1Photocatalysts for degradation of dyes in industrial effluents:Opportunities and challenges显示文摘Discharging dye contaminants into water is a major concern around the world.Among a variety of methods to treat dye-contaminated water,photocatalytic degradation has gained attention as a tool for treating the colored water.Herein,we review the recent advancements in photocatalysis for dye degradation in industrial effluents by categorizing photocatalyst materials into three generations.First generation photocatalysts are composed of single-component materials (e.g.,TiO2,ZnO,and CdS),while second generation photocatalysts are composed of multiple components in a suspension (e.g.,WO3/NiWO4,BiOl/ZnTiOa,and C3N4/Ag3VO4).Photocatalysts immobilized on solid substrates are regarded as third generation materials (e.g.,FTO/WO3-ZnO,Steel/TiO2-WO3,and Glass/P-TiO2).Photocatalytic degradation mechanisms,factors affecting the dye degradation,and the lesser-debated uncertainties related to the photocatalysis are also discussed to offer better insights into environmental applications.Furthermore,quantum yields of different photocatalysts are calculated,and a performance evaluation method is proposed to compare photocatalyst systems for dye degradation.Finally,we discuss the present limitations of photocatalytic dye degradation for field applications and the future of the technology.Hassan Anwer Asad Mahmood Jechan Lee Ki-Hyun Kim Jae-Woo Park Alex C.K.Yip 2019Nano Research2019,12,5:21
2Circulating micro RNA, mi R-122 and mi R-221 signature in Egyptian patients with chronic hepatitis C related hepatocellular carcinoma显示文摘AIM: To explore the potential usefulness of serum miR-122 and miR-221 as non-invasive diagnostic markers of hepatitis C virus(HCV)-related hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).METHODS: This prospective study was conducted on 90 adult patients of both sex with HCV-related chronic liver disease and chronic hepatitis C related HCC. In addition to the 10 healthy control individuals, patients were stratified into; interferon-na?ve chronic hepatitis C(CH)(n = 30), post-hepatitis C compensated cirrhosis(LC)(n = 30) and treatment-naive HCC(n = 30). All patients and controls underwent full clinical assessment and laboratory investigations in addition to the evaluation of the level of serum miR NA expression by RT-PCR.RESULTS: There was a significant fold change in serum mi RNA expression in the different patient groups when compared to normal controls; mi R-122 showed significant fold increasing in both CH and HCC and significant fold decrease in LC. On the other hand, mi R-221 showed significant fold elevation in both CH and LC groups and significant fold decrease in HCC group(P = 0.01). Comparing fold changes in miR NAs in HCC group vs non HCC group(CH and Cirrhosis), there was non-significant fold elevation in miR-122(P = 0.21) and significant fold decreasing in miR-221 in HCC vs non-HCC(P = 0.03). ROC curve analysis for miR-221 yielded 87% sensitivity and 40% specificity for the differentiation of HCC patients from non-HCC at a cutoff 1.82. 5The past, current and future trends in DNA vaccine immunisations显示文摘This review focuses on DNA vaccines, denoting the last two decades since the early substantiation of preclinical protection was published in Science in 1993 by Ulmer et al. In spite of being safely administered and easily engineered and manufactured DNA vaccine, it holds the future prospects of immunization by inducing potent cellular immune responses against infectious and non-infectious diseases. It is well documented that injection of DNA plasmid encoding a desired gene of interest can result in the subsequent expression of its products and lead to the induction of an immune response within a host. This is pertinent to prophylactic and therapeutic vaccination approach when the peculiar gene produces a protective epitope from a pathogen. The recent studies demonstrated by a number of research centers showed that these immune responses evoke protective immunity against several infectious diseases and cancers, which provides adequate support for the use of this approach. 6几何增强的装配工艺本体建模显示文摘包含产品几何与非几何信息的产品装配要求是装配工艺设计的主要依据,对装配工艺设计决策结果具有决定性的影响。在装配工艺模型中描述产品的几何相关信息能够更好地表达如装配顺序,装配路径等内容,同时可以更好地辅助装配工艺决策,提高决策的自动化水平。提出一种几何增强的装配工艺本体模型,利用语义本体技术,建立产品几何信息在装配工艺中的描述方法,数据结构与关系描述。并以该模型为基础,建立基于几何增强装配工艺本体的装配工艺决策框架。该框架分为两部分:一是采用几何增强的装配工艺本体模型描述产品几何信息和装配工艺信息的数据结构和相互关系;二是为了让几何信息与装配工艺信息之间存在的丰富的隐含关系显性化,对语义本体推理机制进行增强,提出推理单元的概念,使决策框架具有从产品几何信息中推理装配工艺相关信息的能力,有效地支持装配工艺决策。以针对某传动器产品装配顺序决策的过程,验证所提出的几何增强装配工艺本体模型与框架的有效性。乔立红 朱怡心 ANWER Nabil 2015机械工程学报2015,51,22:6

9鼓形与圆柱形杆齿式纵轴流脱粒滚筒功耗对比试验显示文摘为降低功耗,同时减少脱粒滚筒堵塞,提高水稻联合收获机收获效率,设计了一种鼓形杆齿式纵轴流脱粒滚筒,并对其功耗进行了仿真与试验研究。以具有相同外部尺寸的圆柱形杆齿式纵轴流脱粒滚筒为对照,以脱粒滚筒旋转轴总力矩为试验指标,进行了基于离散元法的对比试验,结果显示:相同喂入量下,2种结构的脱粒滚筒旋转轴总力矩存在明显差异,鼓形滚筒旋转轴总力矩小于圆柱形滚筒,且随喂入量增大,差异越大。与仿真条件一致的2种脱粒滚筒结构功耗对比台架试验结果表明,在喂入量为0.8~1.6 kg/s时,随喂入量增加,滚筒功耗增大,与相同外部尺寸的圆柱形滚筒相比,鼓形结构的脱粒滚筒功耗平均降低5%~15%。谢干 张国忠 付建伟 周勇 王洋 高原 王伟康 Mohamed Anwer 2021华中农业大学学报2021,40,1:5

