4Comparison of Two Air Pollution Episodes over Northeast China in Winter 2016/17 Using Ground-Based Lidar显示文摘This study analyzes and compares aerosol properties and meteorological conditions during two air pollution episodes in 19–22(E1) and 25–26(E2) December 2016 in Northeast China. The visibility, particulate matter(PM) mass concentration, and surface meteorological observations were examined, together with the planetary boundary layer(PBL) properties and vertical profiles of aerosol extinction coefficient and volume depolarization ratio that were measured by a ground-based lidar in Shenyang of Liaoning Province, China during December 2016–January 2017.Results suggest that the low PBL height led to poor pollution dilution in E1, while the high PBL accompanied by low visibility in E2 might have been due to cross-regional and vertical air transmission. The PM mass concentration decreased as the PBL height increased in E1 while these two variables were positively correlated in E2. The enhanced winds in E2 diffused the pollutants and contributed largely to the aerosol transport. Strong temperature inversion in E1 resulted in increased PM2.5 and PM10 concentrations, and the winds in E2 favoured the southwesterly transport of aerosols from the North China Plain into the region surrounding Shenyang. The large extinction coefficient was partially attributed to the local pollution under the low PBL with high ground-surface PM mass concentrations in E1,whereas the cross-regional transport of aerosols within a high PBL and the low PM mass concentration near the ground in E2 were associated with severe aerosol extinction at high altitudes. 5A 1-dodecanethiol-based phase transfer protocol for the highly efficient extraction of noble metal ions from aqueous phase显示文摘A 1-dodecanethiol-based phase-transfer protocol is developed for the extraction of noble metal ions from aqueous solution to a hydrocarbon phase, which calls for first mixing the aqueous metal ion solution with an ethanolic solution of 1-dodecanethiol, and then extracting the coordination compounds formed between noble metal ions and1-dodecanethiol into a non-polar organic solvent. A number of characterization techniques,including inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectroscopy, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, and thermogravimetric analysis demonstrate that this protocol could be applied to extract a wide variety of noble metal ions from water to dichloromethane with an efficiency of > 96%, and has high selectivity for the separation of the noble metal ions from other transition metals. 6Tubeimoside-1 induces TFEB-dependent lysosomal degradation of PD-L1 and promotes antitumor immunity by targeting mTOR显示文摘Programmed cell death ligand 1(PD-L1)/programmed cell death protein 1(PD-1)cascade is an effective therapeutic target for immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)therapy.Targeting PD-L1/PD-1 axis by small-molecule drug is an attractive approach to enhance antitumor immunity.Using flow cytometry-based assay,we identify tubeimoside-1(TBM-1)as a promising antitumor immune modulator that negatively regulates PD-L1 level.TBM-1 disrupts PD-1/PD-L1 interaction and enhances the cytotoxicity of T cells toward cancer cells through decreasing the abundance of PD-L1.Furthermore,TBM-1 exerts its antitumor effect in mice bearing Lewis lung carcinoma(LLC)and B16 melanoma tumor xenograft via activating tumor-infiltrating T-cell immunity.Mechanistically,TBM-1 triggers PD-L1 lysosomal degradation in a TFEB-dependent,autophagy-independent pathway.TBM-1 selectively binds to the mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR)kinase and suppresses the activation of m TORC1,leading to the nuclear translocation of TFEB and lysosome biogenesis.Moreover,the combination of TBM-1 and anti-CTLA-4 effectively enhances antitumor T-cell immunity and reduces immunosuppressive infiltration of myeloid-derived suppressor cells(MDSCs)and regulatory T(Treg)cells.Our findings reveal a previously unrecognized antitumor mechanism of TBM-1 and represent an alternative ICB therapeutic strategy to enhance the efficacy of cancer immunotherapy.Xiaojia Liu Mingxiao Yin Jingwen Dong Genxiang Mao Wenjian Min Zean Kuang Peng Yang Lu Liu Na Zhang Hongbin Deng 2021Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2021,11,10:5

