1Temperature effect and thermal impact in lithium-ion batteries: A review显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries, with high energy density(up to 705 Wh/L) and power density(up to 10,000 W/L), exhibit high capacity and great working performance. As rechargeable batteries, lithium-ion batteries serve as power sources in various application systems. Temperature, as a critical factor, significantly impacts on the performance of lithium-ion batteries and also limits the application of lithium-ion batteries. Moreover, different temperature conditions result in different adverse effects. Accurate measurement of temperature inside lithiumion batteries and understanding the temperature effects are important for the proper battery management. 2Two Ultraviolet Radiation Datasets that Cover China显示文摘Ultraviolet(UV) radiation has significant effects on ecosystems, environments, and human health, as well as atmospheric processes and climate change. Two ultraviolet radiation datasets are described in this paper. One contains hourly observations of UV radiation measured at 40 Chinese Ecosystem Research Network stations from 2005 to 2015. CUV3 broadband radiometers were used to observe the UV radiation, with an accuracy of 5%, which meets the World Meteorology Organization's measurement standards. The extremum method was used to control the quality of the measured datasets. The other dataset contains daily cumulative UV radiation estimates that were calculated using an all-sky estimation model combined with a hybrid model. The reconstructed daily UV radiation data span from 1961 to 2014. The mean absolute bias error and root-mean-square error are smaller than 30% at most stations, and most of the mean bias error values are negative, which indicates underestimation of the UV radiation intensity. These datasets can improve our basic knowledge of the spatial and temporal variations in UV radiation. 3In-situ monitoring of dynamic behavior of catalyst materials and reaction intermediates in semiconductor catalytic processes显示文摘Semiconductor photocatalysis, as a key part of solar energy utilization, has far-reaching implications for industrial, agricultural, and commercial development. Lack of understanding of the catalyst evolution and the reaction mechanism is a critical obstacle for designing efficient and stable photocatalysts. This review summarizes the recent progress of in-situ exploring the dynamic behavior of catalyst materials and reaction intermediates. Semiconductor photocatalytic processes and two major classes of in-situ techniques that include microscopic imaging and spectroscopic characterization are presented. 5Flexible heat pipes with integrated bioinspired design显示文摘In this work we report the facile fabrication and performance evaluation of flexible heat pipes that have integrated bioinspired wick structures and flexible polyurethane polymer connector design between the copper condenser and evaporator. Inside the heat pipe, a bioinspired superhydrophilic strong-base-oxidized copper mesh with multi-scale micro/nano-structures was used as the wicking material and deionized water was selected as working fluid. Thermal resistances of the fabricated flexible heat pipes charged with different filling ratios were measured under thermal power inputs ranging from 2 W to 12 W while the device was bent at different angles. The fabricated heat pipes with a 30% filling ratio demonstrated a low thermal resistance less than 0.01 K/W. Compared with the vertically oriented straight heat pipes, bending from 30° up to 120° has negligible influence on the heat-transfer performance. Furthermore, repeated heating tests indicated that the fabricated flexible heat pipes have consistent and reliable heat-transfer performance, thus would have important applications for advanced thermal management in three dimensional and flexible electronic devices.Chao Yang Chengyi Song Wen Shang Peng Tao Tao Deng 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,1:1

7Fluoride-mediated nano-sized high-silica ZSM-5 as an ultrastable catalyst for methanol conversion to propylene显示文摘Fluoride mediated nano-sized ZSM-5(ZSM-5-F) with a high Si/Al ratio of 181 was fabricated using a seed-induction method and evaluated the catalysis of the methanol to propylene(MTP) reaction. High propylene selectivity(45%) was similar to ZSM-5-OH synthesized via a hydroxide route. However, ZSM-5-F showed much longer lifetime(305 h) compared with ZSM-5-OH(157 h) in spite of similar crystal size and aluminum content. 9Solar-driven high-temperature steam generation at ambient pressure显示文摘This paper demonstrates a facile solar steam generator for the generation of high-temperature steam at ambient pressure. The steam generator consists of a coiled copper tube(CCT) that serves as both solar collector and vapor heater. Both the inner and outer surfaces of the CCT are coated with black superhydrophobic copper oxide layer to improve the solar absorption, and such superhydrophobic layer prevents the condensation and clogging of water vapor during the heating process. Solar vapor is generated at the inlet of CCT through interfacial evaporation and subsequently heated inside the CCT as the vapor travels from the inlet to the outlet. By employing this approach, steam temperature that exceeds 100℃ under 1-sun illumination is demonstrated. Furthermore,steam temperature could reach as high as 250℃ under 10-sun illumination at ambient pressure. Successful sterilization experiment was also performed in this work to demonstrate the potential application of the high temperature steam generated. 