1A complete sequence and comparative analysis of a SARS-associated virus(Isolate BJ01)显示文摘The genome sequence of the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS)-associated virus provides essential information for the identification of pathogen(s), exploration of etiology and evolution, interpretation of transmission and pathogenesis, development of diagnostics, prevention by future vaccination, and treatment by developing new drugs. We report the complete genome sequence and comparative analysis of an isolate (BJ01) of the coronavirus that has been recognized as a pathogen for SARS. The genome is 29725 nt in size and has 11 ORFs (Open Reading Frames). It is composed of a stable region encoding an RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (composed of 2 ORFs) and a variable region representing 4 CDSs (coding sequences) for viral structural genes (the S, E, M, N proteins) and 5 PUPs (putative uncharacterized proteins). Its gene order is identical to that of other known coronaviruses. The sequence alignment with all known RNA viruses places this virus as a member in the family of Coronaviridae. Thirty putative substitutions have been identified by comparative analysis of the 5 SARS- associated virus genome sequences in GenBank. Fifteen of them lead to possible amino acid changes (non-synonymous mutations) in the proteins. Three amino acid changes, with predicted alteration of physical and chemical features, have been detected in the S protein that is postulated to beinvolved in the immunoreactions between the virus and its host. Two amino acid changes have been detected in the Mprotein, which could be related to viral envelope formation. Phylogenetic analysis suggests the possibility of non-human origin of the SARS-associated viruses but provides noevidence that they are man-made. 3Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 4Prevention and control of coalfield fire technology:A case study in the Antaibao Open Pit Mine goaf burning area,China显示文摘It is very difficult to clearly detect the location of a burning area in a coal mine since it is hidden underground.So we conducted research on the distribution of the burning area before controlling it.Firstly,the original drilling technique was used to analyze and determine the loose and scope of caving of burning area through field test,and then obtained the gases and the temperature data in this area were according to the borehole data.By analyzing these data,we found out that the location of burning area concentrated in the loose and caving area;and finally,the location and development of the burning area within the tested area were accurately determined.Based on this theory,we used the ground penetrating radar(GPR) to find out the loose and caving scale in the burning area during the control process of the burning area,and then located the fire-extinguishing boreholes within target which we used to control burning fire in the section.A mobile comprehensive fire prevention and extinguishing system based on the three-phase foam fire prevention and control technique was then adopted and conducted in the burning area which took only 9 months to extinguish the 227,000 m 2 of burning area of 9# coal.This control technology and experience will provide a very important reference to the control of other coalfield fire and hillock fire in the future.Cao Kai Zhong Xiaoxing Wang Deming Shi Guoqing Wang Yanming Shao Zhenlu 2012International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2012,22,5:10
5Local icariin application enhanced periodontal tissue regeneration and relieved local inflammation in a minipig model of periodontitis显示文摘Periodontitis is an inflammatory autoimmune disease. Treatment should alleviate inflammation, regulate the immune reaction and promote periodontal tissue regeneration. Icariin is the main active ingredient of Epimedii Folium, and it is a promising compound for the enhancement of mesenchymal stem cell function, promotion of bone formation, inhibition of bone resorption, alleviation of inflammation and regulation of immunity. The study investigated the effect of icariin on periodontal tissue regeneration in a minipig model of periodontitis. The minipig model of periodontitis was established. Icariin was injected locally. The periodontal clinical assessment index, a computed tomography(CT) scan, histopathology and enzyme-linked immune sorbent assay(ELISA)were used to evaluate the effects of icariin. Quantitative analysis results 12 weeks post-injection demonstrated that probing depth,gingival recession, attachment loss and alveolar bone regeneration values were(3.72 ± 1.18) mm vs.(6.56 ± 1.47) mm,(1.67 ± 0.59)mm vs.