1ZmCOL3, a CCT gene represses flowering in maize by interfering with the circadian clock and activating expression of ZmCCT显示文摘Flowering time is a trait vital to the adaptation of flowering plants to different environments.Here, we report that CCT domain genes play an important role in flowering in maize(Zea mays L.).Among the 53 CCT family genes we identified in maize, 28 were located in flowering time quantitative trait locus regions and 15 were significantly associated with flowering time, based on candidate-gene association mapping analysis.Furthermore, a CCT gene named ZmCOL3 was shown to be a repressor of flowering.Overexpressing ZmCOL3 delayed flowering time by approximately 4 d, in either long-day or short-day conditions.The absence of one cytosine in the ZmCOL3 3'UTR and the presence of a 551 bp fragment in the promoter region are likely the causal polymorphisms contributing to the maize adaptation from tropical to temperate regions.We propose a modified model of the maize photoperiod pathway, wherein ZmCOL3 acts as an inhibitor of flowering either by transactivating transcription of ZmCCT, one of the key genes regulating maize flowering, or by interfering with the circadian clock.Minliang Jin Xiangguo Liu Wei Jia Haijun Liu Wenqiang Li Yong Peng Yanfang Du Yuebin Wang Yuejia Yin Xuehai Zhang Qing Liu Min Deng Nan Li Xiyan Cui Dongyun Hao Jianbing Yan 2018Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2018,60,6:14
2Investigating the dynamic mechanical behaviors of polyurea through experimentation and modeling显示文摘Polyurea is widely employed as a protective coating in many fields because of its superior ability to improve the anti-blast and anti-impact capability of structures.In this study,the mechanical properties of polyurea XS-350 were investigated via systematic experimentation over a wide range of strain rates(0.001-7000 s^-1)by using an MTS,Instron VHS,and split-Hopkinson bars.The stress-strain behavior of polyurea was obtained for various strain rates,and the effects of strain rate on the primary mechanical properties were analyzed.Additionally,a modified rate-dependent constitutive model is proposed based on the nine-parameter Mooney-Rivlin model.The results show that the stress-strain curves can be divided into three distinct regions:the linear-elastic stage,the highly elastic stage,and an approximate linear region terminating in fracture.The mechanical properties of the polyurea material were found to be highly dependent on the strain rate.Furthermore,a comparison between model predictions and the experimental stress-strain curves demonstrated that the proposed model can characterize the mechanical properties of polyurea over a wide range of strain rates.Hao Wang Ximin Deng Haijun Wu Aiguo Pi Jinzhu Li Fenglei Huang 2019Defence Technology(防务技术)2019,15,6:13
3Runoff Responses to Climate Change in Arid Region of Northwestern China During 1960-2010显示文摘Based on runoff, air temperature, and precipitation data from 1960 to 2010, the effects of climate change on water resources in the arid region of the northwestern China were investigated. The long-term trends of hydroclimatic variables were studied by using both Mann-Kendall test and distributed-free cumulative sum (CUSUM) chart test. Results indicate that the mean annual air temperature increases significantly from 1960 to 2010. The annual precipitation exhibits an increasing trend, especially in the south slope of the Tianshan Mountains and the North Uygur Autonomous Region of Xinjiang in the study period. Step changes occur in 1988 in the mean annual air temperature time series and in 1991 in the precipitation time series. The runoff in different basins shows different trends, i.e., significantly increasing in the Kaidu River, the Aksu River and the Shule River, and decreasing in the Shiyang River. Correlation analysis reveals that the runoff in the North Xinjiang (i.e., the Weigan River, the Heihe River, and the Shiyang River) has a strong positive relationship with rainfall, while that in the south slope of the Tianshan Mountains, the middle section of the north slope of the Tianshan Mountains and the Shule River has a strong positive relationship with air temperature. The trends of runoff have strong negative correlations with glacier coverage and the proportion of glacier water in runoff. From the late 1980s, the climate has become warm and wet in the arid region of the northwestern China. The change in runoff is interacted with air temperature, precipitation and glacier coverage. 