1Enhanced photocatalytic activity of Gd3+ doped TiO2 and Gd2O3 modified TiO2 prepared via ball milling method显示文摘Gd^3+/TiO2 and Gd2O3/TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared by ball milling method.The effects of Gd^3+ion and Gd2O3 on the structure and optical property of TiO2 were studied by XRD and UV-vis DRS.Specific surface area was determined by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET)method.The morphology and elemental composition were characterized by SEM-EDS.XPS was used to determine the surface compositions and chemical character of elements.The sample sizes and microstructures were observed by TEM.The photocatalytic activities of TiO2 nanoparticles modified with rare earth metal gadolinium(Gd^3+ion or Gd2O3)were evaluated by degradation of methylene blue(MB)under UV light.Experimental results indicate that 2,5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2 shows the best photocatalytic activity compared with Gd2O3/TiO2 and pure TiO2.The existence of gadolinium can exhibit the aggregation and induce lattice distortion of TiO2 obtained from XRD,SEM and TEM results.The band gap energy of 2.5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2 decreases to3.07 eV and it leads to visible light absorption response which can be seen from UV-vis absorption spectra.The surface area of 2.5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2 equals to 85.8 m^2/g and average crystal size is 21.1 nm.EDS and XPS analyses reveal that gadolinium can be introduced either into TiO2 lattice or adsorbed on the surface of TiO2.The content of surface OH groups in 2.5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2 is 50,88%(1.55 times higher than that of pure TiO2)and the content of lattice oxygen decreases to 11.26%.The MB(25 mg/L)degradation reaction rate constants of 2,5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2,0.5 mol%Gd2O3/TiO2 and pure TiO2 were0.0713,0.0588 and 0.0263 min^-1,respectively.The degradation rates of rhodamine B(30 mg/L)in 60 min are 97,9%,90.1%and 84.6%for 2,5 mol%Gd^3+/TiO2,0.5 mol%Gd2O3/TiO2 and pure TiO2,respectively.Di Wu Chen Li Dashuai Zhang Lili Wang Xiaopeng Zhang Zaifeng Shi Qiang Lin 2019Journal of Rare Earths2019,37,8:4
2Photocatalytic activity of Lu^(3+)/TiO_2 prepared by ball milling method显示文摘Ball milling method was applied to prepare Lu^(3+)/TiO_2 photocatalysts. The catalysts were characterized with X-ray powder diffraction(XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS), UV-visible diffuse reflectance spectra(UV-vis DRS), energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer(EDS), transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller(BET) method. The photocatalytic activities were determined by the degradation of methylene blue(MB) equipped with a 300 W medium pressure mercury lamp. Results show that the first order reaction rate constants of Lu^(3+)/TiO_2 and pure TiO_2 are0.0565 and 0.0263 min-1, respectively, which both were evaluated under the condition of catalysts loading of 0.2 g/L,initial concentration of 25 mg/L for MB, mole ratio of Lu^(3+)/TiO_2 of 1.5% and milling time of 4 h. 5Personality Openness Predicts Driver Trust in Automated Driving显示文摘Maintaining an appropriate level of trust in automated driving(AD)is critical to safe driving.However,few studies have explored factors affecting trust in AD in general,and no study,as far as is known,has directly investigated whether driver personality influences driver trust in an AD system.The current study investigates the relation between driver personality and driver trust in AD,focusing on Level 2 AD.Participants were required to perform a period of AD in a driving simulator,during which their gaze and driving behavior were recorded,as well as their subjective trust scores after driving.In three distinct measures,a significant correlation between Openness and driver trust in the AD system is found:participants with higher Openness traits tend to have less trust in the AD system.No significant correlations between driver trust in AD and other personality traits are found.The findings suggest that driver personality has an impact on driver trust in AD.Theoretical and practical implications of this finding are discussed.Wenmin Li Nailang Yao Yanwei Shi Weiran Nie Yuhai Zhang Xiangrong Li Jiawen Liang Fang Chen Zaifeng Gao 2020Automotive Innovation2020,3,1:2
6High-temperature wheat leaf rust resistance gene Lr13 exhibits pleiotropic effects on hybrid necrosis显示文摘Dear Editor,Wheat is one of the most important staple food crops.Leaf rust caused by Puccinia triticina Eriks.(Pt)is a destructive foliar disease that threatens world wheat production.Complementary wheat genes Necrosis 1(Ne1)and Necrosis 2(Ne2)on chromosome arms 5BL and 2BS,respectively,cause hybrid necrosis(Caldwell and Compton,1943;Chu et al.,2006).Ne2 shows extremely tight genetic linkage with leaf rust resistance gene Lr13(Zhang et al.,2016).We previously identified a temperature-sensitive leaf rust resistance gene LrZH22 in Chinese wheat cultivar Zhoumai 22(ZM,Figure 1A)that was effective against most Chinese Pt pathotypes(Wang et al.,2016)and shared an overlapping genetic interval with Lr13.In a separate study,a recessive early leaf senescence 1(els1)gene(Figure 1B)shared an overlapping interval with LrZH22/Lr13/Ne2(Chu et al.,2006;Wang et al.,2016;Zhang et al.,2016;Li et al.,2018).However,the function and relationship of LrZH22/Lr13/Ne2/els1 remained unknown for decades.Here,we report the map-based cloning of LrZH22 and els1 and characterize their relationship with Lr13 and Ne2 in conjunction with a companion paper(Hewitt et al.t 2021)studying the same gene.Xiaocui Yan Miaomiao Li Peipei Zhang Guihong Yin Huaizhi Zhang Takele Weldu Gebrewahid Jianping Zhang Lingli Dong Daqun Liu Zhiyong Liu Zaifeng Li 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,7:2
