1Phase II clinical trial using camrelizumab combined with apatinib and chemotherapy as the first-line treatment of advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma显示文摘Background:Effective therapeutic options are limited for patients with advanced esophageal squamous cell carcinoma(ESCC).The incorporation of an immune checkpoint inhibitor and a molecular anti-angiogenic agent into the commonly adopted chemotherapy may produce synergistic effects.Therefore,we aimed to investigate the efficacy and safety of camrelizumab plus apatinib combined with chemotherapy as the first-line treatment of advanced ESCC.Methods:In this single-arm prospective phase II trial,patients with unresectable locally advanced or recurrent/metastatic ESCC received camrelizumab 200 mg,liposomal paclitaxel 150 mg/m2,and nedaplatin 50 mg/m2 on day 1,and apatinib 250 mg on days 1-14.The treatments were repeated every 14 days for up to 9 cycles,followed by maintenance therapy with camrelizumab and apatinib.The primary endpoint was objective response rate(ORR)according to the Response Evaluation Criteria in Solid Tumors(version 1.1).Secondary endpoints included disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS),and safety.Results:We enrolled 30 patients between August 7,2018 and February 23,2019.The median follow-up was 24.98 months(95%confidence interval[CI]:23.05-26.16 months).The centrally assessed ORR was 80.0%(95%CI:61.4%-92.3%),with a median duration of response of 9.77 months(range:1.54 to 24.82+months).The DCR reached 96.7%(95%CI:82.8%-99.9%).The median PFS was 6.85 months(95%CI:4.46-14.20 months),and the median OS was 19.43 months(95%CI:9.93 months–not reached).The most common grade 3-4 treatmentrelated adverse events(AEs)were leukopenia(83.3%),neutropenia(60.0%),and increased aspartate aminotransferase level(26.7%).Treatment-related serious AEs included febrile neutropenia,leukopenia,and anorexia in one patient(3.3%),and single cases of increased blood bilirubin level(3.3%)and toxic epidermal necrolysis(3.3%).No treatment-related deaths occurred.Conclusions:Camrelizumab plus apatinib combined with liposomal paclitaxel and nedaplatin as first-line treatment demonstrated feasible anti-tumor activity and manageable safety in patients with advanced ESCC.Randomized trials to evaluate this new combination strategy are warranted.Trial registration:This trial was registered on July 27,2018,at ClinicalTrials.gov(identifier:NCT03603756).Bo Zhang Ling Qi Xi Wang Jianping Xu Yun Liu Lan Mu Xingyuan Wang Lidan Bai Jing Huang 2020Cancer Communications2020,40,12:38

3Sonographic appearance of anal cushions of hemorrhoids显示文摘AIM To evaluate the diagnostic value of different sonographic methods in hemorrhoids.METHODSForty-two healthy volunteers and sixty-two patients with gradesⅠ-Ⅳhemorrhoids received two different sonographic examinations from January 2013 to January2016 at the First and Second Hospitals of Xinjiang Medical University in a prospective way.We analyzed the ultrasonographic findings of these participants and evaluated the outcomes.Resected gradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoid tissues were pathologically examined.The concordance of ultrasonographic results with pathologyresults was assessed with the Cohen’s kappa coefficient.RESULTS All healthy volunteers and all patients had no particular complications related to sonography.There were no statistically significant differences between the participants regarding age(P=0.5919),gender(P=0.4183),and persistent symptoms(P>0.8692).All healthy control participants had nospecial findings.However,30 patients with hemorrhoids showed blood signals around the dentate line on ultrasonography.When gradesⅠandⅡhemorrhoids were analyzed,there were no significant differences between transrectal ultrasound(TRUS),transperianal ultrasound(TPUS),and transvaginal ultrasound(TVUS)(P>0.05).GradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoids revealed blood flow with different directions which could be observed as a'mosaic pattern'.In patients with gradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoids,the number of patients with'mosaic pattern'as revealed by TRUS,TPUS and TVUS was 22,12,and 4,respectively.Patients with gradesⅢandⅣdisease presented with a pathologically abnormal cushion which usually appeared as a'mosaic pattern'in TPUS and an arteriovenous fistula in pathology.Subepithelial vessels of resected gradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoid tissues were manifested by obvious structural impairment and retrograde and ruptured changes of internal elastic lamina.Some parts of the Trietz’s muscle showed hypertrophy and distortion.Arteriovenous fistulas and venous dilatation were obvious in the anal cushion of hemorhoidal tissues.After pathological results with arteriovenous fistulas were taken as the standard reference,we evaluated the compatibility between the two methods according to the Cohen’s kappa coefficiency calculation.The compatibility(Cohein kappa co-efficiency value)between'mosaic pattern'in the TPUS and arteriovenous fistula in pathology was very good(?