| 1 | Biostratigraphy and geography of the Ordovician-Silurian Lungmachi black shales in South China显示文摘Based on the new material of seven Ordovician-Silurian boundary sections investigated recently, together with previously published data, we analyze the temporal and spatial distributions of the Lungmachi black shales, a key petroleum source bed widely distributed in South China. The Lungmachi black shales range in age from the Normalograptus persculptus Biozone of the uppermost Ordovician to the Spirograptus guerichi Biozone of the lower Telychian, and ten graptolite biozones can be recognized within this unit. The basal and upper contacts of the Lungmachi black shales are diachronous. The basal contact ranges from the N. persculptus to the C. cyphus biozones, a span of five graptolite biozones over two stages. The upper contact ranges from the D. pectinatus-M. argenteus Biozone to the Spirograptus guerichi Biozone, which spans four graptolite biozones over two stages. The Yichang Uplift resulted in the formation of the Hunan-Hubei Submarine High in the border area of Hubei, Hunan, and Chongqing. This is supported by a break in sedimentation in this area spanning all or part of the Hirnantian, and in many areas extending into the underlying Katian and overlying Rhuddanian. Comparison of the distribution of the Katian to Rhuddanian strata in this area indicates a growth and subsequent reduction in area of the Hunan-Hubei Submarine High particularly in the Hirnantian to early Rhuddanian. | 2 | Synthesis of novel nanomaterials and their application in efficient removal of radionuclides显示文摘With the development of nuclear energy, large amounts of radionuclides are inevitably released into the natural environment. It is necessary to eliminate radionuclides from wastewater for the protection of environment. Nanomaterials have been considered as the potential candidates for the effective and selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions under complicated conditions because of their high specific surface area, large amounts of binding sites, abundant functional groups, pore-size controllable and easily surface modification. This review mainly summarized the recent studies for the synthesis, fabrication and surface modification of novel nanomaterials and their applications in the efficient elimination and solidification of radionuclides,and discussed the interaction mechanisms from batch experiments, spectroscopy analysis and theoretical calculations. | 6 | Delay-dependent stability and added damping of SDOF real-time dynamic hybrid testing显示文摘It is well-recognized that a transfer system response delay that reduces the test stability inevitably exists in real-time dynamic hybrid testing (RTDHT).This paper focuses on the delay-dependent stability and added damping of SDOF systems in RTDHT.The exponential delay term is transferred into a rational fraction by the Padé approximation, and the delay-dependent stability conditions and instability mechanism of SDOF RTDHT systems are investigated by the root locus technique.First, the stability conditions are discussed separately for the cases of stiffness, mass, and damping experimental substructure.The use of root locus plots shows that the added damping effect and instability mechanism for mass are different from those for stiffness.For the stiffness experimental substructure case, the instability results from the inherent mode because of an obvious negative damping effect of the delay.For the mass case, the delay introduces an equivalent positive damping into the inherent mode, and instability occurs at an added high frequency mode.Then, the compound stability condition is investigated for a general case and the results show that the mass ratio may have both upper and lower limits to remain stable.Finally, a high-emulational virtual shaking table model is built to validate the stability conclusions. | Chi Fudong Wang Jinting Jin Feng | 2010 | Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2010,9,3: | 13 |
| 7 | The effect of hematoma puncture drainage before decompressive craniectomy on the prognosis of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage with cerebral hernia at a high altitude显示文摘Purpose:Rapid decompressive craniectomy(DC)was the most effective method for the treatment of hypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage(HICH)with cerebral hernia,but the mortality and disability rate is still high.We suspected that hematoma puncture drainage(PD)+DC may improve the therapeutic effect and thus compared the combined surgery with DC alone.Methods:From December 2013 to July 2019,patients with HICH from Linzhi,Tibet and Honghe,Yunnan Province were retrospectively analyzed.The selection criteria were as follows:(1)altitude≥1500 m;(2)HICH patients with cerebral hernia;(3)Glascow coma scale score of 4-8 and time from onset to admission≤3 h;(4)good liver and kidney function;and(5)complete case data.The included patients were divided into DC group and PD+DC group.The patients were followed up for 6 months.The outcome was assessed by Glasgow outcome scale(GOS)score,Kaplan-Meier survival curve and correlation between time from admission to operation and prognosis.A good outcome was defined as independent(GOS score,4-5)and poor outcome defined as dependent(GOS score,3-1).All data analyses were performed using SPSS 19,and comparison between two groups was conducted using separatet-tests or Chi-square tests.Results:A