1兼抗型成株抗性小麦品系的培育、鉴定与分子检测显示文摘小麦条锈病、叶锈病和白粉病是我国小麦的重要真菌病害,培育兼抗型成株抗性品种是控制病害最为经济有效和持久安全的方法。本研究选用由成株抗性育种方法培育的21份冬小麦高代品系和96份春小麦高代品系,在多个环境下进行这3种病害的成株期抗性鉴定,并利用紧密连锁的分子标记检测了兼抗型基因Lr34/Yr18/Pm38、Lr46/Yr29/Pm39和Sr2/Yr30的分布。田间鉴定表明,21份冬小麦品系中有17份兼抗3种病害,占80.9%;96份春小麦品系中有85份兼抗3种病害,占88.5%。分子标记检测发现,21份冬小麦品系均含QPm.caas-4DL,其中7份还含QPm.caas-2BS,9份还含QPm.caas-2BL;96份春小麦品系中,18份含Lr34/Yr18/Pm38,37份含Lr46/Yr29/Pm39,29份含Sr2/Yr30。以上结果表明,分子标记与常规育种相结合,可有效培育兼抗型成株抗性品种,为我国小麦抗病育种提供了新思路。刘金栋 杨恩年 肖永贵 陈新民 伍玲 白斌 李在峰 Garry M.Rosewarne 夏先春 何中虎 2015作物学报2015,41,10:11
2填料-生物转盘处理有机模拟污水显示文摘针对传统生物转盘启动慢、挂膜性能差、水力停留时间长等缺点,采用英国某生物技术公司研制的新型填料复合式生物转盘处理有机模拟污水,考察水力停留时间、转盘转速、有机负荷等因素对工艺运行效果的影响。结果表明,新型生物转盘启动快,微生物相变化明显,微生物量大,挂膜效率高;抗负荷冲击能力强,有机负荷大幅度变化对其影响较小;二级转笼处有机负荷相对较低,溶解氧高,微生物的种类、数量均比一级转笼多;该转盘处理有机模拟污水的最优水力停留时间为1.5 h,最佳转速为12.4 r/min,较传统生物转盘污水处理量大,且污水COD去除率高达97%,大大降低运行能耗,出水水质达到城镇污水处理厂污染物排放标准(GB18918-2002)中的一级A标准。唐云鹭 刘东方 于洁 王进 刘宇星 Jeremy Biddle Garry Hoyland 2013环境工程学报2013,7,6:10

4超疏水石墨烯/甲醛-三聚氰胺-亚硫酸氢钠共聚物海绵的制备及其在油水分离中的应用显示文摘采用两步法合成了石墨烯(GE)改性的超疏水超亲油甲醛-三聚氰胺-亚硫酸氢钠(FMS)共聚物海绵,首先在FMS海绵基质上进行GE原位聚合,然后通过聚甲基苯基硅氧烷构筑超疏水结构。采用FTIR、SEM、TGA、光学接触角测量仪对海绵结构进行表征分析。结果表明,GE成功地修饰了FMS海绵,制备出的GE/FMS共聚物海绵的接触角达158.9°。将GE/FMS共聚物海绵用于油水分离,经20次对机油吸附-解吸附测定后仍能保持稳定的超疏水性质。改性后的GE/FMS海绵具有良好的可重复利用性且对油和有机溶剂具有高度选择吸收性,对氯仿和机油的吸收量分别达到自身质量的约125倍和90倍,对油或有机溶剂的回收率达到87%以上。进一步对油或有机溶剂与水的分离进行了应用模拟,结果表明:改性后的GE/FMS海绵可以高效快速地将油或有机溶剂从水中分离出来,对于投入生产及吸附应用具有实际意义。魏倩 林韶晖 冯献社 REMPEL Garry L 潘勤敏 2019复合材料学报2019,36,7:9
5Nucieocytoplasmic Shuttling of Geminivirus C4 Protein Mediated by Phosphorylation and Myristoylation Is Critical for Viral Pathogenicity显示文摘Many geminivirus C4 proteins induce severe developmental abnormalities in plants.We previously demon- strated that Tomato leaf curl Yunnan virus (TLCYnV)C4 induces plant developmental abnormalities at least partically by decreasing the accumulation of NbSKη,an ortholog of Arabidopsis BIN2 kinase involved in the brassinosteroid signaling pathway,in the nucleus through directing it to the plasma membrane.However, the molecular mechanism by which the membrane-associated C4 modifies the localization of NbSKη in the host cell remains unclear.Here,we show that TLCYnV C4 is a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein,and that C4 shuttling is accompanied by nuclear export of NbSKTI.TLCYnV C4 is phosphorylated by NbSKη in the nucleus,which promotes myristoylation of the viral protein.Myristoylation of phosphorylated C4 favors its interaction with exportin-α(XPO I);which in turn facilitates nuclear export of the C4/NbSKTI complex. Supporting this model,chemical inhibition of N-myristoyltransferases or exportin-α enhanced nuclear retention of C4,and mutations of the putative phosphorylation or myristoylation sites in C4 resulted in increased nuclear retention ofrC4 and thus decreased severity of C4-induced developmental abnormalities. 6Processed beetroot(Beta vulgaris L.)as a natural antioxidant in mayonnaise:Effects on physical stability,texture and sensory attributes显示文摘The oxidative and physical stability of the reformulated mayonnaise with processed beetroot was investigated and compared with a control(mayonnaise without beetroot)and a commercially available product.Processing of beetroot had an impact on the structural integrity of the antioxidants present.Microwaving(960 W for 7 min)was advantageous for preserving the betalain and polyphenol content of beetroot compared to roasting(180◦C for 90 min)and boiling(100◦C for 30 min).The oxidative stability of mayonnaise samples was determined by Rancimat and the thiobarbituric(TBA)assay.The addition of microwaved beetroot significantly enhanced the oxidative stability of mayonnaise at the end of a storage period of 4 weeks(4◦C).Although no significant differences(P>0.05)were detected between the mayonnaise samples containing beetroot and the commercial control,the latter was less susceptible to oxidation during storage.The turbiscan stability index(TSI)revealed that the commercial mayonnaise was less prone to destabilization phenomena.All the textural parameters increased with the incorporation of beetroot.The sensory evaluation revealed that,with the exception of graininess and uniformity,most of the sensory attributes are preserved if not improved with the addition of beetroot.Vassilios Raikos Angela McDonagh Viren Ranawana Garry Duthie 2016Food Science and Human Wellness2016,5,4:4

