1A scoring model for predicting the prognosis of severe viral hepatitis显示文摘The prognosis of patients with severe viral hepatitis is concerned by clinicians, patients and their relatives. Many factors may influence on the prognosis of patients with this disease. 2Kinase domain insert containing receptor promotor controlled suicide gene system kills human umbilical vein endothelial cells显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the killing effect of double suicide gene mediated by adenovirus and regulated under kinase domain insert containing receptor (KDR) promoter on human umbilical vein endothelial cells. METHODS: By PCR technology, human KDR promoter gene, Escherichia coli(E. coli) cytosine deaminase (CD) gene and the herpes simple virus-thymidine kinase (TK) gene were cloned. Plasmid pKDR-CDglyTK was constructed with them. Then, a recombinant adenoviral plasmid pAdKDRCDglyTK was constructed in a 'two-step transformation protocol'. The newly constructed plasmids were transfected to 293 packaging cells to grow adenoviruses, which were further propagated and purified. Human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVEC) were infected with a different multiplicity of infection (MOI) of resultant recombinant adenovirus, the infection rate was measured with the aid of (GFP) expression. Infected cells were cultured in culture media containing different concentrations of (GCV) and/or 5-(FC), and the killing effects were measured.RESULTS: Recombinant adenoviruses AdKDR-CDglyTK were successfully constructed, and they infected HUVEC cells efficiently. Our data indicated that the infection rate was relevant to MOI of recombinant adenoviruses. HUVEC cells infected with AdKDR-CDglyTK were highly sensitive to the prodrugs, their survival rate correlated to both the concentration of the prodrugs and the MOI of recombinant adenoviruses. Our data also indicated that the two prodrugs used in combination were much more effective on killing transgeneic cells than GCV or 5-FC used alone. CONCLUSION: Prodrug/KDR-CDglyTK system is effective on killing HUVEC cells, its killing effect correlates to the concentration of prodrugs and recombinant adenovirus' MOI. 4Electroanatomical systems to guided circumferential pulmonary veins ablation for atrial fibrillation: initial experience from comparison between the Ensite/NavX and CARTO system显示文摘Background The circumferential pulmonary vein ablation (CPVA) has been proved effective for atrial fibrillation (AF) treatment and is becoming more widely accepted and practiced. This study aims to evaluate the characteristics of the CARTO and the Ensite/NavX system and draw a comparison between them on the aspects of procedural parameters and clinical effectiveness.Methods Seventy-five cases with paroxysmal or chronic symptomatic AF were randomly assigned to CPVA procedure guided by the Ensite/NavX system (group Ⅰ, n=40) and by the CARTO system (group Ⅱ, n=35). After successful transseptal procedure, the geometry of left atrium was created under the guidance of the two systems. Radiofrequency energy was applied to circumferentially ablate tissues out of pulmonary veins’ (PVs’) ostia. In cases with chronic AF, linear ablation was applied to modify the substrate of left atrium ((LA).) The endpoint of the procedure was complete PVs isolation. Results Seventy-five cases underwent the procedure successfully. The total procedure and fluoroscopic durations in group Ⅱ were significantly shorter than in group Ⅰ [(150±23) min and (18±17) min versus (170±34) min and (25±16) min, P=0.03 and 0.04, respectively]. There was no significant difference in the fluoroscopic and procedure durations for geometry creation between group Ⅰ and group Ⅱ [(8±4) min and (16±11) min versus (5±4) min and (14±8) min, respectively]. The fluoroscopic durations for CPVA were (15±5) min in group Ⅰ versus (10±6) min in group Ⅱ (P=0.05), and the CPVA procedural durations were significantly shorter in group Ⅱ than in group Ⅰ [(18±11) min versus (25±10) min, P=0.04]. AF was terminated by radio frequency delivery in 14 cases (35%) in group Ⅰ versus 5 cases (14%) in group Ⅱ (P=0.035). After CPVA complete PV isolation was attained in 26 cases (65%) in group Ⅰ versus 11 cases (31%) in group Ⅱ (P=0.004). During a mean follow-up of 7 months, 32 (80%) cases in group Ⅰ and 24 (69%) cases in group Ⅱ were arrhythmia-free (P=0.06). One case developed pericardium effusion and another one case was found to have intestinal artery thrombosis in group Ⅱ. One case had moderate hemothorax in group Ⅰ. All the complications were cured by proper treatment. No PV stenosis was observed. Conclusions The CPVA procedure for atrial fibrillation is effective and safe. 5Microstructural characterization of electron beam welded joints of TiAl-based intermetallic compound显示文摘The feasibility to use electron beam welding to join the nominal composition Ti-48Al-2Cr-2Nb (at.