Anthropogenic emission inventories in China:a review显示文摘The development of reliable anthropogenic emission inventories is essential for both understanding the sources of air pollution and designing effective air-pollution-control measures in China. However, it is challenging to quantify emissions in China accurately, given the variety of contributing sources, the complexity of the technology mix and the lack of reliable measurements. Over the last two decades, tremendous efforts have been made to improve the accuracy of emission inventories, and significant improvements have been realized. More reliable statistics and survey-based data have been used to reduce the uncertainties in activity rates and technology distributions. Local emission factors and source profiles covering various sources have been measured and reported. Based on these local databases, improved emission inventory models have been developed for power plants, large industrial plants and the residential, transportation and agricultural sectors. In this paper, we review the progress that has been made in developing inventories of anthropogenic emissions in China. We first highlight the major updates that have been made to emission inventory models and the underlying data by source category. We then summarize the sector-based estimates of emissions of different species contained in current inventories. The progress that has been made in the development of model-ready emissions is also presented. Finally, we suggest future directions for further improving the accuracy of emission inventories in China. | Meng Li Huan Liu Guannan Geng Chaopeng Hong Fei Liu Yu Song Dan Tong Bo Zheng Hongyang Cui Hanyang Man Qiang Zhang Kebin He | 2017 | National Science Review2017,4,6: | 100
Microstructures and Mechanical Properties of Fe-Mn-(Al, Si) TRIP/TWIP Steels显示文摘The mechanical properties and microstructure of two low carbon high manganese steels with 23.8% (No.1) and 33% (No.2) (mass percent) of manganese were investigated. The results showed that No.1 steel possesses high strength and high plasticity, and No.2 steel has a relatively high strength and extraordinary plasticity. The No.1 steel exhibits both TRIP (transformation induced plasticity) and TWIP (twin induced plasticity) effects during the deformation; while only TWIP effect appeared under the same deformation condition for No.2 steel. The comparison between the microstructures and mechanical properties of two steels was made, and the strengthening mechanisms were also analyzed. | DING Hua TANG Zheng-You LI Wei WANG Mei SONG Dan | 2006 | Journal of Iron and Steel Research(International)2006,13,6: | 31

From concept to reality-A review to the primary test stand and its preliminary application in high energy density physics显示文摘Pulsed power technology, whereas the electrical energy stored in a relative long period is released in much shorter timescale,is an efficient method to create high energy density physics(HEDP)conditions in laboratory.Around the beginning of this century,China Academy of Engineering Physics(CAEP)began to build some experimental facilities for HEDP investigations, among which the Primary Test Stand(PTS),a multi-module pulsed power facility with a nominal current of 10 MA and a current rising time~90 ns,is an important achievement on the roadmap of the electro-magnetically driven inertial confinement fusion(ICF)researches.PTS is the first pulsed power facility beyond 10 TW in China. Therefore, all the technologies have to be demonstrated, and all the engineering issues have to be overcome. In this article, the research outline, key technologies and the preliminary HEDP experiments are reviewed.Prospects on HEDP research on PTS and pulsed power development for the next step are also discussed. | Jianjun Deng Weiping Xie Shuping Feng Meng Wang Hongtao Li Shengyi Song Minghe Xia Ji Ce An He Qing Tian Yuanchao Gu Yongchao Guan Bin Wei Xianbin Huang Xiaodong Ren Jiakun Dan Jing Li Shaotong Zhou Hongchun Cai Siqun Zhang Kunlun Wang Qiang Xu Yujuan Wang Zhaohui Zhang Guilin Wang Shuai Guo Yi He Yiwei Zhou Zhanji Zhang Libing Yang Wenkang Zou | 2016 | Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,1: | 19
Exploring an Integrative Therapy for Treating COVID-19:A Randomized Controlled Trial显示文摘Objectives:To develop a new Chinese medicine(CM)-based drug and to evaluate its safety and effect for suppressing acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)in COVID-19 patients. Methods:A putative ARDS-suppressing drug Keguan-1 was first developed and then evaluated by a randomized, controlled two-arm trial. The two arms of the trial consist of a control therapy(alpha interferon inhalation,50(x g twice daily;and lopinavir/ritonavir,400 and 100 mg twice daily, respectively)and a testing therapy(control therapy plus Keguan-119.4 g twice daily)by random number table at 1:1 ratio with 24 cases each group. After 2-week treatment, adverse events, time to fever resolution,ARDS development, and lung injury on newly diagnosed COVID-19 patients were assessed. Results:An analysis of the data from the first 30 participants showed that the control arm and the testing arm did not exhibit any significant differences in terms of adverse events.Based on this result, the study was expanded to include a total of 48 participants(24 cases each arm). The results show that compared with the control arm,the testing arm exhibited a significant improvement in time to fever resolution(P=0.035),and a significant reduction in the development of ARDS(P=0.048).Conclusions:Keguan-1-based integrative therapy was safe and superior to the standard therapy in suppressing the development of ARDS in COVID-19 patients.