2In-situ trace element analyses of zircons from Dabieshan Huangzhen eclogite:Trace element characteristics of eclogite-facies metamorphic zircon显示文摘The internal structures of zircons in eclogite from Huangzhen have been studied by cathodoluminescence (CL) microscopy. Two growth stages were distinguished: protolith magmatic cores and metamorphic overgrowth rims. These different domains were analyzed for trace elements using LAM-ICP-MS. The protolith and the overgrowth zircons have different trace elements characteristics. The trace element contents of protolith zircons are high and very variable. The overgrowth zircons show a typical trace element feature of equilibrium with garnet, e.g. low contents of HREE (132.2-197.6μg/g) and small differential degree of HREE ((Yb/Gd)cN=8.6-11.9). The contents of Nb, Ta and the ratio of Nb/Ta are lower in the metamorphic domains (0.5-1.4μg/g, 0.7-1.5μg/g, 0.3-1.3, respectively) than in the protolith domains (3.8-19.7μg/g, 2.7-12.1μg/g, 1.0-4.6, respectively). 4Neuroprotective effects of bloodletting at Jing points combined with mild induced hypothermia in acute severe traumatic brain injury显示文摘Bloodletting at Jing points has been used to treat coma in traditional Chinese medicine. Mild induced hypothermia has also been shown to have neuroprotective effects. However, the therapeutic effects of bloodletting at Jing points and mild induced hypothermia alone are limited. Therefore, we investigated whether combined treatment might have clinical effectiveness for the treatment of acute severe traumatic brain injury. Using a rat model of traumatic brain injury, combined treatment substantially alleviated cerebral edema and bloodbrain barrier dysfunction. Furthermore, neurological function was ameliorated, and cellular necrosis and the inflammatory response were lessened. These findings suggest that the combined effects of bloodletting at Jing points(20 μL, twice a day, for 2 days) and mild induced hypothermia(6 hours) are better than their individual effects alone. 5Environmental risks for application of iron and steel slags in soils in China: A review显示文摘Iron and steel slags are smelting wastes, mainly including blast furnace slag(BFS) and steel slag(SS) produced in the iron and steel industry. Utilization of iron and steel slags as resources for solving the problem of slag disposals has attracted much attention with increasing iron and steel smelting slags in China. Because the iron and steel slags contain calcium(Ca), magnesium(Mg), phosphorus(P), and silicon(Si), some have tried to use them as Si-and P-fertilizers, for producing Ca-Mg-P fertilizers, or as soil amendments in agriculture. However, in the iron metallurgical process, several pollutants in iron ores can inevitably transfer into iron and steel slags, resulting in the enrichment of pollutants both in BFS(mainly nickel(Ni), copper(Cu), mercury, zinc(Zn),cadmium(Cd), chromium(Cr), arsenic, lead, selenium, fluorine(F), and chlorine(Cl)) and in SS(mainly Ni, Cr, Cd, Zn, Cu, F, and Cl), in which some of pollutants(especially Cr, Ni, F, and Cl) exceed the limits of environmental quality standards for soils and groundwater. The elements of manganese, barium,and vanadium in iron and steel slags are higher than the background values of soil environment. 7Key technologies and engineering practices for soft-rock protective seam mining显示文摘Severe gas disasters in deep mining areas are increasing,and traditional protective coal seam mining is facing significant challenges.This paper proposes an innovative technology using soft rock as the protective seam in the absence of an appropriate coal seam.Based on the geological engineering conditions of the new horizontal first mining area of Luling Coal Mine in Huaibei,China,the impacts of different mining parameters of the soft-rock protective seam on the pressure-relief effect of the protected coal seam were analyzed through numerical simulation.The unit stress of the protected coal seam,which was less than half of the primary rock stress,was used as the mining stress pressure-relief index.The optimized interlayer space was found to be 59 m for the first soft-rock working face,with a 2 m mining thickness and 105 m face length.The physicochemical characteristics of the orebody were analyzed,and a device selection framework for the soft-rock protective seam was developed.Optimal equipment for the working face was selected,including the fully-mechanized hydraulic support and coal cutter.A production