(2.38 ± 0.61) mm,(5.56 ± 1.29) mm vs.(8.61 ± 1.72) mm, and(25.65 ± 5.13) mm3 vs.(9.48 ± 1.78) mm3 in the icariin group and0.9% NaCl group, respectively. The clinical assessment, CT scan, and histopathology results demonstrated significant enhancement of periodontal tissue regeneration in the icariin group compared to the 0.9% NaCl group. The ELISA results suggested that the concentration of interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β) in the icariin group was downregulated compared to the 0.9% NaCl group, which indicates that local injection of icariin relieved local inflammation in a minipig model of periodontitis. Local injection of icariin promoted periodontal tissue regeneration and exerted anti-inflammatory and immunomodulatory function. 6Prevention of surgical site infection under different ventilation systems in operating room environment显示文摘Biological particles in the operating room(OR)air environment can cause surgical site infections(SSIs).Various ventilation systems have been employed in ORs to ensure an ultraclean environment.However,the effect of different ventilation systems on the control of bacteria-carrying particles(BCPs)released from the surgical staff during surgery is unclear.In this study,the performance of four different ventilation systems(vertical laminar airflow ventilation(VLAF),horizontal laminar airflow ventilation(HLAP),differential vertical airflow ventilation(DVAF),and temperature-controlled airflow ventilation(TAF))used in an OR was evaluated and compared based on the spatial BCP concentration.The airflow field in the OR was solved by the Renormalization Group(RNG)k-e turbulence model,and the BCP phase was calculated by Lagrangian particle tracking(LPT)and the discrete random walk(DRW)model.It was found that the TAF system was the most effective ventilation system among the four ventilation systems for ensuring air cleanliness in the operating area.This study also indicated that air cleanliness in the operating area depended not only on the airflow rate of the ventilation system but also on the airflow distribution,which was greatly affected by obstacles such as surgical lamps and surgical staff.Zhijian Liu Haiyang Liu Hang Yin Rui Rong Guoqing Cao Qihong Deng 2021Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2021,15,3:5

9Enhanced Adsorption of Pb(II) Ions from Aqueous Solution by Persimmon Tannin-activated Carbon Composites显示文摘The modification of activated carbon with persimmon tannin and its application for the removal of Pb(II) ions were carried out by batch method. The effects of solution pH, contact time, temperature and initial concentration on the immobilization of persimmon tannin were studied. The experimental results showed that the experimental data of persimmon tannin and Pb(II) fitted better by Langmuir adsorption isotherm model and pseudo-second order model. The adsorption capacities of adsorbents for persimmon tannin and Pb(II) were calculated from the Langmuir isotherm model, and found to be 42.97 and 12.40 mg/g at optimum pH, respectively. It was noted that the adsorbent exhibited the best adsorption property for Pb(II) when 1.0 g activated carbon was modified by 17.32 mg persimmon tannin. 11Treatment of Enzymolysis Wastewater by Centrifugation- Coagulation- Fenton Reagent Oxidation- Adsorption Process显示文摘[Objective]The study aimed to discuss the optimal conditions for the treatment of enzymolysis wastewater by centrifugation-coagulation-Fenton reagent oxidation-adsorption process.[Method]According to the water-quality characteristics of wastewater from a heparin sodium production factory of Jiangsu Province,enzymolysis wastewater was segregated from intestinal lavage wastewater and treated through centrifugation-coagulation-Fenton reagent oxidation-adsorption process,and the optimal technical parameters were determined.[Result]After enzymolysis wastewater was centrifuged at a speed of 4 000 rpm,0.6 g/L CTS as the coagulant was added to the supernatant.Hereafter,pH of the coagulated effluent was adjusted to 3,and then 1.5%(V/V)H2O2was added to the coagulated effluent;a certain amount of ferrous sulfate(n H2O2∶n FeSO4·7H2O=8∶1)was added to the mixture;the reaction conducted for 30 min,and then solution pH was adjusted to about9.Finally,the oxidized effluent flowed through a resin red until the adsorptive capacity reached 240 BV,and COD of the effluent water was lower than 100 mg/L,meeting the Grade-I standard of Comprehensive Discharge Standard of Sewage(GB8978-1996).[Conclusion]The research could provide a new process for the treatment of enzymolysis wastewater.Jian Zhai Chunhua Jiang Guoqing Cao Xiuguo Lu 2013Meteorological and Environmental Research2013,4,9:3