(Trial registration No.NCT 04251871 at www.clinicaltrials.gov). | WANG Jia-bo WANG Zhong-xia JING Jing ZHAO Peng DONG Jing-hui ZHOU Yong-feng YANG Guang NIU Ming ZHAO Xu JIANG Tian-jun Bl Jing-feng XU Zhe ZHANG Ping WU Dan BAI Zhao-fang GUO Yu-ming YU Si-miao SUN Yong-qiang ZHANG Zi-teng ZHAN Xiao-yan LI Peng-yan DING Jin-biao ZHAO Peng-fei SONG Xue-ai TANG Jian-yuan HE Dong-chu CHEN Zhu QIN En-qiang WANG Rui-lin XIAO Xiao-he | 2020 | Chinese Journal of Integrative Medicine2020,26,9: | 18

Small molecule inhibitors reveal allosteric regulation of USP14 via steric blockade显示文摘The ubiquitin system is important for drug discovery, and the discovery of selective small-molecule inhibitors of deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs) remains an active yet extremely challenging task. With a few exceptions, previously developed inhibitors have been found to bind the evolutionarily conserved catalytic centers of DUBs,resulting in poor selectivity. The small molecule IU1 was the first-ever specific inhibitor identified and exhibited surprisingly excellent selectivity for USP14 over other DUBs. However, the molecular mechanism for this selectivity was elusive. Herein,we report the high-resolution co-crystal structures of the catalytic domain of USP14 bound to IU1 and three IU1 derivatives. All the structures of these complexes indicate that IU1 and its analogs bind to a previously unknown steric binding site in USP14,thus blocking the access of the C-terminus of ubiquitin to the active site of USP14 and abrogating USP14 activity. Importantly, this steric site in USP14 is very unique,as suggested by structural alignments of USP14 with several known DUB X-ray structures. These results,in conjunction with biochemical characterization,Indicate a coherent steric blockade mechanism for U5P14 inhibition by compounds of the IU series. In light of the recent report of steric blockade of USP7 by FT671,this work suggests a potential generally applicable allosteric mechanism for the regulation of DUBs via steric blockade,as showcased by our discovery of IU1-248 which is 10-fold more potent than IU1. | Yiwei Wang Yuxuan Jiang Shan Ding Jiawang Li Ningjing Song Yujing Ren Danning Hong Cai Wu Bin Li Feng Wang Wei He Jiawei Wang Ziqing Mei | 2018 | Cell Research2018,28,12: | 15

Applications of magnetic nanoparticles in surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS)detection of environmental pollutants显示文摘Environmental pollution, a major problem worldwide, poses considerable threat to human health and ecological environment. Efficient and reliable detection technologies, which focus on the appearance of emerging environmental and trace pollutants, are urgently needed. Surface-enhanced Raman scattering(SERS) has become an attractive analytical tool for sensing trace targets in environmental field because of its inherent molecular fingerprint specificity and high sensitivity. In this review, we focused on the recent developments in the integration of magnetic nanoparticles(MNPs) with SERS for facilitating sensitive detection of environmental pollutants. An overview and classification of different types of MNPs for SERS detection were initially provided, enabling us to categorize the huge amount of literature that was available in the interdisciplinary research field of MNPs based SERS technology. Then, the basic working principles and applications of MNPs in SERS detection were presented. Subsequently, the detection technologies integrating MNPs with SERS that eventually were used for the detection of various environmental pollutions were reviewed. Finally, the advantages of MNP-basedSERS detection technology for environmental pollutants were concluded, and the current challenges and future outlook of this technology in practical applications were highlighted. The application of the MNPsbasedSERS techniques for environmental analysis will be significantly advanced with the great progresses of the nanotechnologies, optics, and materials. | Dan Song Rong Yang Feng Long Anna Zhu | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,6: | 13
