| 1 | Morphological study on colonic pathology in ulcerative colitis treated by moxibustion显示文摘AIM To observe the therapeutic effect ofmoxibustion on ulcerative colitis and itsinfluence on the colonic mucosal morphology.METHODS Forty-six patients with ulcerativecolitis were randomly divided into themoxibustion with herbal medicine underneathgroup and the western medicine group.Thirtypatients were treated with the abovemoxibustion and 16 patients with Salicylayefapyridine(SASP).The colonic mucosa of 13patients in the moxibustion group was observedby colonoscopy before and after the treatment.Mucin was also analyzed by H.E and AB-PASstaining.RESULTS Seventeen patients were clinicallycured,12 were improved and 1 unchanged in themoxibustion group.In the control group,5patients were clinically cured,7 improved and 4unchanged.Thirteen patients with active UCwere taken as the subjects for histopathologicanalysis in this study.The colonic mucosallesions were remarkably improved and thecharacteristic of the mucin also changed.Inmost sections,the chronic inflammation ofmucosa was geatly ameliorated(P<0.01).Theinflammatory cell infiltratation much decreased and neutrophils,disapeared in most sections(P<0.001).The goblet cells significantlyincreased(P<0.001);crypt paracrypt abscessor mucosal ulceration was seen(P<0.001).CONCLUSION The rate of cure of ulcerative colitis by moxibustion with herbal medicine beneath is superior to that by SASP. GV1, GV2 and endosome releasing oligopeptide HA20 were conjugated with poly-L-lysine or protamine and the resulting conjugates could interact with DNA in a noncovalent bond to form a complex. Using pSV2-β-galactosidase as a reporter gene, it has been demonstrated that exogenous gene was transferred into bovine aortic arch-derived endothelial cells (ABAE) andhuman malignant melanoma cell lines (A375) in vitro. In vivo experiments, exogenous gene was transferred into tumor vascular endothelial cells and tumor cells of subcutaneously transplanted human colon cancer LOVO, human malignant melanoma A375 and human hepatoma graft in nude mice. This system could also target gene to intrahepatically transplanted human hepatoma injected via portal vein in nude mice. Objectives To assess whether intraoperative electromyography ( EMG) and brainstem auditory evoked potential ( BAEP) can predict DFP after MVD. Methods Between September 2009 and February 2011 we examined 86 patients,9 of whom ( 10. 4% ) developed DFP after MVD on the same side. All patients underwent MVD and were followed - up for a median period of 13 months ( range 6-22) . We retrospectively examined intraoperative facial EMG and BAEP findings using our MVD patients' registry. We excluded secondary HFS and immediate postoperative facial palsy after MVD in this study. We assessed the prevalence and clinical characteristics of DFP and compared EMG and BAEP findings between DFP and non-DFP groups. Results: All pa- tients recovered completely,with a mean time to recovery of 37. 8 days ( range 22-57) . There were no significant differences between DFP and non - DFP patients in terms of the amplitude and latency of intraoperative EMG and BAEP. Conclusion The usefulness of intraoperative facial EMG and BAEP is limited and cannot predict DFP after MVD for HFS. | 10 | A data-driven model predictive control for lighting system based on historical occupancy in an office building: Methodology development显示文摘The lighting system accounts for 8%of the total electricity consumption in commercial buildings in the United States and 12%of the total electricity consumption in public buildings globally.This consumption share can be effectively reduced using the demand-response control.The traditional lighting system control method commonly depends on the real-time occupancy data collected using the passive infrared(PIR)sensor.However,the detection inaccuracy of the PIR sensor usually results in false-offs.To diminish the false-error frequency,the existing lighting system control simply deploys a delayed reaction period(e.g.,5 to 20 min),which is not sufficiently accurate for the demand-response operation.Therefore,in this research,a novel data-driven model predictive control(MPC)method that is based on the temporal sequential-based artificial neural network(TS-ANN)is proposed to overcome this challenge using an updated historical occupancy status.Using an office as case study,the proposed model is also compared with the traditional lighting system control method.In the proposed model,the occupancy data was trained to predict the occupancy pattern to improve the control.It was found that the occupancy prediction mainly correlates with the historical occupancy ratio and the time sequential feature.The simulation results indicated that the proposed method achieved higher accuracy(97.4%)and fewer false-offs(from 79.5 with traditional time delay method to 0.6 times per day)are achieved by the MPC model.The proposed TS-ANN-MPC method integrates the analysis of the occupant behavior routine into on-site control and has the potential to further enhance the control performance practice for maximum energy conservation. | Yuan Jin Da Yan Xingxing Zhang Jingjing An Mengjie Han | 2021 | Building Simulation2021，14，1： | 6 |