total of 65 patients was included.The age ranged 34-90 years(mean,63.00±14.04 years).Among them,31 patients had the operation of PD+DC,whereas 34 patients underwent DC.The two groups had no significant difference in the basic characteristics.After 6 months of follow-up,in the PD+DC group there were 8 death,4 vegetative state,4 severe disability(GOS score 1-3,poor outcome 51.6%);8 moderate disability,and 7 good recovery(GOS score 4-5,good outcome 48.4%);while in the DC group the result was 15 death,6 vegetative state,5 severe disability(poor outcome 76.5%),4 moderate disability and 4 good recovery(good outcome 23.5%).The GOS score and good outcome were significantly less in DC group than in PD+DC group(Z=-1.993,p=0.046;χ2=4.38,p=0.043).However,there was no significant difference regarding the survival curve between PD+DC group and DC group.The correlation between the time from admission to operation and GOS at 6 months(r=-0.41,R2=0.002,p=0.829)was not significant in the PD+DC group,but significant in the DC group(r=-0.357,R2=0.128,p=0.038).Conclusion:PD+DC treatment can improve the good outcomes better than DC treatment for HICH with cerebral hernia at a high altitude. | Lin-Jie Wei Chi Lin Xing-Sen Xue Guo-Dong Dun Jian-Bo Zhang Yan-Xiang Tong Jia-Xiong Wang Shi-Ji Yang Ling Wang Zhi Chen Hua Feng Gang Zhu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2021,24,6: | 11 |

| 9 | Chinese Herbal Medicine Combined with Entecavir for HBeAg Positive Chronic Hepatitis B:Study Protocol for a Multi-Center,Double-Blind Randomized-Controlled Trial显示文摘Background: The domestic prevalence of chronic hepatitis B(CHB) in China is 7.18% in 2006, imposing great societal healthcare burdens. Nucleot(s)ide analogues(NUCs) anti-hepatitis B virus(HBV) therapies are widely applied despite the relatively low rate of seroconversion and high risk of drug-resistant mutation. More effective treatments for CHB deserve further explorations. Combined therapy of NUCs plus Chinese herbal medicine(CHM) is widely accepted in China, which is recognized as a prospective alternative approach. The study was primarily designed to confirm the hypothesis that Tiaogan-Yipi Granule(调肝益脾颗粒, TGYP) or Tiaogan-Jianpi-Jiedu Granule(调肝健脾解毒颗粒, TGJPJD) plus entecavir tablet(ETV) was superior over ETV monotherapy in enhancing HBeA g loss rate. Methods: The study was a nationwide, large-scale, multi-center, double-blind, randomized, placebo-control ed trial with a designed duration of 108 weeks. A total of 16 hospitals and 596 eligible Chinese HBeA g positive CHB patients were enrolled from November 2012 to September 2013 and randomly allocated into 2 groups in 1:1 ratio via central randomization system: experimental group(EG) and control group(CG). Subjects in EG received CM formulae(TGYP or TGJPJD, 50 g per dose, twice daily) plus ETV tablet(or ETV placebo) 0.5 mg per day in the first 24 weeks(stage 1), and CHM granule plus ETV tablet(0.5 mg per day) from week 25 to 108(stage 2). Subjects in CG received CHM Granule placebo plus ETV tablet(0.5 mg per day) for 108 weeks throughout the trial. The assessments of primary outcomes(HBV serum markers and HBV-DNA) were conducted by a third-party College of American Pathologists(CAP) qualified laboratory. Adverse effects were observed in the hospitals of recruitment. Discussion: The study was designed to compare the curative effect of CM plus ETV and ETV monotherapy in respect of HBe Ag loss, which is recognized by the European Association for the Study of the Liver as 'a valuable endpoint'. We believe this trial could provide a reliable status for patients' 'journey' towards durable responses after treatment discontinuation. | 10 | ATF3 contributes to brucine-triggered glioma cell ferroptosis via promotion of hydrogen peroxide and iron显示文摘Ferroptotic cell death is characterized by iron-dependent lipid peroxidation that is initiated by ferrous iron and H_(2)O_(2) via Fenton reaction,in which the role of activating transcription factor 3(ATF3)remains elusive.Brucine is a weak alkaline indole alkaloid extracted from the seeds of Strychnos nux-vomica,which has shown potent antitumor activity against various tumors,including glioma.In this study,we showed that brucine inhibited glioma cell growth in vitro and in vivo,which was paralleled by nuclear translocation of ATF3,lipid peroxidation,and increases of iron and H_(2)O_(2).Furthermore,brucine-induced lipid peroxidation was inhibited or exacerbated when intracellular iron was chelated by deferoxamine(500μM)or improved by ferric ammonium citrate(500μM).Suppression of lipid peroxidation with lipophilic antioxidants ferrostatin-1(50μM)or liproxstatin-1(30μM)rescued brucine-induced glioma cell death.Moreover,knockdown of ATF3 prevented brucine-induced accumulation of iron and H_(2)O_(2) and glioma cell death.We revealed that brucine induced ATF3 upregulation and translocation into nuclei via activation of ER stress.ATF3 promoted brucine-induced H_(2)O_(2) accumulation via upregulating NOX4 and SOD1 to generate H_(2)O_(2) on one hand,and downregulating catalase and xCT to prevent H_(2)O_(2) degradation on the other hand.H_(2)O_(2) then contributed to brucine-triggered iron increase and transferrin receptor upregulation,as well as lipid peroxidation.This was further verified by treating glioma cells with exogenous H_(2)O_(2) alone.Moreover,H_(2)O_(2) reversely exacerbated brucine-induced ER stress.Taken together,ATF3 contributes to brucine-induced glioma cell ferroptosis via increasing H_(2)O_(2) and iron. | Shan Lu Xuan-zhong Wang Chuan He Lei Wang Shi-peng Liang Chong-cheng Wang Chen Li Tian-fei Luo Chun-sheng Feng Zhen-chuan Wang Guang-fan Chi Peng-fei Ge | 2021 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2021,42,10: | 10 |