%) alloy was assessed. The microstructure characterization and cracking susceptibility of the joints were evaluated by means of OM,SEM, XRD, and microhardness. It was found that the welded microstructure exhibited columnar and dendritic structures.Microstructural constituents in the fusion zone were a massive gamma structure and some amount of lamellar structure consisting of alternating platelets of α2 and γ. The major contributing factor to the susceptibility to solidification cracking was microsturctural change in this study for the suppression of α phase decomposition leading to produce more retained α2 britfie phase. 6NUMERICAL STUDY ON THE UNSTEADY INTERACTION FLOW IN A CENTRIFUGAL COMPRESSOR STAGE显示文摘Numerical simulation on the unsteady flow in a centrifugal compressor is performed, and compared with the experimental data. The influence of the impeller-diffuser interaction on the flowfields is discussed, and the reasons for the losses are also explored. Results show that qualitative and quite fair quantitative agreements are achieved between the predicted and measured flowfields. The influence of the impeller wake on the convexity surface of diffuser is great. The potential repercussion of the diffuser on the suction surface of the impeller is much larger than on the pressure surface. Effect of the unsteady interaction is strongest in the radial gap. 7Localized 3D-structural features of dynamic-chemical processes of urban air pollution in Beijing winter显示文摘The Beijing City Air Pollution Observation Field Experiment (BECAPEX) is described with emphases on the 損oint-surface?research approach and composite analysis. The analysis results of measurements from four observation sites across the Beijing urban area from January to March indicate that the overall impact of urban emission sources in the heating season is significant, and the staggered impact of urban emission sources has different features at observation sites over different parts of Beijing in both heat-ing and non-heating seasons. The pollutants NOx, SO2 and CO in the urban boundary layer have the in-phase variation features over a large area. O3 concentrations at different sites have the same variation trend but its change is reversed phases with above pollutants. The pollutants over the urban area in heating and non-heating seasons also have the syn-chronous variation trend. The comprehensive sounding of BECAPEX indicates that pollutants and aerosol vertical profiles are closely correlated to the vertical structure of the large-scale inversion layer in the urban boundary layer over the urban area. 8Characterization of the unprecedented polynya events north of Greenland in 2017/2018 using remote sensing and reanalysis data显示文摘Based on an ice concentration threshold of 90%,it has been identified that two polynya events occurred in the region north of Greenland during the 2017/2018 ice season.The winter event lasted from February 20 to March 3,2018 and the summer event persisted from August 2 to September 5,2018.The minimum ice concentration derived from Advanced Microwave Scanning Radiometer 2(AMSR2)observations was 72%and 65%during the winter and summer events,respectively.The occurrence of both events can be related to strengthened southerly winds associated with an increased east-west zonal surface level air pressure gradient across the north Greenland due to perturbation of mid-troposphere polar vortex.The relatively warm air temperature during the 2017/2018 freezing season in comparison with previous years,together with the occurrence of the winter polynya,formed favourable pre-conditions for ice field fracturing in summer,which promoted the formation of the summer polynya.Diminished southerly winds and increased cover of new ice over the open water were the dominant factors for the disappearance of the winter polynya,whereas increased ice inflow from the north was the primary factor behind the closure of the summer polynya.Sentinel-1 Synthetic Aperture Radar(SAR)images were found better suited than AMSR2 observations for quantification of a new ice product during the polynya event because the SAR images have high potential for mapping of different sea ice regimes with finely spatial resolution.The unprecedented polynya events north of Greenland in 2017/2018 are important from the perspective of Arctic sea ice loss because they occurred in a region that could potentially be the last“Arctic sea ice refuge”in future summers.Ruibo Lei Dawei Gui Zhouli Yuan Xiaoping Pang Ding Tao Mengxi Zhai 2020Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,9:3

