| 1 | Soft and Hard Tissue Changes Following Treatment of Class Ⅱ Division 1 Malocclusion with Twin-Block and Myofunctional Appliance: A Pilot Study显示文摘Background Many cases of ClassⅡdeformities have been reported to be treated with prefabricated appliances.The aim of this study was to distinguish the clinical effect of traditional custom-made appliances and prefabricated appliances in the treatment of ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion.Therefore,soft and hard tissue changes following treatment of ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion using the twin-block(TB)appliance was compared to that using the Myofunctional Research Company(MRC)appliance(K1+K2)combined with oral myofunctional treatment(OMT)(MRC+OMT).Methods The study included 22 children(6 boys and 16 girls aged 9–11 years)with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion along with mandibular retrognathism with a 5–12 mm overjet,basic normal maxillary status,and stage 2 or 3 cervical vertebral maturation(CVM).Participants were randomly assigned into two groups,the TB group and the MRC+OMT group for 12 months.Standardized lateral cephalograms were used to assess skeletal,dental,and soft tissue changes from pre-to post-treatment.Independent t-tests were used to compare the initial and final cephalometric status and tissue changes between the groups.Results The TB and MRC+OMT groups resulted in different degrees of lateral changes;however,improvements of skeletal and soft tissue indices were significantly greater in the TB group than in the MRC+OMT group.Conclusion TB was more effective than MRC+OMT in treating children aged 9–11 years with ClassⅡdivision 1 malocclusion.However,further research using custom-made appliances with OMT is recommended,and further investigations are needed to confirm these findings. | Ling XIE Ping WANG Jianhua WU | 2020 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2020,2,4: | 5 |
| 2 | VSD治疗足部痛风石破溃伴严重感染创面的体会显示文摘Objective Investigate the clinical effects of Vacuum Sealing Drainage(VSD)in the treatment of 11 cases of foot tophi rupture with severely infected wounds.Methods From January 2017 to January 2019,11 patients with foot tophi rupture and severe infection were enrolled in our department.There were 9 males and 2 females,aged from 27 to 68 years old.All patients were treated with VSD after debridement.The treatment time was 7d-42d,with an average of 17d.Results All patients were followed up for 6 months after VSD treatment.All the wounds healed well without complications.Conclusion VSD is used to treat foot tophus rupture with severe infection of wounds.It is easy to operate and satisfactory in clinical results. | 王鹏 朱礼昆 何永静 杨蔚琪 王继华 | 2019 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2019,1,2: | 3 |

| 9 | Supermicrosurgical lymphoevenous anastomosis for the treatment of peripheral lymphedema:A systematic review of the literature显示文摘The effectiveness of supermicrosurgical lymphovenous anastomosis(LVA)for lymphedema treatment remains controversial.Currently,no evidence has been summarized.This study aimed to review the published literature on supermicrosurgical LVAs in the treatment of peripheral lymphedema and to analyze the surgical outcomes.Studies from databases(PubMed/MEDLINE,Cochrane Controlled Trial Data,and Embase)were collected to determine the effectiveness of supermicrosugrical LVAs for lymphedema.A systematic review was performed using individual patient data.Fifteen studies,including 578 patients(482 female,72 male,and 24 unknown)with a mean age of 51 years,satisfied the needs of the study requirements.Supermicrosurgical LVAs for peripheral lymphedema have demonstrated substantial improvements in both objective and subjective findings in many patients.Moreover,in the long-term follow-up,the effectiveness of this treatment modality maintained a high efficacy of LVA in lymphedema cases.However,most studies provided low-quality evidence,and the conclusion is still not finalized. | Shoubao Wang Jingting Chen Zhaohua Jiang Shengli Li | 2021 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2021,3,3: | 2 |

