3Adaptive Tracking Control of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle显示文摘This paper presents the trajectory tracking control of an autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV). To cope with parametric uncertainties owing to the hydrodynamic effect, an adaptive control law is developed for the AUV to track the desired trajectory. This desired state-dependent regressor matrix-based controller provides consistent results under hydrodynamic parametric uncertainties.Stability of the developed controller is verified using the Lyapunov s direct method. 8Stability Analysis of an Underactuated Autonomous Underwater Vehicle Using Extended-Routh's Stability Method显示文摘In this paper, a new approach to stability analysis of nonlinear dynamics of an underactuated autonomous underwater vehicle(AUV) is presented. AUV is a highly nonlinear robotic system whose dynamic model includes coupled terms due to the hydrodynamic damping factors. It is difficult to analyze the stability of a nonlinear dynamical system through Routh's stability approach because it contains nonlinear dynamic parameters owing to hydrodynamic damping coefficients. It is also difficult to analyze the stability of AUVs using Lyapunov's criterion and LaSalle's invariance principle. In this paper, we proposed the extended-Routh's stability approach to verify the stability of such nonlinear dynamic systems. This extended-Routh's stability approach is much easier as compared to the other existing methods. 9A Study on Elite Mango Genotypes in Odisha—An Avenue for Crop Improvement显示文摘A study was carried out among the local mango types in Odisha to explore their genetic variations for further utilization in crop improvement, as the genetic diversity serves as a way for the population to adopt the changing edapho-climatic condition. From 17 districts of Odisha, a total of 548 seedling trees were observed, but only 30 mango elites were selected on the basis of organoleptic test for taste, flavor and aroma. Different physico-chemical characters, like fruit size, shape, colour, flavour, aroma and other characteristics, varied widely among these genotypes. The results of the study with respect to 30 numbers of local mango genotypes revealed that the maximum individual fruit weight (510 g) and pulp percentage (78.4%) was recorded in Kali. The other desirable traits of the minimum stone percentage (5.9%) and the maximum pulp to stone ratio (12.5:1) was observed in Nakei. The minimum peel percentage (10.0%) and the maximum total soluble solid (TSS) percentage (26%) was recorded in the fruits of Mitha and Lori, respectively. Attractive fruit skin colour was observed in the genotypes Nakei and Belua (yellowish), followed by Sundari (yellow with orange tinge) and Kadalia (greenish yellow). But in case of check mango cultivars Amrapali and Mallika, desirable traits, like the maximum TSS, pulp percentage, pulp to stone ratio and the minimum stone percentage was exhibited by Amrapali, whereas Mallika had the maximum fruit weight. 10Rapid metabolic fingerprinting with the aid of chemometric models to identify authenticity of natural medicines: Turmeric, Ocimum, and Withania somnifera study显示文摘Herbal medicines are popular natural medicines that have been used for decades.The use of alternative medicines continues to expand rapidly across the world.The World Health Organization suggests that quality assessment of natural medicines is essential for any therapeutic or health care applications,as their therapeutic potential varies between different geographic origins,plant species,and varieties.Classification of herbal medicines based on a limited number of secondary metabolites is not an ideal approach.Their quality should be considered based on a complete metabolic profile,as their pharmacological activity is not due to a few specific secondary metabolites but rather a larger group of bioactive compounds.A holistic and integrative approach using rapid and nondestructive analytical strategies for the screening of herbal medicines is required for robust characterization.In this study,a rapid and effective quality assessment system for geographical traceability,species,and variety-specific authenticity of the widely used natural medicines turmeric,Ocimum,and Withania somnifera was investigated using Fourier transform near-infrared(FT-NIR)spectroscopy-based metabolic fingerprinting.Four different geographical origins of turmeric,five different Ocimum species,and three different varieties of roots and leaves of Withania somnifera were studied with the aid of machine learning approaches.Extremely good discrimination(R^(2)>0.98,Q^(2)>0.97,and accuracy=1.0)with sensitivity and specificity of 100%was achieved using this metabolic fingerprinting strategy.Our study demonstrated that FT-NIR-based rapid metabolic fingerprinting can be used as a robust analytical method to authenticate several important medicinal herbs.Samreen Khan Abhishek Kumar Rai Anjali Singh Saudan Singh Basant Kumar Dubey Raj Kishori Lal Arvind Singh Negi Nicholas Birse Prabodh Kumar Trivedi Christopher T.Elliott Ratnasekhar Ch 2023Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2023,13,9:0
11Design of an Efficient Cooperative Spectrum for Intra-Hospital Cognitive Radio Network显示文摘This paper presents a new low delay centralized cooperative spectrum sensing method based on dynamic voting rule using multiple threshold level,for indoor hospital environment,where fading and direct path loss both are together responsible for variation in signal strength.In the proposed algorithm,weights of Cognitive Radios(CRs)in terms of assigned votecount are estimated based on the sensed energy values with respect to multiple fixed threshold levels,so that the direct path loss can be dealt without further increasing the error,which occurs due to fading.For indoor hospital like environment,Rician fading model is more appropriate.Therefore,formulation,evaluation and analysis of various sensing performance parameters have been carried out considering Rician fading model.Comparative analysis and tradeoff among three optimum parameters-energy threshold,total number of CRs participating in sensing and total error rate,are presented with respect to signal to noise ratio(SNR).Finally,the Monte Carlo simulation is designed and implemented considering the two conditions-only fading environment and fading along with direct path loss environment.It can be observed that in both cases,the proposed spectrum sensing rule outperforms the other contemporary rules.Abhinav Adarsh Basant Kumar Manoj Gupta Arun Kumar Aman Singh Mehedi Masud Fahad A.Alraddady 2021Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,10:0