8Phyiogenetic diversity is a better measure of biodiversity than taxon counting显示文摘Biodiversity is most commonly measured in taxonomiorichness.For example,it is common to describe how diverse a genus or a geographic area is by counting the number of species within them.Phylogenetic diversity (PD),a measurement of the branch lengths in a phylogenetic tree,is a better measure of biodiversity that provides a comparable,evolutionary measure of biodiversity not possible with species counts.Despite its advantages,PD is rarely used as the primary measure of biodiversity.We developed a genus-level phylogeny for nearly 90%of taxonomically described Australian land plants and compared PD to genus richness in multiple clades.The proportion of PD per genera was skewed among clades.Non-angiosperm clades had more PD than expected given the number of genera while angiosperm clades had less PD than expected.For example,ferns comprised only 4.7% of the genera yet 13.0%of the PD,while the angiosperms as a whole comprised 78.9%of the genera but only 62.7%of the PD.It is likely that cultural reasons,such as taxonomic biases,are more important than methodological and biological phenomena in explaining these discrepancies.Regardless of reasons for the observed results,we conclude that a shift towards the use:of PD as the primary descriptor of biodiversity will promote an important conceptual shift in biodiversity studies as a quantitative science.Joseph T.Miller Garry Jolley-Rogers Brent D.Mishler Andrew H.Thornhill 2018Journal of Systematics and Evolution2018,56,6:3
9Regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution in China using a projection pursuit cluster model显示文摘A projection pursuit cluster(PPC) model was used to analyze the regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution in China.The environmental factors impacting the agricultural non-point source pollution were compiled into a projection index to set up the projection index function.A novel optimization algorithm called Free search(FS) was introduced to optimize the projection direction of the PPC model.By making the appropriate improvements as we explored the use of the algorithm,it became simpler,and developed better exploration abilities.Thus,the multi-factor problem was converted into a single-factor cluster,according to the projection,which successfully avoided subjective disturbance and produced objective results.The cluster results of the PPC model mirror the actual regional partitioning of the agricultural non-point source pollution in China,indicating that the PPC model is a powerful tool in multi-factor cluster analysis,and could be a new method for the regional partitioning of agricultural non-point source pollution.XinHu LI ChengYi ZHAO Bin WANG Garry FENG 2011Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4:3