12Treatment of Intestinal Lavage Wastewater by Coagulation-ASBR-SBR Process显示文摘[Objective]The study aimed to discuss the optimal conditions for the treatment of intestinal lavage wastewater by coagulation-ASBR-SBR process.[Method]According to the water-quality characteristics of wastewater from a heparin sodium production factory of Jiangsu Province,intestinal lavage wastewater was segregated from enzymolysis wastewater and treated using coagulation-ASBR-SBR process,and the effects of PFS dosage,HRT of ASBR and SBR reactor on the removal rate of COD and NH+4-N were analyzed.[Result]The best dosage of PFS was 0.15 g/L,and the optimal HRT of ASBR reactor was 36 h,while the best HRT of SBR reactor was 15 h.Under the optimal conditions above,the removal rate of COD and NH+4-N reached 99.1%and 97.3%respectively,and the quality of the effluent water could reach the first standard of Comprehensive Discharge Standard of Sewage(GB8978-1996).[Conclusion]The research could provide a new process for the treatment of intestinal lavage wastewater.Jian Zhai Chunhua Jiang Guoqing Cao Xiuguo Lu 2013Meteorological and Environmental Research2013,4,8:2

14Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 15Dust accumulated fungi in air-conditioning system:Findings based on field and laboratory experiments显示文摘This study analyzes the growth and reproduction of dust accumulated fungi(DAF)in an air-conditioning system based on field measurement and molecular biology,laboratory experiment and prediction modelling.The field measurement was conducted to collect dust in filter screen,surface cooler and air supply duct of two air handling units(AHUs).The results indicate that dust volume and fungal number in two AHUs generally met the hygienic specification of public buildings,but the cleansing did not fulfil requirements.High-throughput sequencing was conducted,revealing that the dominant fungal species were Alternaria_betae-kenyensis,Cladosporium_delicatulum,Aspergillus_sydowii,Verticillium_dahliae.Laboratory experiment was conducted to analyze the impact of several factors(e.g.growth time,temperature,relative humidity,duct material)and their combination on the DAF growth.The results indicate that fungal growth increased with time,peaking at 4 days or 5 days.Higher relative humidity or temperature was conducive to fungal growth.The orthogonal experiment revealed that the condition of“antibacterial composite,22±1℃and 45%-55%RH”had the strongest inhibiting impact on fungal growth.Logistic model,Gompertz model and square-root model were further developed to predict the fungal growth under different conditions.The results show that the Logistic model had high feasibility and accuracy,the Gompertz model was feasible with lower accuracy and the square-root model was feasible with high accuracy.Overall,this study facilitates the understanding of the DAF growth in air-conditioning ducts,which is important for real-time prediction and timely control of the fungal contamination.Zhijian Liu Yuzhu Deng Shengyuan Ma Bao-Jie He Guoqing Cao 2021Building Simulation2021,14,3:1

20The influence of air supply inlet location on the spatial-temporal distribution of bioaerosol in isolation ward under three mixed ventilation modes显示文摘The outbreak of COVID-19 and the spread of infectious pathogens through bioaerosols have once again aroused widespread concern worldwide.Isolation ward is an important place to prevent the spread of infectious bioaerosols.However,infection of health care workers(HCWs)in the isolation ward often occurs,so it is ur-gent to carry out relevant research to reduce the cross-infection between HCWs and patients.In this paper,the temporal and spatial distribution characteristics of bioaerosols under three mixed ventilation modes in a single ward were studied,namely,upper supply side return air of Case 1 and side supply and side return ventilation are Case 2 and Case 3 respectively.The results show that the removal efficiency of bioaerosol in the ventilation mode of Case 3,in which directional airflow is formed from the air supply inlet to the release source and then to the exhaust outlet,is 46.6%and 67.7%higher than that of Case 1 and Case 2,respectively.In addition,ventilation methods based on mixed theory do not guarantee good air quality in the breathing zone(1.3 m to 1.7 m)of HCWs,which may increase the inhalation risk for HCWs.It is hoped that our results can provide some useful suggestions for optimizing the airflow layout of the isolation ward,reducing the risk of cross-infection,and virus elimination.Zhijian Liu Tianci Wang Yongxin Wang Haiyang Liu Guoqing Cao Song Tang 2023Energy and Built Environment2023,4,4:1
