from nitrifying bacteria(Nitrosomonas europaea and Nitrobacter sp.) to denitrifying bacteria(Pseudomonas sp.,Acidovorax sp.and Comamonas sp.) with an increasing C/N ratio.Although at high C/N ratio the denitrifying bacteria were the dominant populations,nitrifying bacteria grew simultaneously.Consequently,nitrification process coexisted with denitrification.HU Jie LI Daping LIU Qiang TAO Yong HE Xiaohong WANG Xiaomei LI Xudong GAO Ping 2009Journal of Environmental Sciences2009,21,3:3
7Tunable optical frequency comb from a compact and robust Er:fiber laser显示文摘We report on a compact and robust self-referenced optical frequency comb with a tunable repetition rate,generated by an all-polarization-maintaining(PM)mode-locked Er-doped fiber laser.The spacing between comb teeth can be tuned above 300 kHz at a repetition rate of 101 MHz.The repetition rate and the carrier-envelope offset of the laser are stabilized separately,and the relative residual phase noises are determined to be 336µrad and 713 mrad(1 Hz-1 MHz).The accurate frequency characteristics and the stable structure show great potential for the use of such a comb in applications of precision measurements.Zhiwei Zhu Yang Liu Daping Luo Chenglin Gu Lian Zhou Gehui Xie Zejiang Deng Wenxue Li 2020High Power Laser Science and Engineering2020,8,2:2
8Doppler velocimeter based on dual-comb absorption spectroscopy显示文摘The determination of airflow parameters is essential to the research of critical information on environment monitoring,chemical kinetics,and aerodynamic and propulsion applications.During the past few decades,tunable diode laser absorption spectroscopy has become a common and efficient tool for the flow velocity measurement based on the Doppler shift of the absorption line.Dual-comb absorption spectroscopy(DCAS),as a state-of-theart Fourier-transform broadband spectroscopic technique,not only can detect multiple trace molecules in parallel but also can extract Doppler shifts to derive the flow velocity through the analysis of dozens of molecular absorption lines simultaneously with high precision.Here,we report a proof-of-principle demonstration of the velocity measurements of acetylene at various flow velocities by means of a high-resolution and broadband DCAS.Mode-resolved Doppler-shifted rotational-vibrational lines in the P branch of acetylene molecules are obtained.A model for multiline Doppler frequency determination is investigated and experimentally verified.The flow velocity measurements with a measuring uncertainty down to the submeter per second over the range from 8.7 m/s to 44.8 m/s at an effective time resolution of 1 s and a measuring uncertainty of 1.97 m/s at 0.1 s are demonstrated.With broadband mid-infrared frequency combs covering atmospheric transmission windows,the open-path measurement for monitoring diffusion of the weak pollutant source would be realized.CHENGLIN GU XING ZOU ZHONG ZUO DAOWANG PENG YUANFENG DI YANG LIU DAPING LUO WENXUE LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,12:2
9Interleukin 1 beta-induced chloride currents are important in osteoarthritis onset:an in vitro study显示文摘Persistent hypotonic and inflammatory conditions in the joint cavity can lead to the loss of cartilage matrix and cell death,which are the important mechanisms of osteoarthritis(OA)onset.Previous studies have confirmed that the existence of a hypotonic environment is a red flag for inflammation,as hypotonic environment induces the opening of the chloride channel of the cell and promotes chloride ion efflux,which prompts the cell volume to increase.Chloride channels play an important role in the regulation of mineralization and chondrocyte death.Here,we reported that OA chondrocytes showed a significant increase of cell death rate and the imbalance of cartilage matrix catabolism.We found that the distribution of skeleton protein F-actin was disordered.In addition,the volume-sensitive chloride current of OA chondrocytes decreased significantly with the increase of the expression levels of inflammation-related proteins caspase-1,caspase-3,and NLRP3.Moreover,interleukin-1β(IL-1β)showed a potential to activate the chloride current of normal chondrocytes.These results indicate that IL-1β-induced chloride channel opening in chondrocytes may be closely related to the occurrence of OA.This chloride channel opening process may therefore be a potential target for the treatment of OA.Zhiqin Deng Zicong Lin Qing Zhong Minqiang Lu Huankun Fang Jianquan Liu Li Duan Lixin Chen Liwei Wang Daping Wang Wencui Li 2021Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2021,53,4:2
10Ultra-small platinum nanoparticles segregated by nickle sites for efficient ORR and HER processes显示文摘In the electrochemical process,Pt nanoparticles(NPs)in Pt-based catalysts usually agglomerate due to Oswald ripening or lack of restraint,ultimately resulting in reduction of the active sites and catalytic efficiency.How to uniformly disperse and firmly fix Pt NPs on carbon matrix with suitable particle size for catalysis is still a big challenge.Herein,to prevent the agglomeration and shedding of Pt NPs,Ni species is introduced and are evenly dispersed in the surface of carbon matrix in the form of Ni-N-C active sites(Ni ZIF-NC).The Ni sites can be used to anchor Pt NPs,and then effectively limit the further growth and agglomeration of Pt NPs during the reaction process.Compared with commercial Pt/C catalyst,Pt@Ni ZIF-NC,with