| 1 | Mapping wetland changes in China between 1978 and 2008显示文摘Four wetland maps for all China have been produced,based on Landsat and CBERS-02B remote sensing data between 1978 and 2008 (1978,1990,2000 and 2008).These maps were mainly developed by manual interpretation and validated by substantial field investigation in 2009.Based on these maps,we analyzed the 2008 wetland distribution in China and discussed wetland changes and their drivers over the past 30 years.(i) There were about 324097 km 2 of wetlands in 2008,for which inland marshes or swamps were the most common wetland type (35%),with lakes (26%) second.Most of the wetlands were in Heilongjiang,Inner Mongolia,Qinghai and Tibet,occupying about 55% of the national wetland area.(ii) From 1978 to 2008,China's wetland area continually and significantly decreased,by about 33% based on changes in the wetland map.This was in sharp contrast to the increase in artificial wetlands,which increased by about 122%.Inland marshes accounted for the main loss of total wetlands from 1978 to 2000.From 2000 through 2008,riverine and lacustrine wetlands constituted the main wetland loss.Fortunately however,the rate of wetland loss decreased from 5523 to 831 km 2 /a.(iii) The change ratio of lost natural wetlands (including inland and coastal wetlands) to non-wetlands has decreased slightly over the past 30 years.From 1978 to 1990,nearly all natural wetlands (98%) lost were transformed into non-wetlands.However,the ratio declined to 86% from 1990 to 2000,and to 77% from 2000 to 2008.(iv) All Chinese provinces were divided into three groups according to patterns of wetland changes,which could relate to the driving forces of such changes.Tibet was completely different from other provinces,as it was one representative example in which there was a net wetland increase,because of global warming and decreased human activity since 1990.Increased economic development caused considerable wetland loss in most eastern provinces,and artificial wetlands increased. | NIU ZhenGuo ZHANG HaiYing WANG XianWei YAO WenBo ZHOU DeMin ZHAO KuiYi ZHAO Hui LI NaNa HUANG HuaBing LI CongCong YANG Jun LIU CaiXia LIU Shuang WANG Lin LI Zhan YANG ZhenZhong QIAO Fei ZHENG YaoMin CHEN YanLei SHENG YongWei GAO XiaoHong ZHU WeiHong WANG WenQing WANG Hong WENG YongLing ZHUANG DaFang LIU JiYuan LUO ZhiCai CHENG Xiao GUO ZiQi GONG Peng | 2012 | Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,22: | 51 |
| 2 | Aggregation-induced emission: a coming-of-age ceremony at the age of eighteen显示文摘Aggregation-induced emission(AIE) has drawn great attention worldwide for its unique optical phenomenon and huge potential applications. Since coined by Ben Zhong Tang et al. in 2001, AIE has been deeply investigated and widely utilized in many important areas, such as organic light-emitting diode(OLED), sensor, and bio-imaging. Herein, we highlight some important progress of AIE in these eighteen years, including the exploration of internal mechanism and potential applications. Furthermore,some other interestingly emissive behaviors, originating but distinguishing from the AIE concept, are presented. | 3 | Friction and Wear Behavior of Resin/Graphite Composite under Dry Sliding显示文摘The friction and wear behavior of resin/graphite composite has been investigated using a pin-on-disc configuration under dry sliding condition. The results showed that the resin/graphite composite exhibited much better mechanical and tribological properties compared with the unimpregnated graphite. The friction coefficient was reduced by addition of furan resin, which could also prevent the'dusting' wear at loads more than 15 MPa. The steady and lubricated transfer film was easily formed on the counterpart surface due to the interaction of furan resin and wear debris of graphite, which was useful to reduce the wear rate of the resin/graphite composite. | 5 | Effect of variation in gas distribution on explosion propagation characteristics in coal mines显示文摘In order to investigate the effect of variation in the distribution of gas on explosion propagation characteristics in coal mines, experiments were carried out in two different channels with variation in gas concentration and geometry. Flame and pressure transducers were used to track the explosion front velocity. The flame speed (Sf) showed a slight downward trend while the methane concentration varied from 10% to 3% in the experimental channel. The peak overpressure (Pmax) dropped dramatically when compared with normal conditions. As well, the values of Pmax and Sf decreased when the methane concentration dropped from 8% to 6%. The flame speed in the channel, connected to a cylinder with a length varying from 0.5 to 2 m, was greater than that in the normal channel. The peak overpressure was also higher than that under normal conditions because of a higher flame speed and stronger pressure piling up. The values of Pmax and Sf increased with an increase in cylinder length. | 12 | Achieving white-light emission in a single-component polymer with halogen-assisted interaction显示文摘White-light emitting(WLE) polymers have attracted continuous attention for their promising applications in solid-state lighting,flexible display and related fields. However, achieving dual-emission and pure white-light emission in a single-component polymer is still challenging. In this study, a brominated single-component polymer Br OD-TFB was designed and synthesized,which shows dual-emission and white light emission properties in solution and room-temperature phosphorescence(RTP) in thin films. The dual-emission properties