Recurrence risk model for esophageal cancer after radical surgery显示文摘Objective:The aim of the present study was to construct a risk assessment model which was tested by disease-free survival(DFS)of esophageal cancer after radical surgery. Methods:A total of 164 consecutive esophageal cancer patients who had undergone radical surgery between January 2005 and December 2006 were retrospectively analyzed. The cutpoint of value at risk(VaR)was inferred by stem-and-leaf plot,as well as by independent-samples t-test for recurrence-free time, further confirmed by crosstab chi-square test, univariate analysis and Cox regression analysis for DFS.Results:The cutpoint of VaR was 0.3 on the basis of our model. The rate of recurrence was 30.3%(30/99)and 52.3%(34/65)in VaR<0.3 and VaR≥0.3(chi-square test,χ2=7.984,P=0.005),respectively.The 1-,3-,and 5-year DFS of esophageal cancer after radical surgery was 70.4%,48.7%,and 45.3%,respectively in VaR≥0.3,whereas 91.5%,75.8%,and 67.3%,respectively in VaR<0.3(Log-rank test,χ2=9.59,P=0.0020),and further confirmed by Cox regression analysis[hazard ratio=2.10,95%confidence interval(CI):1.2649-3.4751;P=0.0041].Conclusions:The model could be applied for integrated assessment of recurrence risk after radical surgery for esophageal cancer. | Jincheng Lu Hua Tao Dan Song Cheng Chen | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,5: | 12
Differentiating between Alzheimer’s disease, amnestic mild cognitive impairment, and normal aging via diffusion kurtosis imaging显示文摘Diffusion kurtosis imaging can be used to assess pathophysiological changes in tissue structure and to diagnose central nervous system diseases. However, its sensitivity in assessing hippocampal differences between patients with Alzheimer’s disease and those with amnestic mild cognitive impairment has not been characterized. Here, we examined 20 individuals with Alzheimer’s disease (11 men and 9 women, mean 73.2 ± 4.49 years), 20 with amnestic mild cognitive impairment (10 men and 10 women, mean 71.55 ± 4.77 years), and 20 normal controls (11 men and 9 women, mean 70.45 ± 5.04 years). We conducted diffusion kurtosis imaging, using a 3.0 T magnetic resonance scanner, to compare hippocampal differences among the three groups. The results demonstrated that the right hippocampal volume and bilateral mean kurtosis were remarkably smaller in individuals with Alzheimer’s disease compared with those with amnestic mild cognitive impairment and normal controls. Further, the mean kurtosis was lower in the amnestic mild cognitive impairment group compared with the normal control group. The mean diffusion in the left hippocampus was lower in the Alzheimer’s disease group than in the amnestic mild cognitive impairment and normal control groups, while the mean diffusion in the right hippocampus was lower in the Alzheimer’s disease group than in the normal control group. Fractional anisotropy was similar among the three groups. These results verify that bilateral mean kurtosis and mean diffusion are sensitive to the diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease and amnestic mild cognitive impairment. | 16 | Comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome among Prunus mume,P.armeniaca, and P.salicina显示文摘Prunus mume Sieb.et Zucc.,P.armeniaca L.,and P.salicina L.are economically important fruit trees in temperate regions. These species are taxonomically perplexing because of shared interspecific morphological traits and variation, which are mainly attributed to hybridization. The chloroplast is cytoplasmically inherited and often used for evolutionary studies. We sequenced the complete chloroplast genomes of P.mume,P.armeniaca,and P.salicina using Illumina sequencing followed by de novo assembly. The three chloroplast genomes exhibit a typical quadripartite structure with conserved genome arrangement, structure, and moderate divergence. The lengths of the genomes are 157,815,157,797,and 157,916 bp,respectively. The length of the large single-copy region(LSC)region is 86,113,86,283,and 86,122 bp,and the length of the SSC region is 18,916,18,734,and 19,028 bp;the IR region is 26,393,26,390,and 26,383 bp,respectively. Each of the three chloroplast genomes encodes 133 genes, including 94 protein-coding,31 tRNA,and eight rRNA genes.Differential gene analysis for the three species revealed that trnY-ATA is a unique gene in P.armeniaca;in contrast, the gene trnI-TAT is only present in P.mume and P.salicina, though the position of the gene in these chloroplast genomes differs.Further comparative analysis of the complete chloroplast genome sequences revealed that the ORF genes and the sequences of linked regions rps16 and atpA,atpH and atpI,trnc-GCA and psbD,ycf3 and atpB,and rpL32 and ndhD are significantly different and may be used as molecular markers in taxonomic studies.Phylogenetic evolution analysis of the three species suggests that P.mume has a closer genetic relationship to P.armeniaca than to P.salicina. | Song Xue Ting Shi Wenjie Luo Xiaopeng Ni Shahid Iqbal Zhaojun Ni Xiao Huang Dan Yao Zhijun Shen Zhihong Gao | 2019 | Horticulture Research2019,6,1: | 10