technology that combined fully-mechanized and blasting-assisted soft-rock mining was developed.Engineering practices demonstrated that normal circulation operation can be achieved on the working face of the soft-rock protective seam,with an average advancement rate of 1.64 m/d.The maximum residual gas pressure and content,which were measured at the cut hole position of the protected coal seams(Nos.8 and 9),decreased to 0.35 MPa and 4.87 m^3/t,respectively.The results suggested that soft-rock protective seam mining can produce a significant gas-control effect.Xiang Cheng Guangming Zhao Yingming Li Xiangrui Meng Qingyi Tu 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,6:7

9Wetting behaviors and interfacial characteristics of molten Al_(x)CoCrCuFeNi high-entropy alloys on a WC substrate显示文摘The wettability of molten Al_(x)CoCrCuFeNi(x is from 0 to 1.5,mol.%)high-entropy alloys(HEA)on a WC substrate was measured using a modified sessile drop method at 1823 K in an argon atmosphere.The wetting behaviors and interfacial characteristics between HEAs and WC were studied.Good wettability with final equilibrium contact angles of 0.5°-4.6°is obtained,and addition of Al deteriorates the wettability of the HEAs.The wetting of Al_(x)CoCrCuFeNi/WC system can be roughly divided into an initially sharp spreading stage and a subsequent steady-state phase.In the first stage,the adsorption of Cr atoms at the solid-liquid interface primarily contributes to the wetting,and the contact angle drastically reduces.However,both the wetting behavior and interfacial microstructure are determined by the Al content of the HEA in the next stage.For x≤0.5,the wetting is mainly driven by the dissolution of WC,although a few reaction products of(W,Cr)_(2)C are observed.Moreover,an obvious dissolution pit appears at the surface of the substrate.When the Al content of x≥1,the interfacial reaction is dominant in competition with the dissolution of WC,and massive reaction products precipitate at the HEA/WC interface,which leads to the formation of a continuous reaction layer.Wenyan Luo Yunzhong Liu Cheng Tu 2021Journal of Materials Science & Technology2021,,19:7
10Strain hardening behavior of Mg-Y alloys after extrusion process显示文摘The strain hardening is an effective mode of enhancing mechanical properties in alloys.In this work,the strain hardening behaviors of Mg-xY(x=1,2,and 3 wt%)after extrusion process was investigated using uniaxial tensile tests.Results suggest that the Mg-xY alloys are composed ofα-Mg with a little amount of Mg24Y5 phase.The average grain size reduces from 19.8μm to 12.2μm as the Y content adds from 1 wt%to 2 wt%.Nevertheless,when Y content reaches 3 wt%,the grain size reaches to 12.9μm,which is close to that of Mg-2Y.The strain hardening rate decreases from 883 MPa to 798 MPa at(σ-σ0.2)=40 MPa,and Mg-2Y and Mg-3Y have the similar strain hardening response.Moreover,Mg-1Y shows an obvious ascending stage after the steep decreasing stage,which is mainly caused by the activation of twinning.The strain hardening behavior of Mg-xY is explained based on understanding the roles of the deformation mechanisms via deformation microstructure analysis and Visco-Plastic Self Consistent(VPSC)model.The variation of strain hardening characteristics with increasing Y content is related to the effects of grain size and texture.Chaoyue Zhao Ziyan Li Jiahui Shi Xianhua Chen Teng Tu Zhu Luo Renju Cheng Andrej Atrens Fusheng Pan 2019Journal of Magnesium and Alloys2019,7,4:6

13High-efficiency simultaneous extraction of rare earth elements and iron from NdFeB waste by oxalic acid leaching显示文摘Iron can not be recovered at high value because only rare earth elements are effectively recovered from NdFeB waste via oxidation roasting-hydrochloric acid leaching process.In this study,a new method for leaching NdFeB waste with oxalic acid was developed.The high-efficiency,simultaneous and high-value recovery of rare earth elements and iron was realized to simplify the process and improve the economic benefit.Results of the oxalic acid leaching experiments show that under the optimum leaching conditions at 90℃ for 6 h in the aqueous solution of oxalic acid(2 mol/L) with a liquid-solid ratio of60 mL/g,the iron leaching efficiency and precipitation rate of rare earth oxalate reach 93.89% and 93.17%,respectively.Rare earth oxalate and Fe(C_(2)O_(4))3^(3-) were left in the residue and the leaching solution,respectively.The leaching mechanism was further analyzed by