| 16 | 脐带间充质干细胞治疗SUI鼠模及干细胞标记磁共振示踪检测体内的实验效果显示文摘Objective To assess the effect of intra-sphincteric injections of human umbilical cord mesenchymal stem cells(HUMSCs)on leak point pressure(LPP)changes in an animal model of stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Meanwhile,to investigate in vivo MRI tracking HUMSCs in SUI rats using a clinically available paramagnetic contrast agent(Gd-DTPA)and commercially available effentence transfection reagents..Materials and Methods HUMSCs were dual labeled with Gd-DTPA and PKH26,the labeling efficiency and longevity of Gd-DTPA maintenance were measured and cell viability and proliferation were assessed.39 female Sprague–Dawley SUI rats.12 normal rats and 12 SUI rats received periurethral injection of PBS and 12 SUI rats were given periurethral injection of dual labeled HUMSCs.3 SUI rat sreceived periurethral injection of u nlabeled HUMSCs.Six weeks after injection,LPP was undertaken in animals.All rats were sacrificed and frozen urethra sections were submitted to pathology and immunohistochemistry assessment.Results The labeling efficiency of Gd-DTPA was up to 80%,the labeling procedure did not influence cell viability and proliferation.The signal intensity on T1-weighted imaging and T1 values of labeled cells were significantly higher than those of unlabeled cells.In vitro,differentiated HUMSCs expressed myosin heavy chain(MHC)and desmin,markers of striated muscles.In vivo,immunohistochemistry of rat urethras revealed dual labeled HUMSCs in situ and at the injection site.LPP was significantly improved in animals injected with HUMSCs.Atrophic urethras with implanted HUMSCs were positively stained for MHC and desmin.The distribution and migration of labeled cells could be tracked by MRI more than 14 days after t ransplantation.Conclusion HUMSCs have the ability to differentiate striated muscles,as demonstrated by MHC and desmin expression.Periurethral injection of HUMSCs in an animal model of SUI restored the damaged external urethral sphincter and significantly improved LPP.MRI can track Gd-DTPA–labled HUMSCs in an animal model of SUI in vivo. | 罗新 季菲 蓝剑发 朱元方 宋红 石海燕 杨斌见 蒋学峰 | 2019 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2019,1,2: | 2 |
| 17 | Use of Autologous Costal Cartilage Combined with Expanded Polytetrafluoroethylene in Asian Rhinoplasty显示文摘Background The corresponding author's experience and recent methods employed in autologous costal cartilage grafts combined with expanded polytetrafluoroethylene(ePTFE)in Asian rhinoplasty were presented in this study.Objectives The purpose of this study was to assess the outcomes of rhinoplasty performed on patients using autogenous costal cartilage grafts combined with an ePTFE implant.Methods Seventy-five rhinoplasty cases with autologous costal cartilage grafts and an ePTFE implant were retrospectively reviewed.Graft types,complications associated with the graft itself or graft harvesting,surgical outcomes,and patient satisfaction were assessed.Results The mean follow-up time post-operation was 13.5 months.A total of 42/75 patients underwent revision surgeries.Graft-related complications were found in 8%of cases,including two warped graft and four infection cases.Three individuals with infections had mild graft resorption.One patient with an infection removed the implant.Graft exposure,mobility,and substantial resorption were not recorded.A total of two cases underwent revision procedures for infection and perforation,respectively.Chest incision lengths for graft harvesting averaged 2.1 cm.No pneumothorax or significant donor-site pain was found.Donor-site scars were negligible,although two cases had hypertrophic chest scars.In general,functional and esthetic outcomes were mostly satisfactory among the assessed patients.Conclusions Rhinoplasty using autologous rib cartilage provides adequate support and sufficient cartilage amounts for correcting nasal contouring.Meanwhile,ePTFE alone for nasal dorsum augmentation safely achieves satisfactory outcomes.Rib cartilage rhinoplasty performed by an experienced surgeon yields excellent,long-lasting results with minimal risk;however,the potential for infection should be considered following revision surgery. | Yang AN Jianfang ZHAO Lu LU Yonghuan ZHEN Xiaojie TAN Dong LI | 2020 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2020,2,2: | 2 |

| 19 | Differentiation and Pro-Angiogenic Potential of Infantile Hemangioma Stem Cells显示文摘Objectives Infantile hemangioma(IH)is defined as a benign vascular tumor composed of immature vascular endothelial cells,with the unique characteristics of rich vascularization and self-regression into fibro-fatty tissue.CD133-positive hemangioma stem cells(HemSCs),present in the proliferating IH tissue,can be used to establish the IH animal model,which has highlighted the pathogenesis of IH in recent years.This study focused on the biological characteristics and differentiation capacity of HemSCs and aimed to provide a theoretical possibility for its application in tissue engineering.Methods To further confirm our hypothesis,we used fluorescence-activated cell sorting(FACS),in vitro multipotent induced differentiation,angiogenesis assay,and antibody array to identify the surface markers,multipotent differential potential,angiogenesis potential,and secreted factors of HemSCs,respectively,utilizing human adipose stem cells(hADSCs)as the control.Results We successfully isolated and cultured HemSCs.FACS indicated that,on average,more than 80%of HemSCs matched the criteria of mesenchymal stem cell(MSC)surface markers.Our results confirmed that HemSCs could differentiate into adipocytes,osteocytes,and chondrocytes.Additionally,compared with fibroblasts or hADSCs,HemSCs could promote angiogenesis through para-secretion.Conclusions HemSCs may originate from normal MSCs,and owing to their powerful proliferative and angiogenic abilities,they could be considered an IH pathogenic factor.These characteristics demonstratet heir potential as a candidate seed cell in tissue engineering. | Hanru YING Qianyi CHEN Xuanfeng CHEN Zhang YU MD Shih-Jen CHANG Lei CHANG Gang MA Yajing QIU Hui CHEN Xiaoxi LIN | 2020 | Chinese Journal Of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery2020,2,1: | 2 |
