2Spatial Evolution and Locational Determinants of High-tech Industries in Beijing显示文摘Using datasets on high-tech industries in Beijing as empirical studies, this paper attempts to interpret spatial shift of high-tech manufacturing firms and to examine the main determinants that have had the greatest effect on this spatial evolution. We aimed at merging these two aspects by using firm level databases in 1996 and 2010. To explain spatial change of the high-tech firms in Beijing, the Kernel density estimation method was used for hotspot analysis and detection by comparing their locations in 1996 and 2010, through which spatial features and their temporal changes could be approximately plotted. Furthermore, to provide quantitative results, Ripley′s K-function was used as an instrument to reveal spatial shift and the dispersion distance of high-tech manufacturing firms in Beijing. By employing a negative binominal regression model, we evaluated the main determinants that have significantly affected the spatial evolution of high-tech manufacturing firms and compared differential influence of these locational factors on overall high-tech firms and each sub-sectors. The empirical analysis shows that high-tech industries in Beijing, in general, have evident agglomeration characteristics, and that the hotspot has shifted from the central city to suburban areas. In combination with the Ripley index, this study concludes that high-tech firms are now more scattered in metropolitan areas of Beijing as compared with 1996. The results of regression model indicate that the firms′ locational decisions are significantly influenced by the spatial planning and regulation policies of the municipal government. In addition, market processes involving transportation accessibility and agglomeration economy have been found to be important in explaining the dynamics of locational variation of high-tech manufacturing firms in Beijing. 3Dabrafenib,an inhibitor of RIP3 kinase-dependent necroptosis,reduces ischemic brain injury显示文摘Ischemic brain injury triggers neuronal cell death by apoptosis via caspase activation and by necroptosis through activation of the receptor-interacting protein kinases(RIPK) associated with the tumor necrosis factor-alpha(TNF-α)/death receptor. Recent evidence shows RIPK inhibitors are neuroprotective and alleviate ischemic brain injury in a number of animal models, however, most have not yet undergone clinical trials and safety in humans remains in question. Dabrafenib, originally identified as a B-raf inhibitor that is currently used to treat melanoma, was later revealed to be a potent RIPK3 inhibitor at micromolar concentrations. Here, we investigated whether Dabrafenib would show a similar neuroprotective effect in mice subjected to ischemic brain injury by photothrombosis. Dabrafenib administered intraperitoneally at 10 mg/kg one hour after photothrombosis-induced focal ischemic injury significantly reduced infarct lesion size in C57BL6 mice the following day, accompanied by a markedly attenuated upregulation of TNF-α. However, subsequent lower doses(5 mg/kg/day) failed to sustain this neuroprotective effect after 4 days. Dabrafenib bl ocked lipopolysaccharides-induced activation of TNF-α in bone marrow-derived macrophages, suggesting that Dabrafenib may attenuate TNF-α-induced necroptotic pathway after ischemic brain injury. 5Exosomes derived from human amniotic epithelial cells accelerate diabetic wound healing via PI3K-AKT-mTOR-mediated promotion in angiogenesis and fibroblast function显示文摘Background:Diabetic wounds are one of the most common and serious complications of diabetes mellitus,characterized by the dysfunction of wound-healing-related cells in quantity and quality.Our previous studies revealed that human amniotic epithelial cells(hAECs)could promote diabetic wound healing by paracrine action.Interestingly,numerous studies demonstrated that exosomes derived from stem cells are the critical paracrine vehicles for stem cell therapy.However,whether exosomes derived from hAECs(hAECs-Exos)mediate the effects of hAECs on diabetic wound healing remains unclear.This study aimed to investigate the biological effects of hAECs-Exos on diabetic wound healing and preliminarily elucidate the underlying mechanism.Methods:hAECs-Exos were isolated by ultracentrifugation and identified by transmission electron microscopy,dynamic light scattering and flow cytometry.A series of in vitro functional analyses were performed to assess the regulatory