| 1 | Image acquisition system for agricultural context-aware computing显示文摘Context-aware computing is a new mode originated from ubiquitous computing.Its emergence brings a substantial change to traditional computing and related service.Image is a pervasive tool for context awareness.A large number of applications are developed based on images analysis.In this paper,an image acquisition system is presented for agricultural context-aware computing.The potential use of the system includes production evaluation,precise management and assistant control.The system includes four modules:the camera system,the control system,mechanism,and communication.The system can be easily installed in target crop fields.The camera system is composed of a binocular stereo camera and a color camera.Two cubic images and a corresponding texture image are collected for each plant in the process of data acquisition.An accessorial software system is developed to control and manage the capture system.Experiments show that the presented system is effective for image acquisition of agricultural context-aware computing. | Xiao Boxiang Wang Chuanyu Guo Xinyu Wu Sheng | 2014 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2014,7,4: | 2 |

| 3 | Effects of(Ti, W)C Addition on the Microstructure and Mechanical Properties of Ultrafine WC–Co Tool Materials Prepared by Spark Plasma Sintering显示文摘In this study, powder mixtures containing(Ti, W)C additions(10, 20, 30 and 40 wt%) were prepared and then consolidated at 1200, 1250, 1300 and 1350 °C by spark plasma sintering. The effect of(Ti, W)C additions on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ultrafine WC–Co materials was investigated. The results demonstrate that the(Ti, W)C not only retards the sintering densification but also increases the porosity of sintered samples. The increasing sintering temperature is beneficial to the densification but results in the grain coarsening and the dissolution of W in(Ti, W)C. Moreover, there are no(Ti, W)C grains with obvious core/rim structure in the microstructure. With the(Ti, W)C increasing from 10 to 20 wt%, the hardness increases and fracture toughness changes hardly. However, the hardness and fracture toughness decrease slightly as the(Ti, W)C further increases. The transgranular fracture of(Ti, W)C phases is responsible for the slight reduction in fracture toughness. | 4 | High-quality quasi-monochromatic near-field radiative heat transfer designed by adaptive hybrid Bayesian optimization显示文摘The increasing demand for versatile and high-quality near-field radiative heat transfer(NFRHT) has created a critical need for a design approach that can handle numerous candidate structures. In this work, we employ and develop an adaptive hybrid Bayesian optimization(AHBO) algorithm to design the high-quality quasi-monochromatic NFRHT. The candidate materials include hexagonal boron nitride, silicon carbide, and doped silicon. The high-quality quasi-monochromatic NFRHT is optimized over 1.0 × 10^(8) candidate structures to maximize the evaluation factor. It is worth noting that only 2.6% of the candidate structures needed to be calculated to identify the optimal structure. The optimal structure of quasi-monochromatic NFRHT is an aperiodic multilayer metamaterial that differs from conventional periodic multilayer structures. Moreover, we investigate the robustness and mechanisms of the optimal quasi-monochromatic NFRHT with respect to the vacuum gap distance and the temperature difference between the emitter and receiver. In addition, the high-quality multi-peak NFRHT is designed using the AHBO algorithm by improving the definition of the evaluation factor. | 6 | Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector.Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements,such as its low-energy threshold,high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors,and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors.In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable,assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition,approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected.This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter,which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle.Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better,depending on the central value,and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 7 | STATE:A Clustering Algorithm Focusing on Edges Instead of Centers显示文摘With the expansion of data scale and the increase in data complexity,it is particularly important to accurately identify clusters and efficiently save clustering results.To address this,we propose a novel clustering algorithm,Shape clustering based on data field(STATE),which can quickly identify clusters of arbitrary shapes and greatly reduce the storage space of clustering results in any datasets without reducing the accuracy.STATE mainly focuses on finding the edges of clusters and directions of edges instead of clustering centers through the data field.The results of STATE are presented as the edges of clusters without data objects inside clusters and without noise.Extensive experiments show that STATE can recognize complex data distribution in noisy environments without discrimination and greatly save the storage space of clustering results.When it is applied in a real-world scene,facial feature extraction,STATE can recognize eyes,nose,mouth,eyebrows and facial contours automatically without calibrating key features or training.Using the extracted facial features,we achieve facial recognition with high accuracy. | ZHAO Boxiang WANG Shuliang LIU Chuanlu | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2021,30,5: | 0 |

| 10 | Nucleolar GTPase Bms1 displaces Ttf1 from RFB-sites to balance progression of rDNA transcription and replication显示文摘18S,5.8S,and 28S ribosomal RNAs(rRNAs)are cotranscribed as a pre-ribosomal RNA(pre-rRNA)from the rDNA by RNA polymerase I whose activity is vigorous during the S-phase,leading to a conflict with rDNA replication.This conflict is resolved partly by replication-fork-barrier(RFB)-sites sequences located downstream of the rDNA and RFB-binding proteins such as Ttf1.However,how Ttf1 is displaced from RFB-sites to allow replication fork progression remains elusive.Here,we reported that loss-of-function of Bms1l,a nucleolar GTPase,upregulates rDNA transcription,causes replication-fork stall,and arrests cell cycle at the S-to-G2 transition;however,the G1-to-S transition is constitutively active characterized by persisting DNA synthesis.Concomitantly,ubf,tif-IA,and taf1b marking rDNA transcription,Chk2,Rad51,and p53 marking DNA-damage response,and Rpa2,PCNA,Fen1,and Ttf1 marking replication fork stall are all highly elevated in bms1l mutants.We found that Bms1 interacts with Ttf1 in addition to Rc1l.Finally,we identified RFB-sites for zebrafish Ttf1 through chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing and showed that Bms1 disassociates the Ttf1–RFB complex with its GTPase activity.We propose that Bms1 functions to balance rDNA transcription and replication at the S-phase through interaction with Rcl1 and Ttf1,respectively.TTF1 and Bms1 together might impose an S-phase checkpoint at the rDNA loci. | Yanqing Zhu Yong Wang Boxiang Tao Jinhua Han Hong Chen Qinfang Zhu Ling Huang Yinan He Jian Hong Yunqin Li Jun Chen Jun Huang Li Jan Lo Jinrong Peng | 2021 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2021,13,12: | 0 |
| 11 | Studies of detector cells for a hadronic calorimeter based on plastic scintillators显示文摘In this paper,we study variations of a plastic scintillator tile coupled to silicon photomultiplier via a dome-shaped cavity originally developed in the CALICE collaboration.Four kinds of plastic scintillator detector cells with different sizes based on the structure were studied for applications in analog readout highly granular hadronic calorimeter(AHCAL)in future circular electron positron collider(CEPC)project.The responses to cosmic rays of the detector cells could reach 33.89 p.e./MIPs(minimum ionizing particles).The good results of both response uniformity and MIP detection efficiency(above 95%)show that the detector cells with larger sizes(40×40×3 and 50×50×3 mm^(3))could provide an option for AHCAL detector cells of CEPC detectors. | Zhe Wu Dongmei Xia Zhigang Wang Hang Zhao Peng Hu Wei Hu Tao Hu Jiechen Jiang Boxiang Yu | 2018 | Radiation Detection Technology and Methods2018,2,1: | 0 |