Inhibiting endogenous tissue plasminogen activator enhanced neuronal apoptosis and axonal injury after traumatic brain injury显示文摘Tissue plasminogen activator is usually used for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke, but the role of endogenous tissue plasminogen activator in traumatic brain injury has been rarely reported.A rat model of traumatic brain injury was established by weight-drop method. The tissue plasminogen activator inhibitor neuroserpin(5μL,0.25 mg/mL)was injected into the lateral ventricle.Neurological function was assessed by neurological severity score.Neuronal and axonal injuries were assessed by hematoxylin-eosin staining and Bielschowsky silver staining.Protein level of endogenous tissue plasminogen activator was analyzed by western blot assay.Apoptotic marker cleaved caspase-3,neuronal marker neurofilament light chain, astrocyte marker glial fibrillary acidic protein and microglial marker Iba-1 were analyzed by immunohistochemical staining.Apoptotic cell types were detected by immunofluorescence double labeling.Apoptotic cells in the damaged cortex were detected by terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated digoxigenin-dUTP-biotin nick-end labeling staining.Degenerating neurons in the damaged cortex were detected by Fluoro-Jade B staining.Expression of tissue plasminogen activator was increased at 6 hours, and peaked at 3 days after traumatic brain injury.Neuronal apoptosis and axonal injury were detected after traumatic brain injury. Moreover, neuroserpin enhanced neuronal apoptosis, neuronal injury and axonal injury, and activated microglia and astrocytes.Neuroserpin further deteriorated neurobehavioral function in rats with traumatic brain injury. Our findings confirm that inhibition of endogenous tissue plasminogen activator aggravates neuronal apoptosis and axonal injury after traumatic brain injury, and activates microglia and astrocytes. This study was approved by the Biomedical Ethics Committee of Animal Experiments of Shaanxi Province of China in June 2015. | Jun-Jie Zhao Zun-Wei Liu Bo Wang Ting-Qin Huang Dan Guo Yong-Lin Zhao Jin-Ning Song | 2020 | Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,4: | 10
Numerical simulation of land subsidence and verification of its character for an iron mine using sublevel caving显示文摘Combined with a digital bored photography system and in-situ statistics concerning the joints and fissures of both ore-body and surrounding rock,a 2D discrete model was constructed using UDEC.The stress field and displacement field changes of different sublevel stoping systems were also studied.Changes in the overlying rock strata settlement pattern has been analyzed and validated by in-situ monitoring data. The results show that:in the caving process, there exists an obvious delay and jump for the overlying rock strata displacement over time, and a stable arch can be formed in the process of caving, which leads to hidden goafs.Disturbed by the mining activity,a stress increase occurred in both the hanging wall and the foot wall, demonstrating a hump-shaped distribution pattern. From the comparison between simulation results and in-situ monitoring results, land subsidence shows a slow-development,suddenfailure,slow-development cycle pattern, which leads eventually to a stable state. This pattern validates the existence of balanced arch and hidden goafs. | Cao Shuai Song Weidong Deng Dan Lei Yuankun Lan Jianqiang | 2016 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2016,26,2: | 9
Primarily screening and analyzing ESTs differentially expressed in rats' primary liver cancer显示文摘Objective: To screen and analyze key express sequence tags (ESTs) which were differentially displayed in every period of SD rats' primary hepatic carcinoma and reveal the molecular mechanism of carcinogenesis. Methods: Using diethylnitrosamine (DENA) as a cancerigenic agent, animal models with different phases of primary hepatic cancer were constructed in SD rats. Rats were respectively sacrificed at d 14, d 28, d 56, d 77, d 105 and d 112 after the rats received DENA by gavage, then the livers were harvested. One part of the livers was classified according to their pathological changes, while the other was reserved for molecular mechanism studies on hepatocarcinogenesis. The differentially expressed genes were isolated from both normal and morbid tissues by mRNA differential display technique (DDRT-PCR). After the fragments were sequenced, bioinformatics were used to analyze the results. Results: Twelve differentially expressed cDNA fragments were obtained. Nine fragments had the homology with known cDNA clones, especially EST-7 was similar to BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene and the identity was 100% which suggested EST-7 may be the part of BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene. In contrast, other three fragments (EST-1, EST-3 and EST-5) had extremely low identity to any genes registered in GENBANK databases. Conclusions: BN/SsNHsdMCW mitochondrion gene was expressed in different periods of hepatocarcinogenesis. Moreover, EST-1, EST-3 and EST-5 were suggested to contribute to the development of rat hepatocarcinogenesis, and thus may be candidates of new targets of oncogenes or cancer suppressor genes. | Dandan Liu Lijuan Zhi Mingxia Ma Dan Qiao Meijuan Wang Yawei Wang Baijie Jin Anqi Li Guting Liu Yiqing Zhang Yanyan Song Hongxu Zhang | 2013 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2013,25,1: | 9
