The compositions, sources, and size distribution of the dust storm from China in spring of 2000 and its impact on the global environment显示文摘The average mass concentration of the aerosols in Beijing during the dust storm in the spring of 2000 was -6000 μg · m-3, -30 times as high as that in the non-dust storm days. The enrichment factors of the pollution elements As, Sb and Se were higher than those in the non-dust storm days. This indicated that As, Sb and Se resulted from the pollution sources of those areas, through which the dust storm passed during their long-range transport, in addition to the local pollution sources in Beijing. The enrichment factors of the Pb, Zn, Cd and Cu were much less than those in the non-dust storm days, suggesting that the local pollution sources in Beijing area contributed to them mostly. The enrichment factors of elements Al, Fe, Sc, Mn, Na, Ni, Cr, V and Co were close to 1, showing that these elements originated from crust. The concentration of S in the dust storm was -10 μg · m-3,4 times as high as that in non-dust storm. S in the aerosols resulted from the adsorption of gaseous SO2 and the consequent | Guoshun Zhuang Jinghua Guo Hui Yuan Chengyi Zhao | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,11: | 44
Robust quantum secure direct communication with a quantum one-time pad over a collective-noise channel显示文摘We present two robust quantum secure direct communication (QSDC) schemes with a quantum one-time pad over a collective-noise channel. Each logical qubit is made up of two physical qubits and it is invariant over a collective-noise channel. The two photons in each logical qubit can be produced with a practically entangled source, i.e., a parametric down-conversion source with a beta barium borate crystal and a pump pulse of ultraviolet light. The information is encoded on each logical qubit with two logical unitary operations, which will not destroy the antinoise feather of the quantum systems. The receiver Bob can read out the sender's message directly with two single-photon measurements on each logical qubit, instead of Bell-state measurements, which will make these protocols more convenient in a practical application. With current technology, our two robust QSDC schemes are feasible and may be optimal ones. | GU Bin ZHANG ChengYi CHENG GuoSheng HUANG YuGai | 2011 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2011,54,5: | 28
Temperature effect and thermal impact in lithium-ion batteries: A review显示文摘Lithium-ion batteries, with high energy density(up to 705 Wh/L) and power density(up to 10,000 W/L), exhibit high capacity and great working performance. As rechargeable batteries, lithium-ion batteries serve as power sources in various application systems. Temperature, as a critical factor, significantly impacts on the performance of lithium-ion batteries and also limits the application of lithium-ion batteries. Moreover, different temperature conditions result in different adverse effects. Accurate measurement of temperature inside lithiumion batteries and understanding the temperature effects are important for the proper battery management. In this review, we discuss the effects of temperature to lithium-ion batteries at both low and high temperature ranges. The current approaches in monitoring the internal temperature of lithium-ion batteries via both contact and contactless processes are also discussed in the review. | Shuai Ma Modi Jiang Peng Tao Chengyi Song Jianbo Wu Jun Wang Tao Deng Wen Shang | 2018 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2018,28,6: | 27
Antitumor effect of cytosine deaminase/5-fluorocytosine suicide gene therapy system mediated by Bifidobacterium infantis on melanoma显示文摘Aim: To construct a Bifidobacterium infantis/CD targeting gene therapy system and observe the antitumor effect of cytosine deaminase/5-fluorocytosine (CD/5-FC) suicide gene therapy system mediated by Bifidobacterium infantis on melanoma in vitro and in vivo. Methods: A recombinant CD/pGEX-1 LamdaT plasmid was transfected into Bifidobacterium infantis by electroporation. Bifidobacterium infantis transfected by recombinant CD/pGEX-1LamdaT plasmid was incubated with 5-FC anaerobically. Then the supernatant fluid was collected and added to melanoma B 16-F10 cells to observe the killing effect for B 16-F10 cells.Mice were inoculated with melanoma B 16-F10 cells to establish animal models. The mice were then injected with 5-FC and Bifidobacterium infantis transfected by recombinant CD/pGEX-1LamdaT plasmid. Results:Two segments of approximate 4.9kb and 1.3 kb were extracted from the 6.2 kb recombinant plasmid, which were equal to the size of the pGEX-1LamdaT plasmid and CD gene, respectively.Sequencing results showed that the full length and sequence of nucleotide acid of the inserted gene in extracted recombinant plasmid was completely identical to the CD gene. In vitro, B 16-F10 cells treated by supernatant fluid were remarkably damaged morphologically, and the cell growth was significantly inhibited. Experiments on the mice melanoma model showed that after treatment with a combination of transfected Bifidobacterium infantis and 5-FC, the tumor volume was significantly inhibited compared with controls. Conclusion: The foreign gene,CD gene, was correctly inserted into pGEX-1LambdaT plasmid and transferred into Bifidobacterium infantis. CD/5-FC suicide gene therapy system mediated by Bifidobacterium infantis demonstrated a good antitumor effect on melanoma in vitro and in vivo. | ChengYI YingHUANG Zhi-yingGUO Shu-renWANG | 2005 | Acta Pharmacologica Sinica2005,26,5: | 21