11Effect of Heat Treatment on Microstructures and Properties of Near-Isothermally Forged TiAl Alloy Containing Minor Ni显示文摘The heat treatment, including two steps, was proposed to obtain Fine Fully Lamellar (FFL) microstructure on TiAl containing minor Ni. The first step was in (a+y) phase region to get Duplex (DP) microstructure, and the second step was in a phase region transforming DP microstructure into FFL microstructure. The effect of heat treatment on microstructures and properties was studied. The results showed that the static recrystallization kinetics in (a+y) phase region took the form of Avrami equitation, and the remnant lamellae in DP microstructure were detrimental to room temperature tensile properties. 12Biomass accumulation and nutrient uptake of 16 riparian woody plant species in Northeast China显示文摘Our research focused on eutrophication control and species screening for riparian zone vegetation restoration in the upstream reach of the Hun River. We studied 16 hardwood plant species to investigate nutrient concentrations and nitrogen and phosphorus accumulations. After about 120 days of growth in pots, these 16 species varied in dry matter biomass, ranging from 15.13 to 637.16 g. Total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorus(TP) concentrations and distribution in roots, stems and foliage differed both within and between tested species. Mean TN and TP accumulation ranged from 0.167 to 14.730 g per plant and from 0.016 to 1.20 g, respectively. 17Preparation,model construction and efficacy lipid-lowering evaluation of kiwifruit juice fermented by probiotics显示文摘In this study,kiwi juice was fermented with acid-resistant and bile-resistant probiotics to screen out lactic acid bacteria that can lower cholesterol and were suitable for kiwi fermentation.A non-linear fitting equation was used to establish a kinetic model of probiotics fermenting kiwi juice(R^(2)>0.90),and then a fermented juice with special effects of lowering fat was prepared.We have studied the lipid-lowering effect of fermented fruit juice through in vivo validation experiments in mice,and determined the lipid-lowering effect of fermented fruit juice according to the mouse serum indicators and the distribution of intestinal flora.The results suggested that the juice fermented with Bifidobacterium bifidum 6169 and Lactobacillus plantarum 21805 were more effective in cholesterol degradation,and the cholesterol degradation rates were 67.57%and 64.22%,respectively.The number of viable bacteria after fermentation was significantly higher than other groups(p<0.05),and the sensory score was also higher.In addition,the serum indicators were significantly ameliorated and the number of beneficial microorganisms in the intestinal flora increased after the high-fat mice were treated with fermented kiwifruit juice.The research indicates that the fermented products have a regulatory effect on cholesterol levels in mice with hyperlipidemia.Yu Wang Hongcai Li Yichen Ren Yaqin Wang Ren Yaopeng Wang Xiaowei Yue Tianli Wang Zhouli Gao Zhenpeng 2022Food Bioscience2022,47,3:1
18Design of an RFQ for direct plasma injection scheme显示文摘A high current radio frequency quadrupole (RFQ) is being studied at the Institute of Modern Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IMP, CAS) for the direct plasma injection scheme (DPIS). Because of the strong space charge of beams from laser ion source, the beam dynamics design of the RFQ has been carried out with a new code, which can deal with space charge effectively. The design of the RFQ structure is performed with an electromagnetic simulation code and the determination of parameters of the structure has been done to maximize the shunt impedance when the frequency is kept fixed.