11Ultralow Interfacial Thermal Resistance of Graphene Thermal Interface Materials with Surface Metal Liquefaction显示文摘Developing advanced thermal interface materials(TIMs)to bridge heat-generating chip and heat sink for constructing an efficient heat transfer interface is the key technology to solve the thermal management issue of high-power semiconductor devices.Based on the ultra-high basal-plane thermal conductivity,graphene is an ideal candidate for preparing high-performance TIMs,preferably to form a vertically aligned structure so that the basal-plane of graphene is consistent with the heat transfer direction of TIM.However,the actual interfacial heat transfer efficiency of currently reported vertically aligned graphene TIMs is far from satisfactory.In addition to the fact that the thermal conductivity of the vertically aligned TIMs can be further improved,another critical factor is the limited actual contact area leading to relatively high contact thermal resistance(20-30 K mm^(2) W^(−1))of the“solid-solid”mating interface formed by the vertical graphene and the rough chip/heat sink.To solve this common problem faced by vertically aligned graphene,in this work,we combined mechanical orientation and surface modification strategy to construct a three-tiered TIM composed of mainly vertically aligned graphene in the middle and micrometer-thick liquid metal as a cap layer on upper and lower surfaces.Based on rational graphene orientation regulation in the middle tier,the resultant graphene-based TIM exhibited an ultra-high thermal conductivity of 176 W m^(−1) K^(−1).Additionally,we demonstrated that the liquid metal cap layer in contact with the chip/heat sink forms a“liquid-solid”mating interface,significantly increasing the effective heat transfer area and giving a low contact thermal con-ductivity of 4-6 K mm^(2) W^(−1) under packaging conditions.This finding provides valuable guidance for the design of high-performance TIMs based on two-dimensional materials and improves the possibility of their practical application in electronic thermal management.Wen Dai Xing-Jie Ren Qingwei Yan Shengding Wang Mingyang Yang Le Lv Junfeng Ying Lu Chen Peidi Tao Liwen Sun Chen Xue Jinhong Yu Chengyi Song Kazuhito Nishimura Nan Jiang Cheng-Te Lin 2023Nano-Micro Letters2023,15,1:0
12Association Between the 313 bp Indel in Porcine POU1F1 Gene and Reproduction Traits显示文摘The study aims to analyze the distribution of the 313 bp indel(insertion/deletion termed as indel) in first intron of POU1F1 and it's association with reproduction traits in Sutai pigs by using the PCR-DSCP technique. The results showed that in this commercial pig population,the frequency of allele A was 0.6371,B was 0.3629;the genotype frequency of AA was 0.4516,AB was 0.3710,BB was 0.1774,and the χ2 test showed that the allele frequencies were in Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium. The SPSS GLM procedure was used to identify the association of the 313 bp indel with reproductive traits. In Sutai pigs,the pigs with AA genotype represented higher value in all reproduction traits,except for higher survival rate of piglets at weaning. Higher weaning weight was signifi cantly associated with AA genotype pigs and higher survival rate of piglets at weaning was signifi cantly associated with BB genotype(P<0.05) ,but no signif icant differences in other reproduction traits among genotypes were found(P>0.05) ;the P value of different traits affected by fi xed factors were not signif icant as well(P>0.05) . 13Transaldolase inhibits CD36 expression by modulating glutathione-p38 signaling,exerting protective effects against macrophage foam cell formation显示文摘In atherosclerosis,macrophage-derived foam cell formation is considered to be a hallmark of the pathological process;this occurs via the uptake of modified lipoproteins.In the present study,we aim to determine the role of transaldolase in foam cell formation and atherogenesis and reveal the mechanisms underlying its role.Bone marrow-derived macrophages(BMDMs)isolated from mice successfully form foam cells after treatment with oxidized low-density lipoprotein(80μg/mL).Elevated transaldolase levels in the foam cell model are assessed by quantitative polymerase chain reaction and western blot analysis.Transaldolase overexpression and knockdown in BMDMs are achieved via plasmid transfection and small interfering RNA technology,respectively.We find that transaldolase overexpression effectively attenuates,whereas transaldolase knockdown accelerates,macrophagederived foam cell formation through the inhibition or activation of cholesterol uptake mediated by the scavenger receptor cluster of differentiation 36(CD36)in a p38 mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)signaling-dependent manner.Transaldolase-mediated glutathione(GSH)homeostasis is identified as the upstream regulator of p38 MAPK-mediated CD36-dependent cholesterol uptake in BMDMs.Transaldolase upregulates GSH production,thereby suppressing p38 activity and reducing the CD36 level,ultimately preventing foam cell formation and atherosclerosis.Thus,our findings indicate that the transaldolase-GSH-p38-CD36 axis may represent a promising therapeutic target for atherosclerosis.Chengyi Li Zihao Song Pengyue Gao Wei Duan Xiu Liu Sijia Liang Quan Gong Jiawei Guo 2023Acta Biochimica et Biophysica Sinica2023,55,9:0
