1Diabetes and cardiac autonomic neuropathy: Clinical manifestations, cardiovascular consequences, diagnosis and treatment显示文摘Cardiac autonomic neuropathy(CAN) is a frequent chronic complication of diabetes mellitus with potentially life-threatening outcomes. CAN is caused by the impairment of the autonomic nerve fibers regulating heart rate, cardiac output, myocardial contractility, cardiac electrophysiology and blood vessel constriction anddilatation. It causes a wide range of cardiac disorders, including resting tachycardia, arrhythmias, intraoperative cardiovascular instability, asymptomatic myocardial ischemia and infarction and increased rate of mortality after myocardial infarction. Etiological factors associated with autonomic neuropathy include insufficient glycemic control, a longer period since the onset of diabetes, increased age, female sex and greater body mass index. The most commonly used methods for the diagnosis of CAN are based upon the assessment of heart rate variability(the physiological variation in the time interval between heartbeats), as it is one of the first findings in both clinically asymptomatic and symptomatic patients. Clinical symptoms associated with CAN generally occur late in the disease process and include early fatigue and exhaustion during exercise, orthostatic hypotension, dizziness, presyncope and syncope. Treatment is based on early diagnosis, life style changes, optimization of glycemic control and management of cardiovascular risk factors. Medical therapies, including aldose reductase inhibitors, angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitors, prostoglandin analogs and alpha-lipoic acid, have been found to be effective in randomized controlled trials. 2Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合催化剂增强芬顿/光-芬顿和类过氧化酶反应的活性及稳定性(英文)显示文摘石墨相的氮化碳(g-C_3N_4)已被广泛用于光催化、水分解、光子检测器、电池、以及光电阴极.与其他光催化材料相比,g-C_3N_4具有价格低廉,易制备,无毒无污染等优点.此外,C_3N_4具有适宜的带隙(2.7 eV),能有效地吸收可见光.有关C_3N_4的光催化研究很多,但是其降解效率受限于电子空穴对的快速复合.因此,为了提高C_3N_4光催化反应效率,需要对其进行改性.磁铁矿(Fe_3O_4)广泛用于光催化和芬顿/光-芬顿反应.Fe_3O_4晶体具有反式尖晶石结构,其中Fe^(2+)和Fe^(3+)同时存在.研究表明,磁铁矿在酸性条件下催化效果显著,然而,它的比表面积小,随着反应时间的推移,铁离子会溶出,不利于有机物降解反应.因此,近来许多研究着重于磁铁矿复合物的制备,以提高磁铁矿的稳定性及催化性能.本文通过惰性氛围高温焙烧三聚氰胺制备了g-C_3N_4,再通过氯化铁和乙酸钠在乙醇中于180°C溶剂热反应,制备Fe_3O_4纳米粒子,最后通过静电自组装过程制备出Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4纳米复合材料.利用X射线衍射(XRD),扫描电子显微镜(SEM)及X射线光电子光谱(XPS)等手段验证其组成和结构.XRD结果表明,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料中可以清晰看到Fe_3O_4和g-C_3N_4的衍射峰,说明这两种材料的晶相得以保持.SEM和TEM结果表明,Fe_3O_4纳米颗粒很好地附着在g-C_3N_4薄片上.XPS结果表明,氮化碳中存在典型的三种N峰;此外还存在铁的两种价态.光-芬顿活性测试中,相同条件下,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4在60 min内将罗丹明B(RhB)几乎降解完全,而单组份的Fe_3O_4或g-C_3N_4对RhB的降解小于50%.可见,复合后的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4光催化性能得到很大提升.单g-C_3N_4本身由于快速的电子空穴复合以及对双氧水的弱亲和力,因而对Rh B降解效果差.单独的Fe_3O_4由于在中性或者碱性条件下反而会抑制光催化芬顿活性.对于制备的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料,具有以下优点:(1)电子在Fe^(3+)和g-C_3N_4的LUMO轨道上的转移降低了电子-空穴对的复合;(2)Fe_3O_4均匀分布在g-C_3N_4上,对于H_2O_2的吸附提供了有利的高比表面积;(3)Fe_3O_4和g-C_3N_4之间的界面相互作用使得Fe_3O_4的稳定性提高.通过降解RhB的动力学研究,得到反应速率为0.02 min^(–1),属准一级反应.分析检测结果表明,光-芬顿反应后,RhB分子被彻底矿化降解,没有中间产物生成,最终降解为CO_2和水.同时,通过对辣根过氧化物酶(HRP)模拟催化进行测试,以3,3',5,5'-四甲基联苯胺盐酸盐(TMB)作为基质,同时添加双氧水和Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4,在pH值为4.5条件下,TMB可以被有效氧化.实验表明,Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4添加量为25 mg/ml时,对TMB氧化性能最佳.复合催化剂还用于多巴胺的催化氧化反应.结果表明,多巴胺的氧化反应速率常数为1.21 min^(–1),属一级动力学反应.总之,复合材料提高了Rh B的光催化降解活性和稳定性;对TMB和HRP亲和性好,表现出高的类过氧化酶反应活性;有效的多巴胺氧化反应表明其有望用于生物基氧化反应中.实验结果表明,本文发展的Fe_3O_4/g-C_3N_4复合材料为其他类型复合材料的制备与应用提供了新的思路.Shafaq Sahar Akif Zeb 刘亚男 Naseeb Ullah 徐安武 2017Chinese Journal of Catalysis2017,38,12:8