Effects of recombinant human growth hormone on rat septic shock with intraabdominal infection by E.coli显示文摘AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effects of recombinant human growth hormone (rhGH) on rat septic shock with intraabdominal infection by E. coli and its possible mechanism. METHODS: 76 SD rats were divided into 3 groups randomly:control group (group C, n=16) without any special treatnent,of E. coli(1×1010 cfu@ L-1,15 ml@kg-1, ip), treated group (group by rhGH injection (2.25 U@kg-1@d-1, im). Group S and group T were further divided into 1d and 3d subgroups, respectively (n=15 each). Mean arterial pressure (MAP), levels of plasma TNFα and endotoxin and leukocyte count were determined on 1st day and 3rd day after E. coli injection. Another 39 SD rats were divided into groups C, S and T (n=13 each) just for observing survival rate within 1 week.RESULTS: (1) On 1st and 3rd day, MAP in group S decreased markedly, and MAP on 1st day lowered more than that of 3rd day (P<0.01), while MAP in group T just decreased slightly. The survival rate within 1 week was much higher in group T (84.6 %) than in group S (46.2 %) (P<0.01). (2)On 1st day, plasma TNFα and endotoxin elevated significantly in group S and group T (P<0.05), and endotoxin in group S had more increase (P<0.01). On 3rd day, TNFα in group S returned to the level of group C (P>0.05),while TNFα in group T went down below the level of group C(P<0.01). On 3rd day, endotoxin in group S declined, but was still higher than that of group C (P<0.01), endotoxin in group T returned to the level of group C (P>0.05). (3) On 1st day, neutrophil ratio in total leukocyte count in both group S and group T increased significantly (P<0.05 vs group C).CONCLUSION: rhGH showed beneficial effects on rat septic shock. The possible mechanisms may involve the attenuation of bacteria/endotoxin translocation and decreased systemic endotoxin level; inhibition of the production and release of TNFα; improved circulatory function; improved systemic host defenses and maintenance of intestinal mucosa barrier. | YingHuang Shu-RenWang ChengYi Ming-YingYing YingLin Moao-HuiZh | 2002 | World Journal of Gastroenterology2002,8,6: | 18
Epidemic spreading behavior in local-world evolving networks显示文摘The susceptible-infected-susceptible(SIS)epidemic model is presented which can be used to study the epidemic spreading behavior in the local-world evolving network model.Local-world evolving model displays a transition from the exponential network to the scale-free network with respect to the connectivity distribution. From theoretical analyses and numerical simulations,we find that the epidemic spreading behavior on local-world networks also takes on some kind of transitional behaviors. The transitional behavior is further ver-ified by comparing the spreading behavior of local-world network with that of random and scale-free networks. Some feasible control strategies are also proposed to keep from the epidemic spreading on networks. | Chengyi Xia Zhongxin Liu Zengqiang Chen Shiwen Sun Zhuzhi Yuan | 2008 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2008,18,6: | 17

Sleep Deprivation Selectively Down-Regulates Astrocytic 5-HT2B Receptors and Triggers Depressive-Like Behaviors via Stimulating P2X7 Receptors in Mice显示文摘Chronic loss of sleep damages health and disturbs the quality of life.Long-lasting sleep deprivation(SD)as well as sleep abnormalities are substantial risk factors for major depressive disorder, although the underlying mechanisms are not clear. Here,we showed that chronic SD in mice promotes a gradual elevation of extracellular ATP,which activates astroglial P2X7 receptors(P2X7Rs).Activated P2X7Rs,in turn, selectively down-regulated the expression of 5-HT2B receptors(5-HT2BRs)in astrocytes.Stimulation of P2X7Rs induced by SD selectively suppressed the phosphorylation of AKT and FoxO3 a in astrocytes, but not in neurons. The overexpression of FoxO3a in astrocytes inhibited the expression of 5-HT2BRs.Down-regulation of 5-HT2BsRs instigated by SD suppressed the activation of STAT3 and relieved the inhibition of Ca2+-dependent phospholipase A2.This latter cascade promoted the release of arachidonic acid and prostaglandin E2.The depression-like behaviors induced by SD were alleviated in P2X7R-KO mice. Our study reveals the mechanism underlying chronic SD-induced depression-like behaviors and suggests 5-HT2BRs as a key target for exploring therapeutic strategies aimed at the depression evoked by sleep disorders. | Maosheng Xia Zexiong Li Shuai Li Shanshan Liang Xiaowei Li Beina Chen Manman Zhang Chengyi Dong Alexei Verkhratsky Dawei Guan Baoman Li | 2020 | Neuroscience Bulletin2020,36,11: | 10