effects of hAECs-Exos on human fibroblasts(HFBs)and human umbilical vein endothelial cells(HUVECs)in a high-glycemic microenvironment.Highthroughput sequencing and bioinformatics analyses were conducted to speculate the related mechanisms of actions of hAECs-Exos on HFBs and HUVECs.Subsequently,the role of the candidate signaling pathway of hAECs-Exos in regulating the function of HUVECs and HFBs,as well as in diabetic wound healing,was assessed.Results:hAECs-Exos presented a cup-or sphere-shaped morphology with a mean diameter of 105.89±10.36 nm,were positive for CD63 and TSG101 and could be internalized by HFBs and HUVECs.After that,hAECs-Exos not only significantly promoted the proliferation and migration of HFBs,but also facilitated the angiogenic activity of HUVECs in vitro.High-throughput sequencing revealed enriched miRNAs of hAECs-Exos involved in wound healing.Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes and Gene Ontology analyses have shown that the target genes of the top 15 miRNAs were highly enriched in the PI3K-AKT pathway.Further functional studies demonstrated that the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway was necessary for the induced biological effects of hAECs-Exos on HFBs and HUVECs,as well as on wound healing,in diabetic mice.Conclusions:Our findings demonstrated that hAECs-Exos represent a promising,novel strategy for diabetic wound healing by promoting angiogenesis and fibroblast function via activation of the PI3K-AKT-mTOR pathway.Pei Wei Chenjian Zhong Xiaolan Yang Futing Shu Shichu Xiao Teng Gong Pengfei Luo Li Li Zhaohong Chen Yongjun Zheng Zhaofan Xia 2020Burns & Trauma2020,8,1:12

7A review of key strategies in realizing power system resilience显示文摘The world is witnessing increasing frequency of extreme events. The power system is the backbone critical infrastructure of our economy and is under treat of such events. The resilient power system is intended to cope with low probability, high risk extreme events including extreme natural disasters and man-made attacks. Realizing resilience in the power system has been an unprecedented mission. Equipped with today’s smart grid technologies, power system can be rendered more resilient by the strategies taken before, during and after a disruptive event erupts. Based on a thorough review of existing works, we present the most-investigated problems and solving measures according to their application stage. In the preparation stage, innovative planning frameworks considering disaster scenarios are discussed; after the event, the system can alter the topology and integrate resource allocation to alleviate load shedding. The characteristics of different disasters are investigated to facilitate enhancing resilience. 9Characterization and biological evaluation of a novel silver nanoparticle-loaded collagen-chitosan dressing显示文摘Effective coverage and protection is a priority in wound treatment.Collagen and chitosan have been widely used for wound dressings due to their excellent biological activity and biocompatibility.Silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)have a powerful antibacterial effect.In this study,a macromolecular and small-molecular collagen mixed solution,a macromolecular and small-molecular chitosan mixed solution were prepared,and a silver nanoparticle-loaded collagen-chitosan dressing(AgNPCCD)has been proposed.First,the effects of a collagen-chitosan mixed solution on the proliferation of human umbilical vein endothelial cells and the secretion of cytokines were evaluated.Then,the characteristics and antibacterial effects of the AgNP-CCD were tested,and the effects on wound healing and the influence of wound cytokine expression were investigated via a deep second-degree burn wound model.The results showed that at the proper proportion and concentration,the collagen-chitosan mixed solution effectively promoted cell proliferation and regulated the levels of growth factors(vascular endothelial growth factor[VEGF],epidermal growth factor[EGF],plateletderived growth factor[PDGF],transforming growth factor[TGF-b1],basic fibroblastic growth factor[bFGF])and inflammatory factors(TNF-α,IL-1β,IL-6,IL-8).Moreover,AgNP solutions at lower concentrations exerted limited inhibitory effects on cell proliferation and had no effect on cytokine secretion.The AgNP-CCD demonstrated satisfactory morphological and physical properties as well as efficient antibacterial activities.An in vivo evaluation indicated that AgNP-CCD could accelerate the healing process of deep second-degree burn wounds and played an important role in the regulation of growth and inflammatory factors,including VEGF,EGFL-7,TGF-β1,bFGF,TNF-α and IL-1β.This AgNP-CCD exerted excellent biological effects on wound healing promotion and cytokine expression regulation.Rongfu Li Zhaorong Xu Qiong Jiang Yunquan Zheng Zhaohong Chen Xiaodong Chen 2020Regenerative Biomaterials2020,7,4:4