=0.8939).When compared between different groups,TRUS presented the advantage that the mosaic pattern could be confirmed in more patients,especially for group A.There was a statistical difference when comparing group A with group B or C(P<0.05 for both).There were obvious statistical differences between group A and group B with regard to the vessel diameter and blood flow velocity measured by TRUS(P<0.05).CONCLUSION Patients with gradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoids present with a pathologically abnormal cushion which usually appears as a'mosaic pattern'in sonography,which is in accord with an arteriovenous fistula in pathology.There are clearly different hemorrhoid structures shown by sonography.'Mosaic pattern'may be a parameter for surgical indication of gradesⅢandⅣhemorrhoids.Adilijiang Aimaiti Ma Mu Ti Jiang A Ba Bai Ke Re Irshat Ibrahim Hui Chen Maimaitituerxun Tuerdi Mayinuer 2017World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,20:11
4Flavonoid content and radical scavenging activity in fruits of Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis) genotypes显示文摘The Chinese dwarf cherry(Cerasus humilis(Bge.) Sok.) is a small shrub with edible fruits. It is native to northern and western China. This species was included as a medicinal plant in the ‘‘Chinese Pharmacopeia'' and has emerged as an economically important crop for fresh fruit consumption, processing into juice and wine and nutraceutical products as well. To gain a better understanding of flavonoid biosynthesis and help develop value added products and better cultivars with greater health benefits, we analyzed total flavonoid content(TFC), composition, and radical scavenging activities in fruit extracts of 16 Chinese dwarf cherry genotypes. Fruit peel TFC ranged from 33.5 to72.8 mg/g REáFW(RE: rutin equivalent, FW: fresh weight)while fruit flesh TFC ranged from 4.3 to 16.9 mg/g REáFW.An HPLC analysis revealed that fruit extracts contained 14 flavonoids with considerable variation in their profiles across genotypes. The most abundant flavonoids in most genotypes were proanthocyanidin B1(PA-B1), proanthocyanidin B2(PA-B2), phloretin 20-O-glucoside(PG), and phloretin 20,40-O-diglucoside(PDG). Principal component analysis showed that PG, PA-B1, and PA-B2 had large,positive factor loading values in the first principal component for each genotype. Increased scavenging activity of2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DPPH) radicals was apparent in genotypes ‘Nongda 4', ‘Nongda 3', ‘Nongda 6',‘Wenfenli', and '10-32', suggesting promising applications in the production of nutraceutical products. 5Epidemiology of urticaria in China:a population-based study显示文摘Background:Urticaria is a common skin disease characterized by episodes of wheals,and it has a negative effect on patients’quality of life.Large-scale population-based epidemiological studies of urticaria are scarce in China.The aim of this survey was to determine the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria in the Chinese population.Methods:This survey was conducted in 35 cities from 31 provinces,autonomous regions,and municipalities of China.Two to three communities in each city were selected in this investigation.Participants completed questionnaires and received dermatological examinations.We analyzed the prevalence,clinical forms,and risk factors of urticaria.Results:In total,44,875 questionnaires were distributed and 41,041 valid questionnaires were collected(17,563 male and 23,478 female participants).The lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%,with 8.26%in female and 6.34%in male individuals(P<0.05).The point prevalence of urticaria was 0.75%,with 0.79%in female and 0.71%in male individuals(P<0.05).Concomitant angioedema was found in 6.16%of patients.Adults had a higher prevalence of urticaria than adolescents and children.Living in urban areas,exposure to pollutants,an anxious or depressed psychological status,a personal and family history of allergy,thyroid diseases,and Helicobacter pylori infection were associated with a higher prevalence of urticaria.Smoking was correlated with a reduced risk of urticaria.Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the lifetime prevalence of urticaria was 7.30%and the point prevalence was 0.75%in the Chinese population;women had a higher prevalence of urticaria than men.Various factors were correlated with urticaria.Jiaqing Li Dandan Mao Shuoshuo Liu Ping Liu Jing Tian Chenhong Xue Xiaojing Liu Ruiqun Qi Bingxue Bai Jianjun Nie Siqi Ye Yu Wang Yuye Li Qing Sun Juan Tao Shuping Guo Hong Fang Jianqin Wang Qiri Mu Quanzhong Liu Yan Ding Jianzhong Zhang 2022Chinese Medical Journal2022,,11:6
6Epigenetic modification in histone deacetylase deletion strain of Calcarisporium arbuscula leads to diverse diterpenoids显示文摘Epigenetic modifications have been proved to be a powerful way to activate silent gene clusters and lead to diverse secondary metabolites in fungi. Previously, inactivation of a histone H3 deacetylase in Calcarisporium arbuscula had led to pleiotropic activation and overexpression of more than 75% of the biosynthetic genes and isolation of ten compounds. Further investigation of the crude extract of C. arbuscula Δhda A strain resulted in the isolation of twelve new diterpenoids including three cassanes(1-3), one cleistanthane(4), six pimaranes(5-10), and two isopimaranes(11 and 12) along with two know cleistanthane analogues. Their structures were elucidated by extensive NMR spectroscopic data analysis. 7Extracting impervious surfaces from multi-source satellite imagery based on unified conceptual model by decision tree algorithm显示文摘Extraction of impervious surfaces is one of the necessary processes in urban change detection.This paper derived a unified conceptual model (UCM) from the vegetation-impervious surface-soil (VIS) model to make the extraction more effective and accurate.UCM uses the decision tree algorithm with indices of spectrum and texture,etc.In this model,we found both dependent and independent indices for multi-source satellite imagery according to their similarity and dissimilarity.The purpose of the indices is to remove the other land-use and land-cover types (e.g.,vegetation and soil) from the imagery,and delineate the impervious surfaces as the result.UCM has the same steps conducted by decision tree algorithm.The Landsat-5 TM image (30 m) and the Satellite Probatoire d’Observation de la Terre (SPOT-4) image (20 m) from Chaoyang District (Beijing) in 2007 were used in this paper.The results show that the overall accuracy in Landsat-5 TM image is 88%,while 86.75% in SPOT-4 image.It is an appropriate method to meet the demand of urban change detection.QIAO Yu,LIU HuiPing,BAI Mu,WANG XiaoDong & ZHOU XiaoLuo School of Geography,Beijing Normal University,Beijing 100875,China 2010Science China(Technological Sciences)2010,53,S1:4
8A rapid method for the determination of dopamine in porcine muscle by pre-column derivatization and HPLC with fluorescence detection显示文摘A rapid method has been developed based on the sample preparation procedure named as QuEChERS (Quick,Easy,Cheap,Effective,Rugged and Safe),combined with reversed-phase high performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detector and C 18 column after precolumn derivatization using o-phthalaldehyde and 2-mercaptoethanol to determine dopamine in porcine muscle.Methanol and deionized water (0.1% acetic acid,v/v) with a ratio of 60:40 was used as mobile phase.The flow rate was 0.8 mL/min and dopamine was eluted within 15min.The linearity range was 0.003-8 mg/mL with r 0.9992.The detection limit for dopamine was 4mg/kg and the quantification limit was 9mg/kg.Recovery studies were carried out at 0.1,0.5 and 1.0mg/kg fortification levels and the average recoveries obtained ranged from 90.4% to 98.2% with relative standard deviations between 3.5% and 8.1%.The method was found to be suitable for detection of dopamine in animal product tissues at the maximum residue level.Hong-Xia Zhao Hui Mu Yan-Hong Bai Hu Yu Ying-Mei Hu 2011Journal of Pharmaceutical Analysis2011,1,3:3