ultralow Pt loading(7 wt%)and ideal particle size(2.3 nm),not only increases the active center,but also promotes the catalysis kinetics,greatly improving the ORR and HER catalytic activity.Under acidic conditions,its half-wave potential(0.902 V)is superior to commercial Pt/C(0.861 V),and the mass activity(0.38 A per mg Pt)at 0.9 V is 4.7 times that of Pt/C(0.08 A per mg Pt).Besides,it also shows outstanding HER performance.At 20 and 30 mV,its mass activity is even 2 and 6 times that of Pt/C,respectively.Whether it is under ORR or HER conditions,it still shows excellent durability.These undoubtedly indicate the realization of dual-functional catalysts with low-Pt and high-efficiency properties.Lvhan Liang Huihui jin Huang Zhou Bingshuai Liu Chenxi Hu Ding Chen Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Hai-Wen Li Suli Liu Daping He Shichun Mu 2022Journal of Energy Chemistry2022,31,2:2

14Decellularized Disc Hydrogels for hBMSCs tissue-specific differentiation and tissue regeneration显示文摘Tissue specificity,a key factor in the decellularized tissue matrix(DTM),has shown bioactive functionalities in tuning cell fate-e.g.,the differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells.Notably,cell fate is also determined by the living microenvironment,including material composition and spatial characteristics.Herein,two neighboring tissues within intervertebral discs,the nucleus pulposus(NP)and annulus fibrosus(AF),were carefully processed into DTM hydrogels(abbreviated DNP-G and DAF-G,respectively)to determine the tissue-specific effects on stem cell fate,such as specific components and different culturing methods,as well as in vivo regeneration.Distinct differences in their protein compositions were identified by proteomic analysis.Interestingly,the fate of human bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(hBMSCs)also responds to both culturing methods and composition.Generally,hBMSCs cultured with DNP-G(3D)differentiated into NP-like cells,while hBMSCs cultured with DAF-G(2D)underwent AF-like differentiation,indicating a close correlation with the native microenvironments of NP and AF cells,respectively.Furthermore,we found that the integrin-mediated RhoA/LATS/YAP1 signaling pathway was activated in DAF-G(2D)-induced AF-specific differentiation.Additionally,the activation of YAP1 determined the tendency of NP-or AF-specific differentiation and played opposite regulatory effects.Finally,DNP-G and DAF-G specifically promoted tissue regeneration in NP degeneration and AF defect rat models,respectively.In conclusion,DNP-G and DAF-G can specifically determine the fate of stem cells through the integrin-mediated RhoA/LATS/YAP1 signaling pathway,and this tissue specificity is both compositional and spatial,supporting the utilization of tissue-specific DTM in advanced treatments of intervertebral disc degeneration.Yizhong Peng Xiangcheng Qing Hui Lin Donghua Huang Jinye Li Shuo Tian Sheng Liu Xiao Lv Kaige Ma Rui Li Zilong Rao Ying Bai Songfeng Chen Ming Lei Daping Quan Zengwu Shao 2021Bioactive Materials2021,6,10:1

18A new strategy to access Co/N co-doped carbon nanotubes as oxygen reduction reaction catalysts显示文摘Carbon nanotubes(CNTs),as one-dimensional nanomaterials,show great potential in energy conversion and storage due to their efficient electrical conductivity and mass transfer.However,the security risks,time-consuming and high cost of the preparation process hinder its further application.Here,we develop that a negative pressure rather than a following gas environment can promote the generation of cobalt and nitrogen co-doped CNTs(Co/N-CNTs) by using cobalt zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-67) as a precursor,in which the negative pressure plays a key role in adjusting the size of cobalt nanoparticles and stimulating the rearragement of carbon atoms for forming CNTs.Importantly,the obtained Co/N-CNTs,with high content of pyridinic nitrogen and abundant graphitized structure,exhibit superior catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction(ORR) with half-wave potential(E_(1/2)) of 0.85 V and durability in terms of the minimum current loss(2%) after the 30,000 s test.Our development provides a new pathway for large-scale and cost-effective preparation of metal-doped CNTs for various applications.Bingshuai Liu Huang Zhou Huihui Jin Jiawei Zhu Zhe Wang Chenxi Hu Lvhan Liang Shichun Mu Daping He 2021Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,1:1
19Optimizing noise characteristics of mode-locked Yb-doped fiber laser using gain-induced RIN-transfer dynamics显示文摘Gain-parameter-dependent transfer functions and phase-noise performances in a mode-locked Yb-doped fiber laser are measured in this study.It is discovered that the corner frequency in the amplitude and phase domains is determined by the absorption coefficient of the gain fiber,when the total absorption and other cavity parameters are fixed.This shows that an oscillator using gain fiber with higher dopant concentration accumulates more phase noise.Furthermore,we present net cavity dispersion-dependent transfer functions to verify the effect of dispersion management on the frequency response.We derive a guideline for optimizing mode-locked fiber laser design to achieve low phase noise and timing jitter.Jiangshuoxue Han Yang Liu Zejiang Deng Gehui Xie Daping Luo Chenglin Gu Lian Zhou Wenxue Li 2021High Power Laser Science and Engineering2021,9,3:1