Numerical simulations of land surface physical processes and land-atmosphere interactions over oasis-desert/Gobi region显示文摘A land-surface physical process model was coupled with a mesoscale atmospheric model. This cou- pled model was then used to simulate the interactions between land and the atmosphere, including surface temperature, net radiation, sensible heat flux and latent heat flux over a desert/Gobi with an oasis in northwestern semiarid regions in China. Comparisons between observations and simulations were made over the oasis and the desert/Gobi, respectively. Both cold island effect and wet island ef- fect, the so-called oasis effect, were observed and simulated. Lower temperature, higher specific hu- midity and weaker turbulent transfer were present over the oasis than the desert/Gobi. A subsidence occurred over the oasis, leading to a thermally-generated mesoscale circulation. | LIU ShuHua LIU HePing HU Yu ZHANG ChengYi LIANG FuMing WANG JianHua | 2007 | Science China Earth Sciences2007,50,2: | 9
Advanced Functional Fiber and Smart Textile显示文摘The research and applications of fiber materials are directly related to the daily life of social populace and the development of relevant revolutionary manufacturing industry. However, the conventional fibers and fiber products can no longer meet the requirements of automation and intellectualization in modern society,as well as people’s consumption needs in pursuit of smart,avant-grade,fashion and distinctiveness. The advanced fiber-shaped electronics with most desired designability and integration features have been explored and developed intensively during the last few years. The advanced fiber-based products such as wearable electronics and smart clothing can be employed as the second skin to enhance information exchange between humans and the external environment. In this review, the significant progress on flexible fiber-shaped multifunctional devices, including fiber-based energy harvesting devices, energy storage devices, chromatic devices, and actuators are discussed.Particularly, the fabrication procedures and application characteristics of multifunctional fiber devices such as fiber-shaped solar cells,lithium-ion batteries, actuators and electrochromic fibers are introduced in detail. Finally,we provide our perspectives on the challenges and future development of functional fiber-shaped devices. | Qiuwei Shi Jianqi Sun Chengyi Hou Yaogang Li Qinghong Zhang Hongzhi Wang | 2019 | Advanced Fiber Materials2019,1,1: | 7
Effect of groundwater depth on riparian plant diversity along riverside-desert gradients in the Tarim River显示文摘Aims Riparian plant diversity is sensitive to changes in groundwater in arid regions. However, little is known about how plant diversity responds to changes in environment along riverside-desert gradi-ents in riparian ecosystem. Our objectives were to(i)identify ri-parian plant diversity along riverside-desert gradients in Tarim desert riparian forests,(ii)analyze the impact of environment variables on plant diversity,(iii)determine the optimum groundwater depth for different plant life-forms.Methods Six transects 90 quadrats(with each size 100 m×100 m)distributed vertically to river bed along riverside-desert gradients~30 km in length were surveyed. At each quadrat, the morphological features of riparian plant communities were measured, and the groundwater depth, soil water, soil salinity, soil nutrient were also monitored at same sites.Important Finding Three distinct vegetation communities were identified based on cover and richness in the tree, shrub and herb layers:the riparian zone, the transitional zone and the desert margin zone.Twelve spe-cies were indicators of the three vegetation communities.Riparian plant diversity was influenced by groundwater depth, distance from river, soil moisture content, soil salinity and soil nutrient by redundancy analysis. In response to groundwater depth, the op-timal groundwater depths for species diversity, evenness and shrub cover were 2.8,2.7 and 3.7 m,respectively. Therefore, maintaining high plant diversity requires managers to ensure stable groundwater depth for different plant life-forms rather than for some of them. | Yong Zeng Chengyi Zhao Jun Li Yan Li Guanghui Lv Tong Liu | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,3: | 7