8Production of gasoline range hydrocarbons from methanol on hierarchical ZSM-5 and Zn/ZSM-5 catalyst prepared with soft second template显示文摘Nano hierarchical mesoporous ZSM-5 catalysts were prepared with cationic dimethyldiallyl ammonium chloride acrylamide copolymer(PDDA) as a soft second template. Using ZSM-5 catalyst as a matrix,Zn/ZSM-5 catalysts were also obtained by the wet impregnation method. The effect of the PDDA amount and Zn loadings on the properties of the catalysts,including crystallinity,morphology,textural properties,acid nature and catalytic activity in MTG reaction,was investigated by XRD,FESEM,TEM,Nitrogen adsorption–desorption isotherms and NH3-TPD method,respectively. 9Influence of nano-diamond content on the microstructure,mechanical and thermal properties of the ZK60 composites显示文摘The effect of nano diamond(ND)content on the microstructure,mechanical properties,and thermal conductivity of ZK60+x(x=0,0.05,0.1,0.15,0.2 wt.%)ND composites were investigated.The microstructures of ND/ZK60 composites were observed,which indicated that the nanoscale MgZn_(2) and ND particles distributed evenly in theα-Mg matrix.The tensile yield strength(TYS)and compressive yield strength(CYS)of the composites first increased remarkably and then decreased with further increasing the ND content.Due to the surface area of the matrix-diamond interface increased and the grains sizes of composites decreased with the amount of ND increase,which cause the coefficient of thermal expansion(CTE)of the composites reduced significantly.Meanwhile,the thermal conductivity of the composite material decreases from 129 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) to 116 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) with the content of ND increasing from 0.05%to 2.0%.The thermal conductivity of the composites increases to the maximum and then decrease with the increase of temperature(in temperature range of 273-573 K).The ZK60+0.05 ND showed superior mechanical and thermal conductivity property,TYS of 343.97 MPa,CYS of 341.74 MPa,elongation of 15.71%,CTE of 7.3×10^(−6)K^(−1),and thermal conductivity of 129 W·m^(−1)·K^(−1) at room temperature.It is demonstrated that the ND content has an obvious influence on the microstructure,mechanical properties,and thermal conductivity of ND/ZK60 composites.Hongbin Ma Jinhui Wang Hongyu Wang Ningning Dong Junwei Zhang Peipeng Jin Yong Peng 2022Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2022,10,2:3

11Cyclical helping hands: seasonal tailwinds differentially affect migrating Oriental Storks (Ciconia boyciana) travel speed显示文摘Background:The Oriental Stork(Ciconia boyciana)breeds in southeastern Siberia and parts of northeast China,and winters mainly in southeast China.Although the autumn migration pattern of Oriental Storks has been previ-ously described,differences between spring and autumn migration travel speed in relation to wind assistance were unknown.Methods:Using GPS/GSM transmitters,we tracked the full migrations of 18 Oriental Storks during 2015-2018 to compare differences in autumn and spring migration patterns,and combined the satellite telemetry data with the National Center for Environmental Prediction Reanalysis data to explain the relationship between 850 mbar wind vec-tors and seasonal differences in travel speed.Results:Differences in tailwinds contributed to significant differences in daily average Oriental Storks travel speed in spring(258.11±64.8 km/day)compared to autumn(172.23±49.7 km/day,p<0.001).Storks stopped significantly more often in autumn than spring(1.78±1.1 versus 1.06±0.9,p<0.05),but stopover duration(15.52±12.4 versus 16.30±15.1 days,respectively,p=0.3)did not differ significantly.Tailwinds at 850 mbar pressure level(extracted from the National Center of Environmental Prediction Reanalysis data archive)significantly affected daily flying speed dur-ing spring and autumn migration.Tailwind conditions in spring(mean 4.40±5.6 m/s)were always more favourable than in autumn when they received no net benefit(0.48±5.6 m/s,p<0.001).Despite mean spring migration dura-tion being less than autumn(27.52±15.9 versus 32.77±13.4 days,p=0.17),large individual variation meant that this duration did not differ significantly from each other.Conclusions:For long distance migratory soaring birds(such as storks),relative duration of spring and autumn migration likely relates to the interaction between imperative for earliest arrival to breeding grounds and seasonal meteorological conditions experienced en route.Shujuan Fan Qingshan Zhao Hongbin Li Baoguang Zhu Shubin Dong Yanbo Xie Lei Cao Anthony David Fox 2020Avian Research2020,11,2:2
