| 2 | Efficacy and safety of Yinchenwuling powder for hyperlipidemia: a systematic review and Meta-analysis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To assess the clinical effectiveness and adverse effects of Yinchenwuling powder(YCWLP)in the treatment of hyperlipidemia using Meta-analysis.METHODS:Seven electronic databases were searched for randomized controlled trials designed to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of YCWLP for hyperlipidemia published in any language prior to February 2015.Two reviewers independently identified articles,extracted data,assessed quality,and cross-checked the results.Revman 5.3 was used to analyze the data.RESULTS:Only five randomized controlled trials with poor methodology were included in the analy-sis.The five trials compared YCWLP with conventional lipid-lowering drugs.Meta-analysis indicated that YCWLP was more effective at the levels of total cholesterol and triglycerides,while increasing the level of high-density lipoprotein cholesterol without serious adverse effects.However,it was not more effective than lipid-lowering drugs in reducing low-density lipoprotein cholesterol and improving hemorheology.CONCLUSION:YCWLP appeared to improve lipid levels.However,given the high risk of bias among the trials,we could not conclude that YCWLP was beneficial to patients with hyperlipidemia.More rigorous trials are required to provide stronger evidence for the conclusion. | Yao Haiqiang Zhang Zengliang Wang Ji Zuo Jiacheng Chen Yu Zhu Libing Li Xiaoke Yang Zheng Wang Zisong Sun Ranran Xu Xuanxuan Li Changming Wu Yanling Li Lingru Wang Qi | 2016 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2016,36,2: | 11 |
| 3 | A Scenario-Based Evaluation of COVID-19-Related Essential Clinical Resource Demands in China显示文摘The coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)pandemic is a global crisis,and medical systems in many countries are overwhelmed with supply shortages and increasing demands to treat patients due to the surge in cases and severe illnesses.This study aimed to assess COVID-19-related essential clinical resource demands in China,based on different scenarios involving COVID-19 spreads and interventions.We used a susceptible–exposed–infectious–hospitalized/isolated–removed(SEIHR)transmission dynamics model to estimate the number of COVID-19 infections and hospitalizations with corresponding essential healthcare resources needed.We found that,under strict non-pharmaceutical interventions(NPIs)or mass vaccination of the population,China would be able to contain community transmission and local outbreaks rapidly.However,under scenarios involving a low intensity of implemented NPIs and a small proportion of the population vaccinated,the use of a peacetime–wartime transition model would be needed for medical source stockpiles and preparations to ensure a normal functioning healthcare system.The implementation of COVID-19 vaccines and NPIs in different periods can influence the transmission of COVID-19 and subsequently affect the demand for clinical diagnosis and treatment.An increased proportion of asymptomatic infections in simulations will not reduce the demand for medical resources;however,attention must be paid to the increasing difficulty in containing COVID-19 transmission due to asymptomatic cases.This study provides evidence for emergency preparations and the adjustment of prevention and control strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic.It also provides guidance for essential healthcare investment and resource allocation. | Ting Zhang Qing Wang Zhiwei Leng Yuan Yang Jin Yang Fangyuan Chen Mengmeng Jia Xingxing Zhang Weiran Qi Yunshao Xu Siya Chen Peixi Dai Libing Ma Luzhao Feng Weizhong Yang | 2021 | Engineering2021,7,7: | 7 |

| 5 | Efficient purification of Al_(30) by organic complexation method显示文摘A method was developed for preparing high purity Al30O8(OH)56(H2O)_(24)^(18)+(Al30) through elimination of impurities by complexation.Polyaluminum chloride II(PAC_(30))with Al_(c )content of 75%was adopted as the source of Al_(30).The PAC_(30)was prepared under conditions of total aluminum concentration 0.1 mol/L and OH^-/Al ratio 2.2 to obtain the highest content of Al_(30).A precipitation/metathesis method,organic solvent precipitation method and organic complexation method were examined to separate and purify Al_(30).It was found that only by the organic complexation method could high purity Al_(30)products be obtained in large yield economically.In the experiments,benzoic acid was used as the coordinating reagent to decompose the main impurity AlO_4Al_(12)(OH)_(24)(H_2O)_(12)^(7+)(Al_(13)),and the Al_(30)product could be obtained by precipitation and metathesis operations.It was noteworthy that the decomposition of impurities by benzoic acid could be completed in 2 hr.The Al_(30)product was characterized by Ferron assay,^(27)Al-NMR,SEM,XRD and TGA.The results showed that the purity of the Al_(30)product could exceed 92%. | Libing Liu Qinxue Yang Pin Wang Feng Xiao Ruyuan Jiao Guangyu An Dongsheng Wang | 2019 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2019,31,6: | 2 |