characterising the leach residues obtained through X-ray powder diffraction(XRD) and scanning electron microscopy-energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(SEM-EDS).Results of the leaching kinetics study indicate that the process of oxalic acid leaching follows the shrinking nucleus model,and the leaching kinetics model is controlled by the mixed factors of diffusion and chemical reaction.The leaching residue was calcined at 850℃ for 3 h and then decomposed into rare earth oxide,which can be directly used to prepare rare earth alloy via molten salt electrolysis.For the leaching solution,ferric oxalate solution was reduced using Fe powder to prepare the ferrous oxalate(FeC_(2)O_(4)-2H_(2)O).Qingsheng Liu Tao Tu Hao Guo Huajin Cheng Xuezhong Wang 2021Journal of Rare Earths2021,39,3:4
14In vitro and in silico analysis of dual-function peptides derived from casein hydrolysate显示文摘There is no study on food-derived peptide with both anticoagulant and angiotensin I-converting enzyme inhibitory (ACEI) activities yet. In this work, the anticoagulant and ACEI activities of the casein hydrolysates released by pepsin digestion were evaluated for the first time to the best of our knowledge. Results indicated that the casein hydrolysate exhibited potent anticoagulant activity by prolonging the thrombin time (TT) and the activated partial thromboplastin time (APTT). Compared with control samples, at 10 mg/mL, the TT and APTT of casein hydrolysate were 186.0 % ± 6.6 % and 163.5 % ± 7.4 %, respectively. The casein hydrolysate also showed a strong ACEI activity with an IC50 value of 1.775 mg/mL. The components of the bioactive casein hydrolysate were analyzed by nanoscale liquid chromatography quadrupole time-of-flight tandem mass spectrometry (NanoLC-Q-TOF-MS/MS). Total of 115 peptides were identified, among which 34, 9, 55 and 17 peptides were derived from α_(s1-), α_(s2-), β-, and κ-casein, respectively. The results of PeptideRanker and PepSite 2 analysis showed that 6 peptides (FRQFYQL, NENLLRF, NPWDQVKR, PVVVPPFLQ, PVRGPFPIIV, and ARHPHPHLSF) have both ACEI and anticoagulant activities by binding to the active sites of ACE and thrombin. 15Breaking mechanism and control technology of sandstone straight roof in thin bedrock stope显示文摘The key problem to be solved urgently is how to avoid the occurrence of support break-off and water inrush in the stoping of sandstone straight roof under the action of load transfer in unconsolidated aquifer.For this reason,taking the thin bedrock 1602(3)working face of Huainan(the middle part of Anhui Province)Panyi Coal Mine as the engineering background,this study establishes the stope mining model by using the discrete element UDEC software and the mathematics mechanical model of the support load,and analyzes the reason of support crushing and decides to re-mining the working face by using the compulsive roof caving method.It is concluded that when the working face of sandstone straight roof is broken,the'voussoir beam'structure cannot be formed and acts on the support in the form of cantilever beam,but only when it falls to the high key stratum can the'voussoir beam'structure be formed and at this point,at this time,the bracket bears the weight of the rock layer in the range from the fractured sandstone layer to the lower critical layer.The working resistance of the support increases with the increase of the thickness and the breaking length of straight sandstone roof.When the breaking length of the roof reaches a certain extreme value,the support crushing accidents will occur.Managing roof with compulsive roof caving method can reduce the intensity of rock pressure in the stope,and the working face can be safely stoped,which provides a certain reference for similar conditions.Hualei Zhang Min Tu Hua Cheng Yongzhi Tang 2020International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2020,30,2:4