12Dynamic analysis of a rotating tapered cantilever Timoshenko beam based on the power series method显示文摘The mathematical modeling of a rotating tapered Timoshenko beam with preset and pre-twist angles is constructed. The partial differential equations governing the six degrees, i.e., three displacements in the axial, flapwise, and edgewise directions and three cross-sectional angles of torsion, flapwise bending, and edgewise bending, are obtained by the Euler angle descriptions. The power series method is then used to investigate the natural frequencies and the corresponding complex mode functions. It is found that all the natural frequencies are increased by the centrifugal stiffening except the twist frequency, which is slightly decreased. The tapering ratio increases the first transverse,torsional, and axial frequencies, while decreases the second transverse frequency. 16Coordinated Dispatch of Integrated Electricity-Natural Gas System and the Freight Railway Network显示文摘With the significant development of liquefied natural gas(LNG)rail transport,the railway system is increasingly more closely connected with the integrated electricity-natural gas system(IEGS).To coordinate the economic operations of the two systems,this paper innovatively proposes a coordinated dispatch model of IEGS with LNG infrastructures and a freight railway network with LNG transport.First,an operational scheduling model of the railway network,considering energy consumption,is put forward for both LNG transmission and ordinary freight transport.Then,the coordinated dispatch problem of IEGS and the railway network is formulated into a mixed-integer linear programming model via the big M method and a modified incremental linearization approach.Finally,a bi-level optimization algorithm based on generalized benders decomposition(GBD)is presented to solve the coordinated dispatch problem due to the restrictions on exchanging private information.Case studies demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm as well as the potential benefit for wind power accommodation.Tao Long Zhaohong Bie Lizhou Jiang Haipeng Xie 2020CSEE Journal of Power and Energy Systems2020,6,4:3
17The migration and transformation of dissolved organic matter during the freezing processes of water显示文摘This study investigated the partitioning behavior of dissolved organic matter(DOM) in liquid and ice phases, as well as the changes in the optical properties and chlorine reactivity of DOM during the freezing processes of water. DOM was rejected from the ice phase and accumulated in the remaining liquid phase during water freezing. Moreover, the decrease in freezing temperature, as well as the increase in dissolved organic carbon(DOC)concentration of feed water, caused an increase in DOM captured in the ice phase. The ultraviolet-absorbing compounds, trihalomethane precursors, as well as fulvic acid- and humic acid-like fluorescent materials, were more liable to be to be rejected from the ice phase and were more easily retained in the unfrozen liquid phase during water freezing, as compared with organics(on average) that comprise DOC. In addition, it was also found a higher accumulation of these organics in the unfrozen liquid phase during water freezing at higher temperature. The freeze/thaw processes altered the quantity, optical properties, and chlorine reactivity of DOM. The decrease in ultraviolet light at 254 nm as well as the production of aromatic protein- and soluble microbial byproduct-like fluorescent materials in DOM due to freeze/thaw were consistently observed. 18Hundred-Joule-level,nanosecond-pulse Nd:glass laser system with high spatiotemporal beam quality显示文摘A 100-J-level Nd:glass laser system in nanosecond-scale pulse width has been constructed to perform as a standard source of high-fluence-laser science experiments. The laser system, operating with typical pulse durations of 3–5 ns and beam diameter 60 mm, employs a sequence of successive rod amplifiers to achieve 100-J-level energy at 1053 nm at3 ns. The frequency conversion can provide energy of 50-J level at 351 nm.