Isolation and identification of sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens显示文摘This study was aimed to isolate sinapine-degrading bacteria from the intestinal tract of laying hens and to identify the predominant bacteria. Thirty-week old healthy laying hens were killed, and the chyme in the digestive tract was inoculated into modified Czapek medium containing sinapin and cultivated at 37 ℃for 10 days. The optical density(OD) values of the bacterial solutions at different cultivating times were detected by a spectrophotometric method. The predominant strains were identified by 16 S rRNA gene analysis. We extracted the extracellular products of the predominant strains to determine the total protein using the Coomassie brilliant blue method, and to determine the activities of some extracellular enzymes using the agar plate diffusion method. Nine strains were isolated from the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. Among the 9 strains, 5 were from the ileum, 2 were from the ceca and 2 were from the jejunum. We could not isolate any strains from the upper intestinal tract, such as the stomach and duodenum. Eight of those 9 isolated strains were gram negative and one was gram positive. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were better than other strains in their abilities to degrade sinapine. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 were identified as Escherichia coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively, by the 16 S rRNA sequence analysis. The total protein level of the extracellular products was 1.213 g/L for YD-1 and 1.990 g/L for YD-2. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 had the activities of protease, amylase and urease. This study confirmed that the primary site of sinapine degradation is in the lower intestinal tract of laying hens. The sinapine-degrading strains are mainly gram negative. Strains YD-1 and YD-2 are predominant in degrading sinapine and they belong to E. coli and Klebsiella spp., respectively. Both extracellular products of YD-1 and YD-2 contain protease, amylase and urease. Strain YD-2 is better than strain YD-1 in its ability to degrade sinapine. | Dan Yu Xiaoli Huang Chengyi Zou Bin Li Jing Duan Qin Yin | 2016 | Animal Nutrition2016,,1: | 5

Online monitoring of gas-solid two-phase flow using projected CG method in ECT image reconstruction显示文摘Electrical capacitance tomography(ECT)is a promising technique for multi-phase flow measurement due to its high speed, low cost and non-intrusive sensing.Image reconstruction for ECT is an inverse problem of finding the permittivity distribution of an object by measuring the electrical capacitances between sets of electrodes placed around its periphery. The conjugate gradient(CG)method is a popular image reconstruction method for ECT,in spite of its low convergence rate.In this paper,an advanced version of the CG method, the projected CG method,is used for image reconstruction of an ECT system. The solution space is projected into the Krylov subspace and the inverse problem is solved by the CG method in a low-dimensional specific subspace. Both static and dynamic experiments were carried out for gas-solid two-phase flows. The flow regimes are identified using the reconstructed images obtained with the projected CG method. The results obtained indicate that the projected CG method improves the quality of reconstructed images and dramatically reduces computation time,as compared to the traditional sensitivity,Landweber, and CG methods.Furthermore, the projected CG method was also used to estimate the important parameters of the pneumatic conveying process, such as the volume concentration, flow velocity and mass flow rate of the solid phase. Therefore, the projected CG method is considered suitable for online gas-solid two-phase flow measurement. | Qi Wang Chengyi Yang Huaxiang Wang Ziqiang Cui Zhentao Gao | 2013 | Particuology2013,11,2: | 4
Competition between Populus euphratica and Tamarix ramosissima seedlings under simulated high groundwater availability显示文摘Desert riparian plants experience high variability in water availability due to hydrological fluctuations. How riparian plants can survive with low water availability has been well studied, however, little is known about the effects of high water availability on plant community structuring. We conducted a mesocosm experiment to test whether seedling competition under simulated high groundwater availability can explain the shift of co-dominance of Populus euphratica and Tamarix ramosissima in early communities to P. euphratica dominance in mature ones along the Tarim River in northwestern China. Seedlings of these two plant species were grown in monoculture and mixture pools with high groundwater availability. Results indicated that the above-ground biomass and relative yield of T. ramosissima were higher than those of P. euphratica. The competitive advantages of T. ramosissima included its rapid response in growth to groundwater enrichment and its water spender strategy, as evidenced by the increased leaf biomass proportion and the inert stomatal response to leaf-to-air vapor pressure deficit(VPD). In comparison, P. euphratica showed a conservative strategy in water use, with a sensitive response to leaf-to-air VPD. Result of the short-term competition was inconsistent with the long-term competition in fields, suggesting that competition exclusion is not the mechanism structuring the desert riparian plant communities. Thus, our research highlights the importance of mediation by environmental fluctuations(such as lessening competition induced by disturbance) in structuring plant communities along the Tarim riparian zones. | WU Guilin JIANG Shaowei LIU Weiyang ZHAO Chengyi LI Jun | 2016 | Journal of Arid Land2016,8,2: | 4