10Carbon dioxide insufflation during colonoscopy in deeply sedated patients显示文摘AIM:To compare the impact of carbon dioxide(CO2) and air insufflation on patient tolerance/safety in deeply sedated patients undergoing colonoscopy.METHODS:Patients referred for colonoscopy were randomized to receive either CO2 or air insufflation during the procedure.Both the colonoscopist and patient were blinded to the type of gas used.During the procedure,insertion and withdrawal times,caecal intubationrates,total sedation given and capnography readings were recorded.The level of sedation and magnitude of patient discomfort during the procedure was assessed by a nurse using a visual analogue scale(VAS)(0-3).Patients then graded their level of discomfort and abdominal bloating using a similar VAS.Complications during and after the procedure were recorded.RESULTS:A total of 142 patients were randomized with 72 in the air arm and 70 in the CO2 arm.Mean age between the two study groups were similar.Insertion time to the caecum was quicker in the CO2 group at 7.3 min vs 9.9 min with air(P = 0.0083).The average withdrawal times were not significantly different between the two groups.Caecal intubation rates were 94.4% and 100% in the air and CO2 groups respectively(P = 0.012).The level of discomfort assessed by the nurse was 0.69(air) and 0.39(CO2)(P = 0.0155) and by the patient 0.82(air) and 0.46(CO2)(P = 0.0228).The level of abdominal bloating was 0.97(air) and 0.36(CO2)(P = 0.001).Capnography readings trended to be higher in the CO2 group at the commencement,caecal intubation,and conclusion of the procedure,even though this was not significantly different when compared to readings obtained during air insufflation.There were no complications in both arms.CONCLUSION:CO2 insufflation during colonoscopy is more efficacious than air,allowing quicker and better cecal intubation rates.Abdominal discomfort and bloating were significantly less with CO2 insufflation.Rajvinder Singh Eu Nice Neo Nazree Nordeen Ganesananthan Shanmuganathan Angelie Ashby Sharon Drummond Garry Nind Elizabeth Murphy Andrew Luck Graeme Tucker William Tam 2012World Journal of Gastroenterology2012,18,25:3
11A new green process for biodiesel production from waste oils via catalytic distillation using a solid acid catalyst-Modeling, economic and environmental analysis显示文摘The challenges in the chemical processing industry today are environmental concerns, energy and capital costs. Catalytic distillation(CD) is a green reactor technology which combines a catalytic reaction and separation via distillation in the same distillation column. Utilization of CD in chemical process development could result in capital and energy savings, and the reduction of greenhouse gases. The efficacy of CD and the economic merits, in terms of energy and equipment savings, brought by CD for the production of biodiesel from waste oil such as yellow grease is quantified. Process flow sheets for industrial routes for an annual production of 10 million gallon ASTM purity biodiesel in a conventional process(reactor followed by distillation) and CD configurations are modeled in Aspen Plus. Material and energy flows, as well as sized unit operation blocks, are used to conduct an economic assessment of each process. Total capital investment, total operating and utility costs are calculated for each process. The waste oil feedstock is yellow grease containing both triglyceride and free fatty acid. Both transesterification and esterification reactions are considered in the process simulations. Results show a significant advantage of CD compared to a conventional biodiesel processes due to the reduction of distillation columns, waste streams and greenhouse gas emissions. 14发生于乳房假体置入女性的间变性大细胞淋巴瘤:173例临床分析显示文摘背景与目的1962年,首例硅胶乳房假体被成功置人体内。1997年,报道了首例与硅胶乳房假体相关的间变性大细胞淋巴瘤(ALCL)。笔者回顾了已发表的37篇文献报道,共79例患者,并收集了94例未报道的病例。方法复习全世界文献。向作者和主治医师寻求文献或病例中缺少的临床和实验数据。由于需要收集的病例信息很多,有时需要在多个地点获得完整的病例信息。因为不是所有被询问的作者和主治医师均提供了信息,所以造成了数据的不完整。结果ALCL病变首先在假体周围血清肿内发现,其肿块附着于包膜,肿块可侵及皮肤,可在区域淋巴结发生,也可在乳房矫形手术中被发现。临床特点呈现多样化,有的仅表现为细胞学阳性结果,肿块自发消退;有的表现为转移性、难治性肿瘤,甚至死亡。其与假体填充物(盐水或硅胶)和置入假体目的(隆乳或乳房再造)没有相关性。在假体信息完整的病例中,患者体内至少置入过1个毛面假体;18例肿块扩散至包膜外,其中9例是致命的。主要的组织化学标记物是cD-30和Alk-1;其他标记物出现频率较低。乳房假体置入女性发生ALCL的风险评估范围是1/500000—1/3000000。结论与乳房假体相关的ALCL是一种新的淋巴瘤,其起源于瘢痕,具有部位和材料特异性,且临床表现呈现多样化,由多因素引起。Garry S.