4Hydrochemical Characteristics and the Suitability of Groundwater in the Coastal Region of Tangshan, China显示文摘Through collecting groundwater samples from the coastal region of Tangshan, China, the hydrochemical processes that affect the chemical composition of groundwater and the quality of resources were analyzed. Chemical constituents, factor analysis, and a graphic method were employed in this research. The results show that human activities obviously affect fresh groundwater. The deep groundwater distributed in the southern part of the region is severely affected by salinization, and the shallow groundwater in the north is also beginning to show the same deterioration. The chemical concentrations of the deep groundwater depend largely upon the water-rock interaction, the mixing of saline water and the ion exchange processes. With the exception of sample C-33, all the groundwater samples in the study area are suitable for drinking. Tests show that roughly half of the deep groundwater samples have at least one water quality index indicating that it is chemically doubtful or unsuitable for irrigation. Therefore, it is concluded that deep groundwater is becoming an unacceptable resource to irrigate areas located near the coastline because the groundwater quality in the study area is exhibiting signs of degradation. 6Patients with SARS-CoV-2 and HBV coinfection are at risk of greater liver injury显示文摘To date,it remains unclear if severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)co-infection exacerbates liver injury in patients with chronic hepatitis B virus(HBV)infection.In this study,we present a retrospective study of 133 hospitalized confirmed mild coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19)cases,including 116 patients with COVID-19 with negative serum hepatitis B antigen and 17 HBV inactive carriers with COVID-19.We found that there were no significant differences for the discharge rate or duration of hospitalization be-tween the two groups.However,inactive HBV carriers with SARS-CoV-2 co-infection are at a higher risk of abnormal liver function tests.The enhanced liver injury induced by SARS-CoV-2 and HBV co-infection was identified as the hepatocyte type rather than the cholangiocyte type.Moreover,the inflammatory response,including abnormal lactate dehydrogenase,D-dimer and interleukin-6 production,may contribute to this injury following SARS-CoV-2 co-infection.Collectively,SARS-CoV-2 and HBV co-infection exacerbates liver function of the pa-tients with COVID-19.Yong Lin Jun Yuan Quanxin Long Jieli Hu Haijun Deng Zhenyu Zhao Juan Chen Mengji Lu Ailong Huang 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,4:5
7Distributed Average Consensus in Multi-agent Networks with Limited Bandwidth and Time-delays显示文摘This paper studies the distributed average consensus problem of multi-agent digital networks with time-delays. For the network, each agent can only exchange symbolic data with its neighbours. We provide a distributed average consensus protocol which uses the quantized and time-delay information. We consider two types of dynamic encoders/decoders in our protocol.One uses inverse proportion function as scaling function, while the other uses exponential function as scaling function. All agents can reach average consensus asymptotically with our protocol.Furthermore, we show that the average consensus protocol is robust to finite symmetric time-delays, but is sensitive to asymmetric time-delays that will destroy the average consensus of the networks. 9Structural patterns of fault damage zones in carbonate rocks and their influences on petroleum accumulation in Tazhong Paleo-uplift, Tarim Basin, NW China显示文摘Based on the outcrop survey,3D seismic data interpretation,drilling data analysis,the structural patterns and distribution of fault damage zones in carbonate strata of Tazhong Paleo-uplift were established to reveal the oil and gas enrichment law in the fault damage zones.The following findings were reached:(1)Through the filed survey,the fault damage zone system consists of fault core,damage zone with branch fault and fracture network.Affected by the active nature of the major faults,the fault damage zones differ in planar pattern and scale along the major faults.