can be tuned by concentration, solvent polarity, and excitation energy. Spectral analyses and theoretical calculations reveal that the origin of the high-energy emission band(HEB) is intramolecular charge transfer(ICT)along the polymer chain, whilst the low-energy emission band(LEB) originates from the excited-state related to the intra-chain and inter-chain C–Br···π interactions as demonstrated by the single-crystal structure of the model compound. Appropriate control of the formation and the destruction of the halogen-assisted interactions can initiate white-light emission in the singlecomponent polymer. | 18 | Controlled synthesis of MOF-derived hollow and yolk–shell nanocages for improved water oxidation and selective ethylene glycol reformation显示文摘Delicately designed metal–organic framework(MOF)-derived nanostructured electrocatalysts are essential for improving the reaction kinetics of the oxygen evolution reaction and tuning the selectivity of small organic molecule oxidation reactions.Herein,novel oxalate-modified hollow CoFe-based layered double hydroxide nanocages(h-CoFe-LDH NCs)and yolk–shell ZIF@CoFe-LDH nanocages(ys-ZIF@CoFe-LDH NCs)are developed through an etching–doping reconstruction strategy from a Co-based MOF precursor(ZIF-67).The distinctive nanostructures,along with the incorporation of the secondary metal element and intercalated oxalate groups,enable h-CoFe-LDH NCs and ys-ZIF@CoFe-LDH NCs to expose more active sites with high intrinsic activity.The resultant h-CoFe-LDH NCs exhibit outstanding OER activity with an overpotential of only 278 mV to deliver a current density of 50 mA cm^(-2).Additionally,controlling the reconstruction degree enables the formation of ys-ZIF@CoFe-LDH NCs with a yolk–shell nanocage nanostructure,which show outstanding electrocatalytic performance for the selective ethylene glycol oxidation reaction(EGOR)toward formate,with a Faradaic efficiency of up to 91%.Consequently,a hybrid water electrolysis system integrating the EGOR and the hydrogen evolution reaction using Pt/C||ys-ZIF@CoFe-LDH NCs is explored for energy-saving hydrogen production,requiring a cell voltage 127 mV lower than water electrolysis to achieve a current density of 50 mA cm^(-2).This work demonstrates a feasible way to design advanced MOF-derived electrocatalysts toward enhanced electrocatalytic reactions. | Minghong Huang Changsheng Cao Li Liu Wenbo Wei Qi-Long Zhu Zhenguo Huang | 2023 | eScience2023,3,5: | 0 |
| 19 | The value of CT pulmonary angiography to the diagnosis of right ventricular dysfunction due to acute pulmonary embolism:compared with ultrasonographic cardiography显示文摘Objective:To analyze the value of CT pulmonary angiography(CTPA) in assessing right ventricular dysfunction(RVD) after acute pulmonary embolism. Methods:Thirty-six patients with CTPA-confirmed PE who underwent ultrasonic cardiography(UCG) within the ensuing 24 hours were retrospectively reviewed. According to the severity of the disease,the patients were divided into the massive PE group(24 cases) and non-massive PE group(12 cases) respectively. CT scans were analyzed for findings suggestive of RVD. Scans were considered positive for RVD if the right ventricle was dilated(RVd/LVd>1) or if the interventricular septum was straightened or deviated towards the left ventricle. Results were then compared with the results of UCG to estimate the value of CTPA in detecting RVD associated with PE. Results:In all cases,compared with UCG,the diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,positive likelihood ratio,negative likelihood ratio,positive predictive value,and negative predictive value of CTPA was 84.61%,78.26%,3.892,0.197,68.75% and 90% respectively. Kappa value was 0.60,which suggested moderate agreement between CTPA and UCG in the whole level. In the massive PE group,the diagnostic sensitivity,specificity,positive likelihood ratio,negative likelihood ratio,positive predictive value,negative predictive value of CTPA was 84.61%,72.73%,3.103,0.212,78.57% and 80% respectively. Kappa value was 0.58,which suggested moderate agreement between CTPA and UCG in the massive PE group. In the non-massive PE group,the diagnostic specificity of CTPA was 83.33%. By statistics,the value of RVd/LVd had significant difference between the massive PE and the non-massive PE group. Conclusion:CTPA can reliably detect RVD through the evaluation of cardiac morphology. | 20 | Facile synthesis of defected TiO_(2-x)(B) nanosheet/graphene oxide hybrids with high photocatalytic H_(2) activity显示文摘TiO_(2)(B) nanosheets/GO(graphene oxide) hybrids are considered to be outstanding performance photocatalysts for high efficiency of H_(2) evolution. However, they still suffer severe challenges during the synthetic processes, such as a large amount of the capping agents adhering on the surface and easy occurrence of aggregation. To figure out these obstacles, Ar plasma treatment as a modified method in this study not only enable the TiO_(2)(B) nanosheets distributed uniformly on the GO sheets but also engineer defects within TiO_(2)(B) nanosheets to significantly improve the photocatalytic activity for the water splitting. The hydrogen evolution rate of the TiO_(2)-x(B)/GO sheets is 1.4 times higher compared with that of original TiO_(2)(B)/GO sheets without Ar plasma treatment. The improved photocatalytic properties were owing to the synergetic effects of oxygen vacancies and the heterojunction between GO and TiO_(2)(B), which can promote the visible light utilization and accelerate separation and transportation of photogenerated electron-holes.
