1Optimizing submerged arc welding using response surface methodology, regression analysis, and genetic algorithm显示文摘The weld quality is significantly affected by the weld parameters(arc voltage, welding current, nozzle to plate distance and welding speed) in the submerged arc welding(SAW). Bead-on-plate welds were performed on stainless steel plates by automated SAW machine. The experimental data were collected in accordance with the response surface methodology(RSM). In addition to RSM, the regression analysis was performed to set up inputeoutput relationships in the SAW process. It was found that weld parameters define the geometry of weld bead and determine the mechanical properties of the joint. The influence of the input variables on weld bead geometry is represented as graphs. It was found that an increment in voltage increases the bead width but decreases the bead height, whereas the current increment result-in an increment in bead height and no change in bead width. The bead width and height decrease with the increment in the welding speed. With an increment in the nozzle-to-plate distance, bead width decrease, but bead height increases. The value of bead hardness increases with the increment in current but the increment in voltage and travel speed does not have a significant influence on the bead hardness. The predictions from the mathematical model developed and the corresponding experimental results are having a fair agreement. Further, the genetic algorithm(GA) is also used for predicting the weld bead geometry.Ajitanshu Vedrtnam Gyanendra Singh Ankit Kumar 2018Defence Technology(防务技术)2018,14,3:7

9Mix design, development, production and policies of recycled hot mix asphalt:A review显示文摘Worldwide, flexible pavements are the paramount type of pavements. These national assets can be recycled to serve the next design life without the need to dispose of them in landfill. The old/distressed,flexible pavement material is called, reclaimed asphalt pavement(RAP)material. In view of the sustainable development practice,100%RAP should be recycled. However, the practical range of RAP incorporation in a drum mix plant ranges from 10%to 50%whereas in a batch mix plant,it is 10%-35%.In a batch mix plant, incorporation of the hot dried RAP(instead of cold RAP feeding)can increase the RAP incorporation level by 20%.Studies recommended that the rejuvenator should be added over the RAP material instead adding with the base binder. The addition of rejuvenator on the RAP conveyor belt(to the pug mill),provided sufficient time for rejuvenating the aged binder coating over RAP aggregates.Further,a thorough knowledge of the mix design process of recycled hot mix asphalt(RAP-HMA)is essential to produce a durable mix.For high RAP content(>20%),the RAP binder properties are important for the mix design process. However, very limited studies discussed(in detail)the recovery process of the RAP binder. The review article through light on the binder recovery process, method of RAP gradation, specific gravity determination for RAP material, minimum desirable properties of the RAP material etc. This review paper also provides a narrative review of the historical development of RAP-HMA technology, technical aspects related to the procurement of RAP material, mix design and production of the recycled mix. Moreover, the international&national policies/laws for construction and demolition waste are discussed.Ankit Sharma Gondaimei Ransinchung Rongmei Naga Praveen Kumar Priti Rai 2022Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2022,9,5:1

13Stability and Bifurcation of a Prey-Predator System with Additional Food and Two Discrete Delays显示文摘In this paper, the impact of additional food and two discrete delays on the dynamics of a prey-predator model is investigated. The interaction between prey and predator is considered as Holling Type-II functional response. The additional food is provided to the predator to reduce its dependency on the prey. One delay is the gestation delay in predator while the other delay is the delay in supplying the additional food to predators. The positivity, boundedness and persistence of the solutions of the system are studied to show the system as biologically well-behaved.The existence of steady states, their local and global asymptotic behavior for the non-delayed system are investigated. It is shown that(i)predator’s dependency factor on additional food induces a periodic solution in the system, and(ii)the two delays considered in the system are capable to change the status of the stability behavior of the system. The existence of periodic solutions via Hopf-bifurcation is shown with respect to both the delays. Our analysis shows that both delay parameters play an important role in governing the dynamics of the system. The direction and stability of Hopf-bifurcation are also investigated through the normal form theory and the center manifold theorem.Numerical experiments are also conducted to validate the theoretical results.Ankit Kumar Balram Dubey 2021Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2021,,2:0