11PSC-Net:learning part spatial co-occurrence for occluded pedestrian detection显示文摘Detecting pedestrians,especially under heavy occlusion,is a challenging computer vision problem with numerous real-world applications.This paper introduces a novel approach,termed as PSC-Net,for occluded pedestrian detection.The proposed PSC-Net contains a dedicated module that is designed to explicitly capture both inter and intra-part co-occurrence information of different pedestrian body parts through a graph convolutional network(GCN).Both inter and intra-part co-occurrence information contribute towards improving the feature representation for handling varying level of occlusions,ranging from partial to severe occlusions.Our PSC-Net exploits the topological structure of pedestrian and does not require part-based annotations or additional visible bounding-box(VBB)information to learn part spatial co-occurrence.Comprehensive experiments are performed on three challenging datasets:CityPersons,Caltech,and CrowdHuman datasets.Particularly,in terms of log-average miss rates and with the same backbone and input scale as those of the state-of-the-art MGAN,the proposed PSC-Net achieves absolute gains of 4.0%and 3.4%over MGAN on the heavy occlusion subsets of CityPersons and Caltech test sets,respectively.Jin XIE Yanwei PANG Hisham CHOLAKKAL Rao ANWER Fahad KHAN Ling SHAO 2021Science China(Information Sciences)2021,64,2:4

16In silico Proteome-wide Amino aCid and Elemental Composition (PACE) Analysis of Expression Proteomics Data Provides A Fingerprint of Dominant Metabolic Processes显示文摘Proteome-wide Amino aCid and Elemental composition(PACE) analysis is a novel and informative way of interrogating the proteome.The PACE approach consists of in silico decomposition of proteins detected and quantifed in a proteomics experiment into 20 amino acids and fve elements(C,H,N,O and S),with protein abundances converted to relative abundances of amino acids and elements.The method is robust and very sensitive;it provides statistically reliable differentiation between very similar proteomes.In addition,PACE provides novel insights into proteome-wide metabolic processes,occurring,e.g.,during cell starvation.For instance,both Escherichia coli and Synechocystis down-regulate sulfur-rich proteins upon sulfur deprivation,but E.coli preferentially down-regulates cysteine-rich proteins while Synechocystis mainly downregulates methionine-rich proteins.Due to its relative simplicity,flexibility,generality and wide applicability,PACE analysis has the potential of becoming a standard analytical tool in proteomics.David M. 19Evaluation of anti-resistant activity of Auklandia(Saussurea lappa) root against some human pathogens显示文摘Objective:The antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract of the Auklandia(Saussurea lappa)root plant was investigated to verify its medicinal use in the treatment of microbial infections.Methods:The antimicrobial activity of the ethanol extract was tested against clinical isolates ofsome multidrug-resistant bacteria using the agar well diffusion method.Commercial antibioticswere used as positive reference standards to determine the sensitivity of the clinical isolates.Results:The extracts showed significant inhibitory activity against clinical isolates of methicillinresistantStaphylococcus aureus,Pseudomonas aeruginosa,Escherichia coli,Klebsiella pneumonia,Extended Spectrum Beta-Lactemase,Acinetobacter baumannii.The minimum inhibitory concentration values obtained using the agar dilution test ranged from 2.0μg/μL-12.0μg/μL.In the contrary the water extract showed no activity at all against the tested isolates.Furthermore,theresults obtained by examining anti-resistant activity of the plant ethanolic extract showed thatat higher concentration of the plant extract(12μg)all tested bacteria isolates were inhibited with variable inhibition zones similar to those obtained when we applied lower extract concentrationusing the well diffusion assay.Conclusion:The results demonstrated that the crude ethanolicextract of the Auklandia(Saussurea lappa)root plant has a wide spectrum of activity suggestingthat it may be useful in the treatment of infections caused by the above clinical isolates(humanpathogens).Sidgi Syed Anwer Hasson Mohammed Saeed Al-Balushi KhazinaAlharthy JumaZaidAl-Busaidi MunaSulimanAldaihani Mohammed Shafeeq Othman Elias Antony Said Omar Habal Talal Abdullah Sallam Ali Abdullah Aljabri Mohamed AhmedIdris 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,7:2
20基于薄膜传感器的横轴流脱粒滚筒实时喂入量测量系统设计显示文摘为实现水稻联合收割机脱粒滚筒实时喂入量监测,基于薄膜传感器设计了一种脱粒滚筒喂入量测量系统,其原理为通过薄膜传感器测出滚筒顶盖侧边因喂入量变化而产生的受力变化。以额定喂入量为0.8 kg/s的小型横轴流脱粒滚筒为试验对象,以成熟的晚籼98和传奇丰两优1号水稻为主要试验材料,在转速分别为650、800、950、1100 r/min、喂入量为0.2~0.8 kg/s的条件下开展台架试验,结果显示:薄膜传感器采集的实时信号与实时喂入量显著相关,对喂入量和传感器信号进行线性关系拟合,拟合效果较好。试验结果表明,设计的测量系统可以通过传感器信号对喂入量进行测量。赵胜华 张国忠 张仕杰 付建伟 谢干 MOHAMED Anwer 2020华中农业大学学报2020,39,2:2
