| 1 | Herbal decoctosome is a novel form of medicine显示文摘Traditionally, herbal medicine is consumed by drinking decoctions produced by boiling herbs with water. The functional components of the decoction are heat stable. Small RNAs(sRNAs) were reported as a new class of functional components in decoctions. However, the mechanisms by which sRNAs survive heat treatment of the decoction and enter cells are unclear.Previous studies showed that plant-derived exosome-like nanoparticles(ELNs), which we call botanosomes, could deliver therapeutic reagents in vivo. Here, we report that heat-stable decoctosomes(ELNs) from decoctions have more therapeutic effects than the decoctions in vitro and demonstrate therapeutic efficacy in vivo. Furthermore, sRNAs, such as HJT-sRNA-m7 and PGY-sRNA-6, in the decoctosome exhibit potent anti-fibrosis and anti-inflammatory effects, respectively. Decoctosome is comprised of lipids, chemical compounds, proteins, and s RNAs. A medical decoctosome mimic is called bencaosome. A single lipid sphinganine(d22:0) identified in the decoctosome was mixed and heated with the synthesized sRNAs to form the simplest bencaosome. This simple bencaosome structure was identified by critical micelle concentration(cmc) assay that sRNAs coassembled with sphinganine(d22:0) to form the lipid layers of vesicles. The heating process facilitates co-assembly of sRNAs and sphinganine(d22:0) until a steady state is reached. The artificially produced sphinganine-HJT-sRNA-m7 and sphinganinePGY-sRNA-6 bencaosomes could ameliorate bleomycin-induced lung fibrosis and poly(I:C)-induced lung inflammation, respectively, following oral administration in mice. | 4 | Use of catalytic wet air oxidation (CWAO) for pretreatment of high-salinity high-organic wastewater显示文摘Catalytic wet air oxidation(CWAO)coupled desalination technology provides a possibility for the effective and economic degradation of high salinity and high organic wastewater.Chloride widely occurs in natural and wastewaters,and its high content jeopardizes the efficacy of Advanced oxidation process(AOPs).Thus,a novel chlorine ion resistant catalyst Bsite Ru doped LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δin CWAO treatment of chlorine ion wastewater was examined.Especially,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-δ)was 45.5% better than that of the 6%RuO_(2)@TiO_(2)(commercial carrier)on total organic carbon(TOC)removal.Also,doped catalysts LaFe_(1-x)Ru_(x)O_(3-)δshowed better activity than supported catalysts RuO_(2)@LaFeO_(3) and RuO_(2)@TiO_(2) with the same Ru content.Moreover,LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δhas novel chlorine ion resistance no matter the concentration of Cl^(−) and no Ru dissolves after the reaction.X-ray diffraction(XRD)refinement,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),transmission electron microscope(TEM),and X-ray absorption fine structure(XAFS)measurements verified the structure of LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δ.Kinetic data and density functional theory(DFT)proved that Fe is the site of acetic acid oxidation and adsorption of chloride ions.The existence of Fe in LaFe_(0.85)Ru_(0.15)O_(3-)δcould adsorb chlorine ion(catalytic activity inhibitor),which can protect the Ru site and other active oxygen species to exert catalytic activity.This work is essential for the development of chloride-resistant catalyst in CWAO. | Wenjing Sun Hongxia Lv Lei Ma Xiangdong Tan Chengyu Jin Huiling Wu Lili Chen Mengyang Liu Huangzhao Wei Chenglin Sun | 2022 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2022,34,10: | 4 |

| 13 | Large-scale Patterning of Hydrophobic Silicon Nanostructure Arrays Fabricated by Dual Lithography and Deep Reactive Ion Etching显示文摘We describe a simple but efficient technique to fabricate large-scale arrays of highly ordered silicon nanostructures. By coupling dual lithography using light of 351.1 nm wavelength with deep reactive ion etching(DRIE), silicon nanostructures of excellent regularity and uniform coverage were achieved. The proposed nanofabrication method not only simplified the nanofabrication process but also produced highaspect-ratio(higher than 15) nanostructures. The scalloping problem was also controlled by regulating DRIE parameters. The process is rapid, cheap, examined to optimize the fabrication process, and has the potential to be scaled up to large areas. The contact angle of a water droplet atop the surface is larger than 150?.Moreover, by coupling black silicon process with DRIE-based microfabrication, three-dimensional nano/nano dual-scale structures which show robust and stable hydrophobicity have been achieved.