In the uncertainty issue for the sonar performance, it is necessary to know this factor's statistical characteristics that are only obtained by data processing from the underwater ambient noise measurements. Broad-band ambient noise signals from 16 hydrophones were amplified and recorded for 2 min every 1 h. The results show that the ambient noise is essentially depth independent. The cross correlation of the ambient noise levels(1, 6 and 12 h average) with a wind speed is presented. | 14 | Adaptive backtracking search optimization algorithm with pattern search for numerical optimization显示文摘The backtracking search optimization algorithm(BSA) is one of the most recently proposed population-based evolutionary algorithms for global optimization. Due to its memory ability and simple structure, BSA has powerful capability to find global optimal solutions. However, the algorithm is still insufficient in balancing the exploration and the exploitation. Therefore, an improved adaptive backtracking search optimization algorithm combined with modified Hooke-Jeeves pattern search is proposed for numerical global optimization. It has two main parts: the BSA is used for the exploration phase and the modified pattern search method completes the exploitation phase. In particular, a simple but effective strategy of adapting one of BSA's important control parameters is introduced. The proposed algorithm is compared with standard BSA, three state-of-the-art evolutionary algorithms and three superior algorithms in IEEE Congress on Evolutionary Computation 2014(IEEE CEC2014) over six widely-used benchmarks and 22 real-parameter single objective numerical optimization benchmarks in IEEE CEC2014. | 15 | Hwangryunhaedoktang exerts anti-inflammation on LPS-induced NO production by suppressing MAPK and NF-κB activation in RAW264.7 macrophages显示文摘OBJECTIVE: This study aimed to evaluate whether Hwangryunhaedoktang(HHT), a herbal compound, has an inhibitory effect on lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-induced inflammation in RAW264.7 macrophages.METHODS: The effects of HHT were evaluated by confirming nitric oxide(NO) production and expression of inducible NO synthase(iN OS) and mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs) in LPS-stimulated RAW264.7 macrophages via the Griess assay, Western blotting, and real-time reverse transcription quantitative polymerase chain reaction. Western blot analyses and luciferase assays were used to evaluate whether HHT has an effect on the phosphorylation and translocation of nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB). The secretion and expression of tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) and interleukin-6(IL-6) were determined via enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and Western blot analyses.RESULTS: HHT suppressed LPS-induced NO production and expression of iN OS in a dose-dependent manner. Additionally, MAPKs activation was also attenuated via inhibition of phosphorylation of extracellular signal-regulated kinases 1/2, c-Jun N-terminal kinase and p38 which were related to inflammatory pathway. Furthermore, HHT also effectively attenuated NF-κB activation and its translocation to the nucleus, a process that is closely linked to inflammation. LPS normally induced the expression of inflammatory cytokines such as TNF-α and IL-6, but the secretion and expression of TNF-α and IL-6 were significantly attenuated by pretreating the cells with HHT.CONCLUSION: HHT suppressed LPS-induced NO production by blocking the activation of NF-κB and MAPK signaling pathways in RAW264.7 macrophages. Furthermore, HHT may have an anti-inflammatory effect by suppressing the LPS-induced secretion of TNF-α and IL-6. | 20 | Involvement of heme oxygenase-1 induction in anti-vascular inflammation effects of Xanthoceras sorbifolia in human umbilical vein endothelial cells显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To define the effects of Xanthoceras sorbifolia(EXS) on vascular inflammation and the mechanisms in endothelial cells.METHODS: Vascular protective effects of an ethanol extract of seeds from EXS(1-50 μg/mL) against tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α)-induced vascularinflammation were examined in human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs).RESULTS: EXS significantly decreased TNF-α-induced expression of cell adhesion molecules, such as intracellular adhesion molecule-1, vascular cell adhesion molecule-1, and endothelial cell selectin,in a dose-dependent manner. Pre-treatment with EXS significantly inhibited translocation and transcriptional activity of nuclear factor-κB(NF-κB) increased by TNF-α. EXS also significantly inhibited formation of intracellular reactive oxygen species(ROS). Moreover, the vascular protective effects of EXS were linked to up-regulation of heme oxygenase-1(HO-1) and nuclear factor E2-related factor-2(Nrf-2) expression. EXS-induced HO-1 expression was significantly decreased in SnPP(HO-1 inhibitor)-and HO-1 siRNA-treated cells, whereas an increase was found in cobalt protoporphyrin IX(CoPP)(HO-1 inducer)-treated cells. In addition, pretreatment with EXS increased HO-1 and Nrf-2 expression under TNF-α stimulation with or without N-acetyl-L-cysteine.