12Knowledge and practice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among parents of under-five children with urinary catheter显示文摘Objectives:The objectives of this study were to assess the knowledge and practice skills on home-based urinary catheter care among parents of under-five children with urinary catheter.Materials and Methods:This cross-sectional study was conducted from June 1,2021,to September 11,2021,in a tertiary hospital in north India.Purposive sampling was used to select 50 participants.Three instruments were employed for data collection after fulfilling sample criteria;for baseline information demographic tool,knowledge questionnaires,and a practice checklist.Data were analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics.Results:On assessment of 50 participants,the majority of parents aged above 30 years(74%).Most of the participants were male(82%),graduated(38%),and working in the private sector(58%).Similarly,two-thirds of participants were residing in a nuclear family(64%)with a single child 32(64%)and family income<5000 rupees per month(60%).The mean score of knowledge was 1.94±0.81 and that of practice skills was 1.98±0.85 on home-based care.Regression analysis showed that knowledge of parents was significantly associated with qualification(β:1.821,P=0.002).Similarly,association of practice skills of parents with gender(β:1.235,P=0.050)and qualification(β:1.889,P=0.00)was significant.Conclusion:The general findings of our study showed that parents’education and occupation played a significant role in a child’s care.Parental education and catheter care skills positively affect the child and reduce readmission rates.Kurvatteppa HALEMANI Sanjay DHIRAAJ Basant KUMAR Saadhat HUSSAN Premalata Prerna PAWAN Priyanshi Raviraj GUPTA 2024Journal of Integrative Nursing2024,6,1:0
13Real Time Automation and Ratio Control Using PLC&SCADA in Industry 4.0显示文摘Industrial Control Systems(ICS)and SCADA(Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition)systems play a critical role in the management and regulation of critical infrastructure.SCADA systems brings us closer to the real-time application world.All process and equipment control capability is typically provided by a Distributed Control System(DCS)in industries such as power stations,agricultural systems,chemical and water treatment plants.Instead of control through DCS,this paper proposes a SCADA and PLC(Programmable Logic Controller)system to control the ratio control division and the assembly line division inside the chemical plant.A specific design and implementation method for development of SCADA/PLC based real time ratio control and automated assembly line system in a chemical plant is introduced.The assembly line division is further divided into sorting stage,filling stage and the auxiliary stage,which includes the capping unit,labelling unit and then the storage.In the ratio control division,we have defined the levels inside the mixer and ratio of the raw materials through human machine interface(HMI)panel.The ratio of raw materials is kept constant on the basis of flow rates of wild stream and manipulated stream.There is a flexibility in defining new levels and the ratios of the raw materials inside the mixer.But here we taken the predefined levels(low,medium,high)and ratios(3:4,2:1,2:5).Control valves are used for regulating the flow of the compositions.In the assembly line division,the containers are sorted on the basis of size and type of material used i.e.,big sized metallic containers and small sized non-metallic containers by inductive and capacitive proximity sensors.All the processes are facilitated with laser beam type or reflective type sensors on the conveyor system.Building a highly stable and dependable PLC/SCADA system instead of Distributed Control System is required to achieve automatic management and control of chemical industry processes to reduce waste manpower and physical resources,as well as to improve worker safety.Basant Tomar Narendra Kumar Mini Sreejeth 2023Computer Systems Science & Engineering2023,45,5:0
14Modelling the potential risk zone of Lantana camara invasion and response to climate change in eastern India显示文摘Background:The aim of this study is to elucidate the potential risk zones prone to the invasion of perennial ornamental plant Lantana camara,which is native to South America and has invasive tendency in Jharkhand,eastern India,for present(2020)and the future(2050)climatic conditions under four different Representative Concentration Pathways scenarios(RCPs).We analysed the current distribution pattern of L.camara in the plateau region of eastern India and identified potentially suitable habitats prone to its further infestation in the future under the climate change scenario.Results:Results showed the presence of L.camara invasion in~13%of the geographical area of Jharkhand,Cho-tanagpur plateau which may expand up to 20–26%by 2050 depending upon emission scenarios as characterised by the four RCPs.Analysis for the current scenario suggests the dominance of L.camara in sub-zone V(12.77%under high risk zones(HRZ)and 9.5%under critical risk zones(CRZ))followed by sub-zones IV(6.7%:HRZ;4.19%:CRZ)and VI(2.49%:HRZ;2.14%:CRZ).Future projection(2050)indicates a possible expansion of its distribution range across all agro-climatic sub-zones with dominance in sub-zones V and IV.Variable Bio_4(temperature seasonality)was observed as the most contributing factor for the distribution of L.camara for current and future scenarios across all RCPs.Suitable habitat for L.camara mostly occurred under natural vegetation(66.05%of CRZ and 60.71%of HRZ)and agriculture landscape(29.51%of CRZ and 34.48%of HRZ).Conclusions:The study provides an insight of invasion of L.camara in the plateau region of eastern India,and reveals wide distribution across all the agro-climatic sub-zones of Jharkhand,mostly in open and disturbed areas under natural vegetation and agriculture landscapes.Future projections for the year 2050 suggest a continuous increase in the expansion range of invasion across Jharkhand and call for urgent initiatives to combat its further invasion.Sharad Tiwari S.N.Mishra Dharmendra Kumar Basant Kumar S.N.Vaidya Brojo Gopal Ghosh Sk Mujibar Rahaman Masjuda Khatun Sanjoy Garai Amit Kumar 2022Ecological Processes2022,11,1:0