| 7 | Transcriptome and physiological analyses provide insights into the leaf epicuticular wax accumulation mechanism in yellowhorn显示文摘Plantations and production of yellowhorn,one of the most important woody oil and urban greening trees widely cultivated in northern China,have gradually become limited by drought stress.The epicuticular wax layer plays a key role in the protection of yellowhorn trees from drought and other stresses.However,there is no research on the mechanism of wax loading in yellowhorn trees.In this study,we investigated the anatomical and physiological characteristics of leaves from different germplasm resources and different parts of the same tree and compared their cuticle properties.In addition,the different expression patterns of genes involved in wax accumulation were analyzed,and a coexpression network was built based on transcriptome sequencing data.Morphological and physiological comparisons found that the sun leaves from the outer part of the crown had thicker epicuticular wax,which altered the permeability and improved the drought resistance of leaves,than did shade leaves.Based on transcriptome data,a total of 3008 and 1324 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were identified between the sun leaves and shade leaves in glossy-and non-glossy-type germplasm resources,respectively.We identified 138 DEGs involved in wax biosynthesis and transport,including structural genes(such as LACS8,ECH1,and ns-LTP)and transcription factors(such as MYB,WRKY,and bHLH transcription factor family proteins).The coexpression network showed a strong correlation between these DEGs.The differences in gene expression patterns between G-and NG-type germplasm resources under different light conditions were very clear.These results not only provide a theoretical basis for screening and developing drought-resistant yellowhorn germplasm resources but also provide a data platform to reveal the wax accumulation process of yellowhorn leaves. | Yang Zhao Xiaojuan Liu Mengke Wang Quanxin Bi Yifan Cui Libing Wang | 2021 | Horticulture Research2021,8,1: | 2 |

PCC 6803 is required for efficient repair of photosystem Ⅱ under high-light condition显示文摘Cyanobacteria are ancient photosynthetic prokareyotes that have adapted successfully to adverse environments including high-light irradiation. Although it is known that the repair of photodamaged photosystem Ⅱ(PSⅡ) in the organisms is a highly regulated process, our knowledge of the molecular components that regulate each step of the process is limited.We have previously identified a hypothetical protein Slr0151 in the membrane fractions of cyanobacterium Synechocystis sp.PCC 6803. Here, we report that Slr0151 is involved in PSⅡ repair of the organism. We generated a mutant strain(Dslr0151)lacking the protein Slr0151 and analyzed its characteristics under normal and high-light conditions. Targeted deletion of slr0151 resulted in decreased PSⅡ activity in Synechocystis. Moreover,the mutant exhibited increased photoinhibition due to impairment of PSⅡ repair under high-light condition. Further analysis using in vivo radioactive labeling and 2-D blue native/sodium dodecylsulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis indicated that the PSⅡ repair cycle was hindered at the levels of D1 synthesis and disassembly and/or assembly of PSⅡ in the mutant. Protein interaction assays demonstrated that Slr0151 interacts with D1 and CP43 proteins. | 20 | Multiplex detection of KRAS and BRAF mutations using cationic conjugated polymers显示文摘The mutation detections of KRAS and BRAF genes are of significant importance to predict the responses to anti-cancer therapy and develop new drugs. In this paper, we developed a multi-step fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET) assay for multiplex detection of KRAS and BRAF mutations using cationic conjugated polymers (CCP). The newly established detection system could detect as low as 2% mutant DNAs in DNA admixtures. By triggering the emission intensity change of CCP and the dyes labeled in the DNA, four possible statuses (three mutations and one wildtype) can be differentiated in one extension reaction. The detection efficiency of this new method in clinical molecular diagnosis was validated by determining KRAS and BRAF mutations of 51 formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) ovary tissue samples. Furthermore, the result of the CCP-based multi-step FRET assay can be directly visualized under UV light so that no expensive instruments and technical expertise are needed.