(2)3D seismic profiles reveal that there are three types of fault damage zones in carbonate strata in Tazhong paleo-uplift,strike-slip fault damage zones,thrust fault damage zones and superimposed fault damage zones.Featuring3 flowers and 3 root belts in vertical,the strike-slip fault damage zone can be subdivided into linear type,oblique type,feather type and horsetail type in plane.Thrust fault damage zones can be further divided into fault anticline type,anticline type and slope type.As the superimposition result of the above two kinds of fault damage zones,superimposed fault damage zones appear in three patterns,intersect type,encompassment type and penetrating type.(3)Cores from wells and geochemical data show oil and gas may migrate along the major fault and laterally.The feather type in strike-slip fault system,fault anticline type in thrust fault damage zone and intersect type in superimposed fault damage zone are possible sites for high production and efficiency wells.NENG Yuan YANG Haijun DENG Xingliang 2018Petroleum Exploration and Development2018,45,1:4
10First experimental constraints on WIMP couplings in the effective field theory framework from CDEX显示文摘We present weakly interacting massive particles(WIMPs) search results performed using two approaches of effective field theory from the China Dark Matter Experiment(CDEX), based on the data from both CDEX-1B and CDEX-10 stages. In the nonrelativistic effective field theory approach, both time-integrated and annual modulation analyses were used to set new limits for the coupling of WIMP-nucleon effective operators at 90% confidence level(C.L.) and improve over the current bounds in the low mχregion. In the chiral effective field theory approach, data from CDEX-10 were used to set an upper limit on WIMP-pion coupling at 90% C.L. 11First results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from CDEX-1 experiment显示文摘We report the first results on ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay from stage one of the China dark-matter experiment(CDEX).A p-type point-contact high-purity germanium detector with a mass of 994 g has been installed to detect neutrinoless double beta decay events, as well as to directly detect dark matter particles. An exposure of 304 kg d has been analyzed over a wide spectral band from 500 keV to 3 MeV. The average event rate obtained was about 0.012 counts per keV per kg per day over the 2.039 MeV energy range. The half-life of ^(76)Ge neutrinoless double beta decay derived based on this result is T^(0ν)1/2>6.4×10^(22) yr(90% C.L.). 13Depletion of VPS35 attenuates metastasis of hepatocellular carcinoma by restraining the Wnt/PCP signaling pathway显示文摘Vesicle Protein Sorting 35(VPS35)is a novel oncogene that promotes tumor growth through the PI3K/AKT signaling in hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).However,the role of VPS35 in HCC metastasis and the underlying mechanisms remain largely unclear.In this study,we observed that overexpression of VPS35 enhanced hepatoma cell invasion and metastasis by inducing epithelialemesenchymal transition(EMT)-related gene expression.Conversely,knockout of VPS35 significantly inhibited hepatoma cell migration and invasion.Furthermore,depletion of VPS35 decreased the lung metastasis of HCC in nude mice.By transcriptome analysis,we determined that VPS35 promoted HCC metastasis by activating the Wnt/non-canonical planar cell polarity(PCP)pathway.Mechanistically,VPS35 activated the PCP pathway by regulating membrane sorting and trafficking of Frizzled-2(FZD2)and ROR1 in hepatoma cells.Collectively,our results indicate that VPS35 promotes HCC metastasis via enhancing the Wnt/PCP signaling,thus providing a potential prognostic marker and therapeutic target for HCC.Yi Liu Haijun Deng Li Liang Guiji Zhang Jie Xia Keyue Ding Ni Tang Kai Wang 2021Genes & Diseases2021,8,2:2
14A facile and general method for synthesis of antibiotic-free protein-based hydrogel:Wound dressing for the eradication of drug-resistant bacteria and biofilms显示文摘Antibacterial protein hydrogels are receiving increasing attention in the aspect of bacteria-infected-wound healing. However, bacterial drug resistance and biofilm infections lead to hard healing of wounds, thus the construction of biological agents that can overcome these issues is essential. Here, a simple and universal method to construct antibiotic-free protein hydrogel with excellent biocompatibility and superior antibacterial activity against drug-resistant bacteria and biofilms was developed. The green industrial microbicide tetrakis (hydroxymethyl) phosphonium sulfate (THPS) as cross-linking agent can be quickly cross-linked with model protein bovine serum albumin (BSA) to form antibacterial hydrogel through simple mixing without any other