4Effect of sunitinib on metastatic gastrointestinal stromal tumor in patients with neurofibromatosis type 1: A case report显示文摘Gastrointestinal stromal tumor (GIST) represents the most common mesenchymal malignancy of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. In neurofibromatosis (NF), the increased incidence of tumor needs to be considered even in non-symptomatic individuals. Patients with neurofibromatosis NF type 1 have an increased risk of developing GI tumors including rare types such as GIST. We report a case of GIST in a 53-year-old male patient with neurofibromatosis. The patient was diagnosed with NF four years ago and his medical history revealed that he was hospitalized 5 times with a provisional diagnosis of massive lower gastrointestinal bleeding. GIST was diagnosed at explorative laparotomy and the tumor was 21 cm × 13 cm × 7 cm in size. Immunohistochemical examination showed that vimentin, actin and CD117 were positive. Computerized tomography showed peritoneal implants three months later. Imatinib mesylate (600 mg/d) was initiated. However, control computerized tomography revealed liver and omental metastasis. The dosage was elevated to 800 mg/d. Despite high dosage, the progression of the metastatic lesions continued in the liver and omentum. The patient started oral sunitinib malate (Sutent? Pfizer Inc, New York, NY, USA) 50 mg per day for 4 consecutive weeks, followed by 2 wk off per treatment cycle. 5Soil Bulk Density Estimation Methods: A Review显示文摘Measurement of soil bulk density is important for understanding the physical, chemical, and biological properties of soil. Accurate and rapid soil bulk density measurement techniques play a significant role in agricultural experimental research. This review is a comprehensive summary of existing measurement methods and evaluates their advantages, disadvantages, potential sources of error,and directions for future development. These techniques can be broadly categorised as direct and indirect methods. Direct methods include core, clod, and excavation sampling, whereas indirect methods include the radiation and regression approaches. The core method is most widely used, but it is time consuming and difficult to use for sampling multiple soil depths. The size of the coring cylinder used, operator experience, sampling depth, and in-situ soil moisture content significantly affect its accuracy. The clod method is suitable for use with heavy clay soils, and its accuracy is dependent on equipment calibration, drying time, and operator experience, but the process is complicated and time consuming. Excavation techniques are most commonly used to evaluate the bulk density of forest soils, but have major limitations as they cannot be used in soils with large pores and their measurement accuracy is strongly influenced by soil texture and the type of analysis selected. The indirect methods appear to have greater accuracy than direct approaches, but have higher costs, are more complex, and require greater operator experience. One such approach uses gamma radiation, and its accuracy is strongly influenced by soil depth. Regression methods are economical as they can make indirect measurements, but these depend on good, quality data of soil texture and organic matter content and geographical and climatic properties. 6Topology-Optimized 4D Printing of a Soft Actuator显示文摘Soft robots and actuators are emerging devices providing more capabilities in the field of robotics.More flexibility and compliance attributing to soft functional materials used in the fabrication of these devices make them ideal for delivering delicate tasks in fragile environments,such as food and biomedical sectors.Yet,the intuitive nonlinearity of soft functional materials and their anisotropic actuation in compliant mechanisms constitute an existent challenge in improving their performance.Topology optimization(TO)along with four-dimensional(4D)printing is a powerful digital tool that can be used to obtain optimal internal architectures for the efficient performance of porous soft actuators.This paper employs TO analysis for achieving high bending deflection of a 3D printed polyelectrolyte actuator,which shows bending deformations in response to electrical stimuli in an electrolyte solution.The performance of the actuator is studied in terms of maximum bending and actuation rate compared with a solid,uniformly 3D printed and topology-optimized actuator.The experimental results proved the effectiveness of TO on achieving higher bending deformation and actuation rate against a uniformly 3D printed actuator.Ali Zolfagharian Martin Denk Mahdi Bodaghi Abbas Z.Kouzani Akif Kaynak 2020Acta Mechanica Solida Sinica2020,33,3:3