7QTL mapping of adult plant resistance to stripe rust and leaf rust in a Fuyu 3/Zhengzhou 5389 wheat population显示文摘Stripe or yellow rust(YR)and leaf rust(LR)cause large losses in wheat production worldwide.Resistant cultivars curtail the levels of losses.The present study aimed to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL)for YR and LR resistance in 147 F2:6 recombinant inbred lines(RIL)derived from the cross Fuyu 3/Zhengzhou 5389.The RIL population and parents were genotyped with the Wheat55 K single nucleotide polymorphism(SNP)array and simple sequence repeat(SSR)markers.All materials were also phenotyped for YR severity at Mianyang in Sichuan province and Baoding in Hebei province in the 2015/2016,2016/2017,and 2017/2018 cropping seasons,and LR severity at Zhoukou in Henan province and at Baoding in 2017/2018.Eleven QTL for YR resistance and five for LR resistance were detected using inclusive composite interval mapping(Ici Mapping).Four of these QTL on chromosomes 1 BL,2 BS,3 AL,and 5 AL conferred resistance to both YR and LR.The QTL on 1 BL was Lr46/Yr29,and that on 7 BL might be Lr68.The QTL on chromosome 2 BS was detected at a similar position to previously detected loci.QYr.hebau-3 AL/QLr.hebau-3 AL,QYr.hebau-5 AL/QLr.hebau-5 AL,QYr.hebau-7 DL,QYr.hebau-4 BS,QYr.hebau-6 DL,and QYr.hebau-2 AS are likely to be new.An SSR marker for QYr.hebau-7 DL was developed and validated in a diverse wheat panel from China,suggesting effectiveness in different genetic backgrounds.These QTL with closely linked SNP and SSR markers could be useful for marker-assisted selection in wheat breeding programs targeting durable resistance to both diseases.Takele Weldu Gebrewahid Peipei Zhang Yue Zhou Xiaocui Yan Xianchun Xia Zhonghu He Daqun Liu Zaifeng Li 2020The Crop Journal2020,8,4:2

11Geminivirus satellite-encoded βC1 activates UPR,induces bZIP60 nuclear export,and manipulates the expression of bZIP60 downstream genes to benefit virus infection显示文摘UPR is a conserved response in eukaryotes and can alleviate endoplasmic reticulum(ER)stresses induced by abiotic and biotic stresses.The interactions between UPR and plant RNA viruses have been documented,while the interplays between UPR and plant DNA viruses remain unknown.Using tomato yellow leaf curl China virus(TYLCCNV)and its associated betasatellite(TYLCCNB)as a model,we indicate that TYLCCNBβC1 is a major inducer of UPR and can upregulate the expression of b ZIP60,a transcription factor in Nicotiana benthamiana plants.Treatment using ER stress inducers or overexpression of Nbb ZIP60 increasesβC1 accumulation and benefits TYLCCNV/TYLCCNB infection in N.benthamiana plants,and vice versa.In the TYLCCNV/TYLCCNB-infected or theβC1-expressing cells,Nbb ZIP60 is exported from the nucleus to the nuclear periphery via the XPO1 pathway,and blocking the XPO1 pathway inhibited TYLCCNV/TYLCCNB infection.We have found that the Nbb ZIP60-regulated pro-survival genes could promote virus infection,and the pro-death gene plays a contrasting role in virus infection.This study reveals that geminivirus infection activates UPR and utilizes the up-regulated molecular chaperons to promote viral infection,and then induces the nuclear export of Nbb ZIP60 to evade plant defense response,which is a distinct virulence strategy exploited by plant pathogens.Mingzhen Zhang Buwei Cao Hui Zhang Zaifeng Fan Xueping Zhou Fangfang Li 2023Science China(Life Sciences)2023,66,6:1
12An AFLP marker linked to the leaf rust resistanc gene LrBi16 and test of allelism with Lr14a on chromosome arm 7BL显示文摘Leaf rust(LR), caused by Puccinia triticina, is one of the most widespread diseases of common wheat(Triticum aestivum L.) worldwide. The LR resistance gene Lr Bi16 has been mapped on chromosome arm 7BL in Chinese wheat cultivar Bimai 16 and was closely linked to SSR loci Xcfa2257 and Xgwm344 with genetic distances of 2.8 c M and 2.9 c M, respectively. In the present study, a total of 304 AFLP primer pairs were used to screen Bimai 16 and Thatcher and resistant and susceptible DNA bulks. The polymorphic AFLP marker P-ATT/M-CGC173 bp was used to genotype F2 and F3populations to identify markers more closely linked to Lr Bi16. Marker P-ATT/M-CGC173 bp was tightly linked to Lr Bi16 with a genetic distance of0.5 c M. As Lr Bi16 was mapped near the Lr14 a locus, 809 F2 plants from the Bimai 16/RL6013(Lr14a) cross were inoculated with the Pt pathotype FHNQ to test the allelism of Lr14 a and Lr Bi16. 15Crustal activities recorded incoral reefs in the northwestern South China Sea显示文摘Coral reefs in the northwest of South China Sea have recorded the information from not only the environmental variation but also the crustal activities there during their development. The main crustal activities correlated with the coral reef development include fault, seismic, and volcano activities, etc. The high-resolution spark seismic profiles in the northwestern South China Sea show that the fault activities in the coral reef region have been clearly recorded, and appear as neonatal faults incising reefs. Earthquakes in the coral reef region are rather intense, especially the two occurring on December, 31, 1994, and January, 10, 1995, around the southwest of Leizhou Peninsula, with the magnitude of 6.1 and 6.2, respectively. They have great influence on the growth of the local coral reefs. Quaternary volcanos are active in the northwestern South China Sea, especially around the southwest of Leizhou Peninsula, and they have obvious control of the coral reef development.