| 11 | KIF2C:a novel link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling in the pathogenesis of hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is the most common primary liver malignancy and is the fourth-leading cause of cancer-related deaths worldwide.HCC is refractory to many standard cancer treatments and the prognosis is often poor,highlighting a pressing need to identify biomarkers of aggressiveness and potential targets for future treatments.Kinesin family member 2C(KIF2C)is reported to be highly expressed in several human tumors.Nevertheless,the molecular mechanisms underlying the role of KIF2C in tumor development and progression have not been investigated.In this study,we found that KIF2C expression was significantly upregulated in HCC,and that KIF2C up-regulation was associated with a poor prognosis.Utilizing both gain and loss of function assays,we showed that KIF2C promoted HCC cell proliferation,migration,invasion,and metastasis both in vitro and in vivo.Mechanistically,we identified TBC1D7 as a binding partner of KIF2C,and this interaction disrupts the formation of the TSC complex,resulting in the enhancement of mammalian target of rapamycin complexl(mTORCI)signal transduction.Additionally,we found that KIF2C is a direct target of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway,and acts as a key factor in mediating the crosstalk between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling.Thus,the results of our study establish a link between Wnt/β-catenin and mTORCI signaling,which highlights the potential of KIF2C as a therapeutic target for the treatment of HCC. | Shi Wei Miaomiao Dai Chi Zhang Kai Teng Fengwei Wang Hongbo Li Weipeng Sun Zihao Feng Tiebang Kang Xinyuan Guan Ruihua Xu Muyan Cai Dan Xie | 2021 | Protein & Cell2021,12,10: | 8 |

| 16 | Roles of microRNAs in immunopathogenesis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease revealed by integrated analysis of microRNA and mRNA expression profiles显示文摘BACKGROUND: The integrative analysis of microRNA and mRNA expression profiles can elucidate microRNA-targeted gene function. We used this technique to elucidate insights into the immunological pathology of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).METHODS: We analyzed differentially expressed microRNA and mRNA expression profiles of CD4^+ T lymphocytes from the liver and mesenteric lymph nodes(MLNs) of mice with NAFLD using microarrays and RNA sequencing. Normal mice were used as controls. The target genes of microRNAs were predicted by Target Scan. Integrative analysis showed that the mRNAs were overlapped with microRNAs. Furthermore, the Gene Ontology(GO) and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG) analyses were performed to predict the key genes and pathways. Then, 16 microRNAs and 10 mRNAs were validated by q RT-PCR.RESULTS: Microarray analysis suggested that 170 microRNAs were significantly de-regulated in CD4^+ T lymphocytes from the liver between the two groups. Eighty mR NAs corresponded with microRNA targeted genes. KEGG analysis indicated that the MAPK pathway was consistently augmented in the liver of NAFLD mice. miR-23 b, let-7e, miR-128 and miR-130 b possibly played significant parts in the MAPK pathways. Furthermore,between the two groups, 237 microRNAs were significantly deregulated in CD4^+ T lymphocytes from MLNs. 38 mRNAs coincided with microRNA target genes. | 18 | Experiments and Simulation of Thermal Behaviors of the Dual-drive Servo Feed System显示文摘The machine tool equipped with the dual-drive servo feed system could realize high feed speed as well as sharp precision. Currently, there is no report about the thermal behaviors of the dual-drive machine, and the current research of the thermal characteristics of machines mainly focuses on steady simulation. To explore the influence of thermal characterizations on the precision of a jib boring machine assembled dual-drive feed system, the thermal equilibrium tests and the research on thermal-mechanical transient behaviors are carried out. A laser interferometer, infrared thermography and a temperature-displacement acquisition system are applied to measure the temperature distribution and thermal deformation at different feed speeds. Subsequently, the finite element method(FEM) is used to analyze the transient thermal behaviors of the boring machine. The complex boundary conditions, such as heat sources and convective heat transfer coefficient, are calculated. Finally, transient variances in temperatures and deformations are compared with the measured values, and the errors between the measurement and the simulation of the temperature and the thermal error are 2 ℃ and 2.5 μm, respectively. The researching results demonstrate that the FEM model can predict the thermal error and temperature distribution very well under specified operating condition. Moreover, the uneven temperature gradient is due to the asynchronous dual-drive structure that results in thermal deformation. Additionally, the positioning accuracy decreases as the measured point became further away from the motor, and the thermal error and equilibrium period both increase with feed speeds.