7Lung parenchymal changes in patients with ankylosing spondylitis显示文摘AIM: To assess lung parenchymal changes in ankylosing spondylitis (AS) using high resolution computed tomography (HRCT). METHODS: We included 78 AS patients whose average age was 33.87 (18-56) years with a ratio of 53 males to 25 females who were followed up for 3.88 (1-22) years on average. neumonia and tuberculosis were excluded. In a detailed examination of lung HRCT findings, we investigated the presence of parenchymal micronodules,parenchymal bands, subpleural bands, interlobular and intralobular septal thickening, irregularity of interfaces,ground glass opacity, consolidation, mosaic pattern,bronchial wall thickening, bronchial dilatation, tracheal dilatation, pleural thickening, emphysema, thoracic cage asymmetry, honeycomb appearance, structural distortion, apical fibrosis and other additional findings.RESULTS: In detailed HRCT evaluations, lung parenchymal changes were found in 46 (59%) of all patients. We found parenchymal bands in 21 (27%) cases, interlobular septal thickening in 9 (12%), emphysema in 9 (12%), apical fibrosis in 8 (10%), ground-glass opacities in 7 (9%), parenchymal micronodules in 5 (6%), irregularity in interfaces in 3 (4%), bronchial dilatation in 3 (4%), mosaic pattern in 2 (3%), pleural thickening in 2 (3%), consolidation in 1 (1%), bronchial wall thick ening in 1 (1%) and a subpleural band in 1 (1%) case. Furthermore, we detected subsegmental atelectasis in 2 patients and a cavitary lesion in 1 patient. CONCLUSION: Our study had the highest number of AS cases of all previous studies in evaluating lung paren chymal changes. 8Association of inflammation with atrial fibrillation in hyperthyroidism显示文摘The aim of this studywas to evaluate the relationship between inflammation and development of atrial fibrillation (AF) in patients with hyperthyroidism.Methods A total of 65 patients with newly diagnosed hyperthyroidism, 35 of whom were in sinus rhythm and 30 of whom in AF. Thirty five age- and gender-matched patients in a control group were included in the study. Factors associated with the development of AF were evaluated by multivariate regression analysis. Results Factors associated with AF in multivariate analysis included high sensitivity C reactive protein (HsCRP) [odds ratio (OR): 11.19; 95% confidence interval (95% CI): 1.80–69.53; P = 0.003],free T4 (OR: 8.76; 95% CI: 2.09–36.7; P = 0.003), and left atrial diameter (OR: 1.25; 95% CI: 1.06–1.47; P = 0.008). 14Recent progress in Co-based metal-organic framework derivatives for advanced batteries显示文摘To date,Co-based metal-organic frameworks(Co-MOFs)have drawn much attention owing to their advantages of easy preparation,high porosity and adjustable structure.Because of these enticing properties,numerous efforts have been devoted to their applications in energy storage and conversion.However,poor conductivity has become one of the biggest obstacles for large-scale use of pristine Co-MOFs.Subsequently,many attempts have been carried out to develop various Co-MOF derived materials as electrodes for rechargeable batteries in order to address the above-mentioned shortcoming and to enhance the electrical conductivity with improved stability during cycling.Moreover,in addition to improvement of Li-ion batteries in practical utilization,seeking for other rechargeable batteries is another urgent task due to the high cost and limited sources of metallic Li.Herein,by following the recent research progress,this review provides an overview of applications of Co-MOF derived materials in various rechargeable batteries including lithium-ion batteries,sodium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur batteries,zinc air batteries and other rechargeable batteries,where they have been utilized as cathodes,anodes,separators and electrocatalysts.Accordingly,we categorize and compare the morphology driven electrochemical performance of various Co-MOF derivatives including porous carbon,cobalt oxides,cobalt chalcogenides,cobalt phosphides and corresponding composites.Finally,current challenges for large-scale production and commercialization of Co-MOF derived materials as well as some reasonable solutions have been discussed at the end.Jianen Zhou Qingyun Yang Qiongyi Xie Hong Ou Xiaoming Lin Akif Zeb Lei Hu Yongbo Wu Guozheng Ma 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,1:2