initiators, subsequently promoting drug-resistance bacteria-infected wound healing. This simple gelatinization strategy allows at least ten different proteins to form hydrogels (e.g. BSA, human serum albumin (HSA), egg albumin, chymotrypsin, trypsin, lysozyme, transferrin, myohemoglobin, hemoglobin, and phycocyanin) under the same conditions, showing prominent universality. Furthermore, drug-resistance bacteria and biofilm could be efficiently destroyed by the representative BSA hydrogel (B-Hydrogel) with antibacterial activity, overcoming biofilm-induced bacterial resistance. The in vivo study demonstrated that the B-Hydrogel as wound dressing can promote reepithelization to accelerate the healing of methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-infected skin wounds without inducing significant side-effect. 15Electric field controlled superlubricity of fullerene-based host–guest assembly显示文摘Controlling friction by the electric field is a promising way to improve the tribological performance of a variety of movable mechanical systems.In this work,the assembly structure and microscale superlubricity of a host–guest assembly are effectively controlled by the electric field.With the help of the scanning tunneling microscopy(STM)technique,the host–guest assembly structures constructed by the co-assembly of fullerene derivative(Fluorene-C60)with macrocycles(4B2A and 3B2A)are explicitly characterized.Combined with density functional theory(DFT),the distinct different assembly behaviors of fullerene derivatives are revealed at different probe biases,which is attributed to the molecular polarity of the fullerene derivative.Through the control on the adsorption behavior,the friction coefficient of host–guest assembly is demonstrated to be controllable in the electric field by using atomic force microscopy(AFM).At positive probe bias,the friction coefficient of the host–guest assembly is significantly reduced and achieves superlubricity(μmin=0.0049).The efforts not only help us gain insight into the host–guest assembly mechanism controlled by the electric field,but also promote the further application of fullerene in micro-electro-mechanical systems(MEMS).Shanchao Tan Hongyu Shi Xin Du Kunpeng Wang Haijun Xu Junhua Wan Ke Deng Qingdao Zeng Yuhong Liu 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:1

19Characteristics and development model of karst reservoirs in the fourth member of Sinian Dengying Formation in central Sichuan Basin,SW China显示文摘The reservoir space,types and distribution characteristics of karst carbonate gas reservoirs in the fourth member of Sinian Dengying Formation(Deng 4 Member)in central Sichuan Basin are analyzed based on the drilling,logging and seismic data.A development model of karst reservoirs is constructed to support the high-efficiency development of gas pools.The research shows that the reservoirs in Deng 4 Member have mainly small-scale karst vugs and fractures as storage space,and can be divided into three types,fracture-vug,pore-vug and pore types.The development patterns of the karst reservoirs are determined.On the plane,the karst layers increase from 65 m to 170 m in thickness from the karst platform to the karst slope,and the high-quality reservoirs increase from 25.0 m to 42.2 m in thickness;vertically,the reservoirs at the top of Deng 4 Member appear in multiple layers,and show along-bedding and along fracture dissolution characteristics.The reservoirs at the bottom are characterized by the dissolution parallel to the water level during the karstification period,and have 3-5 large-scale fracture-cave systems.Based on the reservoir development characteristics and the genetic mechanism,three types of reservoir development models of karst reservoir are established,i.e.,bed-dissolved body,fracture-dissolved body and paleohorizon-dissolved body.The construction of karst reservoir development models and seismic response characteristics of the three types of reservoirs can provide parameter for well placement and trajectory design,and substantially improve productivity and development indices of individual wells and gas reservoirs.The designed production capacity of the gas reservoir has enhanced from the initial 3.6 billion to 6 billion cubic meters,making the profit of the reservoir development increase noticeably.YAN Haijun HE Dongbo JIA Ailin LI Zhiping GUO Jianlin PENG Xian MENG Fankun LI Xinyu ZHU Zhanmei DENG Hui XIA Qinyu ZHENG Guoqiang YANG Shan SHI Xiaomin 2022Petroleum Exploration and Development2022,49,4:1