Ternary organic solar cells based on polymer donor, polymer acceptor and PCBM components显示文摘In this work, ternary organic solar cells(OSCs)combining a fullerene derivative PC71BM with a nonfullerene acceptor N2200-F blended with a polymer donor PM6 were reported.Compared with the binary systems, the highest power conversion efficiency(PCE)of 8.11%was achieved in ternary solar cells with 30 wt%N2200-F content, mainly due to the improved short-circuit current density(Jsc)and fill factor(FF).Further studies showed that the improved Jsc could attribute to the complementary abso rption of the two acceptors and the enhanced FF was originated from the higher hole mobility and the fine-tuned morphology in the ternary system. These results demonstrate that the combination of fullere ne and nonfullerene acceptors in ternary organic solar cells is a promising approach to achieve high-performance OSCs. | Feng Liu Cheng Li Junyu Li Chao Wang Chengyi Xiao Yonggang Wu Weiwei Li | 2020 | Chinese Chemical Letters2020,31,3: | 3
Cosmological evolution of quintessence with a sign-changing interaction in dark sector显示文摘Dark energy and dark matter are only indirectly measured though their gravitational effects. It is possibie that there is some direct,non-gravitational interaction between DE and DM,which can be used to solve(or,at least alleviate)several important theoretical problems. In the present work,by analysing the cosmological dynamical system with a dark-sector interaction which changes its sign during the cosmological evolution,we find a scaling attractor to help to alleviate the cosmic-coincidence problem. This result shows that this interaction can bring new features to the cosmology. | ZHANG Ming SUN ChengYi YANG ZhanYing YUE RuiHong | 2014 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2014,57,9: | 3

Regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution in China using a projection pursuit cluster model显示文摘A projection pursuit cluster(PPC) model was used to analyze the regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution in China. The environmental factors impacting the agricultural non-point source pollution were compiled into a projection index to set up the projection index function.A novel optimization algorithm called Free search(FS) was introduced to optimize the projection direction of the PPC model.By making the appropriate improvements as we explored the use of the algorithm,it became simpler, and developed better exploration abilities. Thus, the multi-factor problem was converted into a single-factor cluster, according to the projection, which successfully avoided subjective disturbance and produced objective results. The cluster results of the PPC model mirror the actual regional partitioning of the agricultural non-point source pollution in China, indicating that the PPC model is a powerful tool in multi-factor cluster analysis, and could be a new method for the regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution. | XinHu LI ChengYi ZHAO Bin WANG Garry FENG | 2011 | Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4: | 3
Light-driven artificial muscles based on electrospun microfiber yarns显示文摘Artificial muscles are widely potential in diverse fields including medical treatment, humanoid robotics and industrial automation. Soft materials due to bio-friendly interaction are suitable for those applications. Planar and fiber shape based artificial muscles that use the polymer as substrate materials can be triggered by various stimuli like electric, moisture and heat. Here, artificial muscles based on electrospun microfiber yarns are demonstrated, which can be remotely controlled. The carbon nanotubes embedded in polyurethane microfibers enable the yarns to efficiently absorb near-infrared light and radiate heat, which induces the fast temperature change that leads to the contraction/expansion motions along the axial direction. Microfiber mats are collected by a rotating cylinder that results in highly oriented alignment. The yarns from microfiber mats are highly twisted into the coiled structure, which generates maximum contractive actuation of 6.7% at 70°C. 1000 cycles were demonstrated without an obvious decline of actuating performances. The light-driven artificial muscles can be potentially applied in wireless control, bio-medical devices and so on. | MENG JunXing HOU ChengYi ZHANG QingHong LI YaoGang WANG HongZhi | 2019 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2019,62,6: | 3