11Comparative study of metal oxides and phosphate modification with different mechanisms over g-C_(3)N_(4) for visible-light photocatalytic degradation of metribuzin显示文摘In this work,a comparative study of three frequently employed modification techniques to g-C_(3)N_(4)(CN)nanosheets for the photocatalytic degradation of metribuzin(MET)under visible-light irradiation has been carried out in detail.The modification methods were coupling TiO_(2)nanoparticles(TO)as electron acceptors,nano-sized Fe_(2)O_(3)(FO)to construct a Z-scheme nanocomposite,and phosphate(HP)modification to promote O_(2)adsorption.The steady-state and transient-state surface photovoltage spectra and transient photoluminescence(PL)spectra confirmed that all the three modification techniques enhanced the charge separation with prolonged lifetimes and presented degradation activities in the order of TO/CN[FO/CN[HP/CN.The TO/CN nanocomposite showed the highest photocatalytic activity for MET degradation,with a sixfold higher rate than bulk CN.Liquid chromatography–tandem mass spectrometry and radical trapping experiments indicated that the increased activity was related to the synergetic effect of two radicals(·O^(2-) and ·OH)involved in the photocatalytic degradation pathway,which was different from the·OH radical-dominated pathway of bulk CN.This work reveals the importance of charge separation and the influence of the radical pathway and provides guidance for the design of high-efficiency photocatalysts.Rui Yan Amir Zada Lei Sun Zhi-Jun Li Zhi-Yuan Mu Shuang-Ying Chen Fan Yang Jian-Hui Sun Lin-Lu Bai Yang Qu Li-Qiang Jing 2022Rare Metals2022,41,1:2
12Genomic Epidemiology of ST34 Monophasic Salmonella enterica Serovar Typhimurium from Clinical Patients from 2008 to 2017 in Henan,China显示文摘Salmonella enterica serovar 4,[5],12:i:-(S.4,[5],12:i:-)is a monophasic variant of Salmonella enterica serovar Typhimurium that has emerged as a global serovar causing public health concern.To date,the epidemiology and genomic characterization of this pathogen in China have not been well described.We investigated the prevalence,antimicrobial resistance(AMR)phenotypes,and population genomics of sequence type 34(ST34)S.4,[5],12:i:-among cases of human salmonellosis in Henan Province,China.A total of 100 ST34 S.4,[5],12:i:-isolates were studied from 2008 to 2017 and found mostly resistant to ampicillin(AMP),streptomycin(STR),sulfonamides(SUL),and tetracycline(TET)(ASSu T).Bayesian phylogenetic analysis demonstrated that isolates identified in China were mostly related to the European lineage and evolved into two major clades with different resistance genes and plasmid profiles.Notably,clade 1 showed a significantly higher rate of mutations in gyr A and plasmid-mediated quinolone resistance genes.The carrying of the resistance-containing region(encoding R-type ASSu T),including bla(conferring resistance to AMP),str AB(STR),sul2(SUL),and tet(B)(TET)inserted into the flj BA operon,was responsible for most of the monophasic variants in clade 2.Inc HI2 plasmids were the dominant multi-drug resistance mobile genetic elements accounting for the transmission of acquired resistance genes in this serovar,and these were more prevalent in clade 1.Our findings highlighted the increasing prevalence of multi-drug resistant S.4,[5],12:i:-in China,along with the differential characteristics of resistance gene acquisition among various lineages.Based on our data,control measures are required to address the spread of this zoonotic pathogen.Further owing to its potential origin in food-producing animals,a'One Health'approach,should be implemented to support surveillance whilst informing interventional strategies.Yujiao Mu Ruichao Li Pengcheng Du Pei Zhang Yan Li Shenghui Cui Séamus Fanning Li Bai 2022Engineering2022,8,8:2

15The Establishment of Double-Transgenic Mice that Co-Express the appA and MxA Genes Mediated by Type A Spermatogonia In vivo显示文摘Type A spermatogonial stem cells are the only immortal diploid cells in the postnatal animal that undergo self-renewal through the lifetime of an animal and transmit genes to subsequent generations. In this paper, the generation and characterization of double-transgenic mice co-expressing the Escherichia coliappA gene and human MxA gene generated via the in vivo transfection of type A spermatogonial cells were reported for the first time. The dicistronic expression vector pc DNA-app A-MxA(AMP) and ExGen500 transfection reagent were injected into the testicular tissue of 7-d-old male ICR mice. The mice that underwent testismediated gene transfer were mated with wild-type female mice, and the integration and expression of the foreign genes in the offspring were evaluated. Transgenic mice that co-expressedappA and MxA showed a gene integration rate of 8.89%(16/180).