14Performance analysis of STT-RAM with cross shaped free layer using Heusler alloys显示文摘We have investigated the performance of a spin transfer torque random access memory(STT-RAM)cell with a cross shaped Heusler compound based free layer using micromagnetic simulations. We have designed a free layer using a Cobalt based Heusler compound. Simulation results clearly show that the switching time from one state to the other state has been reduced, also it has been found that the critical switching current density(to switch the magnetization of the free layer of the STT RAM cell) is reduced.Tangudu Bharat Kumar Bahniman Ghosh Bhaskar Awadhiya Ankit Kumar Verma 2016Journal of Semiconductors2016,37,1:0
15Fabrication and Characterization of Banana Pseudostem Fibre Reinforced Epoxy Hybrid Composite Using Al_(2)O_(3) as Filler显示文摘Natural fibre-reinforced composites are now becoming incredibly common in various products because of their comparable qualities to conventional materials.Due to its availability, superior mechanical qualities, and low cost, banana pseudostem is extensively used in various applications requiring natural fibres. This study investigates the physical and mechanical properties of epoxy composites reinforced with banana pseudostem fibres that contain Al_(2)O_(3) particulate. In order to produce composites with fibre and filler loadings, manual hand layup was used.Fibre and filler loading effects on composite properties were studied in experiments. The results of the investigations demonstrate that proportion of Al_(2)O_(3) in composites significantly influences their mechanical and physical properties.Additionally, the composite with a fibre content of 30%shows improved mechanical proportions and hardness.Thermogravimetric analysis was used to study the composite's thermal behaviour.Composites are more thermally stable than raw epoxy.Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy and Scanning electron microscopy analyses were used to characterize the composites.Ankit Samal Sanjeev Kumar Manish Bhargava Barnik Saha Roy 2023Journal of Bionic Engineering2023,20,4:0
16Grid Tied Solar PV System with Power Quality Enhancement Using Adaptive Generalized Maximum Versoria Criterion显示文摘A three phase grid tied solar photovoltaic(PV)system with power quality compensation features is presented in this paper. This system is used to transfer power generated from a solar PV array to feed linear and nonlinear loads along with compensation for several power quality(PQ)issues, such as harmonics, redundant reactive power and load unbalancing. The generated DC power from the PV array is converted into AC by implementing a three-phase voltage source converter(VSC).In order to transfer active power and mitigate PQ problems,an efficient control technique is required for the grid tied solar PV system. This study presents the use of an adaptive generalized maximum Versoria criterion(AGMVC)controller for VSC used in a solar PV energy conversion system.Efficient utilization of the solar PV array is accomplished by using the Perturb and Observe based maximum power point tracking(MPPT)algorithm. The experimental setup of the grid integrated PV system is implemented in the laboratory using an IGBT based VSC and DSP(dSPACE DS-1202).The performance of the AGMVC control technique is verified experimentally using laboratory prototype. This control technique is compared with different conventional controllers, such as synchronous reference frame theory(SRFT)and instantaneous reactive power theory(IRPT)along with recently developed weight-based controllers viz.,least mean square(LMS),least mean mixed norm(LMMN)and normalized kernel least mean fourth-neural network(NKLMFNN).Numerous terms, such as fundamental weight convergence, steady state error, computational complexity, phase lock loop(PLL)requirement and harmonic compensation capability, are considered for comparison purposes of AGMVC with the above listed control techniques. The system performance is verified according to the IEEE-519 standard.Manoj Badoni Alka Singh Ankit Kumar Singh Hemant Saxena Rajeev Kumar 2023CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2023,9,2:0
17Constraining the Parameterized Neutron Star Equation of State with Astronomical Observations显示文摘We utilize the phenomenologically parameterized piecewise polytropic equations of state to study various neutron star properties. We investigate the compliance of these equations of state with several astronomical observations. We also demonstrate that the theoretical estimates of the fractional moment of inertia cannot explain all the pulsar glitches observed. We model the crust as a solid spheroidal shell to calculate the fractional moment of inertia of fast-spinning neutron stars. We also show that the braking index obtained in a simple magnetic dipole radiation model with a varying moment of inertia deviates significantly from the observed data.Future developments in both theory and observations may allow us to use the fractional moment of inertia and braking index as observational constraints for neutron star equation of state.Jaikhomba Singha S.Mullai Vaneshwar Ankit Kumar 2022Research in Astronomy and Astrophysics2022,22,5:0