16Elastic modulus affects the growth and differentiation of neural stem cells显示文摘It remains poorly understood if carrier hardness, elastic modulus, and contact area affect neural stem cell growth and differentiation. Tensile tests show that the elastic moduli of Tiansu and SMI silicone membranes are lower than that of an ordinary dish, while the elastic modulus of SMI silicone membrane is lower than that of Tiansu silicone membrane. Neural stem cells from the cerebral cortex of embryonic day 16 Sprague-Dawley rats were seeded onto ordinary dishes as well as Tiansu silicone membrane and SMI silicone membrane. Light microscopy showed that neural stem cells on all three carriers show improved adherence. After 7 days of differentiation, neuron specific enolase, glial fibrillary acidic protein, and myelin basic protein expression was detected by immunofluorescence. Moreover, flow cytometry revealed a higher rate of neural stem cell differentiation into astrocytes on Tiansu and SMI silicone membranes than on the ordinary dish, which was also higher on the SMI than the Tiansu silicone membrane. These findings confirm that all three cell carrier types have good biocompatibility, while SMI and Tiansu silicone membranes exhibit good mechanical homogenization. Thus, elastic modulus affects neural stem cell differentiation into various nerve cells. 17Cancer-associated adipocyte-derived G-CSF promotes breast cancer malignancy via Stat3 signaling显示文摘Adipocyte is the most predominant cell type in the tumor microenvironment of breast cancer and plays a pivotal role in cancer progression,yet the underlying mechanisms and functional mediators remain elusive.We isolated primary preadipocytes from mammary fat pads of human breast cancer patients and generated mature adipocytes and cancer-associated adipocytes(CAAs)in vitro.The CAAs exhibited significantly different gene expression profiles as assessed by transcriptome sequencing.One of the highly expressed genes in CAAs is granulocyte colony-stimulating factor(G-CSF).Treatment with recombinant human G-CSF protein or stable expression of human G-CSF in triple-negative breast cancer(TNBC)cell lines enhanced epithelial–mesenchymal transition,migration,and invasion of cancer cells,by activating Stat3.Accordantly,targeting G-CSF/Stat3 signaling with G-CSF-neutralizing antibody,a chemical inhibitor,or siRNAs for Stat3 could all abrogate CAA-or G-CSF-induced migration and invasion of breast cancer cells.The pro-invasive genes MMP2 and MMP9 were identified as target genes of G-CSF in TNBC cells.Furthermore,in human breast cancer tissues,elevated G-CSF expression in adipocytes is well correlated with activated Stat3 signal in cancer cells.Together,our results suggest a novel strategy to intervene with invasive breast cancers by targeting CAA-derived G-CSF.Li Liu Yudong Wu Cheng Zhang Chong Zhou Yining Li Yi Zeng Chunbo Zhang Rong Li Daya Luo Lieliang Wang Long Zhang Shuo Tu Huan Deng Shiwen Luo Ye-Guang Chen Xiangyang Xiong Xiaohua Yan 2020Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2020,12,9:4
18Joint source-channel coded multidimensional modulation for variable-length codes显示文摘Resource-constrained networks such as deep space communications and mobile communications have the phenomena such us large-scale path loss,small-scale fading,and multipath effect,which are very hostile for information transmission.Combining Shannon’s source-channel coding theory with multidimensional modulation,an en/decoding method is proposed in this article called variable-length symbol-level joint sourcechannel and multidimensional modulation.Utilizing symbol-level source a priori information,an optimized symbol-level L-dimensional M-ary phase shift keying(LD-MPSK)constellation mapping function has been derived,which can increase free Euclidean distance between modulated symbols and enhance the decoding performance.It has been shown in the simulation results that the proposed scheme can achieve more than 2 dB signal-to-noise ratio gains compared with the conventional bit-level schemes under the condition of the same error rate.CHENG Chen TU GuoFang ZHANG Can 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,6:3
19Comparative assessment and analysis of Rortex vortex in swirling jets显示文摘Recently, a new definition, called Rortex, was proposed to quantify the purely rotational motion of fluids. In this work, based on the DNS data, the Rortex is used to assess and visualize the rotational motion and structure of the vortex in swirling jets in comparison with other kinds of vortex criteria, including Q , λ2,vorticity and Ω criteria. The Rortex vector,Ω, Q and criteria are found to be better than the vorticity criterion for the vortex core identification. The vector triangle formed by the Rortex R , the nonrotational shear S , and the vorticity R is analyzed to give mechanical explanations, especially of the effect of the non-rotational shear on the rotation of fluids. In addition, the probability density distributions (PDF) of the Rortex R , the nonrotational shear S, and the vorticity R are computed.
